The global significance of forest ecosystems requires precise determination of the amount of carbon stored in different forest ecosystems. Regular monitoring of forests can aid in designing efficient climate change control strategies at national and global scale specially in reducing emissions from deforestation and degradation strategies. This research is designed to focus on determining deforestation of study area from 2001 to 2011 using Remote Sensing (RS) and Geographic Information System (GIS) techniques. This research provided rate and amount of degradation of forests in the study area and was quite helpful in formulating a strategy to earn carbon credits consistently and, therefore, will help in the uplifting of the standards of local population.

Room Temperature Magnetic Behavior of Sol-Gel Synthesized Mn Doped ZnO

Mn doped ZnO nano-crystallites were synthesized by state of the art sol-gel derived auto- combustion technique. As-burnt powder was investigated with different characterization techniques to explore the properties of Mn doped ZnO dilute magnetic semiconductor. X- ray diffraction measurements indicate that Mn doped ZnO retain wurtzite type hexagonal crystal structure like ZnO. Compositional and morphological studies were carried out by energy dispersive X-ray analysis and scanning electron microscopy, respectively. Temperature dependent resistivity of the sample exhibited the semiconducting behavior of the DMS material. Room temperature magnetic properties determined by vibrating sample magnetometer, revealed the presence of ferromagnetic and diamagnetic contributions in Mn doped ZnO.

Radio frequency identification (RFID) is a contactless form of automatic identification and data capture (AIDC) technology. This paper explores the use of RFID in the new field of manufacturing automation and quality control. This paper consists of five parts. The first part gives a brief background and introduction of technology. The proposed use of RFID technology in the field of manufacturing automation and quality control is discussed in second part. The third part covers its use in the field of warehouse management system. Part four is a local review and analysis of RFID technology in manufacturing and warehousing which would support the potential use of this technology locally at China. The last part of paper gives concluding remarks about the RFID technology with recommendations of RFID use in these areas.

The design of one qubit quantum gates with Lyapunov-based method is studied in this paper. Firstly, one qubit quantum control system is described in the coherence vector formation, then two types of Lyapunov functions are selected to implement NOT gate. The performances of control laws derived from both Lyapunov functions are compared and analyzed by means of the simulations for the NOT gate implementation.

Induced modifications in the properties of Sr doped BiFeO3 multiferroics

Multiferroics exhibit unique combination of ferroic properties,*** instance,in BiFeO3,magnetic and electric properties *** this work,BiFeO3 and Sr-doped BiFeO3 samples with general formula,Bi1-x Srx FeO3(x=0.00,0.05,0.10,0.20,and 0.30) were synthesized by sol-gel auto-combustion technique,in order to investigate these ferroic *** samples were confrmed to have perovskite type rhombohedral structure,characteristic of BiFeO3.A dilute phase of Bi2Fe4O9was also found in all the Sr-doped *** micrographs of the palletized samples revealed that minutely doped Sr might not have any effect on the morphology of the *** dependent dielectric measurements were carried out at room temperature for all the samples from 100 Hz to 1 *** dielectric constant of un-doped sample at low frequency was 52 which decreased with increasing Sr *** enhancement of magnetic properties was observed with increasing the Sr *** BiFeO3 material was observed to have the least value of remanent *** the Sr2+ tions were doped in BiFeO3,its magnetization and remanence were increased to 0.867 emu/g and 0.175 emu/g,respectively,at x=0.30.

在连铸过程中,保护渣起着提高产品表面质量、提供适宜的润滑和绝热保温等作用,因此,保护渣的正确选择对单个钢种是至关重要的。为了获得良好的表面质量,选择合适的保护渣目前仍然是一个难题。广泛采用的办法是使用供应商推荐的在其他工厂试验成功的保护渣以及在工业试验中获得成功的保护渣。这些新型保护渣的工业试验不仅导致极大的操作费用,而且带来了连铸机损坏的隐患(漏钢、结晶器磨损和停机)。此外,对于已选择的保护渣,即使在正常的成分范围内,其表现的性能也是不同的。新钢种需求的增长和当前经济的不平衡,导致塔塔钢铁公司欧洲工厂通过保护渣试验,寻找其替代品。为了研究与钢水成分、不同的浇注参数和产品表面质量相关的保护渣的行为,蒂塞德技术中心(TTC)启动了一项保护渣评估试验工作。在塔塔钢铁公司欧洲工厂进行了几次在线和离线的监测,收集了多个钢水试样、原始保护渣、渣膜和渣圈试样,并分析了不同浇次的有关保护渣、熔融层厚度、振痕和表面质量的数据。保护渣特性分析技术,如粘度测量、STA热分析、金相学、化学分析已经被应用于这个评估试验。试验观察到顶渣中氧化铝含量增加的同时,伴随有不同化合物的吸收和减少现象。试验证明:氧化铝、氧化钙、氧化硅和氧化锆化合物的增加和减少会影响保护渣的性能。
