OBJECTIVE: To compa.e the effica.y a.0} sa.ety of combin.d recta. diclofen.c a.0} in.ra.uscula. pen.a.ocin. with in.ra.uscula. pen.a.ocin. a.on. for post opera.ive pa.n.con.rol followin. lower segmen. ca.sa.ea.0}section. METHODOLOGY: a.tota. of 120 women.who met the selection.criteria.scheduled for ca.sa.ea.0}section.un.er spin.l a.0}esthesia.with bupiva.a.n. were ra.0}omized in.o two equa. groups to receive either 75 mg diclofen.c suppository 12 hourly for 24 hours or on. a.0}sol suppository (the pla.ebo) 12 hourly for 24 hours. Both groups received pen.a.ocin. a. prima.y a.0}lgesia. RESULT: The prima.y outcome mea.ure is the proportion.of pa.ien.s with severe pa.n.a. 24 hours usin. the visua. a.0}logue ra.in. sca.e. Secon.a.y outcome mea.ures a.e the time from surgery to a.bula.ion. Pa.sa.e of fla.us, ma.ern.l sa.isfa.tion.a.0} presen.e of complica.ion.. Sta.istica. a.0}lysis wa. don. usin. spss version.22 a.0} gra.h pa. sta.istica. pa.ka.e. Studen. T-test wa. used for con.in.ous va.ia.les wherea. chi squa.e wa. used for ca.egorica. va.ia.les P COn.LUSIOn. a.juva.0} recta. diclofen.c is superior to pen.a.ocin. a.on. in.the ma.0}gemen. of pa.n.a.ter ca.sa.ea.0}section. Less n.mber of pa.ien.s ha. modera.e to severe pa.n.a. 24 hours post opera.ion. Ma.ern.l sa.isfa.tion.in.rela.ion.to pa.n.ma.0}gemen. is better with diclofen.c suppository. The levels of complica.ion. were compa.a.le in.both groups.

Rhizobium tropici-derived extra.ellula. polymeric substa.0}es (EPS) ha.e been.used in.soils to en.a.0}e soil structures a.0} mitiga.e soil erosion.. However, in.orma.ion.on.their use to improve soil hea.th a.0} fertility in.ica.ors, a.0} pla.0} growth is limited. In.a.green.ouse study, we in.estiga.ed their effects on.some soil hea.th, soil fertility in.ices, a.0} the growth of bla.k-eyed pea. (Vign. un.uicula.e). Results showed tha. soils in.uba.ed with EPS sign.fica.0}ly in.rea.ed ba.a. soil respira.ion. soil microbia. bioma.s, perma.0}a.0}te oxidiza.le ca.bon.(POC), a.0} poten.ia.ly min.ra.iza.le n.trogen.(PMn.. The EPS shifted microbia. popula.ion. from ba.teria.to fun.i a.0} Gra. (−ve) to Gra. ( ve) ba.teria. However, it ha. little or n. effects on.soil pH, soil orga.0}c ma.ter (SOM), a.0} ca.ion.excha.0}e ca.a.ity (CEC). The EPS decrea.ed soil moisture loss, in.rea.ed soil a.grega.e sta.ility, but dela.ed bla.ked-eyed pea. germin.tion. in.the soils. a. 0.1% (w/w) con.en.ra.ion. in.soils, there wa. in.rea.e in.pla.0} root n.dula.ion. a.0} vegeta.ive growth.
