The photocatalytic activities of g-C3N4can be significantly improved by increasing life time of the photogenerated charges. Here, in this work we introduced TiO2as proper energy platform to accept the photogenerated electrons from g-C3N4during photocatalysis. The nanophotocatalysts formed from the combination of a suitable amount of TiO2nanoparticles and g-C3N4nanosheets showed 8.75 and 4.22% enhancement in photocatalytic activities for CO2reduction and 2-chlorophenol(2-CP) degradation under visible light illumination as compared to bare g-C3N4. Based on the surface photovoltage spectra, photoluminescence spectra and examination of formed hydroxyl radicals, it was confirmed that these enhanced photoactivities were attributed to the much-improved charge separation via the electron transfer from g-C3N4to TiO2. From trapping experiments,it was found that hydroxyl radicals were the major species involved in the photocatalytic degradation of *** study is helpful to synthesize efficient photocatalysts to cope with energy and environmental issues.

Identification of metal cluster catalysis is a topic that is being investigated since a long time. Here, we report a Pd3 metal cluster catalytic reaction investigated by means of operando studies. We discovered that atomically defined tri-nuclear palladium (Pd3) is a surprisingly active catalyst for the cycloisomerization of 2-phenylethynylaniline. Operando1H NMR spectroscopy and X-ray extended absorption fine structure (EXAFS) measurements have indicated that the structural integrity of such a catalyst remains intact throughout the reaction, which has also been confirmed by an ex situ X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) study and catalyst recycling experiments. Kinetic data derived from operando IR spectroscopy measurements have shown that Pd3is the active catalytic species. Density functional theory calculations have revealed a reaction pathway consistent with the kinetic data, further supported by NMR titration and X-ray crystal structure studies. In this research work,we present the evolution of Coulomb failure stress(CFS)in the Sulaiman Lobe and its implications for seismic hazard *** Chaman transform fault,~1,000 km long,is the major active fault that marks the western boundary between Pakistan and Afghanistan on the Indian *** date,few studies have been conducted to unveil the interactions among earthquakes and the implications of these interactions for seismic hazard assessment in the *** thoroughly investigated the published and online catalog to construct a sequence of major earthquakes that occurred in this region during the *** final earthquake sequence was composed of 15 earthquakes of M_(w)≥6.0,beginning with the 1888 *** used the stress-triggering theory to numerically simulate the evolution of CFS caused by these *** numerical results revealed that 8 out of 15earthquakes were triggered by the preceding *** earthquakes in 1908,1910,1935,1966,and 1997 were rather independent earthquakes in this *** the epicenters of the 1975a and 1975b earthquakes were in the stress shadow zone,the partial rupture segments of both these earthquakes were in high-CFS *** CFS induced by the 1935 earthquake was notable,as it later triggered the 2008 ***,our results revealed that the northern segment of the Chaman Fault,the southern segment of the Ghazaband Fault,and the northwestern segment of the Urghargai Fault demonstrated a high change in CFS that could trigger seismicity in these *** necessary arrangements must therefore be made to mitigate any possible seismic hazards in the region.

Manganese was leached from a low-grade manganese ore(LGMO)using banana peel as the reductant in a dilute sulfuric acid *** effects of banana peel amount,H2SO4 concentration,reaction temperature,and time on Mn leaching from the complex LGMO were studied.A leaching efficiency of~98%was achieved at a leaching time of 2 h,banana peel amount of 4 g,leaching temperature of 120°C,manganese ore amount of 5 g,and sulfuric acid concentration of 15vol%.The phase,microstructural,and chemical analyses of LGMO samples before and after the leaching process confirmed the successful leaching of ***,the leaching process followed the shrinking core model and the leaching rate was controlled by a surface chemical reaction(1−(1−x)^1/3=kt)mechanism with an apparent activation energy of 40.19 kJ·mol^−1.

Microscopic to mesoscopic structural investigations and foliation intersection axes（FIAs） preserved in porphyroblasts reveal a very complex history of deformation and tectonism within the southwestern part of the western hinterland zone along the northern margin of the Indian plate, NW Pakistan. D_1, D_2, and D_3 related structures in the southwestern part resemble the F_1/F_2, F_3, and F_4 related structures in the northeastern part of the western hinterland zone. These structures developed at the same time through the same changes in the direction of bulk shortening in southwestern and northeastern parts of the western hinterland zone. FIA set 1 indicates NW-SE shortening. The D_2 fabrics, mineral lineations and fold axes indicate E-W shortening. FIA set 2, D_3 fold axes and mineral lineations indicate NNE-SSW shortening. D_3 deformation event is equivalent to the F_4 deformation event in the northeastern part of the western hinterland zone. D_4 fold axes, mineral stretching lineations and axial plane foliation suggest ENE-WSW shortening. The D_4 NNW-SSE fabrics, which formed in the region after the formation of the MMT（main mantle thrust）, Khairabad-Panjal thrust fault, Hissartang thrust fault and MBT（main boundary thrust）, likely resulted from ENE-WSW bulk shortening related to development of the Hazara-Kashmir syntaxis.

In recent years,the significant growth in the Internet of Things(IoT)technology has brought a lot of attention to information and communication *** IoT paradigms like the Internet of Vehicle Things(IoVT)and the Internet of Health Things(IoHT)create massive volumes of data every day which consume a lot of bandwidth and ***,to process such large volumes of data,the existing cloud computing platforms offer limited resources due to their distance from IoT ***,cloudcomputing systems produce intolerable latency problems for latency-sensitive real-time ***,a newparadigm called fog computingmakes use of computing nodes in the form of mobile devices,which utilize and process the real-time IoT devices data in orders of *** paper proposes workload-aware efficient resource allocation and load balancing in the fog-computing environment for the *** proposed algorithmic framework consists of the following components:task sequencing,dynamic resource allocation,and load *** consider electrocardiography(ECG)sensors for patient’s critical tasks to achieve maximum load balancing among fog nodes and to measure the performance of end-to-end delay,energy,network consumption and average *** proposed algorithm has been evaluated using the iFogSim tool,and results with the existing approach have been *** experimental results exhibit that the proposed technique achieves a 45%decrease in delay,37%reduction in energy consumption,and 25%decrease in network bandwidth consumption compared to the existing studies.

Process monitoring techniques are of paramount importance in the chemical industry to improve both the product quality and plant *** or incipient irregularities may lead to severe degradation in complex chemical processes,and the conventional process monitoring techniques cannot detect these *** this study to improve the performance of monitoring,an online multiscale fault detection approach is proposed by integrating multiscale principal component analysis(MSPCA) with cumulative sum(CUSUM) and exponentially weighted moving average(EWMA) control *** new Hotelling's T~2 and square prediction error(SPE) based fault detection indices are proposed to detect the incipient irregularities in the process *** performance of the proposed fault detection methods was tested for simulated data obtained from the CSTR system and compared to that of conventional PCA and MSPCA based *** results demonstrate that the proposed EWMA based MSPCA fault detection method was successful in detecting the ***,a comparative study shows that the SPEEWMA monitoring index exhibits a better performance with lower values of missed detections ranging from 0% to 0.80% and false alarms ranging from 0% to 21.20%.

Classification of human actions under video surveillance is gaining a lot of attention from computer vision *** this paper,we have presented methodology to recognize human behavior in thin crowd which may be very helpful in *** have mostly focused the problem of human detection in thin crowd,overall behavior of the crowd and actions of individuals in video *** based Human behavior modeling is a complex task as it involves human detection,tracking,classifying normal and abnormal *** proposed methodology takes input video and applies Gaussian based segmentation technique followed by post processing through presenting hole filling algorithm i.e.,fill hole inside objects *** detection is performed by presenting human detection algorithm and then geometrical features from human skeleton are extracted using feature extraction *** classification task is achieved using binary and multi class support vector *** proposed technique is validated through accuracy,precision,recall and F-measure metrics.
