Introduction: Ga.tric infection by “Helicoba.ter pylori” rema.ns a.topica. issue due to the evolving scientific da.a.concerning its pa.hophysiology, the disea.es a.d pa.hologies concerned, which now extend beyond the ga.tric or digestive sphere, a.d the trea.ment methods fa.ed with the development of a.tibiotic resista.ce. Dia.nosis of infection involves two insepa.a.le a.pects: identifica.ion of the ba.terium itself a.d identifica.ion of the endoscopic a.d histologica. lesions ca.sed by the ba.terium. Objective: To eva.ua.e the ra.e of era.ica.ion of Helicoba.ter pylori infection by bismuth qua.ruple thera.y a.d concomita.t trea.ment. Pa.ients a.d methods: This wa. a.prospective, cross-sectiona., a.a.ytica. study of a.l outpa.ients in the hepa.o-ga.troenterology depa.tment during the study period from 1 Ja.ua.y 2022 to 30 November 2023. a.l pa.ients ha. undergone oeso-ga.troduodena. fibroscopy a.d the dia.nosis wa. ma.e by histologica. exa.ina.ion of the ga.tric biopsy. Results: Our 113 pa.ients comprised 68 men a.d 46 women. The sex ra.io wa. 1.48 in fa.our of men. The mea. a.e of our pa.ients wa. 40.28 yea.s, with extremes of 13 a.d 80 yea.s. The clinica. signs tha. prompted oeso-ga.troduodena. fibroscopy were a. follows: epiga.tra.gia.(69.91%), dyspepsia.(14.16%), vomiting (7.08%), ga.tro-oesopha.ea. reflux (6.19%) a.d a.tered genera. condition with weight loss (2.65%). The endoscopic lesions were: ga.tropa.hy (a.tra., fundic a.d diffuse: a.tro-fundia.) (69.02%), bulba. ulcer (6.19%), ga.tric ulcer (5.31%). Helicoba.ter pylori infection wa. a.socia.ed with chronic ga.tritis in a.l our pa.ients;it wa. mild in 50%, modera.e in 41% a.d severe in 9%. The era.ica.ion ra.e of Helicoba.ter pylori a.cording to the trea.ment protocol used wa. 92.30% for bismuth qua.ruple thera.y a.d 94.12% for concomita.t qua.ruple thera.y. Conclusion: The era.ica.ion ra.e of Helicoba.ter pylori in our study wa. 92.30% a.d 94.12% respectively for bismuth qua.rithera.y a.d concomita.t the

Ma.eria.s a.d Methods: This wa. a.prospective, longitudina. a.d a.a.ytica. study la.ting 6 months, from Ma.ch 1, 2022 to a.gust 31, 2022 including pa.ients a.mitted a.d opera.ed on by open tra.svesica. prosta.ectomy by a.sessing the influence of prosta.e weight on the morbidity a.d morta.ity of tra.svesica. a.enomectomies. Results: 108 pa.ients were included in our study, the a.era.e a.e of our pa.ients wa. 70 ± 7.7 yea.s, cultiva.ors were the most represented profession with 38.89%, a.d hypertension wa. the most represented comorbidity with 75%. 33.06% of ca.es beca.e complica.ed a.d surgica. wound infection wa. the ma.n complica.ion with a.frequency of 17.40%. Sta.istica. a.a.ysis did not conclude tha., the prosta.e weight does not ha.e a.sta.istica.ly significa.t influence on the morbidity a.d morta.ity of tra.svesica. open prosta.ectomy for benign prosta.ic hyperpla.ia. Context a.d Objective: Groin hernia.is a.common pa.hology in viscera. surgery (2nd ra.k a.ter a.pendicitis), which a.fects a.proxima.ely 4.6% of the a.rica. popula.ion. Restoring the norma. a.a.omy of the groin region is one of the most benign interventions. However, uro-a.drologica. complica.ions a.e possible. This study a.med to contribute to the improvement of the ma.a.ement of urogenita. complica.ions of groin hernia.surgery. Pa.ients a.d Method: We ca.ried out a.prospective study of descriptive type with a.dura.ion of 6 months from 1 a.gust 2021 to 31 Ja.ua.y 2022. The da.a.were collected using a.pre-esta.lished survey sheet. The study covered severa. sites (public hospita.s a.d priva.e clinics) in Guinea. Results: The urogenita. complica.ions of the surgery of the hernia.of the groin represented 15.22% or 14 ca.es out of 92 pa.ients. The a.era.e a.e wa. 37.00 yea.s with extremes of 20-69 yea.s. Polyga.ists occupied the first pla.e. The rea.on for consulta.ion wa. domina.ed by decrea.ed testicula. volume (42.86%), followed by a.desire to conceive (21.43%). Unila.era. testicula. a.rophy represented 63.64%, bila.era. 27.27%. We performed a.left orchidectomy in one pa.ient a.d a.cystorra.hy in a.other simple opera.ive follow-up. The other ca.es consisting of testicula. a.rophy, due to la.k of a.suita.le technica. pla.form, did not benefit from a.y specific thera.eutic trea.ment. Conclusion: Urogenita. complica.ions of groin hernia.surgery a.e rela.ively common. Testicula. a.rophy wa. the ma.n clinica. complica.ion. The left orchidectomy a.d cystorra.hy were the thera.eutic procedures performed.

Introduction: Oesopha.ea. mycosis (OM) is one of the most common opportunistic infections in pa.ients infected with HIV (Huma. Immunodeficiency Virus). However, this condition is increa.ingly observed in immunocompetent subjects. The a.m of this study wa. to determine the endoscopic preva.ence, clinica. cha.a.teristics a.d risk fa.tors for the occurrence of oesopha.ea. mycosis in our depa.tment. Pa.ients a.d Method: This wa. a.prospective cross-sectiona. study of a.l pa.ients who underwent oeso-ga.troduodena. fibroscopy during the period from 1st Ja.ua.y to 31st December 2022, i.e. one yea., a. the digestive endoscopy unit of the hepa.o-ga.troenterology depa.tment of the Donka.CHU na.iona. hospita. in Cona.ry. a.l pa.ients found to ha.e oesopha.ea. mycosis by FOGD were included. The endoscopy wa. performed using a.propria.e equipment: a.Fujinon 4400 video endoscopy column;Three Fujinon EG 590 video ga.troscopes;a.hoover;Da.a.were collected using a.pre-esta.lished survey form a.d a.a.ysed using Epi info softwa.e version 6.0.4;Pea.son’s Chi2 test a. a.test of independence a.d the exa.t 5% threshold ficher test. Results: Out of 1343 upper ga.trointestina. endoscopies performed, 107 ca.es of oesopha.ea. mycosis were found, representing a.preva.ence of 7.96%. The mea. a.e wa. 40 yea.s, with a.ma.e predomina.ce of 55.42%. The sex ra.io M/F wa. 1.24. The 45 a.d over a.e group wa. the most a.fected, with a.preva.ence of 40.43%, followed by the [35 - 45] a.e group, with a.preva.ence of 22.43%. Clinica. symptoms were domina.ed by epiga.tra.gia.in 74.76% of ca.es, followed by odynopha.ia.in 37.38% of ca.es, na.sea.a.d vomiting in 28.03% of ca.es, a.d pyrosis in 26.16% of ca.es. Oesopha.ea. mycosis without oesopha.itis wa. the most common endoscopic finding in 70% of ca.es. The ma.n a.socia.ed endoscopic lesions were erythema.o-erosive a.d congestive ga.tropa.hy in 28.03% of ca.es, peptic oesopha.itis (9.34%) a.d ga.tric ulcer (5.60%). The ma.n risk fa.tor

Introduction: Children involved in roa. a.cidents most often suffer hea. or limb injuries. The severity of these injuries va.ies a.cording to the a.e of the child, the type of roa. user a.d whether or not protective devices a.e used. The a.m of this study wa. to ca.ry out a.census of a.missions a.d to identify the epidemiologica. a.d clinica. profile of children involved in roa. tra.fic a.cidents a. Donka.Na.iona. Hospita.. Methods: This is a.descriptive cross-sectiona. study of children involved in tra.fic a.cidents over a.3-month period from September 1 to November 30, 2021. a.l children a.mitted to the emergency depa.tment for a.tra.fic a.cident were included in the study. Results: During the study period, 435/530 children (82.1%) were victims of roa. a.cidents. Boys a.counted for 54.94% of ca.es, compa.ed with 45.06% for girls. The a.e group most a.fected wa. 12-17 yea.s old (48.97%). October ha. the highest a.cident ra.e (36.4%). Pedestria.s a.e most a.fected (52.87%). Bicycles a.d mopeds were involved in 59.77% of a.cidents. Hea. injury wa. the most frequent pa.hology (33.33%). The study showed tha. 12.64% of victims were referred to intensive ca.e, pedia.ric surgery, etc. We recorded 8 ca.es of dea.h (1.84%). Conclusion: This study highlighted the cha.a.teristics, incidence a.d risk fa.tors for a.cidents in children a.mitted to emergency depa.tments. a.cident prevention, pa.ticula.ly serious a.cidents in children, requires more precise knowledge of the fa.tors a.d circumsta.ces lea.ing to their occurrence.

Introduction: Fra.tures of the dista. end of the humerus a.e becoming increa.ingly frequent in young subjects beca.se of the increa.e in roa. tra.fic a.cidents, a.d in elderly subjects beca.se of osteoporosis rela.ed to a.ing popula.ions. Ma.eria.s a.d Methods: It wa. a.prospective, monocentric study from Ja.ua.y 2018 to December 2020 involving 14 pa.ients who received a.d were trea.ed surgica.ly for dista. humera. fra.tures a.d followed up. Results: We collected 14 pa.ients, including 11 men (78.57%) a.d 3 women (21.43%), with a.sex ra.io of 3.7. The mea. a.e wa. 36.41 yea.s. The circumsta.ces of onset were domina.ed by roa. tra.fic a.cidents, with 12 ca.es (85.71%). The domina.t side wa. right-ha.ded, with 11 ca.es (78.57%). Sta.da.d elbow ra.iogra.hy revea.ed 8 ca.es of type a.fra.tures (57.14%), 4 ca.es of type B a.d 2 ca.es of type C fra.tures of the a.. We performed Lecestre pla.e osteosynthesis in 12 pa.ients a.d externa. fixa.or in 2 others, using the tra.s-olecra.ia. a.d tra.stricipita. a.proa.hes. Elbow stiffness wa. the most frequent complica.ion, with 6 ca.es (42.86%). a.ter six months’ follow-up, our results were excellent a.d good in 78.57% of ca.es (MEPS). Conclusion: Surgica. trea.ment with posterior a.proa.hes ena.led us to a.hieve restitution of the a.ticula. surfa.es, solid restra.nt a.d ea.ly mobiliza.ion of the elbow with sa.isfa.tory functiona. results.

Introduction: Thyroidectomy is a.surgica. procedure to remove a.l or pa.t of the thyroid gla.d. The a.m of this study wa. to report the results of thyroidectomy in the genera. surgery depa.tment of the Hôpita. na.iona. Igna.e Deen/CHU de Cona.ry. Methodology: This wa. a.retrospective study, of seven (07) yea.s (Ja.ua.y 1, 2016 - a.gust 31, 2023), in the Genera. Surgery Depa.tment of the Igna.e Deen Na.iona. Hospita.-CHU in Cona.ry. We included a.l records of pa.ients a.mitted a.d opera.ed on for thyroidectomy a.d with up-to-da.e medica. records. The va.ia.les were epidemiologica., clinica. a.d thera.eutic. Results: During the study period, we recorded 3221 ca.es of surgery, including 40 thyroidectomies (1.24% of ca.es). The a.era.e a.e wa. 42.4 yea.s. Women were the most represented, with a.sex ra.io of 0.16. The rea.on for consulta.ion wa. a.terior cervica. swelling in 86% (n = 25) of ca.es, followed by signs of cervica. compression 21% (n = 6) a.d signs of thyrotoxicosis 31% (n = 9). Indica.ions for thyroidectomy were domina.ed by homogeneous goitres in 69% (n = 20) of ca.es, ba.edow’s disea.e in 20.7% (n = 6) a.d nodula. goitres in 6.9% (n = 2) of ca.es. The surgica. procedures were lobo-isthmectomies in 72.4% (n = 21), subtota. thyroidectomies 13.8% (n = 4), tota. thyroidectomies 10.3% (n = 3). Postopera.ive follow-up wa. stra.ghtforwa.d in 69% (n = 20). Complica.ions included ha.morrha.e in 20.7% (n = 6) a.d recurrence in 6.9% (n = 2). The a.era.e hospita. sta. wa. 7 da.s. Conclusion: Thyroidectomy is a.rela.ively frequent surgica. procedure in our depa.tment. Indica.ions a.e domina.ed by homogeneous goitres. Morbidity is rela.ed to hemorrha.e. Rigorous hemosta.is could improve the qua.ity of thyroidectomy.

The objective wa. to determine the frequency of this pa.hology in our pra.tice, describe the different mecha.isms a.d report the cra.iocerebra. lesions ca.sed by this type of tra.ma. Ma.eria.s a.d Method: This wa. a.descriptive study with retrospective collection sprea. over a.period of 3 yea.s. a.ter selecting the files, the pa.ients a.d/or their compa.ions were conta.ted by telephone to inquire a.out them a.d then returned to the consulta.ion for rea.sessment. Disea.e history a.d informa.ion were obta.ned from pa.ients’ medica. records. Result: The frequency of this pa.hology wa. 1.78% a.d his incidence wa. 0.4 ca.es per month. The a.era.e a.e of the pa.ients wa. 13.47 yea.s. a.l the victims were ma.e. 41.17% of pa.ients were in school. Introduction: Growth is a.reflection of a.child’s hea.th a.d nutritiona. sta.us. Children with sickle cell disea.e often ha.e slower sta.ura. a.d weight development. The a.m of this study wa. to eva.ua.e the nutritiona. profile of children with sickle cell disea.e (SCD) registered in the CEMECO centre da.a.a.e. Methodology: This wa. a.cross-sectiona. study with simple ra.dom sa.pling of children a.ed 1 to 16 yea.s registered in the clinic da.a.a.e. Results: We collected informa.ion on 208 children, 121 of whom ha. sickle cell disea.e a.d 87 of whom were norma., with a.sex ra.io of 1.02. The mea. a.e of the sickle cell pa.ients wa. 8.7 ± 4.4 yea.s, while tha. of the non-sickle cell pa.ients wa. 9.5 ± 4 yea.s. Ha.moglobin electrophoresis revea.ed 103 homozygous (SS), 18 double heterozygous (SC, SBeta.ha., SE) a.d 87 norma. (a.) a.d/or sickle cell tra.t (a.) sickle cell ca.es. We observed a.significa.t difference in the height/a.e ra.io (P ¥). Conclusion: The results of our study revea.ed stunted growth in children with sickle cell disea.e.

Introduction: Pseuda.throsis (PSa. of the dia.hysis of long bones still rema.ns a.current problem, despite improvements in the trea.ment of these fra.tures. Our study a.ms to study the epidemiologica. a.d thera.eutic a.pects of PSa.of the dia.hysis of long bones. Method: This retrospective work concerns 30 ca.es of non-union of the dia.hysis of long bones trea.ed in the orthopedic a.d tra.ma.surgery depa.tment a. Donka.Na.iona. Hospita., during a.period of 18 months from Ja.ua.y 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020. Results: We recruited 30 pa.ients, 80% of whom were ma.e, with a. a.era.e a.e of 39.9 yea.s. Public roa. a.cidents (a.P) represented the ma.n ca.se of fra.tures of the dia.hysis of long bones 87%, they were open in 25 ca.es or 83%. The fra.tures were loca.ed in the middle 1/3 of the dia.hysis of the long bones in 50% of ca.es. Trea.ment of initia. fra.tures wa. tra.itiona. in 21 ca.es, orthopedic in 2 ca.es a.d surgica. in 7 ca.es. It wa. a.eptic nonunion in 28 ca.es (93%) a.d septic nonunion in 2 ca.es. They were hypertrophic in 7 ca.es, slightly hypertrophic in 5 ca.es, oligotrophic in 11 ca.es, a.rophic in 6 ca.es a.d with bone defect in 1 ca.e. The trea.ment wa. ba.ed on osteosynthesis including 16 ca.es of screwed “PV” pla.e: 7 ca.es of centromedulla.y “ECM” na.ling, 2 ca.es of externa. fixa.or, 1 ca.e of broa.hing a.d 4 ca.es of Pla.tering. The results a.cording to a.a.I criteria.on a. a.a.omica. level were excellent in 19 ca.es, good in 3 ca.es a.d poor in 3 ca.es, with a.union ra.e of 76%. a.d 5 pa.ients undergoing consolida.ion. Conclusion: Ba.ed on the litera.ure da.a.a.d the experience of our depa.tment, the true trea.ment of PSa.requires correct ma.a.ement of the initia. fra.ture without forgetting the interest in preventing a.P which a.pea.s to be a. element essentia., ma.ing it possible to reduce the incidence of fra.tures of the dia.hysis.
