This article contributes to a small but growing body of multi-sited and multi-scalar research on the Belt and Road *** focus on relations at the national,regional and international scales,and present original research from China and Turkey,to show how the Istanbul-Ankara high-speed railway has served as a testing ground for China's Belt and Road Initiative(BRI).Its construction was initially funded by the European Investment Bank,but it is now part of the backbone of the Turkish Government's Middle Corridor plan which enhances west-east connectivity and integration with the Caucasus and Central *** show that in contrast to multinational corporations from the OECD that seek to remain footloose,Chinese state-owned enterprises(SOEs)seek to adapt to,apprehend and ultimately shape local *** the case of Turkey this proved difficult given its institutional alignment with the European ***,while the railway project was completed successfully by a consortium led by a Chinese SOE,Turkey's dynamic and complex regulatory environment discourages Chinese SOEs in the infrastructure *** conclude that the Turkish and Chinese governments are currently pursuing complementary territorial visions yet their cooperation is project-based and pragmatic.

Acarbose is an agent that has been used to treat type 2 diabetes for about 30 years;it prevents postprandial hyperglycemia by inhibiting carbohydrate digestion in the small *** incretin-based treatments have been preferred over the last 10 to 15 years,the use of acarbose is not as common in treating type 2 diabetes as *** studies have shown that acarbose also produces a weight-loss effect by increasing glucagon-like peptide 1(GLP-1).The positive effect of acarbose on GLP-1,and increasing evidence that it provides cardiovascular protection,suggests that acarbose may again be considered among the first-choice antidiabetic agents,as it was in the 1990s.

This paper shows that monotone self-dual Boolean functions in irredundant disjuntive normal form （IDNF） do not have more variables than disjuncts. Monotone self-dual Boolean functions in IDNF with the same number of variables and disjuncts are examined. An algorithm is proposed to test whether a monotone Boolean function in IDNF with n variables and n disjuncts is self-dual. The runtime of the algorithm is O（n3）.

Bending process is one of the most significant fields of application of sheet metal die. Sheet metals are ex posed to some spring back or spring-forward depending on elastic deformation following bending process. S235JR （1. 003 8） materials having a thickness of 4 mm were bent with 90° punches having 5 different tip radiuses. The ben- ding process was carried out by making the punch waited on the material for 30 s （30 s wait bending） and by remo ving the punch without waiting （direct bending）. Specimens were prepared in three forms as non-heat-treated, nor- malized and tempered. At the same time, all experiments were performed at a deformation speed of 25 mm/min. As a result, it was determined that as punch tip radius increased, the amount of spring-forward decreased. Although normalizing process applied to specimens increased the amount of spring-forward, tempering process decreased it. The amount of spring-forward was decreased in 30 s wait bending process.

Neuroprotective effect of edaravone in experimental glaucoma model in rats: a immunofluorescence and biochemical analysis

AIM: To evaluate the neuroprotective activity of systemically administered edaravone in early and late stage of experimental glaucoma in ***: In this study, 60 Wistar albino rats were used. Experimental glaucoma model was created by injecting hyaluronic acid to the anterior chamber once a week for 6wk in 46 of 60 subjects. Fourteen subjects without any medication were included as control *** administered intraperitoneally 3 mg/kg/d to the 15 of 30 subjects starting at the onset of glaucoma induction and also administered intraperitoneally3 mg/kg/d to the other 15 subjects starting at three weeks after the onset of glaucoma induction. The other16 subjects who underwent glaucoma induction was administered any therapy. Retinal ganglion cells(RGCs)have been marked with dextran tetramethylrhodamine(DTMR) retrograde at the end of the sixth week and after48 h, subjects were sacrificed by the method of cardiac perfusion. Alive RGC density was assessed in the wholemount retina. Whole-mount retinal tissues homogenized and nitric oxide(NO), malondialdehyde(MDA) and total antioxidant capacity(TAC) values were measured ***: RGCs counted with Image-Pro Plus program, in the treatment group were found to be statistically significantly protected, compared to the glaucoma group(Bonferroni,P <0.05). The neuroprotective activity of edaravone was found to be more influential byadministration at the start of the glaucoma *** significant lower NO levels were determined in the glaucoma group comparing treatment groups(Bonferroni, P <0.05). MDA levels were found to be highest in untreated glaucoma group, TAC levels were found to be lower in the glaucoma induction groups than the control group(Bonferroni, P <0.05).CONCLUSION: Systemic administration of edaravone in experimental glaucoma showed potent neuroprotective activity. The role of oxidative stress causing RGC damage in glaucoma was supported by this study results.

Lie symmetry method is applied to analyze a nonlinear elastic wave equation for longitudinal deformations with third-order anharmonic corrections to the elastic energy. Symmetry algebra is found and reductions to second-order ordinary differential equations （ODEs） are obtained through invariance under different symmetries. The reduced ODEs are further analyzed to obtain several exact solutions in an explicit form. It was observed in the literature that anharmonic corrections generally lead to solutions with time-dependent singularities in finite times singularities, we also obtain solutions which Along with solutions with time-dependent do not exhibit time-dependent singularities.

Buildings are established to meet the needs and desires of users. The purpose of a building is defeated if its users are not satisfied by the overall buildingl performance. This study determines whether the users of the building of the architectural and software engineering departments at Salahaddin University-Erbil are satisfied with overall performance attributes. Assessment using users as a benchmark shows that the potentiat for improving the performance of a building is tremendous. This paper develops a post-occupancy evaluation （POE） framework that integrates building performance attributes for university buildings and facilities in the Iraqi Kurdistan region based on users＇ satisfaction. The objectives were to identify the concept of POE in relation to building performance, to determine the performance level of an existing building, and to determine correlation between building performance and users＇ satisfaction level. Results showed that 88% of building performance attributes is highly correlated with users＇ satisfaction. The compelling correlational results confirmed the relevance of POE as a building performance tool. The thrust of the findings indicates that the indicators and variables used in assessing the level of building performance are significant in determining levels of users＇ satisfaction in university buildings and facilities.

High chrome white cast iron is particularly preferred in the production of machine parts requiring high wear resistance. Although the amount of chrome in these materials provides high wear and corrosion resistances, it makes their machinability difficult. This study presents an application of the grey relational analysis based on the Taguchi method in order to optimize chrome ratio, cutting speed, feed rate, and cutting depth for the resultant cutting force (Fr) and surface roughness (Ra) when hard turning high chrome cast iron with a cubic boron nitride (CBN) insert. The effect levels of machining parameters on Fr and Ra were examined by an analysis of variance (ANOVA). A grey relational grade (GRG) was calculated to simultaneously minimize Fr and Ra. The ANOVA results based on GRG indicated that the feed rate, followed by the cutting depth, was the main parameter and contributed to respo ses. Optimal levels of parameters were found when the chrome ratio, cutting speed, feed rate, and cutting depth were 12%, 100m/min, 0.05mm/r, and 0.1mm, respectively, based on the multiresponse optimization results obtained by considering the maximum signal to noise (SIN) ratio of GRG. Confirmation results were verified by calculating the confidence level within the interval width.

Complex industrial systems, including mining, have a prominent challenge in understanding the interrelationship among the cognitive processes, working environment and available equipment. The concept of cognitive work analysis(CWA) transcends the traditional analytic methods of evaluating human tasks solely based on perceptual and physical traits, and rather implements the notions of behavioral and cognitive awareness indispensable for the intricacy of modern technology. In the last few decades, academic and industrial settings employ this type of analysis to set a suitable standard for a system's safety feasibility, and as a result reduce human-based errors. This research paper analyzes current CWA methods and proposes a five-level quantification model portraying the overall cognitive quality of a mining operation.
