Security and safety remain paramount concerns for both governments and individuals *** today’s context,the frequency of crimes and terrorist attacks is alarmingly increasing,becoming increasingly intolerable to ***,there is a pressing need for swift identification of potential threats to preemptively alert law enforcement and security forces,thereby preventing potential attacks or violent *** advancements in big data analytics and deep learning have significantly enhanced the capabilities of computer vision in object detection,particularly in identifying *** paper introduces a novel automatic firearm detection surveillance system,utilizing a one-stage detection approach named MARIE(Mechanism for Realtime Identification of firearms).MARIE incorporates the Single Shot Multibox Detector(SSD)model,which has been specifically optimized to balance the speed-accuracy trade-off critical in firearm detection *** SSD model was further refined by integrating MobileNetV2 and InceptionV2 architectures for superior feature extraction *** experimental results demonstrate that this modified SSD configuration provides highly satisfactory performance,surpassing existing methods trained on the same dataset in terms of the critical speedaccuracy *** these innovations,MARIE sets a new standard in surveillance technology,offering a robust solution to enhance public safety effectively.

Background: Chronic venous ulcers are a serious problem for both patients and physicians. The CEAP classification(clinical manifestations(C), etiologic factors(E), anatomic distribution of disease(A), and underlying pathophysiologic findings(P)) for chronic venous disorders(CVD) was developed in 1994. Published papers on CVD use all or part of the CEAP. Micropunch grafts, which are a variation of skin grafts, have been used with great success in plastic surgery for both esthetic and reconstructive purposes. This study aimed to assess the outcomes of micropunch grafting in the treatment of chronic refractory venous ***: Patients with chronic venous ulcers who did not respond to conservative treatment for more than 6months were included in the study. All patients underwent ulcer coverage by micropunch skin grafts using a micrometer. The patients were discharged on the same day as the surgery. Micropunch skin grafts were manually counted per square centimeter intraoperatively and during follow-up using Dermlite DermatoschopeTM II Pro *** satisfaction was assessed by using a ***: Twenty patients underwent the surgery. Most of the patients were middle-aged males. The ulcers were predominantly small-and medium-sized. The mean operation time was 167.00 ± 86.01 min. After 6 months, the survival rate of the planted micrografts was 84%. Three ulcers had graft loss and two patients had an infection at the ulcer site, which was managed conservatively. The patients were followed-up for 14 ***: Micropunch grafting is a useful and convenient method for the treatment of difficult venous ulcers and can be performed on an outpatient basis.

In this paper, we consider the static output feedback （SOf） H∞-synthesis problem posed as a nonlinear semi-definite programming （NSDP） problem. Two numerical algorithms are developed to tackle the NSDP problem by solving the corresponding Karush- Kuhn-Tucker first-order necessary optimality conditions iteratively. Numerical results for various benchmark problems illustrating the performance of the proposed methods are given.

Characterization of low-purity clays for geopolymer binder formulation

The production of geopolymer binders from low-purity clays was investigated. Three low-purity clays were calcined at 750℃ for 4 h. The calcined clays were chemically activated by the alkaline solutions of NaOH and Na2SiO3. The compressive strength was measured as a function of curing time at room temperature and 85℃. The results were compared with those of a pure kaolin sample. An amorphous aluminosilicate polymer was formed in all binders at both processing temperatures. The results show that, the mechanical properties depend on the type and amount of active aluminum silicates in the starting clay material, the impurities, and the processing temperature.

Computer vision is one of the significant trends in computer *** plays as a vital role in many applications,especially in the medical *** detection and segmentation of different tumors is a big challenge in the medical *** proposed framework uses ultrasound images from Kaggle,applying five diverse models to denoise the images,using the best possible noise-free image as input to the U-Net model for segmentation of the tumor,and then using the Convolution Neural Network(CNN)model to classify whether the tumor is benign,malignant,or *** main challenge faced by the framework in the segmentation is the speckle ***’s is a multiplicative and negative issue in breast ultrasound imaging,because of this noise,the image resolution and contrast become reduced,which affects the diagnostic value of this imaging *** result,speckle noise reduction is very vital for the segmentation *** framework uses five models such as Generative Adversarial Denoising Network(DGAN-Net),Denoising U-Shaped Net(D-U-NET),Batch Renormalization U-Net(Br-UNET),Generative Adversarial Network(GAN),and Nonlocal Neutrosophic ofWiener filtering(NLNWf)for reducing the speckle noise from the breast ultrasound images then choose the best image according to peak signal to noise ratio(PSNR)for each level of *** five used methods have been compared with classical filters such as Bilateral,frost,Kuan,and Lee and they proved their efficiency according to PSNR in different levels of *** five diverse models are achieved PSNR results for speckle noise at level(0.1,0.25,0.5,0.75),(33.354,29.415,27.218,24.115),(31.424,28.353,27.246,24.244),(32.243,28.42,27.744,24.893),(31.234,28.212,26.983,23.234)and(33.013,29.491,28.556,25.011)forDGAN,Br-U-NET,D-U-NET,GANand NLNWf *** to the value of PSNR and level of speckle noise,the best image passed for segmentation using U-Net and classification usingCNNto detect tumor *** experiments proved

Radial Hahn Moment Invariants for 2D and 3D Image Recognition

Recently, orthogonal moments have become efficient tools for two-dimensional and three-dimensional（2D and 3D） image not only in pattern recognition, image vision, but also in image processing and applications engineering. Yet, there is still a major difficulty in 3D rotation invariants. In this paper, we propose new sets of invariants for 2D and 3D rotation, scaling and translation based on orthogonal radial Hahn moments. We also present theoretical mathematics to derive them. Thus, this paper introduces in the first case new 2D radial Hahn moments based on polar representation of an object by one-dimensional orthogonal discrete Hahn polynomials, and a circular function. In the second case, we present new 3D radial Hahn moments using a spherical representation of volumetric image by one-dimensional orthogonal discrete Hahn polynomials and a spherical function. further 2D and 3D invariants are derived from the proposed 2D and 3D radial Hahn moments respectively, which appear as the third case. In order to test the proposed approach, we have resolved three issues： the image reconstruction, the invariance of rotation, scaling and translation, and the pattern recognition. The result of experiments show that the Hahn moments have done better than the Krawtchouk moments, with and without noise. Simultaneously, the mentioned reconstruction converges quickly to the original image using 2D and 3D radial Hahn moments, and the test images are clearly recognized from a set of images that are available in COIL-20 database for 2D image, and Princeton shape benchmark（PSB） database for 3D image.

Prediction of COVID-19 Transmission in the United States Using Google Search Trends

Accurate forecasting of emerging infectious diseases can guide public health officials in making appropriate decisions related to the allocation of public health *** to the exponential spread of the COVID-19 infection worldwide,several computational models for forecasting the transmission and mortality rates of COVID-19 have been proposed in the *** accelerate scientific and public health insights into the spread and impact of COVID-19,Google released the Google COVID-19 search trends symptoms open-access *** objective is to develop 7 and 14-day-ahead forecasting models of COVID-19 transmission and mortality in the US using the Google search trends for COVID-19 related ***,we propose a stacked long short-term memory(SLSTM)architecture for predicting COVID-19 confirmed and death cases using historical time series data combined with auxiliary time series data from the Google COVID-19 search trends symptoms *** the SLSTM networks trained using historical data only as the base models,our base models for 7 and 14-day-ahead forecasting of COVID cases had the mean absolute percentage error(MAPE)values of 6.6%and 8.8%,*** the other side,our proposed models had improved MAPE values of 3.2%and 5.6%,*** 7 and 14-day-ahead forecasting of COVID-19 deaths,the MAPE values of the base models were 4.8%and 11.4%,while the improved MAPE values of our proposed models were 4.7%and 7.8%,*** found that the Google search trends for“pneumonia,”“shortness of breath,”and“fever”are the most informative search trends for predicting COVID-19 *** also found that the search trends for“hypoxia”and“fever”were the most informative trends for forecasting COVID-19 mortality.

AIM:To detect whether Toxoplasma gondii(***)infection of mice can induce retinal DNA ***:A total of 20 laboratory-bred male Swiss albino mice were used and divided into four groups:control group(non-infected animals);*** infected group;immunosuppressed infected group;and infected group treated with sulfadiazine and *** eyes were collected 6wk post infection and retinas were *** retina was immediately processed for comet assay and the frequency of tailed nuclei(DNA damage)was *** addition,retinal DNA damage was revealed by various comet assay parameters that were provided by the image analysis software including tail length,percentage of DNA in the tail,percentage of tailed cells and tail ***:The obtained results showed that *** infection induced a statistically significant increase in the frequency of tailed nuclei,tail length,percentage of DNA in the tail,and tail moment in mice retinal cells compared to the control group(which showed some degree of DNA damage).In immunosuppressed infected group,retinal DNA damage was severing and there was significant increase in various comet assay parameters compared to both control and infected *** treatment with sulfadiazine and pyrimethamine,retinal DNA damage decreased and all comet assay parameters showed a statistical significant decrease compared to infected ***:*** infection can induce DNA damage in mice retinal cells.

The aim of this study is to map the areas exposed to water erosion risks in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco around the Hassan-I *** methodology is based on the analysis of the water power index(WPI)as a hydrological parameter,the vegetation cover,and the litho-logical *** WPI was derived from a Digital elevation Model(DEM)and the litho-logical units and vegetation cover were derived from Advanced Land Imager sensor on the Earth Observing-1 satellite *** image was corrected from radiometric and atmospheric effects,and geometrically rectified using a DEM and grounds control *** variables were integrated in a Geographical Information Systems environment,and Multi-Criteria Analyses were used to derive the water erosion risks map pointing out the most exposed areas requiring the implementation of suitable conservation *** validation of the obtained results shows the simplicity and the potential of this approach for water erosion risks mapping.
