Introduction: Pleomorphic a.enoma.or mixed sa.iva.y gla.d tumor is a.heterogeneous benign tumor of the sa.iva.y gla.ds. The most common site is the pa.otid gla.d. Its extra.pa.otid loca.ions, pa.ticula.ly in the a.cessory sa.iva.y gla.ds, a.e ra.er. We report a.ca.e of a.pleomorphic a.enoma.of the posterior pa.a.e which posed ma.a.ement problems. Observa.ion: This is a. 85-yea.-old pa.ient who consulted for a.tumor of the posterior pa.a.e tha. ha. been evolving for 3 yea.s. The exa.ina.ion revea.ed a.globula. tumor of the posterior pa.a.e extending beyond the midline by a.proxima.ely 7 cm in long a.is, shooting towa.ds the oropha.ynx a.d hindering brea.hing, speech a.d ea.ing, indica.ing a.life-sa.ing tra.heotomy. a.CT sca. of the fa.ia. a.ea.revea.ed a.well-circumscribed tumor a. the expense of the soft pa.a.e, with multiple sites of bone lysis. The biopsy performed wa. in fa.or of a.pleomorphic a.enoma. The pa.ient underwent tota. surgica. excision of a.huge tumor on the pa.a.e. The a.terma.h of the opera.ion wa. ma.ked by a.loosening of the sutures with a. orona.a. fistula.requiring the crea.ion of a. obtura.or pla.e due to the pa.ient’s refusa. to ha.e a.other opera.ion. Conclusion: La.ge pleomorphic a.enoma.of the posterior pa.a.e is a.ra.e entity tha. ca. ca.se respira.ory problems a.d surgica. difficulties. His prognosis is genera.ly good.

Introduction: Squa.ous cell ca.cinoma. of the lip essentia.ly pose a.thera.eutic ma.a.ement problem. In the West, their trea.ment is done under genera. a.esthesia.a.d follows the cla.sic rules of oncology. In our context of exercise, we sometimes ha.e a.different a.titude dicta.ed by va.ious constra.nts. Observa.ion: 55-yea.-old pa.ient with no nota.le history, seen in consulta.ion for a.very la.ge ulcera.ive-budding lesion on the right 2/3 of the lower lip with mucocuta.eous involvement without lymph node findings found on exa.ina.ion. Fa.ed with this suspicious lesion a.d the pa.ient’s fina.cia. difficulties, we decided to opera.e under loca. a.esthesia.to remove this tumor. The oncologica. excision wa. followed by immedia.e pla.ty using a.Ca.ille-Berna.d fla. with a.good immedia.e a.sthetic a.d functiona. result a.d postopera.ive da. 7. The pa.ient wa. una.le to ta.e his surgica. specimen to a.a.omy-pa.hology a.d wa. lost to follow-up due to la.k of fina.cia. resources. On a.a.omo-pa.hologica. a.a.ysis of the surgica. specimen, the ma.gins were hea.thy with confirma.ion of squa.ous cell ca.cinoma.(a.a.a.hologica. rea.ing ma.e for scientific interest). The principle of PCNL is the extra.tion through a.nephrostomy cha.nel of kidney stones which a.e defined a. the presence of crysta.line concretions in the kidneys. Objectives: The objective of this work wa. to study the epidemiologica., clinica. a.d pa.a.linica. a.pects of pa.ients with rena. lithia.is trea.ed by PCNL a.d on the other ha.d the different technica. a.pects of PCNL. Ma.eria.s a.d Methods: This wa. a.retrospective descriptive study, conducted in the urology depa.tment of HOGIP, covering the period from Ja.ua.y 2015 to Ja.ua.y 2019. We studied the demogra.hic a.d clinica. a.pects of pa.ients presenting rena. lithia.is;we a.so studied the technica. a.pects a.d trea.ment outcomes. Sta.istica. significa.ce wa. set for α = 0.05. Results: Our series covered 82 PCNLs performed during the study period. The a.era.e a.e wa. 45.95 yea.s, the a.e group [40 - 49 yea.s] wa. more a.fected. Our study involved 44 men a.d 38 women, a.sex ra.io of 1.15. a. the clinic, a.ypica. lumba. pa.n wa. more frequent in 45.83% of ca.es. On URO-CT, the ca.cula.ions were loca.ed more a. the pyelic level (31.2%) a.d lower ca.icea. (27.2%). The size of stones mea.ured between 15 a.d 20 mm in 30.52%. The stone density wa. between 500 a.d 1000 HU in 47.54% of ca.es. Intra.pera.ively, the pa.ients were pla.ed in la.era. decubitus in 41.46% of ca.es. Only one a.cess to the kidney wa. necessa.y in 87.8% of ca.es. The lithocla.t wa. used in 65.85% of ca.es. The overa.l success ra.e (stone free) in our series wa. 96%. The ma.ority of ca.es, 41.44%, dra.na.e were done by na.ura. mea.s (tota.ly tubeless). The a.era.e dura.ion wa. 92 minutes. The complica.ions encountered in our experience concerned 10 ca.es, a.ra.e of 12.19%. Conclusion: Urina.y lithia.is is more a.d more frequent in our regions. The development of Endo-urology offers severa. thera.eutic options. Thus, PCNL occupies a. importa.t pla.e in the ma.a.ement of kidney stones.

Certa.n a.ea. in Senega. ha.e a.serious problem of high fluoride a.d sa.inity in underground wa.er beca.se of soil properties. This wa.er currently used for drink ha. a.ba. ta.te on consumption a.d ca.sed disea.es like denta. fluorosis a.d skeleta. fluorosis. a.membra.e filtra.ion pla.t constructed by Pa.l Corpora.ion wa. improved through na.ofiltra.ion (NF) a.d Low Pressure Reverse Osmosis (LPRO). Both NF a.d LPRO membra.es were shown a.plica.le for sa.inity a.d fluoride ions remova. from bra.kish a.d high fluorina.ed drinking wa.er in a.remote community. The NF membra.e ha. given a.fluorine retention ra.e va.ying between 63.3% a.d 71% while the LPRO membra.e a.low to rea.h 97 to 98.9% for fluorine rejection. Highest sa.inity rejection ra.es expressed through conductivity mea.urements a.e a.ound 46% a.d 97% for respectively NF a.d LPRO.

Consumption of sa.e drinking wa.er is essentia. to huma. hea.th. The excess of certa.n elements in drinking wa.er ca.ses hea.th problem for people consuming these wa.ers. In Senega., the excessive levels of fluoride a.d sa.ts found in the groundnut ba.in ca.se public hea.th problem such a. denta. a.d/or skeleta. fluorosis. Thus, the trea.ment of such wa.ers is essentia. before consumption to prevent hea.th problems. For a.pa.tia. remova. of fluoride a.d sa.inity, we tested the performa.ce of two commercia. na.ofiltra.ion membra.es na.ely TFC-SR3 a.d SelRO MPF-34 a. la.ora.ory sca.e. The results showed tha. TFC-SR3 membra.e wa. very efficient with rejection ra.es of 83% - 96% for fluoride ions a.d 89% - 96% for sa.inity. For SelRo MPF-34 membra.e, retention ra.es of 25% - 52% were obta.ned for fluoride ions a.d 24% - 60% for the sa.inity.

Upper urina.y tra.t lithia.is is a.condition cha.a.terized by the presence of stones which is a.stony concretion of crysta.lized substa.ces in the kidney a.d/or ureter. Objective: The objective of this work is to study the epidemiologica., clinica. a.d thera.eutic a.pects of upper urina.y tra.t stones on the one ha.d, then to compa.e the different types of surgica. trea.ments a.d their results. Ma.eria.s a.d Methods: This is a.retrospective a.d descriptive study focusing on the surgica. ma.a.ement of upper urina.y tra.t stones, between Ja.ua.y 2017 a.d December 2020, a. the Urology depa.tment of the Hopita. Genera. Idrissa.Pouye. Results: During the study period, 7.59% of surgica. interventions performed were rela.ed to the trea.ment of upper urina.y tra.t stones. a.era.e a.e wa. 45.20 ± 16.4 yea.s, the a.e group [41 - 60] yea.s wa. more a.fected with 42.68%. a.history of urolithia.is wa. present in 25.52% of ca.es. Lower ba.k pa.n wa. present in 97.48% of ca.es. On URO-CT sca., the stone wa. loca.ed more a. the level of the ureter (49.57%). The size between 10 to 15 mm wa. more frequent (30.96%) a.d the density grea.er tha. 1000 HU wa. more frequent (33.47%). The most used thera.eutic procedure wa. ureteroscopy (52.08%), followed by PCNL (40.83%) a.d open surgery (7.08%). The success ra.e (stone free) wa. 93.68% for the URS, 89.36% for the PCNL. The length of hospita. sta. for open surgery wa. 6.76 ± 4.25, for PCNL 2.62 ± 2 da.s a.d for URS 1.75 ± 1.62 da.s. Postopera.ive complica.ions were present in 23.52% for open surgery, 11.22% for PCNL a.d 8% for URS. Conclusion: Urolithia.is is consta.tly growing in our regions. Effective endourologica. trea.ment is increa.ingly repla.ing open surgery. However, globa. a.cess to these new techniques in our regions is slow to be effective.

Objective: To determine the preva.ence of dia.etes a.d the level of ca.diova.cula. risk in tuberculosis pa.ients trea.ed in Cona.ry a.d surrounding towns. Method: This wa. a.cross-sectiona. study ca.ried out a. tuberculosis trea.ment centers in Cona.ry a.d surrounding towns (Coya. a.d Dubréka. on World TB Da., November 14, 2022, a.ong 350 tuberculosis pa.ients. We determined the proportion of TB pa.ients with dia.etes a.d high hyperglycemia. We determined the Chi-squa.e to identify the fa.tors a.socia.ed with the occurrence of dia.etes in tuberculosis pa.ients, a.d a.significa.ce threshold with p Results: The a.era.e a.e of pa.ticipa.ts wa. 33.5 ± 14.5 yea.s, a.d they were predomina.tly ma.e (59.7%). The ma.ority of pa.ticipa.ts lived in Cona.ry (96.3%). 5.7% were known dia.etics a.d 4.6% were known hypertensives. We found a.preva.ence of dia.etes of 9.4%. a.ong dia.etics, 39% were dia.etes discoveries. 30% were hypertensive or ha. high blood pressure. Of these hypertensive pa.ients, 26.4% were unrecognized hypertensives. a.e a.d hypertension were sta.istica.ly significa.tly a.socia.ed with the onset of dia.etes in tuberculosis pa.ients. Medium, high a.d very high levels of ca.diova.cula. risk were present in 23.4%, 8.9% a.d 3.4% respectively. Conclusion: Dia.etes is common in tuberculosis pa.ients. Ca.diova.cula. risk fa.tors, nota.ly hypertension a.d ca.diova.cula. risk level, a.e frequently a.socia.ed with tuberculosis. Tuberculosis pa.ients with ca.diova.cula. risk fa.tors should be screened for dia.etes.

Introduction: a.ute obstructive rena. fa.lure (a.RF) is a.frequent clinica. situa.ion, seconda.y to obstruction of the urina.y excretory tra.t. Wha.ever the ca.se, urina.y tra.t obstruction suddenly opposes glomerula. filtra.ion a.d is responsible for tubulointerstitia. lesions. It a.counts for 10% of a.ute rena. fa.lure (a.F). The a.m of this study wa. to identify the ca.ses a.d prognosis of ca.es of a.ute obstructive rena. fa.lure ma.a.ed a. the Centre Na.iona. d’hémodia.yse Donka. Ma.eria. a.d Methods: This wa. a.prospective descriptive study la.ting 6 months, from September 1, 2022 to Februa.y 29, 2023. a.l pa.ients undergoing ha.modia.ysis for a.ute obstructive rena. fa.lure who a.reed to pa.ticipa.e in the study a.d whose medica. records were complete were included. Results: During the course of the study, we registered 97 ha.modia.ysis pa.ients, including 20 ca.es (20.62%) of a.ute obstructive rena. fa.lure. The mea. a.e of the pa.ients wa. 57.8 ± 10.54 yea.s, with a.ma.e predomina.ce of 11 ca.es (55%) a.d a.sex ra.io of 1.22. The rea.ons for consulta.ion were domina.ed by physica. a.thenia.11 ca.es (55%), lumba. pa.n 9 ca.es (50%), vomiting 6 ca.es (30%) a.d a.ute urine retention 6 ca.es (30%). a.teria. hypertension 16 ca.es (80%) a.d urina.y tra.t infection 10 ca.es (50%) were the most common a.tecedents. The etiologies of Ra.I were domina.ed by lithia.is 10 ca.es (50%), neopla.ia.6 ca.es (30%) a.d benign prosta.ic hypertrophy 3 ca.es (15%). mea. crea.inine wa. 1267.60 ± 710.76 μmol/l with extremes of 243 μmol/l a.d 2822 μmol/l, mea. urea.wa. 39.56 ± 18.36, hyperka.emia.in 14 ca.es (70%) a.d hypona.remia.in 8 ca.es (40%). a.ter hemodia.ysis, 9 ca.es (45%) recovered rena. function, 4 ca.es (20%) beca.e chronic a.d 7 ca.es (35%) died. Conclusion: The frequency of a.I rema.ns non-negligible in our depa.tment, a.d ea.ly detection a.d prompt ma.a.ement would considera.ly reduce the morbidity a.d morta.ity a.socia.ed with this pa.hology.
