In this paper, the effects of frying time, white egg (0%, 5% and 10% w/w) and chitosan (0%, 0.5% and 1.5% w/w) addition to the batter formulation on the quality of simulated crispy deep-fried Kurdish cheese nugget crusts was studied by using a deep-fried crust model. Moisture content, oil content, color and hardness of the samples were determined. Crust models were fried at 190℃ for 60, 120 and 180 s. Batter formulations and frying time significantly (p < 0.01) affected moisture, oil content, color and hardness of Crust models. Batter formulation contain 10% white egg was found to be an effective ingredient in decreasing oil content of Crust models. The mean moisture and fat content of Crust models formed with batter contained 10% white egg, fried at 190℃, for 180s were 6.207 ± 0.447 and 5.649 ± 0.394. Batters containing 5% white egg and 1.5% chitosan showed the lowest moisture content and the highest oil content among all the formulations. Crust models containing combination of white egg and chitosan were the darkest. Hardness of samples containing chitosan were the highest, specially for ch1.5 The mean hardness in 60, 120 and 180s of frying in this formulation were 21.518 ± 0.481, 36.871 ± 1.758 and 49.563 ± 1.847 respectively.

Introduction: This study aimed to develop valid and reliable scale with the intention of measure Coping Self-efficacy (CSES) of Iranian type 2 diabetic patients. Patients and Methods: Validity and reliability of Iranian version of Coping Self-efficacy Scale (CSES) were measured by a cross-sectional study. Content validity, reliability and cultural equivalency were appraised through qualitative and quantitative study on 260 participants who have type 2 diabetes. Results: Reliability and validity of the scale and its four subscales, such as “stop unpleasant emotions and thoughts” (a = 0.92) “used problem-focused coping” (a = 0.71), Self-efficacy on diabetes problem solving (a = 0.74) and “get support from friends and family” (a = 0.67) were approved explicitly by a psychometric analysis;these show that the scale was slightly valid and reliable on the study setting. An intraclass correlation coefficient was satisfactory (p < 0.001). Criterion validity between total scale and metabolic control Index (HbA1c) of type 2 diabetic patients was significant (p < 0.001) and showed indirect correlation with the domains of the scale. Conclusion: Study findings supported the reliability and validity of the Iranian version of new Coping Self-efficacy-24 for measuring Coping Selfefficacy among Iranian type 2 diabetic patients. Based on our finding, we would like to recommend appropriate interventions in the future.

Adenoid hypertrophy associated with high morbidity in children. However, in severe cases surgery recommended, some medical treatments are effective too. This study is based on effect of nasal steroid spray, mometasone, in decreasing upper airway obstruction and other symptoms of adenoid hypertrophy. In a clinical trial study 51 children with adenoid hypertrophy divided in two groups： 2-4 years old and 5-11 years old. Each patient receive nasal momethasone （one puff each nostril twice a day） for 3 months and their symptoms evaluated before treatment, 3 months after treatment initiation and 3 months after stop it with questionnaire and lateral neck radiography. Decreasing in all symptoms score and upper airway obstruction was statistically significant in both groups 3 months after treatment and its effect maybe stable for next 3 months. Nasal momethasone spray is effective in decreasing adenoid size and severity of symptoms of adenoid hypertrophy and this response is more obvious in 2-4 years old children.

晶状体内异物罕见,约占所有眼内异物的5%,并可导致严重的并发症。我们根据晶状体内异物的大小,位置,性质及感染的风险进行相应的处理。本文报告了1例左眼晶状体内金属异物的51岁患者,通过白内障超声乳化术将晶状体摘除并将晶状体内异物取出,然后植入一枚后房型人工晶状体,术后患者获得了良好的视力。

We report a 43-year-old man who presented with a right painful shoulder mass and bilateral lung masses in computed tomography(CT).Scapular mass was excised and pathology report demonstrated high-grade metastatic *** side lung biopsy and histopathological study characterized tuberculosis but biopsy of the left lung lesion identified adenocarcinoma of the *** final diagnosis was right scapular metastatic lesion from left lung *** symptoms are commonly encountered in lung malignancies due to paraneoplastic syndrome or hematogenous metastasis but scapular metastasis on the other side as the presentation of lung cancer is extremely rare.

Determinants of Health-Promoting Behaviors among Type 2 Diabetic Patients: Voice of Iran

Introduction: The aim of this study was to determine Health-Promoting Behaviors among type 2 diabetic mellitus patients. Patients and Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on 440 diabetic patients referred to selected teaching hospitals affiliated to Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) during six months in 2013. A two section 40-items self-report Questionnaire with demographic variables (12 items) and Health-Promoting Behaviors scale (28 items) included exercise (7 items), risk reducing (7 items), life enjoyment (3 items), stress management (5 items), responsibility (3 items) and healthy eating (3 items) domains. Data was analyzed using SPSS software version 11.5. Level of significance was set at p 0.05 level. Results: Mean scores of total health promoting behaviors in participants were (55.88 ± 18.09) and in domains of exercise, risk reducing, life?enjoyment, stress management, responsibility and healthy eating were (8.2 ± 6.5), (12.2 ± 6.1), (7.8 ± 2.6), (12.3 ± 3.8), (3.3 ± 3.1) and (6.9 ± 2.8) respectively. Life enjoyment was emphasized as the most significant domain in health promoting behaviors scale (65 percent). Study results revealed that there was a significant association among total health promoting behavior and age (p = 0.01), occupation (p = 0.01), family income (p p = 0.01) and HbA1C(p < 0.001). Conclusion: Study findings revealed the necessity of tailoring specific intervention programs to promote exercise and responsibility domains posit.

在柔性聚对二甲苯C基底上制作了基于单壁碳纳米管的小型化、高灵敏、反应快速的气体传感器。使用介质电泳集成碳管束,并利用单链脱氧核糖核酸修饰增强器件灵敏度。当传感器暴露在甲醇蒸气中时,会出现明显可重复的反应,它可以检测含量低至4.3×10-6的甲醇,并且在相当宽的体积分数范围有清晰的分辨能力。对于4.3×10-6的含量,未修饰的传感器对应电阻变化率是4.8%;经过脱氧核糖核酸修饰,电阻变化率增加到了12.3%。此外,该传感器还显示了很快的响应速度和很好的测试复验性。研究表明:这种柔性气体传感器在未来环境监测应用中有很好的前景。

First Report of an Outbreak of Contagious Ecthyma in Camels （Camelus dromedarius and Camelus bactrianus） in Iran

Camel contagious ecthyma （CCE） has been reported in Mongolia, Kenya, Somalia and Sudan. CCE is caused by a Parapoxvirus affecting young animals by producing lesions around the lips and nostrils. The generalized form of CCE is uncommon. The aim of this study was to submit the first report of contagious ecthyma in Iran and also to help clinician to diagnose this disease with heavy economic losses easier. In the paper, an outbreak of CCE in dromedary and bactrian camels in Qom province of Iran was described and clinical signs were observed in one camel herd in October 2009. Nodules and scabs from seven affected animals were collected for virus identification. Total extracted DNA was used for polymerase chain reaction （PCR） to amplify a fragment of Parapoxvirus B2L gene. Results showed that camel calves （n = 27） less than one year old and one male bactrian camel were affected （no adult female camels were found to be infected）. The prevalence of the disease in the herd, adult camels and camel calves was 30.33%, 1.5% and 100%, respectively. Affected animals showed the swelling of head with nodular lesion around the lips. It then developed to pustules and fissured crusts. Previous involvement with this disease, history of contact with sheep or goats, food resources and season all can have a role in epidemiology of the disease.

In this study, five hundred urine samples and five hundred blood samples of abusers were examined for the presence of alkaloid substances and abuse drugs in urines and bloods. These numbers of blood and urine samples of addicts in clinics of welfare organization, during detoxification treatment or maintenance treatment were screened for abuse drugs presence. The all of samples were tested through as a view of clinical laboratory methods. Age ranges of female patients were 35 ~ 15 and age range of males patients were 45 ~ 15. All patients filled questionnaire and satisfy forms too. First, all fresh urine and blood samples were examined to confirm presence drugs abuses, depend on their addiction and treatment, so all samples were confirmed by two tests. Then they were examined to other clinical laboratory tests. All data were analyzed by t-test and were Anova one way and two ways of Anova Turkey, and p 〈 0.05 was considered significant. The p-value of this study was p = 0.0001. The results of this study were showed that 4% of abusers had mild increase in hematocrite level and 2% of narcotic drugs abusers had mild lower level of blood sugars than normal range and 4% of participants had increase liver enzymes such ALT （alanine transferase）, AST （aspartat transferase）, ALP （alkaline phosphatease） and 1% of them had renal failure. Although blood level BUN （blood urea nitrogen） and creatinin were examined to evaluation of their renal failure .The results in Tabriz/Iran undrevision of welfare organization clinics were approximately showed that positive results of addiction are in each of urine and blood samples. Because some of abusers directly consumed full long time agonist or partial agonists＇ drugs such as methadone and buprenorphine for their maintenance therapy in clinics. Also doing test on blood samples has high importance in distinguishing and confirmation of drugs abuse in samples. Also in this study we conclude that among all drug analytical methods the cheapest
