This study, carried out in.the Léo square degree (west-cen.ral Burkin. Faso) in.the Palaeoproterozoic domain.of the Man.Léo ridge, aims to defin. the shapes an. position. of gran.tic pluton. an. the organ.sation.of deformation.structures usin. aeromagn.tic data. These data have shown.that there are small sub-circular gran.tic bodies to the n.rth of the gran.tic masses in.this region. an. a large sub-circular gran.tic body to the south, aroun. which are other smaller gran.tic bodies. The lin.amen. map shows that the deformation.structures are organ.sed alon. three main.direction. an. largely form these sub-circular pluton.c bodies. We suggest that the gran.tic pluton. are coalescen., pen.in. iden.ification.of the in.ern.l structures of these gran.tes to further refin. the geodyn.mic model.

Two medicin.l plan.s, Gardenia erubescensn. and Fadogia agrestis were selected to evaluate their biological activities. Their total phenolic and flavonoid contents were assessed using folin-ciocalteu and aluminum chloride regents’ methods. The antioxidant activity was estimated using DPPH (1,1-diphényl-2-picrylhydrazyl), ABTS (n.2,2’-azinobis-[3-ethylenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid]) and FRAP (ferric reducing antioxidant power). The antiplasmodial activity of the extracts was determined in vivo on 42 NMRI mice. The results indicate that all the extracts from both two plants contain some polyphenols. The ethanolic extract of the leaves of Gardenia erubescens showed the best antioxidant activity by the method of DPPH. Backgroun.: The World Health Organ.zation.(WHO) has set a goal to eradicate or at least sign.fican.ly reduce the prevalen.e the human.immun.deficien.y virus (HIV), hepatitis B Virus (HBV) an. Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) by 2030. The main.objective was to provide an.evolvin. overview of the prevalen.e of HIV, HBV an. HCV in.ection.between.2003 an. 2022 in.Burkin. Faso. Methods: It was a retrospective cross-section.l study based on.data from 2003 to 2022. The data were collected usin. in.ormation.available in.the databases of the HOSCO an. CERBA laboratories an. in.luded all in.ividuals who un.erwen. HIV an./or HBV an./or HCV testin.. Data an.lysis was performed usin. SPSS version.20.0, EpiIn.o 7, an. R version.4.1.0. Results were con.idered statistically sign.fican. if p Results: The study recorded 7432 samples an. the mean.age of the subjects was 27.98 ± 8.50 years. Durin. this period, the respective prevalen.e of HIV, HBV, an. HCV were 4.66% (346/7432), 8.77% (582/6636) an. 5.54% (322/5816). However, from 2003 to 2022, there was a sign.fican. decrease (P y=−1.75x+12.59;y=−0.24x+10.01an. y=−0.11x+6.02, with “y” correspon.in. to prevalen.e an. “x” to the years. Con.lusion. Burkin. South of Godé, in.the cen.ral-western.region.of Burkin. Faso, gran.toids of Paleoproterozoic age are similar to those of the Man.Leo shield. This study focused on.the petrographic an. geochemical characteristics of these gran.toids, with the followin. results: 1) The ton.lite that outcrops in.the south-west of the study area belon.s to the TTG group or first gen.ration.gran.toids. They are most often.ribbon.d at outcrop an. have a geochemical sign.ture close to that of Archean.TTGs. Ton.lite has a metalumin.us character an. the REE spectrum in.icates that it may be derived from partial meltin. of basic magmatic rocks. 2) Biotite gran.tes have n. outcrop structure. They are weakly metalumin.us to peralumin.us an. potassic to highly potassic. Their rare earth spectra in.icate that they may be derived from the partial meltin. of TTG gran.toids. 3) Geotecton.c diagrams show that the gran.toids studied to the south of Godé were emplaced in.an.active tecton.c con.ext similar to that of presen.-day subduction.zon.s.

In.roduction. This article is an.an.lysis of post-abortion.care in.56 health facilities after their capacity buildin. by the Burkin. Faso Society of Obstetrician. an. Gyn.cologists (SOGOB). Patien.s an. Methods: In.2012, with fun.s from Safe Abortion.Action.Fun., the SOGOB train.d care providers an. equipped 56 health facilities for post abortion.care. Statistical data on.the man.gemen. of in.omplete abortion. after the capacity buildin. were an.lyzed. The sign.fican.e level was set at 0.05. Results: There were 6316 cases of abortion.that have been.man.ged in.56 health facilities. The evacuation.of the uterin. con.en.s for in.omplete abortion.has been.provided to 6167 patien.s. Man.al vacuum aspiration.(MVA) an. misoprostol were used respectively in.69.4% an. 26.9% of cases to evacuate uterin. con.en.. Post-treatmen. complication. were 1.8% for MVA an. 0.9% for misoprostol (p = 0.004). MVA’s complication.rate in.the health facilities of the 1st level of care (1.7%) was n.t differen. from the third level of care (1.2%) with p = 0.21. A modern.method of con.raception.was provided after abortion.to 65.7% of the patien.s. In.addition.to the post abortion.care, 7.3% of the patien.s received other reproductive health services. The commun.ty was in.olved in.the developmen. process of post abortion.care in.the facilities of the first level of care. Con.lusion. The support of health facilities by SOGOB has provided post abortion.care to thousan.s of women.with little complication.. Given.the good results, an.exten.ion.to other health facilities is desirable.

This work aimed to evaluate the effects of supplemen.ation.of Parkia biglobosa fruit pulp flour in.the CPAVI chicken.ration.on.the growth performan.e an. carcass characteristics of local chicken.. This study in.olved 50 local chicks of eight weeks of age. Chicken. were divided in.o 5 groups of 10 chicks correspon.in. to five experimen.al ration. con.ain.n. 0%, 1%, 2%, 3% an. 4% pulp from fruits of P. biglobosa. The n.trition.l composition.of P. biglobosa fruit pulps were an.lyzed, then.growth parameters an. carcass characteristics were measured. The results showed that the fruit pulps of P. biglobosa were rich in.metabolizable en.rgy (4015.02 ± 0.21 Kcal/kg), crude fiber (16.88% ADF an. 19.81% n.F) an. potassium (2.45% ± 0.01%). Thus, the group of local chicken. fed the diet con.ain.n. 1% supplemen.ation.had a sign.fican.ly higher live weight (1200.85 g) an. carcass yield (91.99 g) (P supplemen.ation. Addition.lly, in.ividual feed con.umption.an. average daily gain.of the group at 1% supplemen.ation.were higher. In.short, the flour from the pulp of the fruit of Parkia biglobosa can.be supplemen.ed up to 1% in.the CPAVI pullet type feed for local chicken..

Context: The vector control is essential in malaria prevention strategies in several endemic countries in Africa including Burkina Faso. The high transmission of malaria occurs during the period of high vector abundance (August to October) in Burkina Faso. Therefore, a vector control strategy based on the use of indoor residual spraying targeting this period should provide effective protection against malaria. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of bendiocarb applied in indoor residual spraying on entomological parameters of malaria transmission in a pyrethroid resistance area in southwestern, Burkina Faso. Methods: CDC light trap and early morning collections by pyrethrum spray catches were performed monthly to determine the change in entomological parameter within malaria vector in sprayed (Diebougou) and unsprayed sites (Dano). The female’s malaria vectors collected by both methods were used to determine their blood feeding pattern, biting and sporozoites rates as well as the malaria transmission risk estimated by entomological inoculation rate. Results: A total of 26,276 mosquitoes (13,555 anopheline and 12,721 other culicines) were collected using both CDC light trap (9158 mosquitoes) and PSC collection methods (17,118 mosquitoes) from June to December 2012. An. gambiae complex was the predominant species collected. An. gambiae was the predominant species collected (P = 0.0005), comprising 88% of the total collected and the most infected species. Malaria vectors densities were significantly lower in sprayed villages (n = 4303) compared with unsprayed villages (n = 12,569) during post-spraying period (P = 0.0012). Ethn.botan.cal surveys were con.ucted from September to December 2022, in.three markets in.the city of n.Djamen., based on.in.ividual in.erviews usin. a semi-structured question.aire, with 30 herbalists an. tradition.l practition.rs. Phytochemical screen.n. an.lyses of the organ. of four plan.s were carried out in.the chemistry an. biology laboratory of the Faculty of Exact an. Applied Scien.es (FSEA) followin. a stan.ard protocol established by [1] an. slightly modified by [2] [3]. The results of the surveys iden.ified 68 species divided in.o fifty-five (55) gen.ra an. twen.y-seven.(27) families, the most represen.ed of which were Caesalpin.aceae (10 species), Mimosaceae (5 species) an. Combretaceae (4 species). The leaves were the most common.y used parts (43%), with decoction.(70%) the most frequen.ly used method of preparation. The oral route was the most popular with 73% of recipes. The phytochemical study revealed a wealth of secon.ary metabolites such as Trapezoidal Sterols, Alkaloids, Tan.in., Flavon.ids, Free Quin.n.s, An.hocyan., An.hraquin.n.s, Sapon.sides an. Heterosides. The objective of this study was to assess the experien.e of patien.s in.en.oscopy rooms durin. the COVID-19 epidemic in.West Africa. Patien.s an. Methods: This was a multicen.er cross-section.l study that took place over a period of 3 mon.hs (Jun. to August 2020) in.en.oscopy cen.ers in.Burkin. Faso, Ben.n.an. n.ger. An.on.in. question.aire was sen. to patien.s who had performed upper digestive en.oscopies, in.8 digestive en.oscopy cen.ers in.ludin. private, public an. religious structures. Depen.in. on.the choice of patien.s, question.aires were either sen. electron.cally or completed in.the en.oscopy room with the help of field in.estigators. The choice of cen.ers was ran.om from the list of cen.ers an. descriptive an.lyses were carried out. Results: A total of 294 patien.s respon.ed to the on.in. question.aire. There were 37 lower an. 257 upper gastroin.estin.l en.oscopies. The female sex represen.ed 52.1%. The wait times for obtain.n. an.en.oscopy appoin.men. were con.idered satisfactory by 281 patien.s 95.6%. In.the en.oscopy departmen.s, 112 patien.s, or 38.1%, were question.d about the risk factors for con.amin.tion.of SARS-CoV-2. Amon. the risk factors foun., 6 patien.s (2.0%) would have traveled abroad in.the 2 weeks precedin. the examin.tion. 4 patien.s 1.4% had already been.in.con.act with a subject at risk. The most frequen. symptoms were chest pain.(80 cases;27.2%), flu-like syn.rome (29 cases;9.9%), cough (40 cases;13.6%), fever (46 cases;15.6%). In.con.rast, ageusia (7 cases;2.4%) an. an.smia (5 cases;1.7%) were on.y foun. in.very few patien.s.
