The present study concerns the revalorization of drained water from aquaculture ponds rearing clarias gariepinus on okra crops. The rearing was carried out at the farm of Gaston Berger University in 100 m2 ponds. In each pond, the individuals of c. garipinus with an average weight of 6 ± 0.3 g were stocked at a density of 11 per m2. The water temperature and pH were measured during the experiment. The control fishing is carried out every month to monitor variations in the weight and size of reared individuals. The plant production is carried out in elementary plots measuring 3 m × 1.5 m. Each plot was fertilized with either: drained water from c. gariepinus rearing (DWc), poultry droppings (PD), cow dung (cD) and mineral fertilizer (NPK). Treatments are carried out in tripliqua with either river water (RW), RW + the recommended dose of NPK (RD-NPK), RW + RD-PD, RW + RD-cD, DWc, DWc + 25% RD-NPK, DWc + 50% RD-NPK, DWc + 75% RD-NPK, DWc + 25% RD-PD, DWc + 50% RD-PD, DWc + 75% RD-PD, DWc + 25% RD-cD, DWc + 50% RD-cD, DWc + 75% RD-cD. Growth parameters and yield of okra were determined. The average temperature in the rearing environment was 27.6 ± 1.5˚c and pH 7.9 ± 1.1. After six (06) months of rearing, c. gariepinus individuals reached an average weight of 850.12 ± 1.3 g and an average height of 52.44 ± 1.1 cm. The daily weight gain and specific growth rates over this period were 3.9 g per day and 2.8% per day, respectively. The treatment T1 (RW + DR-NPK) gave the highest mean collar diameter and mean plant height with 2.3 ± 0.9 cm and 61.6 ± 32 cm, respectively. In T4 (DWc), the mean height of plants was 38.8 ± 23.5 cm and mean collar diameter 1.4 ± 0.8 cm. The growth performance in T4 was comparable to that of RD-cD (T3), but different from RD-NPK (T1) and RD-PD (T2). Mantle avalanches in a Venus-like stagnant lid planet

Stagnant lid planets are characterized by a globe-encircling, conducting lid that is thick and strong, which leads to reduced global surface heat flows. consequently, the mantles of such planets can have warmer interiors than Earth, and interestingly, a pyrolitic mantle composition under warmer conditions is predicted to have a distinctly different mantle transition zone compared to the present-day Earth(Hirose, 2002; Stixrude and Lithgow-Bertelloni, 2011; Ichikawa et al., 2014; Dannberg et al, 2022). Instead of olivine primarily transforming into its higher-pressure polymorphs such as wadsleyite and then ringwoodite, at pressures corresponding to410 km and 520 km depth in Earth, respectively, it instead transforms into a mineral assemblage of wadsleyite, majorite, and ferropericlase(WMF), and then to majorite + ferropericlase(MF), before finally transforming into bridgmanite at pressures corresponding to 660 km depth in Earth(Stixrude and Lithgow-Bertelloni, 2011; Ichikawa et al., 2014). convective motions in stagnant lid planets are dominated by small-scale instabilities(cold drips) forming within the mobile rheological sublayer under the rigid lid. Using ASPEcT and a thermodynamic model of a pyrolitic mantle composition generated by HeFESTo, we show that under certain conditions, the small drips can pond atop the WMF-MF mineral phase transition. The barrier to convective flow arises from the WMF mineral phase assemblage having an effective negative thermal expansivity(Stixrude and Lithgow-Bertelloni, 2022). Although large-scale downwellings that typically occur within mobile lid planets are able to pass through the WMF zone without difficulty(Dannberg et al., 2022; Li RP et al.,2024), the smaller and less negatively buoyant nature of downwelling drips in stagnant lid planets are more susceptible to these effects,which leads to an ephemeral layering of the mantle. BAcKGROUND There is limited literature on managing the airway of patients with linear immunoglobulin A(IgA)bullous dermatosis,a rare mucocutaneous disorder that leads to the development of friable *** clinical decision making is necessary when there is a risk of bleeding into the airway,and a multidisciplinary team approach may lead to decreased patient morbidity during these high-risk scenarios,especially when confronted with an unusual cause for *** SUMMARY A 45-year-old African American female presented to our ambulatory surgical center for right corneal transplantation due to corneal perforation after blunt trauma in the setting of cicatricial conjunctivitis and diffuse corneal neovascularization from linear IgA bullous *** diagnosis of IgA dermatosis was recent,and the patient had been lost to *** severity of the disease and extent of airway involvement was unknown at the time of the *** airway bleeding was noticed upon intubation and the otorhinolaryngology team had to be called to the operating *** patient required transfer to the intensive care unit where a multidisciplinary team was involved in her *** patient was extubated on postoperative day *** A multidisciplinary approach to treating this disease is the best course of action before a surgical *** our case,key communication between the surgery,anesthesia,and dermatology teams led to the quick and safe treatment of our patient’s *** surgery should not be considered for these cases unless they are in full remission and there is no mucous membrane involvement.

The influence of resistance exercise training prescription variables on skeletal muscle mass,strength,and physical function in healthy adults:An umbrella review

Preparation and elements analysis of porous fluorescent glasses

A large variety of porous fluorescent glasses were prepared and the concentration of different elements in these glasses was analyzed. The start porous glasses were soaked in a solution containing soluble salts and then heated at 650 ℃ for 3 h to decompose the salts in the pores into oxides. Fluorescent agents, such as UO3, Eu2O3, were impregnated into the porous glasses to prepare the fluorescent glasses. The results show that soaking is a feasible method to prepare the glass sphere with compositions distinguishable from each other and easy to be located in a complicated background. Six or more components can be impregnated together into one glass sample and the concentration of them can be analyzed accurately. UO3 and Eu2O3 can be impregnated into porous glass to make the glass strongly fluorescent. Higher concentration of Eu2O3 produces stronger fluorescence while higher concentration of UO3 reduces the fluorescence intensity because of the concentration quenching effect.

Investigation of the possible role of campylobacter concisus(c. concisus) in inflammatory bowel disease(IBD) is an emerging research area. Despite the association found between c. concisus and IBD, it has been difficult to explain how c. concisus, a bacterium that is commonly present in the human oral cavity, may contribute to the development of enteric diseases. The evidence presented in this review shows that some c. concisus strains in the oral cavity acquired zonula occludens toxin(zot) gene from a virus(prophage) and that c. concisus Zot shares conserved motifs with both Vibrio cholerae Zot receptor binding domain and human zonulin receptor binding domain. Both Vibrio cholerae Zot and human zonulin are known to increase intestinal permeability by affecting the tight junctions. Increased intestinal permeability is a feature of IBD. Based on these data, we propose that a primary barrier function defect caused by c. concisus Zot is a mechanism by which zot-positive c. concisus strains may trigger the onset and relapse of IBD.

Engineering porous organic polymers for carbon dioxide capture

As atmospheric cO_2 levels rise, the development of physical or chemical adsorbents for cO_2 capture and separation is of great importance on the way towards a sustainable low-carbon future. Porous organic polymers are promising candidates for cO_2 capture materials owing to their structural flexibility, high surface area, and high stability. In this review, we highlight high-performance porous organic polymers for cO_2 capture and summarize the strategies to enhance cO_2 uptake and selectivity, such as increasing surface area, increasing interaction between porous organic polymers and cO_2, and pore surface functionalization.

SLc11A1 polymorphisms in inflammatory bowel disease and Mycobacterium avium subspecies paratuberculosis status

AIM: To test for association of SLc11A1 with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and Mycobacterium avium subspecies paratuberculosis (MAP) status in a caucasian cohort. METHODS: Five hundred and seven crohn's disease (cD) patients, 474 ulcerative colitis (Uc) patients, and 569 healthy controls were genotyped for SLc11A1 1730G>A and SLc11A1 469+14G>c using pre-designed TaqMan  SNP assays. χ 2 tests were applied to test for association of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) with disease, and the presence of MAP ***:SLc11A1 1730G>A and SLc11A 1469+14G>c were not associated with cD, Uc, or IBD. The SLc11A1 1730A minor allele was over-represented in patients who did not require immunomodulator therapy (P = 0.002, OR: 0.29, 95% cI: 0.13-0.66). The frequency of the SLc11A1 469+14c allele was higher in the subset of study participants who tested positive for MAP DNA (P = 0.02, OR: 1.56, 95% cI: 1.06-2.29). No association of SLc11A1 1730G>A with MAP was ***: Although SLc11A1 was not associated with IBD, association with MAP suggests that SLc11A1 is important in determining susceptibility to bacteria implicated in the etiology of cD.
