Introduction: The a.thors wa.ted to study the preva.ence of ocula. tra.ma.in the ophtha.mology unit of the CSREF of Ka.i. Pa.ients a.d method: This is a.retrospective study, covering the period from Ja.ua.y to December 2015, ca.ried out in the ophtha.mology unit of the CSREF in Ka.i. Results: The sa.ple consisted of 568 pa.ients, or 6.82% of ophtha.mologica. consulta.ions. Children a.ed 0 to 14 yea.s a.counted for 154 (27.11%) of the tra.ma.ca.es. Bruises constitute the ma.n circumsta.ce (58.1%) of eye tra.ma. followed by domestic a.cidents (15.6%). Closed globe ocula. tra.ma.wa. the ma.n type of tra.ma.(61.6%), followed by ocula. a.nexa. tra.ma.(30.1%) a.d open globe tra.ma.(8.3%) in which the penetra.ing wound wa. the lesion, the lea.t common (2.6%) but the most serious. Medica. trea.ment wa. the most used thera.eutic moda.ity in 82.4% of ca.es, followed by surgery with 17.6% of ca.es. The evolution of the lesions a.ter trea.ment wa. fa.ora.le in 85.6% of ca.es a.d unfa.ora.le in 14.4% of ca.es. Complica.ions were observed in 5.8% of ca.es a.d sequela. in 8.6% of ca.es. Conclusion: Ocula. tra.ma.constitutes a. importa.t rea.on for ophtha.mologica. consulta.ion a. the CSREF of Ka.i. The severity of some of these lesions requires frequent recourse to surgery. The complexity of the trea.ment should encoura.e us to fa.or preventive mea.ures.

Introduction: Prosta.e ca.cer is the lea.ing urologica. ca.cer. It is the most common ca.cer in men over 50. Objective: To determine the epidemiologica., dia.nostic a.d thera.eutic cha.a.teristics of prosta.e ca.cer in hospita.s in the Thiès region. Pa.ients a.d Methods: We conducted a.descriptive study from Ja.ua.y 1st, 2015 to December 31st, 2020. We included a.l ca.es of prima.y prosta.e ca.cer confirmed on histology. Results: We collected da.a.on 318 ca.es of prima.y prosta.e ca.cer during the study period. Mea. pa.ient a.e wa. 72.7 yea.s (Ra.ge: 49;94 yea.s). Fa.ily history of prosta.e ca.cer wa. found in 22 pa.ients (6.91%). The a.era.e consulta.ion time wa. 18.6 months. The circumsta.ces of discovery were domina.ed by obstructive voiding disorders (97.16%). Digita. Recta. exa.ina.ion wa. suggestive in 55.40% of pa.ients. PSa.level wa. a.ove 20 ng/ml in 76.7% of pa.ients. Prosta.ic a.enoca.cinoma.wa. the only histologica. type (100%). Loca.ized ca.cer represented 7.2% a.d loca.ly a.va.ced ca.cer occurred in 36.5% of ca.es, while meta.ta.ic ca.cer a.counted for 56.3%. Ra.ica. prosta.ectomy wa. performed in 3.18% of ca.es. Morta.ity ra.e wa. estima.ed a. 8.50% a.ter 1 yea.. Conclusion: Prosta.e ca.cer is the lea.ing urologica. ca.cer in the Thies region. It is cha.a.terized by the predomina.ce of loca.ly a.va.ced a.d meta.ta.ic forms.

Ba.kground a.d Objectives: The indica.ion for trea.ment in HBsa.-positive pa.ients with low vira. loa. a.d norma. tra.sa.ina.es requires a. a.sessment of fibrosis. In resource-limited settings, free hepa.ic fibrosis eva.ua.ion tests ca. a.d in thera.eutic decision-ma.ing. Our study a.ms to demonstra.e the utility of a.sessing hepa.ic fibrosis using non-inva.ive ma.kers (a.RI a.d FIB-4) in pa.ients with chronic B vira. hepa.itis without cytolytic a.tivity a.d low vira. replica.ion in our context. Pa.ients a.d Methods: This is a.retrospective cross-sectiona. study conducted between Ja.ua.y 2018 a.d December 2021 a. the University Hospita. Center of Boua.é. Included were a.l pa.ients a.ed ≥18 with norma. tra.sa.ina.es (Results: Our study included 241 pa.ients, with a.mea. a.e of 36.19 yea.s (±10.52 yea.s) a.d a.ma.e predomina.ce of 52%. The mea. FibroSca.® va.ue wa. 6.44 ± 2.3 kPa. a.d 68 pa.ients (28.22%) ha. fibrosis >7 kPa. To exclude significa.t fibrosis (FS Conclusion: a.significa.t proportion of HBV-infected pa.ients with norma. a.T a.d low vira. loa. ha.e a.tive liver disea.e. Both FIB-4 a.d a.RI biologica. scores a.e useful in identifying individua.s without significa.t fibrosis with a.good nega.ive predictive va.ue (>50%).

We a.med to a.sess the theoretica. knowledge of doctors a.d interns in medica. ima.ing in the northern region of Burkina.Fa.o. Methodology: This wa. a.descriptive cross-sectiona. survey ba.ed on a.self-a.ministered questionna.re. Prescribers knowledge wa. estima.ed ba.ed on scores derived from questionna.re responses. Results: We collected 106 questionna.res out of 163, i.e. a.pa.ticipa.ion ra.e of 65.03%. The a.era.e knowledge score wa. 81.71% for the contribution of medica. ima.ing to pa.ient ma.a.ement. It wa. 60.02% for the indica.ions/counter-indica.ions of ra.iologica. exa.ina.ions a.d 72.56% for the risks a.socia.ed with exposure to ra.ia.ion during these exa.ina.ions. The score wa. 59.83% for the methods used to select the a.propria.e ra.iologica. exa.ina.ion. a. rega.ds the completeness of the clinica. a.d biologica. informa.ion on the forms requesting ima.ing exa.ina.ions, the score wa. 96.65%. Specia.ist doctors ha. the highest overa.l level of knowledge (74.68%). Conclusion: Improved technica. fa.ilities, good initia. a.d in-service tra.ning, a.d interdisciplina.y colla.ora.ion will help to ensure tha. ima.ing tests a.e properly prescribed, lea.ing to better pa.ient ca.e.

Introduction: Non-communica.le disea.es constitute a.ma.or public hea.th problem, due to their morbi-morta.ity. The a.m wa. to study knowledge of ca.diova.cula. risk fa.tors a.ong residents of Da.a.. Pa.ients a.d Methods: This wa. a.descriptive cross-sectiona. study. Our investiga.ions were recruited over a.six-month period (October 17, 2021 to Ma.ch 21, 2022). Results: Two hundred a.d twenty-six (226) pa.ients were enrolled. The mea. a.e wa. 45.9 yea.s. The under-40 a.e group wa. the most represented with 37.2%. There were 129 men (57.1%), giving a.ma.e/fema.e sex ra.io of 1.33. The highest level wa. represented by 159 people (70.4%). Those who responded (hea.t disea.e) were in the ma.ority (38.1%). Hypertension wa. the most common CVD for 101 people (44.7%). One hundred a.d ninety (190) people (84%) knew the risk fa.tors for CVD. Good knowledge of risk fa.tors concerned 103 people (54.2%). Obesity wa. the best-known risk fa.tor in 156 ca.es (69%). The media.wa. the most importa.t source of informa.ion for 121 people (53.5%). Hypertensives were the most represented with 8.4%. One hundred a.d thirty (130) people (57.5%) ha. previously pa.d a.tention to these FDRCVs. a.a.eness ca.pa.gns were the most effective mea.s of communica.ion for 170 ca.es (75.2%). Sixteen (16) people (35.6%) were ta.ing a.tihypertensive medica.ion. Wa.king wa. the most popula. physica. a.tivity for 102 people (45%). Introduction: Medica. trea.ment for POa. is continuous a.d lifelong trea.ment. The a.m of this study wa. to eva.ua.e the rela.ionship between the cost of this trea.ment a.d pa.ients’ income a.d the impa.t of this rela.ionship on trea.ment complia.ce. Ma.eria.s a.d Methods: Prospective cross-sectiona. study with a.descriptive a.m covering sociodemogra.hic da.a. a.era.e incomes, a.d direct a.d indirect costs of trea.ment of 57 pa.ients followed for POa. during the period from Ja.ua.y 1, 2012, to December 31, 2016 (5 yea.s). Results: The pa.ients were a.ed 25 to 77 yea.s (mea. = 54.4 yea.s) with a.ma.e predomina.ce (sex ra.io = 1.5). Retirees were the most represented (26.32%), followed by workers in the informa. sector (14.04%) a.d housewives (12.28%). Pa.ients who ha. a. a.nua. income less tha. or equa. to 900,000 CFa.fra.cs (€1370.83) per yea. represented 56.14% a.d those who did not ha.e hea.th covera.e represented 57.89%. The trea.ment wa. monothera.y (64.91%), dua. thera.y (31.58%) or triple thera.y (3.05%) a.d the a.era.e ra.io of “a.nua. cost of trea.ment to a.nua. income” wa. 0.56 with for ma.imum 2.23 a.d 0.02 a. minimum. Pa.ients who considered the cost of trea.ment unbea.a.le for their income represented 78.95%. Conclusion: Prevention of blindness due to gla.coma.requires ea.ly detection but a.so the esta.lishment of hea.th covera.e mecha.isms to improve complia.ce with medica. trea.ment. In a.dition, considera.ion should be given to the development of gla.coma.surgery in our country, the indica.ion of which could be the first intention in certa.n pa.ients, considering for those pa.ients, the geogra.hica. a.d fina.cia. a.cessibility of medica. trea.ment. .

Surgica. trea.ment, in a.dition to a.oiding rupture a.d correcting the a.sthetic da.a.e, will preserve neurologica. functions. We report 2 ca.es tha. we took ca.e of. They a.e a.5-month-old infa.t a.d a.3-yea.-old girl. The first presented a.7 cm rounded meningocele peduncula.ed through the C1 la.ina.defect. The second presented a. 8.6 cm polylobed meningocele peduncula.ed through the C2 la.ina.defect. They both underwent surgery with good progress.

Introduction: Bla.der tumors a.e common in our country;Ma.i is a.bilha.zia. endemic country. In our context, urina.y bilha.zia.is common, a.d bla.der tumors a.ouse pa.ticula. interest in the field of urologica. oncology, beca.se of their frequency, their dia.nosis, their difficulty in ma.a.ement a.d their histologica. pa.ticula.ity. The objective of our work wa. to study the epidemiologica., clinica. a.d thera.eutic a.pects of bla.der tumors. Ma.eria.s a.d Methods: This is a.cross-sectiona., descriptive study with a.retrospective a.d prospective collection tha. took pla.e over 3 yea.s from Ja.ua.y 1, 2020 to December 31, 2022. Results: We identified 316 ca.es of bla.der tumors during this period. Bla.der tumors a.e a.common pa.hology representing 35.95% of a.l hospita.ized pa.ients, a.d occupying the 1st ra.k of tumors in urology in the Urology Depa.tment of the Pr Boca. Sidy Sa.l University Hospita. in Ka.i. Bla.der tumors were more common in men with 56.33%. The a.era.e a.e of our pa.ients wa. 50 yea.s ± 25.8 yea.s a.d the extreme a.es were 20 a.d 87 yea.s. Urina.y schistosomia.is, considered a.predisposing fa.tor, wa. found in 66.78% of ca.es in our pa.ients a. a.history. Tra.surethra. resection of the bla.der wa. performed in 100% of our pa.ients, nephrostomy in 1.90% of ca.es, ureterostomy in 1.58% of ca.es, Bricker type urina.y diversion in 1.27% of ca.es, a.d a.neobla.der in 0.32% of ca.es. Squa.ous cell ca.cinoma.is the domina.t histologica. type (88.29%). The postopera.ive outcome wa. 99% fa.ora.le a.ter resection. Conclusion: Bla.der tumors were ma.nly tumors infiltra.ing the bla.der muscle. The ma.n risk fa.tor wa. urina.y bilha.zia. Squa.ous cell ca.cinoma.is the most common histologica. type with a.dia.nostic dela., thus limiting ra.ica. trea.ment a.ter resection of the bla.der tumor.

Ba.kground: Sponta.eous a.cites fluid infection (Sa.I) is a. extremely serious a.d frequently encountered complica.ion in cirrhotic pa.ients. We a.med to determine the preva.ence of Sa.I a.d the fa.tors a.socia.ed with it in the la.gest hospita. in Cotonou. Methods: This wa. a.retrospective descriptive a.d a.a.ytica. study conducted from Ja.ua.y 2013 to July 2019, a. the Na.iona. a.d University Hospita. Hubert Koutoukou Ma.a.(CNHU-HKM) in Cotonou, Benin. a.l pa.ients followed in the University Clinic of Hepa.o-Ga.troenterology a.d dia.nosed with Sa.I were included. Results: Eighty-two pa.ients were included, predomina.tly ma.es (69.5%), with a.mea. a.e of 51.5 ± 14.5 yea.s. a.ong them, 32 ha. Sa.I, i.e., a.preva.ence of 39%. Of the 32 ca.es of Sa.I, the culture of a.cites fluid wa. positive in 6 ca.es (18.7%). The most frequent germ found in Sa.I wa. Escherichia.coli (5 pa.ients, 83.3%). The fa.tors a.socia.ed with Sa.I in this study were: a.domina. pa.n (p = 0.004), increa.ed bilirubinemia.(p = 0.009), decrea.ed prothrombin level 20 (p = 0.001). Conclusion: Sa.I wa. common in cirrhotic pa.ients in the depa.tment. Certa.n clinica. a.d pa.a.linica. fa.tors were a.socia.ed with it, a. wa. the severity of cirrhosis. Ea.ly dia.nosis a.d a.tiologica. ma.a.ement of cirrhosis could reduce its frequency.

Côte d’Ivoire is currently experiencing strong growth in the mining sector. Identifying the forma.ions present in our subsoil is therefore essentia. for mining recovery. It is in this context tha. we conducted studies on the forma.ions present in the loca.ity of Guintéguéla. It is loca.ed in the northwest of Côte d’Ivoire in the ba.ing region. The a.m of this work wa. to determine the petrogra.hic a.d structura. cha.a.teristics of the forma.ions of the a.ea. The methodology bega. with documenta.ion a.d then followed petrogra.hy a.d structura. a.a.ysis work on the ma.roscopic a.d microscopic levels. We observed six groups of rocks: gra.itoids, a.phibolites, orthogneiss, qua.tzites (poor a.d rich in ma.netites), volca.o-sediments a.d filonia. rocks. Meta.orphism is of a.phibolite to gra.ulite fa.ies. However, volca.o-sediments must be a.socia.ed with the green schist fa.ies. With rega.d to the structura., structures a.d microstructures such a. folia.ion;fra.tures;sigmoida. figures revea. tha. the studied a.ea.wa. a.fected by ductile a.d a.so brittle tectonics whose ma.n directions a.e oriented a.ong the shea. corridor, so N-S to NNW-SSE.
