Polychloroprene (PC) based contact adhesives are widely used in various applications;however, there is a possibility to improve the properties of PC adhesive. Modifications of polymers can enhance the properties of the material, e.g. increase in thermal stability, compatibility, rigidity, physical response, flexibility and improve the polymer process ability. In the current study, improved formulation of solvent-based adhesive was developed, and the properties were further enhanced by the addition of nano-reinforcement of multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs). The addition of nano-reinforcement was optimized to obtain improvement in the bond strength and also to enhance its resistance at a high temperature (~100°C). This paper discusses the uniform dispersion of MWCNTs during the synthesis of polychloroprene solvent-based adhesive, thereby improving its structural properties. Incorporation of MWCNTs-solvent-based adhesives resulted in a 20% - 35% improvement in 180° peel strength determined on flexible substrates such as canvas, leather. The reinforced based adhesive also exhibited improved thermal stability and weather resistance compared with unreinforced adhesive. The MWCNTs- solvent-based contact adhesives is a potential candidate in an industrially relevant branch of adhesives commonly used in structural applications, e.g., footwear, plastic, leather, automobile, construction industries, etc.

In this study,aluminum-doped zinc oxide(AZO)thin films were deposited onto a low-temperature polyethylene terephthalate(PET)substrate using DC magnetron *** parameters included power range of 100-300 W,a working pressure of 15 mTorr,and a substrate temperature of 50°***-deposition,flash lamp annealing(FLA)was employed as a rapid thermal processing method with a pulse duration of 1.7 ms and energy density of 7 J·cm-2,aimed at enhancing the film's quality while preserving the temperature-sensitive PET *** offers advantages over conventional annealing,including shorter processing times and improved material *** structural,optical,and electrical characteristics of the AZO films were assessed using X-ray diffraction,field emission scanning electron microscopy coupled with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy,ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy,and Hall effect *** results demonstrated that properties of AZO films varied with deposition and annealing *** deposited at 200 W and subjected to FLA exhibited superior crystallinity,with average visible light transmittance exceeding 80%and resistivity as low as 0.38Ω·cm representing 95%improvement in *** analysis revealed that carrier concentration,mobility,and resistivity were influenced by both sputtering and annealing *** findings underscore the effectiveness of FLA in optimizing AZO thin film properties,highlighting potential in optoelectronics applications.

Writer identification(WI)based on handwritten text structures is typically focused on digital characteristics,with letters/strokes representing the information acquired from the current research in the integration of individual writing habits/*** studies have indicated that a word’s attributes contribute to greater recognition than the attributes of a character or *** a result of the complexity of Arabic handwriting,segmenting and separating letters and strokes from a script poses a challenge in addition to WI *** this work,we propose new texture features for WI based on *** histogram of oriented gradient(HOG)features are modified to extract good features on the basis of the histogram of the orientation for different angles of *** fusion of these features with the features of convolutional neural networks(CNNs)results in a good vector of powerful ***,we reduce the features by selecting the best ones using a genetic *** normalization method is used to normalize the features and feed them to an artificial neural network *** results show that the proposed augmenter enhances the results for HOG features and ResNet50,as well as the proposed model,because the amount of data is *** a large data volume helps the system to retrieve extensive information about the nature of writing *** affective result of the proposed model for whole paragraphs,lines,and sub words is obtained using different models and then compared with those of the CNN and *** whole paragraphs produce the best results in all models because they contain rich information and the model can utilize numerous features for different *** HOG and CNN features achieve 94.2%accuracy for whole paragraphs with augmentation,83.2%of accuracy for lines,and 78%accuracy for sub ***,this work provides a system that can identify writers on the basis of their handwriting and builds a powerful model that can help

The writer identification(WI)of handwritten Arabic text is now of great concern to intelligence agencies following the recent attacks perpetrated by known Middle East terrorist *** is also a useful instrument for the digitalization and attribution of old text to other authors of historic studies,including old national and religious *** this study,we proposed a new affective segmentation model by modifying an artificial neural network model and making it suitable for the binarization stage based on *** modified method is combined with a new effective rotation model to achieve an accurate segmentation through the analysis of the histogram of binary ***,propose a new framework for correct text rotation that will help us to establish a segmentation method that can facilitate the extraction of text from its *** projections and the radon transform are used and improved using machine learning based on a co-occurrence matrix to produce binary *** training stage involves taking a number of images for model *** images are selected randomly with different angles to generate four classes(0–90,90–180,180–270,and 270–360).The proposed segmentation approach achieves a high accuracy of 98.18%.The study ultimately provides two major contributions that are ranked from top to bottom according to the degree of *** proposed method can be further developed as a new application and used in the recognition of handwritten Arabic text from small documents regardless of logical combinations and sentence construction.

AIM: To evaluate the feasibility and safety of performing laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) in nonteaching rural hospitals of a developing country without intra-operative cholangiography (IOC). To evaluate the possibility of reduction of costs and hospital stay for patients undergoing ***: A prospective analysis of patients with symptomatic benign diseases of gall bladder undergoing LC in three non-teaching rural hospitals of Kashmir Valley from Jan 2001 to Jan 2007. The cohort represented a sample of patients requiring LC, aged 13 to 78 (mean 47.2) years. Main outcome parameters included mortality, complications, re-operation, conversion to open procedure without resorting to IOC, reduction in costs borne by the hospital, and the duration of hospital ***: Twelve hundred and sixty-seven patients (976 females/291 males) underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Twenty-three cases were converted to open procedures; 12 patients developed port site infection, nobody died because of the procedure. One patient had common bile duct (CBD) injury, 4 patients had biliary leak, and 4 patients had subcutaneous emphysema. One cholecystohepatic duct was detected and managed intraoperatively, 1 patient had retained CBD stones, while 1 patient had retained cystic duct stones. Incidental gallbladder malignancy was detected in 2 cases. No long-term complications were detected up to ***: LC can be performed safely even in non-teaching rural hospitals of a developing country provided proper equipment is available and the surgeons and other team members are well trained in the procedure. It is stressed that IOC is not essential to prevent biliary tract injuries and missed CBD stones. The costs to the patient and the hospital can be minimized by using reusable instruments, intracorporeal sutures, and condoms instead of titanium clips and endobags.

The cosmic-ray particles of TeV-regime, outside the solar system are blocked in their way to the Earth, a deficit of particles is observed corresponding to the location of the Sun known as the Sun shadow. The center of the Sun shadow is shifted from its nominal position due to the presence of magnetic fields in interplanetary space,and this shift is used indirectly as a probe to study the solar magnetic field that is difficult to measure otherwise.A detailed Monte Carlo simulation of galactic cosmic-ray propagation in the Earth-Sun system is carried out to disentangle the cumulative effects of solar, interplanetary and geomagnetic fields. The shadowing effects and the displacements results of the Sun shadow in different solar activities are reproduced and discussed.

Invert traps are used to trap sewer solids flowing into a sewer drainage system, The performance of the invert trap in an open rectangular channel was experimentally and numerically analysed using field sewer solids collected from a sewer drain. Experiments showed that the free water surface rises over the central opening （slot） of the invert trap, which reduces the velocity near the slot and allows more sediment to be trapped in comparison with the case for the fixed-lid model （assuming closed conduit flow with a shear-free top wall） used by earlier investigators. This phenomenon cannot be modelled using a closed conduit model as no extra space is provided for the fluctuation of the water surface, whereas this space is provided in the volume of fluid （VOF） model in the form of air space in ANSYS Fluent 14.0 software. Additionally, the zero atmospheric pressure at the free water surface cannot be modelled in a fixed-lid model. In the present study, experimental trap efflciencies of the invert trap using field sewer solids were fairly validated using a three-dimensional computational fluid dynamics model （VOF model） coupled with a stochastic discrete phase model. The flow field （i.e., velocities） predicted by the VOF model were compared with experimental velocities obtained employing particle image velocimetry. The water surface profile above the invert trap predicted by the VOF model was found to be in good agreement with the experimentally measured profile. The present study thus showed that the VOF model can be used with the stochastic discrete phase model to well predict the performance of invert traps.

Quantum Mechanical Tunneling of Dislocations: Quantization and Depinning from Peierls Barrier

Theories of Mott and Weertmann pertaining to quantum mechanical tunneling of dislocations from Peierls barrier in cubic crystals are revisited. Their mathematical calculations about logarithmic creep rate and lattice vibrations as a manifestation of Debye temperature for quantized thermal energy are found correct but they can not ascertain to choose the mass of phonon or “quanta” of lattice vibrations. The quantum mechanical yielding in metals at relatively low temperatures, where Debye temperatures operate, is resolved and the mathematical formulas are presented. The crystal plasticity is studied with stress relaxation curves instead of logarithmic creep rate. With creep rate formulas of Mott and Weertmann, a new formula based on logarithmic profile of stress relaxation curves is proposed which suggests simultaneous quantization of dislocations with their stress, i.e., and depinning of dislocations, i.e., , where is quantum action, σ is the stress, N is the number of dislocations, A is the area and t is the time. The two different interpretations of “quantum length of Peierls barrier”, one based on curvature of space, i.e., yields quantization of Burgers vector and the other based on the curvature of time, i.e., yields depinning of dislocations from Peierls barrier in cubic crystals, are presented. , i.e., the unitary operator on shear modulus yields the variations in the curvature of time due to which simultaneous quantization, and depinning of dislocations occur from Peierls barrier in cubic crystals.

Quantum Mechanical Approach for Rutherford Scattering and Nuclear Scattering with Born Approximation

Rutherford classical scattering theory, as its quantum mechanical analogue, is modified for scattering cross-section and the impact parameter by using quantum mechanical momentum, (de Broglie hypothesis), energy relationship for matter oscillator (Einstein’s oscillator) and quantum mechanical wave vectors, and , respectively. It is observed that the quantum mechanical scattering cross-section and the impact parameter depended on inverse square law of quantum action (Planck’s constant). Born approximation is revisited for quantum mechanical scattering. Using Bessel and Neumann asymptotic functions and response of nuclear surface potential barrier, born approximations were modified. The coulombic fields inside the nucleus of the atom are studied for reflection and transmission with corresponding wave vectors, phase shifts and eigenfunctions Bulk quantum mechanical tunneling and reflection scattering, both for ruptured and unruptured nucleus of the atom, are deciphered with corresponding wave vectors, phase shifts and eigenfunction. Similar calculation ware accomplished for quantum surface tunneling and reflection scattering with corresponding wave vectors, phase shifts and eigenfunctions. Such diverse quantum mechanical scattering cross-section with corresponding wave vectors for tunneling and reflection, phase shifts and eigenfunctions will pave a new dimension to understanding the behavior of exchange fields in the nucleus of the atom with insides layers both ruptured and unruptured. Phase shifts, δl for each of the energy profile (partial) will be different and indeed their corresponding wave vectors for exchange energy eigenvalues.
