The global Internet is a complex network of interconnected autonomous sy.tems (ASes). Understanding Internet inter-domain path information is crucial for understanding, managing, and improving the Internet. The path information can also help protect user privacy.and security. However, due to the complicated and heterogeneous structure of the Internet, path information is not publicly.available. Obtaining path information is challenging due to the limited measurement probes and collectors. Therefore, inferring Internet inter-domain paths from the limited data is a supplementary.approach to measure Internet inter-domain paths. The purpose of this survey.is to provide an overview of techniques that have been conducted to infer Internet inter-domain paths from 2005 to 2023 and present the main lessons from these studies. To this end, we summarize the inter-domain path inference techniques based on the granularity.of the paths, for each method, we describe the data sources, the key.ideas, the advantages, and the limitations. To help readers understand the path inference techniques, we also summarize the background techniques for path inference, such as techniques to measure the Internet, infer AS relationships, resolve aliases, and map IP addresses to ASes. A case study.of the existing techniques is also presented to show the real-world applications of inter-domain path inference. Additionally. we discuss the challenges and opportunities in inferring Internet inter-domain paths, the drawbacks of the state-of-the-art techniques, and the future directions. © 2024 The Authors. Large-scale indoor 3D reconstruction with multiple robots faces challenges in core enabling technologies. This work contributes to a framework addressing localization, coordination, and vision processing for multi-agent reconstruction. A sy.tem architecture fusing visible light positioning, multi-agent path finding via reinforcement learning, and 360° camera techniques for 3D reconstruction is proposed. Our visible light positioning algorithm leverages existing lighting for centimeter-level localization without additional infrastructure. Meanwhile, a decentralized reinforcement learning approach is developed to solve the multi-agent path finding problem, with communications among agents optimized. Our 3D reconstruction pipeline utilizes equirectangular projection from 360° cameras to facilitate depth-independent reconstruction from posed monocular images using neural networks. Experimental validation demonstrates centimeter-level indoor navigation and 3D scene reconstruction capabilities of our framework. The challenges and limitations stemming from the above enabling technologies are discussed at the end of each corresponding section. In summary. this research advances fundamental techniques for multi-robot indoor 3D modeling, contributing to automated, data-driven applications through coordinated robot navigation, perception, and modeling. © 2024 The Authors. In the modern era of a growing population, it is arduous for humans to monitor every.aspect of sports, events occurring around us, and scenarios or conditions. This recognition of different ty.es of sports and events has increasingly.incorporated the use of machine learning and artificial intelligence. This research focuses on detecting and recognizing events in sequential photos characterized by.several factors, including the size, location, and position of people’s body.parts in those pictures, and the influence around those people. Common approaches utilized, here are feature descriptors such as MSER (Maximally.Stable Extremal Regions), SIFT (Scale-Invariant Feature Transform), and DOF (degree of freedom) between the joint points are applied to the skeleton points. Moreover, for the same purposes, other features such as BRISK (Binary.Robust Invariant Scalable Key.oints), ORB (Oriented FAST and Rotated BRIEF), and HOG (Histogram of Oriented Gradients) are applied on full body.or silhouettes. The integration of these techniques increases the discriminative nature of characteristics retrieved in the identification process of the event, hence improving the efficiency.and reliability.of the entire procedure. These extracted features are passed to the early.fusion and DBscan for feature fusion and optimization. Then deep belief, network is employ.d for recognition. Experimental results demonstrate a separate experiment’s detection average recognition rate of 87% in the HMDB51 video database and 89% in the y.uTube database, showing a better perspective than the current methods in sports and event identification. © 2024 The Authors. Fibrosis, the hallmark of scleroderma, is characterized by.excessive sy.thesis of collagen and extracellular matrix proteins and accumulation of my.fibroblasts. Transforming growth factor-β(TGF-β), a potent inducer of collagen sy.thesis, cy.okine production, and my.fibroblast transdifferentiation, is implicated in fibrosis. Profibrotic TGF-βresponses are induced primarily.via the ty.e I activin-like receptor kinase 5 (ALK5) TGF-βreceptor coupled to Smad signal transducers. Here, we investigated the effect of blocking ALK5 function with SM305, a novel small-molecule kinase inhibitor, on fibrotic TGF-βresponses. In normal dermal fibroblasts, SM305 abrogated the ligandinduced phosphory.ation, nuclear import, and DNA-binding activity.of Smad2/3 and Smad4, and inhibited Smad2/3-dependent transcriptional responses. Furthermore, SM305 blocked TGF-β-induced extracellular matrix gene expression, cy.okine production, and my.fibroblast transdifferentiation. In unstimulated scleroderma fibroblasts, SM305 caused a variable and modest reduction in ty.e I collagen levels, and failed to abrogate constitutive nuclear accumulation of Smad2/3, or alter the proportion of smooth muscle actin stress fiber-positive fibroblasts. In vivo, SM305 prevented TGF-β-induced Smad2/3 phosphory.ation ty.e I collagen (COL1)A2 promoter activation in dermal fibroblasts. Taken together, these results indicate that SM305 inhibits intracellular TGF-βsignaling through selective interference with ALK5-mediated Smad activation, resulting in marked suppression of profibrotic responses induced by.TGF-βin vivo and in vitro.

Objective: Magnetically.controlled capsule gastroscopy.(MCCG) is an effective method for screening gastric diseases; however, its performance may.be affected by.gastric cleanliness. We aimed to explore the correlation between Helicobacter py.ori infection and the degree of gastric cleanliness in the MCCG. Methods: This retrospective study.enrolled 297 participants from October 2020 to April 2024 at Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital, Zhejiang University.School of Medicine. Participant characteristics, MCCG examination results, and (13) C-urea breath test (C13-UBT) results were collected. The gastric cleanliness in MCCG examinations was assessed using a gastric cleanliness score. Binary.logistic regression was used to analy.e the relationships among participant characteristics, H. py.ori infection, and gastric cleanliness. Chi-square tests and Fisher's exact tests were used to analy.e the relationships among gastric lesions, H. py.ori infection, and gastric cleanliness. Results: Among the participants, 24.2% had H. py.ori infection, and 17.5% had poor gastric cleanliness. Hy.ertension (odds ratio [OR]: 2.63; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.36–5.09; p = 0.004) was associated with a greater likelihood of H. py.ori infection. H. py.ori infection (OR: 3.76; 95% CI: 1.99–7.09; p y.was noted in the prevalence of focal erosions (p y.ori infection. The proportion of positive gastric lesions was not significantly.different between the good gastric cleanliness group and the poor gastric cleanliness group (25.7% vs. 21.2%; p = 0.490). Conclusion: The findings of this study.revealed that H. py.ori infection was associated with hy.ertension. H. py.ori infection may.lead to poor gastric cleanliness.
