The study investigates the expression pattern and regulatory mechanisms of estrogen receptor 1 (ESR1) in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC) through comprehensive bioinformatics analysis. Utilizing UALCAN and GEPIA2 databases, significant down-regulation of ESR1 expression is observed in LIHC samples compared to normal controls, indicating its potential role in tumor progression. Further analysis reveals consistent down-regulation across different clinical variables including patient age, gender, race, and various stages of LIHC, affirming the regulatory role of ESR1 in tumor development and progression. Additionally, promoter methylation analysis demonstrates hypermethylation of ESR1 in LIHC samples, negatively correlating with its expression. This association persists across different clinical parameters, emphasizing the inverse relationship between ESR1 methylation and expression levels. Survival analysis indicates that up- regulation of ESR1 is associated with better overall survival, suggesting its potential as a prognostic biomarker in LIHC. Furthermore, genetic mutation analysis using cBioPortal reveals a spectrum of alterations in ESR1, including amplification, missense mutation, deep deletion, splice mutation, and truncating mutation, highlighting the genetic complexity of ESR1 in LIHC. These findings collectively contribute to a deeper understanding of ESR1 dysregulation in LIHC and its clinical implications as a potential therapeutic target and prognostic marker.

反相乳液聚合法制备缔合型耐盐聚合物及其流变性能

以丙烯酰胺(AM)、2-丙烯酰胺-十二烷基磺酸钠(AMC_(12)S)、疏水单体29-(4-辛基苯氧基)-3,6,9,12,15,18,21,24,27-壬氧烷酮基甲基丙烯酸酯(GTE-10)为原料,通过反相乳液聚合法制备了一种缔合型耐盐聚合物p(AM/AMC_(12)S/GTE-10)。通过FTIR、~1HNMR、SEM、TEM及激光粒度分析仪对其结构和形貌进行了表征,并对其流变性能、触变性能和黏弹性进行了评价。结果表明,疏水单体GTE-10成功引入聚合物中,聚合完成后的乳液粒径分布集中且均一,盐(NaCl、CaCl_(2))的加入使p(AM/AMC_(12)S/GTE-10)分子聚集态更紧密,形成的空间网络结构更稳定。质量分数为0.7%的p(AM/AMC12S/GTE-10)聚合物水溶液在140℃时表现出较好的耐温性能;在120℃、170s^(–1)条件下剪切1 h,在质量浓度为20000 mg/L的NaCl和CaCl_(2)水溶液中分别配制质量分数0.7%的聚合物溶液,其表观黏度分别为64.8和54.1m Pa·s;聚合物具有较好的剪切恢复性能;盐水条件下储能模量大于损耗模量,金属离子与苯氧乙烯基发生络合反应,使分子间作用力增强,形成的空间结构更稳定且难被破坏,黏弹性更高。

0 INTRODUCTION Sedimentary exhalative(SEDEX)lead-zinc deposit was traditionally considered as a result of submarine hydrothermal exhalation,including exhalative plume and brine pool models(Izanloo et al.,2022;Spinks et al.,2021;Maghfouri et al.,2020;Sangster,2020,2018;Huang et al.,2019;Rajabi et al.,2015;Goodfellow and Lydon,2007;Large et al.,2005,2001;Peng et al.,2000;Goodfellow et al.,1993;Figures 1a,1b).However,recognition of mineralization as subseafloor hydrothermal replacement in a few SEDEX deposits has challenged the traditional consideration(Magnall et al.,2023,2021,2020a,b;Hayward et al.,2021;Figure 1c).Researchers come to believe that subseafloor replacement rather than submarine exhalation is a dominant process for SEDEX mineralization,but this needs to be examined through more case studies.

Real-time capabilities and computational efficiency are provided by parallel image processing utilizing OpenMP. However, race conditions can affect the accuracy and reliability of the outcomes. This paper highlights the importance of addressing race conditions in parallel image processing, specifically focusing on color inverse filtering using OpenMP. We considered three solutions to solve race conditions, each with distinct characteristics: #pragma omp atomic: Protects individual memory operations for fine-grained control. #pragma omp critical: Protects entire code blocks for exclusive access. #pragma omp parallel sections reduction: Employs a reduction clause for safe aggregation of values across threads. Our findings show that the produced images were unaffected by race condition. However, it becomes evident that solving the race conditions in the code makes it significantly faster, especially when it is executed on multiple cores.

This study explores the application of parallel algorithms to enhance large-scale sorting, focusing on the QuickSort method. Implemented in both sequential and parallel forms, the paper provides a detailed comparison of their performance. This study investigates the efficacy of both techniques through the lens of array generation and pivot selection to manage datasets of varying sizes. This study meticulously documents the performance metrics, recording 16,499.2 milliseconds for the serial implementation and 16,339 milliseconds for the parallel implementation when sorting an array by using C++ chrono library. These results suggest that while the performance gains of the parallel approach over its serial counterpart are not immediately pronounced for smaller datasets, the benefits are expected to be more substantial as the dataset size increases.

Hyperparameter tuning is a key step in developing high-performing machine learning models, but searching large hyperparameter spaces requires extensive computation using standard sequential methods. This work analyzes the performance gains from parallel versus sequential hyperparameter optimization. Using scikit-learn’s Randomized SearchCV, this project tuned a Random Forest classifier for fake news detection via randomized grid search. Setting n_jobs to -1 enabled full parallelization across CPU cores. Results show the parallel implementation achieved over 5× faster CPU times and 3× faster total run times compared to sequential tuning. However, test accuracy slightly dropped from 99.26% sequentially to 99.15% with parallelism, indicating a trade-off between evaluation efficiency and model performance. Still, the significant computational gains allow more extensive hyperparameter exploration within reasonable timeframes, outweighing the small accuracy decrease. Further analysis could better quantify this trade-off across different models, tuning techniques, tasks, and hardware.

Deep learning has been constantly improving in recent years,and a significant number of researchers have devoted themselves to the research of defect detection *** and recognition of small and complex targets is still a problem that needs to be *** authors of this research would like to present an improved defect detection model for detecting small and complex defect targets in steel *** steel strip production,mechanical forces and environmental factors cause surface defects of the steel ***,the detection of such defects is key to the production of high-quality ***,surface defects of the steel strip cause great economic losses to the high-tech *** far,few studies have explored methods of identifying the defects,and most of the currently available algorithms are not sufficiently ***,this study presents an improved real-time metallic surface defect detection model based on You Only Look Once(YOLOv5)specially designed for small *** the smaller features of the target,the conventional part is replaced with a depthwise convolution and channel shuffle *** assigning weights to Feature Pyramid Networks(FPN)output features and fusing them,increases feature propagation and the network’s characterization *** experimental results reveal that the improved proposed model outperforms other comparable models in terms of accuracy and detection *** precision of the proposed model achieved by mAP@0.5 is 77.5%on the Northeastern University,Dataset(NEU-DET)and 70.18%on the GC10-DET datasets.

3D object recognition is a challenging task for intelligent and robot systems in industrial and home indoor *** is critical for such systems to recognize and segment the 3D object instances that they encounter on a frequent *** computer vision,graphics,and machine learning fields have all given it a lot of ***,3D segmentation was done with hand-crafted features and designed approaches that didn’t achieve acceptable performance and couldn’t be generalized to large-scale *** learning approaches have lately become the preferred method for 3D segmentation challenges by their great success in 2D computer ***,the task of instance segmentation is currently less *** this paper,we propose a novel approach for efficient 3D instance segmentation using red green blue and depth(RGB-D)data based on deep *** 2D region based convolutional neural networks(Mask R-CNN)deep learning model with point based rending module is adapted to integrate with depth information to recognize and segment 3D instances of *** order to generate 3D point cloud coordinates(x,y,z),segmented 2D pixels(u,v)of recognized object regions in the RGB image are merged into(u,v)points of the depth ***,we conducted an experiment and analysis to compare our proposed method from various points of view and *** experimentation shows the proposed 3D object recognition and instance segmentation are sufficiently beneficial to support object handling in robotic and intelligent systems.

巴基斯坦在大地构造位置上处于印度、欧亚和阿拉伯三大板块的汇聚带,正同时发生着大陆碰撞和大洋俯冲作用,是研究地球系统深部圈层相互作用与成矿效应的绝佳天然实验室。但是,目前对于巴基斯坦构造演化与成矿作用的研究还不系统,对于巴基斯坦的大型–超大型矿床形成的背景和机制仍不清楚。笔者针对巴基斯坦不同类型的优势矿种开展了深入解剖和对比研究,系统梳理最新研究进展,围绕巴基斯坦新特提斯构造–岩浆演化与成矿作用响应的关键科学问题,分析铜矿、铬铁矿、铅锌矿以及碳酸岩有关的稀土矿床等重要金属成矿类型形成的构造环境以及与区域重大地质事件的耦合关系,总结巴基斯坦区域成矿规律,为资源潜力分析和境内外找矿勘查提供依据。

Speed advisory systems have been used for connected vehicles to optimize energy ***,for their practical utilization,presence of preceding vehicles and signals must be taken into ***,for Battery Electric Vehicles(BEVs),factors that deteriorate battery’s life cycle and discharging time must also be *** paper proposes an eco-driving control for connected BEV with traffic signals and other safety *** signals are considered as interior point constraints,while inter-vehicle distance with preceding vehicles,vehicle speed and battery charging/discharging limits,are considered as state safety ***-forward simulator based Speed Guidance Model is applied to follow the optimized velocity under powertrain safety *** of the proposed methodology is tested on a 5.3-km route in Islamabad,*** traffic data using Simulation of Urban Mobility under different driving scenarios is *** the proposed method,around 21% energy can be saved compared to the preceding vehicles that followed their random velocities under the same traffic and route *** means the EV controlled by the proposed method can have longer driving ***,the host BEV has crossed signals during their green time without collision with preceding *** charging rates and terminal Depth of Discharge indicate less number of charging cycles,thus proving the usefulness of the proposed solution as battery’s lifesaving strategy.
