Immunotherapy becomes a promising line of treatment for breast cancer(BC)however,its success rate is still ***:The study was designed to optimize the condition for producing an effective dendritic cell(DCs)based immunotherapy by using DCs and T lymphocytes together with tumor-inﬁltrating lymphocytes(TILs)and tumor-inﬁltrating DCs(TIDCs),treated with anti-PD1 and anti-CTLA4 monoclonal *** mixture of immune cells was co-cultured with autologous breast cancer cells(BCCs)isolated from 26 BC ***:There was a signiﬁcant upregulation of CD86 and CD83 on DCs(p=0.001 and 0.017,respectively),similarly upregulation of CD8,CD4 and CD103 on T cells(p=0.031,0.027,and 0.011,respectively).While there was a signiﬁcant downregulation of FOXP3 and combined ***8 expression on regulatory T cells(p=0.014 for both).Increased CD8/Foxp3 ratio(ps also ***133,CD34 and CD44 were downregulated on BCCs(p=0.01,0.021,and 0.015,respectively).There was a signiﬁcant increase in interferon-γ(IFN-γ,pse(LDH,p=0.02),and a signiﬁcant decrease in vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF,pssion of FOXP3 and Programmed cell death ligand 1(PDL-1)were downregulated in BCCs(psimilarly cytotoxic T lymphocyte antigen-4(CTLA4,p=0.02),Programmed cell death 1(PD-1,psigniﬁcantly downregulated in T ***:Ex-vivo activation of immune cells(DCs,T cells,TIDCs,and TILs)with immune checkpoint inhibitors could produce a potent and effective BC ***,these data should be validated on an experimental animal model to be transferred to the clinical setting.

structural and magnetic properties of BiFe_(1-x)Cr_xO_3 synthesized samples

Chromium doping effects on the structure and the magnetic properties of bismuth ferrite BiFe1-xCrxO3 （x = 0-0.3）（BFCxO） polycrystalline samples are examined. The Perovskite-type oxide samples are synthesized by the conventional solid state reaction at a high pressure of 7 GPa and a temperature of 1273 K. The X-ray powder diffraction patterns at room temperature show that all the samples with x = 0.0-0.3 are described by the rhombohedral structure. In the meantime, it is revealed that the doping of Cr can induce noticeable lattice distortions in the doping samples, and the largest distortion is observed in the case x = 0.1. The magnetic hysteresis loops measured at room temperature exhibit week ferromagnetic behaviors of the samples and the magnetization is found to increase with the increase in Cr concentration. The temperature- dependent magnetization curves indicate antiferromagnetic features in samples. Moreover, Cr-doping tends to reduce the ordering temperature.

Background and Objective: The outcome of locally advanced and metastatic urothelial carcinoma LA/mUC has improved over the past years with a plethora of new treatments and the approval of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs), antibody-drug conjugates, and targeted agents, to identify locally advanced metastatic urothelial carcinoma’s current management practices in Lebanon and the implication of the ongoing economic crisis on the medical practice. Methods: An online questionnaire was used to survey ten Lebanese oncologists from six different hospitals, between July 5 and July 11, 2022, requesting information pertaining to their current clinical practice in the pharmacological treatment of locally advanced metastatic urothelial carcinoma. Key Findings: Cisplatin-based chemotherapy was the most frequently reported initial treatment of locally advanced metastatic urothelial carcinoma. Participants reported using immune checkpoint inhibitors in platinum-ineligible patients and those with PDL1 positive tumors. Also, they would not consider the concomitant use of immunotherapy and chemotherapy in the first-line setting. Participants believed that avelumab maintenance is effective in the absence of progression after first-line platinum-based chemotherapy;they would consider initiating it 2 - 10 weeks after completion of chemotherapy. Conclusions and Clinical Implications: After comparing with current international guidelines, this study shows that Lebanese oncologists follow international guidelines and have deep knowledge of recent clinical trials for the management of locally advanced metastatic urothelial carcinoma, regardless of economic crisis challenges.

Assessment of BRRI Whole Feed Combine Harvester (Model BRRI WCH2021) for Mechanized Rice Harvesting in Bangladesh

Agricultural mechanization plays a pivotal role in the transition from subsistence to commercial agriculture, with a particular focus on labour-intensive activities like harvesting. This study assesses the operational characteristics of the BRRI Whole Feed Combine Harvester (Model BRRI WCH2021) at the field level. Developed under the sFMRA project, the harvester’s technical performance and loss assessment were conducted during the Boro 2022 and Aman 2022 seasons in farmer fields in Bangladesh’s Rangpur region. The field efficiency of the harvester was determined to be 62.5% and 57.9% in the Boro and Aman seasons, respectively. Fuel consumption rates were recorded at 2.77 l/ha and 2.31 l/ha for the Boro and Aman seasons. The total harvesting losses, encompassing cutter bar, shatter, cylinder, and separation loss, averaged 0.56% and 0.48% in the Boro and Aman seasons, respectively. Mechanized harvesting with the BRRI Whole Feed Combine Harvester significantly reduced paddy losses by 5.81% compared to manual methods. The field evaluation results indicate the combine harvester’s satisfactory performance, highlighting its potential to alleviate labour demands during peak harvesting. The development of the BRRI WCH offers a sustainable solution for rice harvesting mechanization among progressive farmers. It paves the way for the broader adoption of advanced agricultural technology in Bangladesh.

Abundant closed-form wave solutions to the simplified modified Camassa-Holm equation

The simplified modified Camassa-Holm (sMCH) equation is an important nonlinear model equation for identifying various wave phenomena in ocean engineering and science. The new auxiliary equation (NAE) method has been applied to the sMCH equation. Base on the method, we have obtained some novel an- alytical solutions such as hyperbolic, trigonometric, exponential, and rational function solutions of the sMCH equation. For appropriate values of parameters, three dimensional (3D) and two dimensional (2D) graphs are designed by Mathematica. The stability of the model is also discussed in this manuscript. The dynamic and physical behaviors of the solutions derived from the sMCH equation have been ex- tensively discussed by these plots. All our solutions are indispensable for understanding the nonlinear phenomena of dispersive waves that are important in ocean engineering and science. In addition, our results are essential to clarify the various oceanographic applications containing ocean gravity waves, offshore rig in water, energy associated with a moving ocean wave and numerous other related phenom- ena. Finally, the obtained solutions are helpful for studying wave interactions in many new structures and high-dimensional models.

Physical and economic impacts of studded tyre use on pavement structures in cold climates

In cold regions like Alaska of UsA,Canada and the northern parts of Europe,using studded tyres is common among the public when driving in icy and snowy ***,studded tyres cause extensive wear to asphalt pavement,reducing pavement *** study addresses the physical and economic impacts of winter studded tyres on the roadway system to better inform decision makers as they develop alternative solutions and future *** approach is applied in a case study from a sample of Alaska statewide road *** were employed to examine the extent of the use of studded tyres and cost-effective alternatives.A pavement life-cycle cost review was established considering several variables to discover a realistic cost of roadway resurfacing and *** rates due to studded tyres and rut rates due to wheel loads were found for different highway *** results indicate higher average wear rates due to studded passenger vehicles on freeways than average rut rates due to heavy wheel *** results also indicate lower average wear rates on arterial and collector *** estimates show that studded tyre use reduced asphalt surface life by about 7 years on the selected freeway sample in the case study,which is about 47%loss in pavement life based on the initial design life of 15 *** road classes experienced lower reductions in service ***,cost analysis was provided to reflect the impact of studded tyres on the state’s *** were suggested,which in turn may help other cold regions develop strategies on the use of new winter tyre technology.

Appraisal of Improvement in Physiological and Metabolic Processes by Exogenously Applied Natural and synthetic Ascorbic Acid in Okra(Abelmoschus esculentus L.)Fruit subjected to Water Deficit stress

To counteract the effects of drought stress,scientists have adopted several approaches including the use of different chemicals both inorganic and organic,which is contemplated as a highly efficient and cost-effective shot-gun *** acid(AsA)is a potential organic substance,which widely occurs in plants,and is considered to be an effective antioxidant to counteract reactive oxygen species(ROs).Thus,a pot experiment was performed to assess the relative mitigating impacts of synthetic AsA and naturally occurring AsA in the form of lemon juice(LJ)and orange juice(OJ)on two cultivars of okra(Abelmoschus esculentus L.)namely sabz Pari and Bhindi sanwali under varying water deficit *** 30 days of seed germination,okra seedlings were subjected to different irrigation regimes,i.e.,water deficit stress[(65%and 50%F.C.)and control conditions(100%F.C.)].Different levels of AsA[control(no spray),14 mg L^(−1)LJ,24 mg L^(−1)OJ and 150 mg L^(−1)AsA]obtained from different sources were applied as a foliar spray to control and water-stressed *** stress prominently reduced plant growth and yield attributes of the okra ***-deficit conditions(65%and 50%F.C.)substantially decreased the fruit chlorophyll(a,b)pigments and the activity of superoxide dismutase(sOD)enzyme,while an increase was observed in the contents of fruit’s hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2)),malondialdehyde(MDA),total phenolics,total soluble sugars,AsA,and total soluble *** stress also increased the activities of antioxidant enzymes like peroxidase(POD)and catalase(CAT).However,plant growth and yield attributes,fruit chlorophyll pigments,total phenolics,total soluble sugars,total free amino acids,total soluble proteins,AsA,GB,H_(2)O_(2),and the activities of antioxidant enzymes(POD and CAT)were increased by the AsA exogenous treatment in both okra cultivars under water deficit and control ***,LJ and OJ were more effective than the synthetic AsA in up

A Porous Nano-Micro-Composite as a High-Performance Bi-Functional Air Electrode with Remarkable stability for Rechargeable Zinc-Air Batteries

The development of bi-functional electrocatalyst with high catalytic activity and stable performance for both oxygen evolution/reduction reactions(OER/ORR)in aqueous alkaline solution is key to realize practical application of zinc-air batteries(ZABs).In this study,we reported a new porous nano-micro-composite as a bifunctional electrocatalyst for ZABs,devised by the in situ growth of metal-organic framework(MOF)nanocrystals onto the micrometersized Ba0.5sr0.5Co0.8Fe0.2O3(BsCF)perovskite *** carbonization,MOF was converted to porous nitrogen-doped carbon nanocages and ultrafine cobalt oxides and CoN4 nanoparticles dispersing inside the carbon nanocages,which further anchored on the surface of BsCF *** homogeneously dispersed BsCF perovskite particles in the surfactant;subsequently,ZIF-67 nanocrystals were grown onto the BsCF *** this way,leaching of metallic or organic species in MOFs and the aggregation of BsCF were effectively suppressed,thus maximizing the number of active sites for improving *** BsCF in turn acted as catalyst to promote the graphitization of carbon during pyrolysis,as well as to optimize the transition metal-tocarbon ratio,thus enhancing the ORR catalytic activity.A ZAB fabricated from such air electrode showed outstanding performance with a potential gap of only 0.83 V at 5 mA cm-2 for OER/***,no obvious performance degradation was observed for the continuous charge-discharge operation for 1800 cycles over an extended period of 300 h.

Multiferroic BiFe1-xCrxO3 (x = 0.2 and 0.4) ceramics were synthesized in a single phase. The effects of Cr3+ substitution on the crystal structure, dielectric permittivity and leakage current were investigated. Preliminary X-ray structural studies revealed that the samples had a rhombohedral perovskite crystal structure. The dielectric constant ε' significantly increased while the dielectric loss tanδ was substantially decreased with the increase in Cr3+ substitution. The temperature effect on the dielectric properties exhibited an anomaly corresponding to magneto-electric coupling in the samples and was shifted to lower temperatures with the increase in Cr3+ substitution. The leakage current density also reduced in magnitude with the increase in the Cr3+ substitution.

Deliberate modulation of the electronic structure via interface engineering is one of promising perspectives to build advanced catalysts for urea oxidation reaction(UOR)at high current ***,it still remains some challenges originating from the intrinsically sluggish UOR dynamics and the high energy barrier for urea *** response,we report the coupled Nise_(2)nanowrinkles with Ni_(5)P_(4)nanorods heterogeneous structure onto Ni foam(denoted as Nise_(2)@Ni_(5)P_(4)/NF)through successive phosphorization and selenization strategy,in which the produced closely contacted interface could provide high-flux electron transfer *** findings decipher that the fast charge transfer takes place at the interfacial region from Ni_(5)P_(4)to Nise_(2),which is conducive to optimizing adsorption energy of urea *** expected,the well-designed Nise_(2)@Ni_(5)P_(4)/NF only requires the low potential of 1.402 V at the current density of 500 mA·cm^(-2).More importantly,a small Tafel slope of 27.6 mV·dec^(-1),a high turnover frequency(TOF)value of 1.037 s^(-1)as well as the prolonged stability of 950 h at the current density of 100 mA·cm^(-2)are also *** study enriches the understanding on the electronic structure modulation via interface engineering and offers bright prospect to design advanced UOR catalysts.
