Imaging volumes during COVID-19:A Victorian health service experience

BACKGROUND The World Health Organisation declared the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)a pandemic on March 11,*** globally,the relative caseload has been high,Australia’s has been relatively *** the pandemic,radiology services have seen significant changes in workflow across modalities and a reduction in imaging *** To investigate differences in modality imaging volumes during the COVID-19 pandemic across a large Victorian public health *** A retrospective analysis from January 2019 to December 2020 compared imaging volumes across two periods corresponding to the pandemic’s first and second *** volumes across patient class,modality and mobile imaging were summed for periods:wave 1(weeks 11 to 16 for 2019;weeks 63 to 68 for 2020)and wave 2(weeks 28 to 43 for 2019;weeks 80 to 95 for 2020).Microsoft Power Business Intelligence linked to the radiology information system was used to mine all completed *** Summed weekly data during the pandemic’s first wave showed the greatest decrease of 29.8%in adult outpatient imaging volumes and 46.3%in paediatric emergency department imaging *** nuclear medicine demonstrated the greatest decrease of 37.1%for the same *** nuclear medicine showed the greatest decrease of 47.8%,with angiography increasing by 50%.The pandemic’s second wave demonstrated the greatest decrease of 23.5%in adult outpatient imaging volumes,with an increase of 18.2%in inpatient imaging *** greatest decrease was 28.5%in paediatric emergency department imaging *** medicine showed the greatest decrease of 37.1%for the same *** nuclear medicine showed the greatest decrease of 36.7%.Mobile imaging utilisation increased between 57.8%and 135.1%during the first and second waves.A strong correlation was observed between mobile and nonmobile imaging in the emergency setting(Spearman’s correlation coefficient=-0.743,P=0.000).No correlation was observed in

The propagation of coherent light in multimode optical fibers results in a speckled output that is both complex and sensitive to environmental *** properties can be a powerful tool for sensing,as small perturbations lead to significant changes in the output of the ***,the mechanism to encode spatially resolved sensing information into the speckle pattern and the ability to extract this information are thus far *** this paper,we demonstrate that spatially dependent mode coupling is crucial to achieving spatially resolved *** leverage machine learning to quantitatively extract the spatially resolved sensing information from three fiber types with dramatically different characteristics and demonstrate that the fiber with the highest degree of spatially dependent mode coupling provides the greatest accuracy.

Objective:To investigate the prevalence and risk factors associated with long COVID symptoms among children and adolescents who have recovered from ***:This study applied a cross-sectional approach within community settings in a southern province of Vietnam.A structured questionnaire featuring socio-demographic information and common long COVID symptoms was *** correlation coefficients assessed associations among pairs of long COVID ***,multivariable logistic regression models were performed to investigate the risk factors of long COVID in recovered COVID-19 children and ***:Among 422 participants,39.3%reported long COVID symptoms,with a prevalence of 45.2%(SD=0.5)in children and 22.2%(SD=0.4)in *** symptoms reported were cough 34.6%(SD=0.5),fatigue 20.6%(SD=0.4),shortness of breath 10.9%(SD=0.3),and lack of appetite 6.6%(SD=0.3).Concerning risk factors of long COVID,a higher risk was observed among demographic groups,including girls(OR 1.25,95%CI 1.15-1.37;P<0.001,reference:boys),children compared to adolescents(OR 1.24,95%CI 1.12-1.37;P<0.001),overweight individuals(OR 1.14,95%CI 1.02-1.27;P=0.018,reference:healthy weight),and participants without any COVID-19 vaccination(OR 1.36,95%CI 1.20-1.54;P<0.001),or have received only one single dose(OR 1.35,95%CI 1.10-1.64;P=0.004)compared to those who have received two ***,patients with a COVID-19 treatment duration exceeding two weeks also had a higher risk of long COVID(OR 1.32,95%CI 1.09-1.60;P=0.003)than those who recovered less than seven ***:The insights from this study provide crucial guidance for predicting the factors associated with the occurrence of long COVID in pediatric patients,contributing to strategic interventions aimed at mitigating the long COVID risks among children and adolescents in Vietnam.

《汉语》是越南汉语教学的常用教材,出版于2002年。本研究针对越南汉语教材《汉语》中高级阶段的练习题,着重探讨其在提升学生语言水平和实际应用能力方面的效果。考虑到当前对该教材练习题的研究相对不足且缺乏与其他教材的对比,本研究选择了《汉语》教材作为研究对象,并与其他汉语教材进行对比研究,旨在揭示其独特特点和可能存在的不足之处。本文对《汉语》三册教材中的语言知识习题和言语技能习题进行了统计分析,总结了其编排特征。首先,语言知识习题主要集中在句型和语段习题上,词汇习题较少,汉字习题缺乏,反映了中高级阶段的特点,但存在分布不均衡的问题。题型设计新颖,但高频题型有限,语段习题功能性和趣味性不足。其次,言语技能习题的数量分布不均衡,阅读和口语习题比例最高。写作习题题型数量少,影响学生的写作能力发展和学习体验,教学内容缺乏多样性和灵活性。综上所述,教材在题量和题型分布上存在改进空间,需要在设计时予以重视和调整,以提升学生的语言运用能力和教学效果。本文研究了《汉语》教材中的习题内容,重点分析了语音、词汇、句型、语段和文化等方面的特点。语音习题强调声调和语调训练,词汇习题注重词语运用,句型习题培养灵活运用能力,语段习题重视组织结构和逻辑思维,文化习题通过写作和翻译增强跨文化交际能力。研究发现,教材习题设计全面,注重基础知识和综合运用能力,具有实用性和趣味性,涵盖日常生活和文化因素,有助于提升综合语言素养。建议在教学中灵活运用,进行差异化教学。本文对比了《汉语》教材与范杨洲的《汉语教程》在习题形式和习题内容方面的差异,本文得出了结果:在内容方面,《汉语》还存在不足之处:第一,教材缺乏相应的听力理解习题;第二,在口头表达能力方面,分角色对话习题的数量相对较少;第三,在书面表达能力方面,习题形式相对传统,缺乏创新;最后,在文化方面可以进一步扩展和丰富这方面的内容。在习题形式方面,教材充分考虑了学习者的学习阶段和需求,设计了机械性、理解运用性和交际性三类习题。特别是在理解运用性和交际性习题方面,教材设计了丰富多样的题型。在观察与分析过程中,本人还发现了一些不足之处。特别是在《汉语》(10册)教材中,机械性习题和交际性习题的数量明显不足,而理解运用性习题的比重过大。通过对《汉语》使用者进行问卷调查和访谈,本文发现他们对《汉语》教材习题相对满意。尽管如此,他们也提出《汉语》教材习题还存在一些问题:第一,一些课文的主题内容已显得陈旧;第二,需要增加听力和口语习题;第三,在习题中添加插图;最后,尽管他们对文化因素很满意,但他们还建议增加文化因素。综上所述,本研究的结果对于越南《汉语》教材习题的修订和再版,以及未来越南教材习题的编写具有重要的参考价值。通过对《汉语》教材习题的深入分析和评估,并与范杨洲的《汉语教程》进行对比研究,结合师生对《汉语》习题的使用情况、习题编排的满意度和需求,本研究提出了一系列改进建议。这些建议涵盖增加听力习题、加强文化因素的融入、提高习题的趣味性和多样性等方面。尤其需要加强对中高级水平学习者的习题设计和使用分析,以更好地满足他们的学习需求。本文期望这些建议不仅能够协助改进现有教材的质量,也能够为未来教材编写提供借鉴和参考,进一步促进汉语教学质量的提升。

对于在当今动态的商业环境中寻求提高供应链绩效的组织来说,选择第三方物流(3PL)提供商是一项至关重要的战略决策。分析了2002—2023年发表的116篇学术文章,鉴别并探讨了3PL选择决策中的三类方法:多标准决策(MCDM)、数学规划(MP)和人工智能集成(AI)。此外,基于这些论文所采用的高达1 552个标准,提出了一个普遍适用的三层分析框架,并就五个关键方面:业务实力和声誉、服务质量、成本和定价、技术能力、可持续性进行了阐述。强调了在3PL选择中除了传统标准之外,还需要对技术和可持续性进行更为全面的评估。

Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH),an advanced form of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD),has emerged as the leading cause of liver failure and related ***,no medication is specifically approved to treat NAFLD or *** we report that oral administration of honey vesiclelike nanoparticles(H-VLNs)to naturally aged mice protects the liver from NASH development.H-VLNs are dominantly taken up by Kupffer cells in the liver and suppress hepatic chronic inflammation and further development of fibrosis and nodule formation in aged *** their reported antiinflammasome function,H-VLNs are found to inhibit the transcriptional activities of C-JUN and nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB).MicroRNAs miR5119 and miR5108 and phenolic compound luteolin in H-VLNs are identified in suppressing both the C-JUN and NF-kB ***,oral intake of H-VLNs represents a promising new user-friendly modality to prevent the development of NASH.

BACKGROUND Chylothorax is an uncommon condition in which chyle leaks into the pleural cavity,and biliary peritonitis is a rare complication of thoracic duct embolization in clinical *** SUMMARY We describe the case of a 50-year-old woman who presented with chylothorax and underwent thoracic duct embolization using a coil and a mixture of histoacryl glue and *** patient developed upper abdominal pain and fever after the *** was diagnosed with biliary peritonitis and treated with cholecystectomy at Hanoi Medical University *** Although thoracic duct embolization is considered a safe and minimally invasive procedure,it is not without *** thoracic duct embolization,severe or persistent abdominal pain should be explored utilizing imaging data and laboratory results to determine problems as soon as possible.

Shear strength model of the reinforced concrete beams with embedded through-section strengthening bars

In this study,finite element(FE)analysis is utilized to investigate the shear capacity of reinforced concrete(RC)beams strengthened with embedded through-section(ETS)*** of critical variables on the beam shear strength,including the compressive strength of concrete,stiffness ratio between ETS bars and steel stirrups,and use of ETS strengthening system alone,are parametrically investigated.A promising method based on the bond mechanism between ETS strengthening and concrete is then proposed for predicting the shear resistance forces of the strengthened *** expression for the maximum bond stress of the ETS bars to concrete is *** new expression eliminates the difficulty in the search and selection of appropriate bond parameters from adhesion *** results obtained from the FE models and analytical models are validated by comparison with those measured from the ***,the model proposed in this study demonstrates better performance and more accuracy for prediction of the beam shear-carrying capacity than those of existing *** results obtained from this study can also serve researchers and engineers in selection of the proper shear strength models for design of ETS-strengthened RC beams.

This paper develops a discrete-time sliding mode controller with a power rate exponential reaching law approach to enhance the performance of a pneumatic artificial muscle system in both reaching time and chattering *** proposed method dynamically adapts to the variation of the switching function,which is based on an exponential term and a power rate term of the sliding ***,the controlled system can achieve high tracking performance while still obtain chattering-free ***,the effectiveness of the proposed method is validated through multiple experimental tests,focused on a dual pneumatic artificial muscle ***,experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed approach in this paper.
