This work consists of eva.ua.ing the qua.ity of the mecha.ica. pa.a.eters of la.ge-dia.eter steels, i.e. 20, 25, 28 a.d 32, through a.process of recycling scra. meta. tha. fills ga.a.es, rubbish dumps, gutters a.d other a.a.doned sites, a. well a. imported concrete reinforcing steel sold in the Republic of Guinea. To ca.ry out this importa.t work, a.number of mecha.ica. tensile a.d bending tests a.d a.microscopic a.a.ysis combining two devices, a. electron microscope a.d a.photogra.hic ca.era. were ca.ried out. The sa.ples were ta.en from sa.pling a.ea. in the ma.or communes of Cona.ry, na.ely: Ca.se Sonfonia. Ma.oto a.d Ka.bélen. The tensile strength va.ues of the la.ge dimensions 20, 25, 28 a.d 32 a.e given in the ta.les.

Introduction: Tota. hip a.thropla.ty of complex morphology is a.cha.lenge for the orthopa.dic surgeon. Ca.eful a.a.ysis of the hip’s a.a.omy helps to unra.el the difficulties a.d a.ticipa.e the procedures to be performed a.d the impla.ts to be pla.ned. The a.m wa. to identify the types of hip tha. ma.e first-line THR difficult, specify the technica. procedures to be used on these sites, a.d a.sess the functiona. results of the series. Ma.eria. a.d Methods: This wa. a.retrospective study tha. concerned pa.ients opera.ed on for tota. hip a.thropla.ty between Ja.ua.y 2015 a.d December 2022 a. the medica. center “La.Grâce” in Bobo-Dioula.so, Burkina.Fa.o. Pa.ients with coxa.throsis (on hip dyspla.ia. a.eta.ula. protrusio, a.eta.ula. ma.union or neurologica. hip) a.d those with a.kylosis of the hip, osteonecrosis seconda.y to neglected disloca.ion of the hip or hemoglobinopa.hy were included. Results: a.tota. of 31 tota. hip repla.ements were performed in 30 pa.ients. The mea. a.e of pa.ients a. the surgery time wa. 36.2 yea.s with extremes of 17 a.d 61 yea.s. The ma.e-to-fema.e sex ra.io wa. 1. The ma.n indica.ions for THa.were the dyspla.ic hip osteoa.thritis (11 ca.es) a.d the neglected hip disloca.ions (7 ca.es). In situ femora. neck osteotomy before hip disloca.ion wa. performed in seven ca.es. The a.eta.ulum reconstruction techniques va.ied from the structura. ilia. bone gra.t (n = 3) a.d ca.cellous bone gra.t (n = 4) to the Kerboull pla.e (n = 1). a.ter 45 months of mea. follow-up, a.l hips were eva.ua.ed. The mea. PMa.score increa.ed from 7.1 [4 - 8] before the surgery to 13.2 [13 - 17]. Conclusion: The la.ge spectrum of cha.lenges in complex hip ma.a.ement requires effective preopera.ive pla.ning. Preopera.ive pla.ning minimizes complica.ions a.d ensures a.better outcome.

Introduction: Ma.nutrition is a.pa.hologica. sta.e resulting from the rela.ive deficiency or excess of one or more essentia. nutrients, whether ma.ifested clinica.ly or detected only by biochemica., a.thropometric or physiologica. a.a.yses. The overa.l objective wa. to a.sess the qua.ity of ma.a.ement of a.ute ma.nutrition in children a.ed 0 - 24 months a. the Boulbinet hea.th center. Methodology: This wa. a.prospective descriptive study la.ting six (06) months from Ma. 5 to October 5, 2018. The study included a.l children a.ed 0 to 24 months. Results: a.ute ma.nutrition in children a.ed 0 - 24 months a.counted for 2.11% of ca.es. The sex ra.io wa. 1.41 in fa.or of ma.es. The mea. a.e of our pa.ients wa. 5 months 7 da.s, with extremes of 1 month a.d 6 months. The ma.ority ca.e from Ra.toma.(40.24%). Exclusive brea.tfeeding wa. most common (54.02%). The ma.n clinica. signs were: pa.lor 49.42%, dia.rhea.46.67, ora. lesions37.96%. Sa. represented 89.66% a.d Ma. 10.34%. Most a.socia.ed pa.hologies: a.emia.49.42% a.d ora. ca.didia.is 37.93%. In terms of outcome, we recorded 56.32% cures, 20.69% dea.hs, 18.39% dropouts a.d 4.60% cures. Conclusion: Improving the qua.ity of ca.e for ma.nourished children a.ed 0 - 24 months requires ra.sing a.a.eness a.ong mothers a.d the genera. public of the consequences of ma.nutrition.

Ba.kground: Urethrocystoscopy is a.method of endoscopic explora.ion tha. a.lows direct visua.iza.ion of the urethra.a.d bla.der for dia.nosis or trea.ment of disea.es of the lower urina.y tra.t. Purpose: To determine the epidemiologica. profile of pa.ients who underwent urethrocystoscopy a.d to present the indica.ions a.d the results of this endoscopic exa.ina.ion. Pa.ients a.d Methods: This is a.retrospective, descriptive study of a.l pa.ients who underwent outpa.ient urethrocystoscopy in the Urology a.d a.drology depa.tment of Gra.d Mbour hospita.. The epidemiologica. da.a.of the pa.ients, the indica.ions, the results of the endoscopic explora.ion a.d the a.ditiona. procedures performed were entered a.d a.a.yzed with Excel 2016. We performed descriptive sta.istics. Results: Of the 216 pa.ients who underwent outpa.ient urethrocystoscopy, we counted 179 men (82.87%) a.d 37 women (17.13%). The sex ra.io wa. 4.84. The mea. a.e of the pa.ients wa. 53.71 ± 18.76 yea.s (a.e ra.ge 17 to 91 yea.s). The ma.n indica.ions were lower urina.y tra.t disorders (60.18%) a.d hema.uria.(28.70%). Endoscopic explora.ion revea.ed prosta.ic tumor in 69 pa.ients (31.9%), 29 ca.es of bla.der tumors (13.4%) a.d 19 ca.es of bilha.zia.cystitis (8.8%). The urethrocystoscopy wa. norma. in 32 pa.ients (14.8%). Conclusion: Urethrostoscopy is a. endoscopic explora.ion exa.ina.ion tha. ca. be performed on a. outpa.ient ba.is. Lower tra.t urina.y disorders a.d hema.uria.were the ma.n indica.ions.

The study a.dressed a.crucia. public hea.th concern of dyslipidemia.a.d its ma.a.ement, with a.focus on the Igna.e DEEN Na.iona. Hospita. pa.ients, filling a.resea.ch ga. in the Republic of Guinea. It contributed va.ua.le epidemiologica. da.a.on dyslipidemia.in the studied popula.ion, empha.izing gender, a.e, a.d socio-professiona. ca.egories, which could inform ta.lored prevention a.d ma.a.ement stra.egies in improving the hea.th ca.e of dyslipidemia.pa.ients by proposing diets to help these pa.ients better ma.a.e their disea.e a.d a.food system for preventing dyslipidemia. The study focused on the lipid profile of pa.ients seen a. the ca.diology depa.tment a. the Igna.e DEEN Na.iona. Hospita. Republic of Guinea.(Cona.ry). This wa. a.prospective, descriptive study la.ting six (6) months from Ja.ua.y 24 to July 23, 2021;a.med a. determining the frequency of lipid a.norma.ities a.d pa.hologies rela.ed to the lipid profile. a.tota. of 523 people were included in this study with a.fema.e predomina.ce of 59.34% compa.ed to 40.66% of ma.es for a.ra.io of 1.5 in fa.or of women. The a.e groups of 45 - 54 a.d 55 - 65 were the most a.fected with respective frequencies of 45.42% a.d 30.03%. The most represented socio-professiona. ca.egory wa. tha. of housewives, i.e. 45.78%, followed by tra.ers 18.68%. Our series wa. domina.ed by the ma.ried couple, i.e. 77.29%. Dyslipidemia.constitutes a.modifia.le ca.diova.cula. risk fa.tor in pa.ients seen in the ca.diology depa.tment a. the Igna.e DEEN Hospita.;its control must be strict through the use of hygienic a.d dieta.y rules a.d hypolipidemia.medica.ions.

Introduction: The a.thors wa.ted to study the preva.ence of ocula. tra.ma.in the ophtha.mology unit of the CSREF of Ka.i. Pa.ients a.d method: This is a.retrospective study, covering the period from Ja.ua.y to December 2015, ca.ried out in the ophtha.mology unit of the CSREF in Ka.i. Results: The sa.ple consisted of 568 pa.ients, or 6.82% of ophtha.mologica. consulta.ions. Children a.ed 0 to 14 yea.s a.counted for 154 (27.11%) of the tra.ma.ca.es. Bruises constitute the ma.n circumsta.ce (58.1%) of eye tra.ma. followed by domestic a.cidents (15.6%). Closed globe ocula. tra.ma.wa. the ma.n type of tra.ma.(61.6%), followed by ocula. a.nexa. tra.ma.(30.1%) a.d open globe tra.ma.(8.3%) in which the penetra.ing wound wa. the lesion, the lea.t common (2.6%) but the most serious. Medica. trea.ment wa. the most used thera.eutic moda.ity in 82.4% of ca.es, followed by surgery with 17.6% of ca.es. The evolution of the lesions a.ter trea.ment wa. fa.ora.le in 85.6% of ca.es a.d unfa.ora.le in 14.4% of ca.es. Complica.ions were observed in 5.8% of ca.es a.d sequela. in 8.6% of ca.es. Conclusion: Ocula. tra.ma.constitutes a. importa.t rea.on for ophtha.mologica. consulta.ion a. the CSREF of Ka.i. The severity of some of these lesions requires frequent recourse to surgery. The complexity of the trea.ment should encoura.e us to fa.or preventive mea.ures.

Introduction: Undetected refra.tive errors constitute a.hea.th problem a.ong school children who ca.not ta.e a.va.ta.e of educa.iona. opportunities. The a.thors studied the preva.ence of refra.tive errors in school children a.ed 5 to 15 a. CHU-IOTa. Pa.ients a.d Method: This is a.prospective, descriptive cross-sectiona. study ca.ried out in the ophtha.mic-pedia.rics depa.tment of CHU-IOTa. from October to November 2023. Results: We received 340 school children a.ed 5 to 15, a.ong whom 111 presented a.etropia. i.e. a.preva.ence of 32.65%. The a.era.e a.e wa. 11.42 ± 2.75 yea.s a.d a.sex ra.io of 0.59. The a.era.e visua. a.uity wa. 4/10 (ra.ge 1/10 a.d 10/10). We found refra.tive defects: a.tigma.ism 73.87%, hyperopia.23.87% of ca.es a.d myopia.2.25%. The decline in dista.ce visua. a.uity wa. the most common functiona. sign. Ocula. a.norma.ities a.socia.ed with a.etropia.were domina.ed by a.lergic conjunctivitis (26.13%) a.d pa.illa.y exca.a.ion (6.31%) in a.tigma.ics;a.lergic conjunctivitis (9.01%) a.d pa.illa.y exca.a.ion (7.20%) in hyperopic pa.ients;turbid vitreous (0.90%), myopic choroidosis (0.45%) a.d a.lergic conjunctivitis (0.45%) in myopes. Conclusion: Refra.tive errors constitute a.rea.ity a.d a.ma.or public hea.th problem a.ong school children.
