Objective:To explore and understand the attitude towards dengue vaccination and its modifiable determinants among inhabitants of Aceh(northern Sumatra Island,Indonesia),the region that was most severely affected by the earthquake and tsunami of 26 December ***:A communitybased,cross-sectional study was conducted among 535 healthy inhabitants in nine regencies(Kabupaten or Kotamadya) of Aceh that were selected randomly from November 2014 to March 2015.A set of validated,pre-tested,structured questionnaires was used to guide the *** questionnaires covered a range of explanatory variables and one outcome variable(attitude to dengue vaccination).Multi-step logistic regression analysis and Spearman's rank correlation were used to test the role of explanatory variables for the outcome ***:More than 70%of the participants had a poor attitude towards dengue *** determinants associated with poor attitude to dengue vaccination were low education level,working as farmers and traditional market traders,low socioeconomic status and poor knowledge,attitude and practice regarding dengue fever(P<0.05).The KAP domain scores were correlated strongly with attitude to dengue vaccination,r_s=0.25,r_S=0.67 and r_s=0.20,respectively(P<0.001).Multivariate analysis found that independent predictors associated with attitude towards dengue vaccination among study participants were only sex and attitude towards dengue fever(P<0.001).Conclusions:This study reveals that low KAP regarding dengue fever,low education level and low socioeconomic status are associated with a poor attitude towards dengue ***,inhabitants of suburbs who are working as larmers or traditional market traders with low socioeconomic status are the most appropriate target group for a dengue vaccine introduction program.

Integrated Rice-Based Shrimp and Crabs Farming: Adaptation to Climate Change and Potential Mitigation of Global Warming in the Coastal Wetlands of Bangladesh

Coastal agriculture is vulnerable to climate change, thereby may affect food production systems and food security in Bangladesh. Methane (CH4) emission from coastal wetlands rice farming is a major environmental concern due to its global warming potential. Therefore, field experiments were conducted at the southern coastal region of Shyamnagar, Satkhira, to investigate the feasibility of Rice-Shrimp and Rice-Crabs mixed farming for adaptation to the changing climate and sustaining food production system. The experimental treatments were designed on rice-based diversified farming systems such as rice sole cropping with no NPKS + no soil amendments (T1), rice sole cropping following farmers’ practice (FP) without soil amendment (T2), rice sole cropping following FP with phosphogypsum (PG) amendment (T3), Rice-Shrimp mixed culture with PG amendment (T4), Rice-Crabs mixed culture with PG amendment (T5), Rice-Shrimp mixed culture + PG amendment with Spirulina (Cyanobacteria) inoculation (T6), and Rice-Crabs mixed culture + PG amendment with Spirulina inoculation (T7). A closed chamber technique was followed to collect gas samples from the rice paddy field and samples were analyzed by Gas Chromatograph. It was found that Rice-Shrimp (T6) and Rice-Crabs mixed farming (T7) practices significantly decreased GWPs compared to the rice sole cropping system. In the dry boro season, the maximum GWPs 4175 kg CO2 eq. ha-1 was recorded from rice sole cropping (T2), which was decreased by 30% and 36.7% under Rice-Shrimp (T6) and Rice-Crabs (T7) mixed farming practices, respectively. Furthermore, in the wet aman season, maximum GWP 4525 kg CO2 eq. ha-1 was recorded from rice sole cropping (T2), which was decreased by 33.0% and 38.8% under Rice-Shrimp and Rice-Crabs mixed farming, respectively. Quantitative Behaviour of Guar (Cymopsis tetragnolobus L.) to Various Tillage Systems and Mulches and Soil Physical Properties

A field study was conducted to evaluate the effect of organic mulches and tillage practices on growth, yield of cluster bean and soil physical properties. Experiment was comprised of two factors: A (Tillage), B (Mulches). Factor A was assigned to main plot and consisted of two treatments (Minimum tillage and Conventional tillage). Factor B was assigned to sub plot and consisted of four treatments (no mulch, wheat straw mulch, grass clipping mulch and saw dust mulch). The mulching materials were partially incorporated in the field after germination of crop. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with split plot arrangement having three replications. Control treatment was kept for comparison. All other agronomic practices were kept standardized and consistent for all the treatments. Data regarding growth and yield components were collected and analyzed statistically by fisher analysis of variance and treatment significance was measured by significant difference test at 5% probability level. The factors, tillage and mulches significantly affected growth, yield, yield parameters and soil physical properties. Maximum plant population (31.7 m2), plant height (159 cm), branches per plant (18.9), cluster per plant (15.88), grains per pod (7.3), 1000-grain weight (34.6 g), grain yield (1.9 t•ha-1), biological yield (9.91 t•ha-1) and harvest index (19.15) was recorded in conventional tillage comparative to minimum tillage. Mulches also affected grain yield, and maximum grain yield was recorded in wheat straw mulch (1.88 t•ha-1) followed by grass clipping mulch (1.81 t•ha-1) and saw dust mulch (1.76 t•ha-1) while minimum grain yield was recorded in control without mulch application (1.67 t•ha-1). 目的评估肋软骨移植矫正鞍鼻畸形的效果和安全性.方法 2013年1月至2016年12月间32例鞍鼻畸形(10例男性,22例女性)平均年龄在25岁(12~30岁)进行了7肋软骨移植矫正鞍鼻畸形;14例为创伤后鼻畸形,10例为鼻畸形,8例为唇裂继鞍鼻畸形.通过肋软骨移植后效果,供区瘢痕等并发症观察,对肋软骨移植隆鼻可行性进行评估.结果平均切取肋软骨时间为30 min,肋软骨长度为4 cm术后3例出现偏斜,1例感染,1例出现固定钢针外露,2例出现胸部瘢痕增生;其余病例对手术效果满意.结论第7肋软骨容易切取,操作简单,是矫治重度鞍鼻畸形的理想移植物.

目的探讨耳后皮肤扩张法施行耳再造的效果.方法通过耳后皮肤埋置扩张器,注水扩张,第二期切取肋软骨制作耳支架,用扩张的皮瓣包裹,持续负压吸引耳廓成型,三期手术时进行耳垂转位,加深外耳道,完成耳廓再造.结果用该方法完成小耳畸形耳廓再55例,随访6个月至2 a,除有5例出现扩张器外露、感染及耳软骨外露效果不佳外,除50例效果满意,再造的耳廓位置、大小、角度、外形与对侧耳廓基本对称.结论耳后皮肤扩张的方法可有效解决耳造皮肤不足的问题.

Disease-associated variants in the human genome are continually being identified using DNA sequencing technologies that are especially effective for Mendelian *** sequenced whole genome to high coverage(> 30 ×) of 6 members of a 7-generation family with dwarfism from a consanguineous tribe in Pakistan to locate the causal variant(s).We identified a missense variant rs111033552(c.2011 T>C[***671 Pro]) located in COLlOAl,encoding the alpha chain of type Ⅹ collagen,which is the most likely contributor to the dwarfism in this Pakistan *** further confirmed the variant in 22 family members using Sanger *** affected individuals are heterozygous for the missense mutation *** individual homozygous for this variant was *** suggests that the disorder is dominantly ***,the mutation was absent in 69,985 individuals representing>150 global *** advantage of whole-genome sequencing data,we also examined other variant forms such as copy number variation and insertion/deletion but failed to identify any other variants enriched in the affected ***,this variant had priority for linkage with *** 50 discovered variants in COLlOAl were annotated,12 variants(including rs111033552) of which are absent from global populations and highly conserved in evolution indicating the functional importance of COLlOAl despite its allelic heterogeneity.

Adsorptive removal and dynamic interaction of three different pharmaceutical pollutants,namely rifampicin(RIF),streptomycin(STM),and ibuprofen(IBU)onto chitosan were systematically investigated using a batch adsorption technique at different processing *** this study,chitosan was derived from mud-crab shells,as an innovative way to use the waste from marine foods as *** kinetics,intraparticle diffusion,mechanism,and thermodynamics of the adsorption were systematically evaluated and analyzed using kinetic models,Boyd mass transfer and WebereMorris intraparticle diffusion models,Langmuir,Freundlich,DubinineRadushkevich,and Temkin isotherm models,and the Gibbs *** adsorption isotherm of the larger molecules,RIF and STM,could be explained by the Langmuir isotherm model,in contrast,that of IBU,which is a much smaller molecule,followed the Freundlich isotherm *** maximum adsorption capacity of RIF,STM,and IBU on chitosan was estimated to be 66.91 mg g^(-1),11.00 mg g^(-1),and 24.21 mg g^(-1),respectively,which are higher compared to those on a variety of agricultural wastes,suggesting that this biopolymer is a potential practical and economical adsorbent to remove the pharmaceutical compounds from *** adsorption mechanism of the pharmaceutical compounds on chitosan is proposed based on the vibrational spectroscopic analyses,XRD patterns,and DSC thermograms of the biopolymer before and after adsorption process.

Randomized clinical trial comparing skin closure with tissue adhesives vs subcuticular suture after robotic urogynecologic procedures

The identification of cancer tissues in Gastroenterology imaging poses novel challenges to the computer vision community in designing generic decision support *** generic nature demands the image descriptors to be invariant to illumination gradients,scaling,homogeneous illumination,and *** this article,we devise a novel feature extraction methodology,which explores the effectiveness of Gabor filters coupled with Block Local Binary Patterns in designing such *** effectively exploit the illumination invariance properties of Block Local Binary Patterns and the inherent capability of convolutional neural networks to construct novel rotation,scale and illumination invariant *** invariance characteristics of the proposed Gabor Block Local Binary Patterns(GBLBP)are demonstrated using a publicly available texture *** use the proposed feature extraction methodology to extract texture features from Chromoendoscopy(CH)images for the classification of cancer *** proposed feature set is later used in conjuncture with convolutional neural networks to classify the CH *** proposed convolutional neural network is a shallow network comprising of fewer parameters in contrast to other state-of-the-art networks exhibiting millions of parameters required for effective *** obtained results reveal that the proposed GBLBP performs favorably to several other state-of-the-art methods including both hand crafted and convolutional neural networks-based features.
