Bangladesh possesses a large wetland area comprising diversified fisheries *** and fisheries are an integral part of Bangladesh and have earned its importance due to immense export and revenue *** objective of this study was to investigate the trend of fish production,export and import of Bangladesh during the last two *** reviews of the literature were done,numerical data was obtained from the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock(MoFL),Department of Fisheries(DOF),Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics(BBS).The results showed that fish production has increased in Bangladesh during the last two decades,starting from 17.81 lakh metric tons in 2000–01 and reaching up to 41.34 lakh metric tons in 2016–*** to the gradual decline in capture fishery,a significant percentage of total production comes from ***(Tenualosa ilisha)is the largest single-species fishery in Bangladesh which makes the highest contribution to the country's total fish *** of the fish commodity in terms of quantity and value has declined in recent years due to food quality and safety *** study has highlighted the contribution of fisheries production in Bangladesh and trade to the country's *** paying more attention to the fisheries sector,Bangladesh can boost up its economy.

In order to safeguard the biological framework on which human creatures depend for presence and make society feasible improvement, it is becoming increasingly important to classify garbage. In any case, individuals are not recognizable with the classification strategy, so it is troublesome for individuals to accurately get the classification of each kind of rubbish. A proper waste management system is a primary task in building a smart and healthy city. In arrange to direct individuals to classify garbage accurately, this paper proposes a strategy of rubbish classification and acknowledgment based on YOLOv7 which is a cutting edge real time object detector. Performance of this model is compared along with two other object detectors where Mask-RCNN achieved f-measurement of 85%, YOLOv5 achieved f-measurement of 95.1% and YOLOv7 achieved f-measurement 95.9%. We have used non-decomposable multiclass garbage images which entails messy backgrounds with unwanted images as well. Four classes of non-decomposable garbage data namely chips packet, plastic bottle, polythene and image with multiclass garbage with 1000 images are prepared for our dataset. Our experimental models performed well in classifying garbage images with cluttered backgrounds. We compared our test results to previous studies in which the majority of the models were tested and trained using laboratory images. The test comes about illustrates that the classification framework features a sensible degree of accuracy and the segmentation recognition impact is way better within the case of point-by-point picture, which can proficiently and helpfully total the rubbish classification errand.

Investigation of Different Washing Effects on Physical and Mechanical Properties of Cotton Knitted Garments

This paper deals with three types of washing (enzyme, softener, Silicone) effects on 100% cotton Single Jersey T-shirt, Slub Single Jersey T-shirt, Double Lacoste (5% Lycra) Polo shirt, Single jersey CVC (T-shirt) and PC single Jersey (T-shirt). Typical industrial washing procedures and techniques were followed and then physico-mechanical properties were analyzed under standard condition. It is observed that after washing, weight of each garments has increased from 5% to 36%;stitch length of the constituted fabric has decreased from 1% to 10% approximately;CPI has increased 23% for CVC fabric only for enzyme treatment and for other process it has a little bit or no wash effects. Same effects found for WPI except 100% cotton and Double Lacoste. Shrinkage property both for lengthwise and widthwise remains the same except CVC and Double Lacoste knitted garments and spirality has almost unchanged except 100% cotton and slub fabric. Both the dry and wet rubbing properties have improved after any types of wash except 100% cotton on Silicone wash. Water absorbency property has increased;pH of all the samples is under controlled and lies between 4.5 and 5.0. But there is no significant change of colorfastness to wash and stain after these washing treatments.

Objective:To investigate the species prevalence of Enterococcus with their antimicrobial resistance pattern from patients of Dhaka Medical College ***:Samples were cultured and Enterococcus species were identified by conventional biochemical tests as well as PCR by using species specific primers for Enterococcus faecalis(***)and Enterococcus faecium(***).For isolation of vancomycin resistant enterococci,minimum inhibitory concentration of vancomycin and PCR was done to detect vanA and vanB ***:A total of 16 enterococci were isolated from 300 urine and 200 wound swab samples(15 from urine and 1 from wound swab)from July 2011 to June *** were the third most common organism(8.47%)from urine after Escherichia coli(63.28%)and Enterobacter(11.87%).Out of 16 enterococci,10(62.5%)were ***,4(25%)were *** and 2(12.5%)were other *** the enterococci(100%)were sensitive to vancomycin and *** of the strains were resistant to ciprofloxacin and azithromycin(87.5%),gentamycin(81.25%),ceftriaxone(75%),amoxiclav(31.25%)and imipenem(25%).*** was more resistant than *** to azithromycin(100%),ciprofloxacin(100%),amoxiclav(75%)and imipenem(50%).No vancomycin resistant enterococci were identified and the range of minimum inhibitory concentration for vancomycin was 1-4μg/*** of the enterococci were positive for vanA and vanB ***:The presence of multidrug resistant enterococci should be considered as danger alarm for serious enterococcal infections and further study in large scale is needed.

Surgical Outcomes of Spinal Tumour: Experiences of 48 Cases at Referral Neurosurgery Hospital in Bangladesh

Background: Spinal tumour has a great morbidity. Objective: The purpose of the present study was to see the outcome of the spinal tumour surgery. Methodology: Patients with spinal tumor have undergone surgery in neurospine unit of National Institute of Neurosciences and Hospital, Dhaka, Bangladesh from May 2013 to March 2015 for a period of 23(twenty three) months. Plain X-ray and MRI were done in all cases. All patients have undergone surgery through posterior midline approach. They were evaluated preoperatively and at discharge usually on 10th postoperative day after stitch removal and advised to attend in follow up clinic after 2 months of surgery. Result: 50 - 59 years age group was observed as most vulnerable for tumor occurrence (23 cases, 47.9%). The male female ratio was 1:1.3. The highest number (28 cases, 58.4%) of tumor was observed in thoracic region but the highest variety was schwannoma (33 cases, 68.7%). Initial presentation of patients was pain (32 cases, 66.7%), motor disturbances (9 cases 18.7%), sensory disturbances (5 cases 10.4%) and sphincter disturbances (2 cases 4.2%). Symptomatic improvement was in 44 (91.7%) patients whereas improvement in Frankel Scale was observed in 10 (20.8%) patients during follow up. 4 (8.4%) patients deteriorated and there was no death in this series. Conclusion: In conclusion, majority of the spinal tumour patients are presented with schwannoma with good symptomatic improvement.

Background: The incidence of cervical cancer is high in Bangladesh and there is a high prevalence of preinvasive lower genital tract disease among women of reproductive age. Persistent high-risk Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) infection is the main underlying cause of cervical cancer and its precursor, cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN). Objective: The aim of the study was to identify the subtypes of high-risk HPV infection among women with the colposcopic diagnosis of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia in Bangladesh. Methods: This cross-sectional observational study was conducted in the colposcopy clinic of Dhaka Medical College Hospital over a six-month period. A total of 100 participants were enrolled. Married women, between 30 - 60 years of age with colposcopically diagnosed cervical intra epithelial neoplasia were enrolled. Women with chronic illness, pregnancy, and women unable to consent were excluded from this study. After counselling, colposcopically directed punch biopsies were taken from each CIN case concurrently with high-risk HPV testing by polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Results: The mean age of the patients was 38.69 (SD ±7.76) years. CIN 1 was diagnosed in 57% of participants, while 24% had CIN II and 19% had CIN III lesions. High-risk HPV was present in 52 patients. HPV 16 was the most common identified in 28 (53.84%) and HPV 18 was the second most common with 20 (38.46%) either singly or in combination with other high-risk subtypes. The other HPV strains, HPV 31, 33, 35, 52, 56 and 58, were also detected either as mono or co-infections. Out of the 52 HPV positive cases, 29 (55.8%) had mono infection and 23 (44.2%) had co-infection with several subtypes. The highest incidence (50%) of oncogenic HPV infections was present among women aged 35 - 45 years. Risk factors associated with HPV positive cases were high parity (P 0.05), early age at marriage (P = 0.754) and early age of first child. Conclusion: This study identified a high prevalence of HP
