SEIR Mathematical Model for Influenza-Corona Co-Infection with Treatment and Hospitalization Compartments and Optimal Control Strategies

The co-infection of corona and influenza viruses has emerged as a significant threat to global public health due to their shared modes of transmission and overlapping clinical *** article presents a novel mathematical model that addresses the dynamics of this co-infection by extending the SEIR(Susceptible-Exposed-Infectious-Recovered)framework to incorporate treatment and hospitalization *** population is divided into eight compartments,with infectious individuals further categorized into influenza infectious,corona infectious,and co-infection *** proposed mathematical model is constrained to adhere to fundamental epidemiological properties,such as non-negativity and boundedness within a feasible ***,the model is demonstrated to be well-posed with a unique *** points,including the disease-free and endemic equilibria,are identified,and various properties related to these equilibrium points,such as the basic reproduction number,are *** and global sensitivity analyses are performed to identify the parameters that highly influence disease dynamics and the reproduction *** the most influential parameters is crucial for understanding their impact on the co-infection’s spread and ***,an optimal control problem is defined to minimize disease transmission and to control strategy *** purpose of our study is to identify the most effective(optimal)control strategies for mitigating the spread of the co-infection with minimum cost of the *** results illustrate the effectiveness of the implemented control strategies in managing the co-infection’s impact on the population’s *** mathematical modeling and control strategy framework provides valuable tools for understanding and combating the dual threat of corona and influenza co-infection,helping public health authorities and policymakers make informed decisions in the face of these intertwined epidemics.

The blast wave model with Tsallis statistics is used to analyze the transverse momentum spectra of protons(p),deuterons(d),and tritons(t)in√S_(NN)=200 GeV gold-gold(Au-Au)collisions at the RHIC in various centrality *** particular transverse momentum ranges,the model results closely match experimental data from the PHENIX(p)and STAR(d and t)*** data are compared with those of protons obtained in Cu+Cu collisions and deuterons and tritons in Ru+Ru collisions at a center of mass energy of 200 GeV from the STAR *** spectra are used to derive the kinetic freeze-out temperatures,transverse flow velocities,and freeze-out *** to the findings,the kinetic freeze-out temperature increases from the central to peripheral *** this transition,the transverse flow velocity and freeze-out volume both *** the collisions of both collaborations,this study reveals mass-dependent kinetic freeze-out temperature and differential volume ***,the non-extensivity parameter q decreases with increasing centrality of the studied heavy-ion collisions,and heavier mass particles have smaller values of q,which implies higher degrees of thermalization and equilibrium in more central collisions and for heavier particles.

In a connected graph G, the distance d（u, v） denotes the distance between two vertices u and v of G. Let W = {w1, w2,……, wk} be an ordered set of vertices of G and let v be a vertex of G. The representation r（v1W） of v with respect to W is the k-tuple （d（v, w1）, d（v, w2）,…, d（v, wk））. The set W is called a resolving set or a locating set if every vertex of G is uniquely identified by its distances from the vertices of W, or equivalently, if distinct vertices of G have distinct representations with respect to W. A resolving set of minimum cardinality is called a metric basis for G and this cardinality is the metric dimension of G, denoted by β（G）. Metric dimension is a generalization of affine dimension to arbitrary metric spaces （provided a resolving set exists）. In this paper, we study the metric dimension of barycentric subdivision of Cayley graphs Cay （Zn Z2）. We prove that these subdivisions of Cayley graphs have constant metric dimension and only three vertices chosen appropriately suffice to resolve all the vertices of barycentric subdivision of Cayley graphs Cay （Zn Z2）.

Detection of epileptic seizures on the basis of Electroencephalogram(EEG)recordings is a challenging task due to the complex,non-stationary and non-linear nature of these biomedical *** the existing literature,a number of automatic epileptic seizure detection methods have been proposed that extract useful features from EEG segments and classify them using machine learning *** characterizing features of epileptic and non-epileptic EEG signals overlap;therefore,it requires that analysis of signals must be performed from diverse *** studies analyzed these signals in diverse domains to identify distinguishing characteristics of epileptic EEG *** pose the challenge mentioned above,in this paper,a fuzzy-based epileptic seizure detection model is proposed that incorporates a novel feature extraction and selection method along with fuzzy *** proposed work extracts pattern features along with time-domain,frequencydomain,and non-linear analysis of *** applies a feature selection strategy on extracted features to get more discriminating features that build fuzzy machine learning classifiers for the detection of epileptic *** empirical evaluation of the proposed model was conducted on the benchmark Bonn EEG *** shows significant accuracy of 98%to 100%for normal *** classification cases while for three class classification of normal ***-ictal *** accuracy reaches to above 97.5%.The obtained results for ten classification cases(including normal,seizure or ictal,and seizure-free or inter-ictal classes)prove the superior performance of proposed work as compared to other state-of-the-art counterparts.

The well-established mortality rates due to lung cancers,scarcity of radiology experts and inter-observer variability underpin the dire need for robust and accurate computer aided diagnostics to provide a second *** this end,we propose a feature grafting approach to classify lung cancer images from publicly available National Institute of Health(NIH)chest X-Ray dataset comprised of 30,805 unique *** performance of transfer learning with pre-trained VGG and Inception models is evaluated in comparison against manually extracted radiomics features added to convolutional neural network using custom *** classification with both approaches,Support VectorsMachines(SVM)are *** results from the 5-fold cross validation report Area Under Curve(AUC)of 0.92 and accuracy of 96.87%in detecting lung nodules with the proposed *** is a plausible improvement against the observed accuracy of transfer learning using Inception(79.87%).The specificity of allmethods is>99%,however,the sensitivity of the proposed method(97.24%)surpasses that of transfer learning approaches(<67%).Furthermore,it is observed that the true positive rate with SVM is highest at the same false-positive rate in experiments amongst Random Forests,Decision Trees,and K-Nearest Neighbor ***,the proposed approach can be used in clinical and research environments to provide second opinions very close to the experts’intuition.

A set W of the vertices of a connected graph G is called a resolving set for G if for every two distinct vertices u, v E V（G） there is a vertex w E W such that d（u, w） ≠ d（v, w）. A resolving set of minimum cardinality is called a metric basis for G and the number of vertices in a metric basis is called the metric dimension of G, denoted by dim（G）. For a vertex u of G and a subset S of V（G）, the distance between u and S is the number minses d（u,s）. A k-partition II = {$1,$2,..., Sk} of V（G） is called a resolving partition if for every two distinct vertices u, v E V（G） there is a set Si in H such that d（u, Si） ≠ d（v, Si）. The minimum k for which there is a resolving k-partition of V（G） is called the partition dimension of G, denoted by pd（G）. The circulant graph is a graph with vertex set Zn, an additive group of integers modulo n, and two vertices labeled i and j adjacent if and only if i - j （rood n） E C, where C C Zn has the property that C = -C and 0 ￠ C. The circulant graph is denoted by Xn,△ where A = ｜C｜. In this paper, we study the metric dimension of a family of circulant graphs Xn,3 with connection set C = {1, 3, n - 1} and prove that dim（Xn,3） is independent of choice of n by showing that dim（Xn,a） = {3 for all n ≡0 （mod 4）,4 for all n≡2 （mod4）.We also study the partition dimension of a family of circulant graphs Xm,4 with connection set C = {±1, ±2} and prove that pd（Xn,4） is independent of choice of n and show that pd（X5,4） = 5 and pd（Xn,a） ={ 3 for all odd n≥9,4 for all even n≥6 and n=7.

In this work, three-dimensional molecular dynamics simulation is carried out to elucidate the nanoindentation behaviour of single crystal Ni. The substrate indenter system is modelled using hybrid interatomic potentials including the manybody potential （embedded atom method） and two-body Morse potential. The spherical indenter is chosen, and the simulation is performed for different loading rates from 10 m/s to 200 m/s. Results show that the maximum indentation load and hardness of the system increase with the increase of velocity. The effect of indenter size on the nanoindentation response is also analysed. It is found that the maximum indentation load is higher for the large indenter whereas the hardness is higher for the smaller indenter. Dynamic nanoindentation is carried out to investigate the behaviour of Ni substrate to multiple loading-unloading cycles. It is observed from the results that the increase in the number of loading unloading cycles reduces the maximum load and hardness of the Ni substrate. This is attributed to the decrease in recovery force due to defects and dislocations produced after each indentation cycle.

The potentials of silty clay(SC),acquired from Chaman,Balochistan,were investigated as adsorbent for Ni(Ⅱ)and Cd(Ⅱ)removal from contaminated *** influence of different operating factors like dose,pH,temperature,and time of contact was explored,and optimum values were noted under batch adsorption *** study was conducted with varying concentrations of solutions on optimized conditions and different adsorption models i.e.,Langmuir,Freundlich,Temkin and Dubinin-Radushkevich(D-R)isotherm,which were employed to interpret the *** isothermal data of both Ni(Ⅱ)and Cd(Ⅱ)were well fitted to Langmuir isotherm suggesting the formation of monolayer of metal ions on silty *** values of adsorption capacity noted for Ni(Ⅱ)and Cd(Ⅱ)were 3.603 mg·g^-1 and 5.480 mg·g^-1,*** studies affirmed that pseudo second order(PSO)kinetics was being obeyed by the removal of Ni(Ⅱ)and Cd(Ⅱ).Thermodynamic variables like free energy change(ΔG°),enthalpy change(ΔH°)and entropy change(ΔS°)were *** negative value ofΔG°and the positive values ofΔH°andΔS°unfolded that the removal process of both metal ions of by SC was spontaneous,endothermic and feasible.
