Prevalence and associated factors of stress, anxiety and depression among emergency medical officers in Malaysian hospitals

BACKGROUND： Demanding profession has been associated with poor psychological health due to multiple factors such as overworking hours and night shifts. This study is to determine prevalence and associated factors of depression, anxiety and stress among medical officers working at emergency department in Malaysian ***： A cross-sectional study was conducted on 140 emergency department medical officers working at general hospitals from seven Malaysia regions. They were randomly selected and their depression, anxiety and stress level were measured by the 21-item Depression, Anxiety, Stress Scale. RESULTS： The highest prevalence was anxiety （28.6%） followed by depression （10.7%） and stress （7.9%）. Depression, anxiety and stress between seven hospitals were not significantly different （P〉0.05）. Male medical officers significantly experienced more anxiety symptoms than female medical officers （P=0.0022）, however depression and stress symptoms between male and female medical officers were not signi？ cantly different （P〉0.05）. Depression, anxiety and stress were not associated with age, working experience, ethnicity, marital status, number of shifts and type of system adopted in different hospitals （P〉0.05）. CONCLUSION： The prevalence of anxiety was high, whereas for depression and stress were considerably low. Gender was the only factor significantly associated with anxiety. Other factors were not associated with depression, anxiety and stress. Future research should aim to gain better understanding on unique factors that affect female and male medical officers’ anxiety level in emergency setting, thus guide authorities to chart strategic plans to remedy this condition.

This paper proposes a new dielectric resonator antenna(DRA)design that can generate circularly polarized(CP)triple-band *** CP DRA antenna fed by a probe feed system is achieved with metal strips structure on side of DRA *** design start with conventional rectangular DRA with F shaped metal strips on DRA structure alongside the ***,the F metal strip is enhanced by extending the length of the metal strip to obtain wider impedance *** improvement on the antenna performance is observed by improvised the conventional DRA *** method of removing part of DRA bottom resulted to higher antenna gain with triple band *** primary features of the proposed DRA include wide impedance matching bandwidth(BW)and broadband circular polarization(CP).The primary features of the proposedDRAinclude wide impedance matching bandwidth(BW)and broadband circular polarization(CP).The CP BW values recorded by the proposed antenna were∼11.27%(3.3–3.65 GHz),12.18%(4.17–4.69 GHz),and 1.74%(6.44–6.55 GHz)for impedance-matching BW values of 35.4%(3.3–4.69 GHz),1.74%(5.36–5.44 GHz),and 1.85%(6.41–6.55 GHz)with peak gains of 6.8 dBic,7.6 dBic,and 8.5 dBic,respectively,in the lower,central,and upper *** prototype of the proposed antenna geometry was fabricated and measured.A good agreement was noted between the simulated and the measured results.

在全球范围内,低水的可利用性一直被视为主要的一个非生物环境因素,限制植物生长和作物生产。干旱与水资源短缺作为一个最大的逆境因子,对植物的正常生长和生态系统生产力产生影响。水分胁迫的适应是从胁迫信号感知、传导及由基因表达所调节的代谢变化的一系列复杂反应机制结果。在干旱胁迫时,植物在整个植株、细胞和分子水平上表现出广泛的适应性反应。在整个植株水平上,干旱的结果通常表现为植物光合作用效率和生长速度下降。光合活性的降低由几个协同事件导致,如植物气孔关闭和光合作用相关酶活性的降低等。植物水分胁迫的适应性是许多不同生理生化机制的结果。水分胁迫对植物的影响程度是由胁迫强度、持续时间以及遗传决定的特定物种应对环境胁迫的能力所决定的。芦竹(Arundo donax)作为一种普遍被记载,具有深厚的根系系统的物种,在相对干旱和缺水环境条件下,具有一定的适应性。然而,目前关于芦竹在水资源短缺和干旱环境下的生长状况的研究相对缺乏。可以假设缺水影响芦竹生长是由芦竹生长和快速覆盖单位紊乱导致。为了研究这一假说,在水分控制条件下,通过芦竹生长试验,研究芦竹的生理生化反应、地上和地下部分变化。作为具有深根系统的芦竹,可能是在沙漠区种植,进行植被恢复的理想候选物种。作为正在进行的关于芦竹适应性研究的一部分,本试验研究了在不同灌溉水平下,芦竹光合效率、叶绿素荧光、植株生长高度、叶片数、茎粗和地下部分(根系)生长情况等。研究表明,在低灌溉用水条件下,芦竹对于逆境具有一定的耐受性。据研究结果,我们建议应用芦竹这一物种作为在干旱沙漠地区植被恢复、荒漠变绿洲的植物。本研究比较分析了不同水分灌溉条件下,芦竹的生理生化反应。为了更好地了解芦竹对于水分和干旱胁迫的耐受性,还需要进一步的研究来阐明芦竹在干旱胁迫下的适应机理。

This article presents the generation of Orbital AngularMomentum(OAM)vortex waves with mode 1 using Uniform Circular Array(UCA)*** different designs,namely,UCA-1(4-element array antenna)and UCA-2(8-element array antenna),were designed and fabricated using FR-4 substrate to generate OAM mode 1 at 3.5 GHz(5G mid-band).The proposed antenna arrays comprised rectangular microstrip patch elements with inset fed *** elements were excited by a carefully designed feeding phase shift network to provide similar output energy at output ports with desired phase shift *** generated OAM waves were confirmed by measuring the null in the bore sight of their 2D radiation patterns,simulated phase distribution and intensity *** measurement results agree well with the simulation ***,a detailed mode purity analysis of the generated OAM waves was carried out considering different *** investigation found that the greater the number of elements,the higher the purity of the generated OAM *** with other previous works,the proposed antenna design of this paper is very simple to design and *** addition,the proposed antennas are compact in design even at lower frequency band with very wide bandwidth to meet the requirements of 5G mid-band applications.

New requirements in communication technologies make it imperative to rehash conventional features such as reconfigurable antennas to adapt with the future adaptability *** paper presents a comprehensive review of reconfigurable antennas,specifically in terms of radiation patterns for adaptation in the upcoming Fifth Generation(5G)New Radio frequency *** represent the key of antenna technology for materializing a high rate transmission,increased spectral and energy efficiency,reduced interference,and improved the beam steering and beam shaping,thereby land a great promise for planar antennas to boost the mid-band *** review begins with an overview of the underlying principals in reconfiguring radiation patterns,followed by the presentations of the implemented innovative antenna topologies to suit particular advanced *** various adaptation techniques of radiation pattern reconfigurable planar antennas and the understanding of its antenna design approaches has been investigated for its radiation pattern enhancement.A variety of design configurations have also been critically studied for their compatibilities to be operated in the midband communication *** review provides new insights on pattern reconfigurable antenna where such antennas are categorized as beam steering antenna and beamshaping antennas where the operation modes and purposes are clearly *** review also revealed that for mid-band 5G communication,the commonly used electronic switching such as PIN diodes have sufficient isolation loss to provide the required beam performance.

The essential purpose of radar is to detect a target of interest and provide information concerning the target’s location,motion,size,and other *** knowledge about the pulse trains’properties shows that a class of signals is mainly well suited to digital processing of increasing practical importance.A low autocorrelation binary sequence(LABS)is a complex combinatorial *** main problems of LABS are low Merit Factor(MF)and shorter length ***,the maximum possible MF equals 12.3248 as infinity length is unable to be ***,this study implemented two techniques to propose a new metaheuristic algorithm based on Hybrid Modified Sine Cosine Algorithm with Cuckoo Search Algorithm(HMSCACSA)using Inverse Filtering(IF)and clipping method to achieve better *** proposed algorithms,LABS-IF and HMSCACSA-IF,achieved better results with two large MFs equal to 12.12 and 12.6678 for lengths 231 and 237,respectively,where the optimal solutions belong to the skew-symmetric *** MF outperformed up to 24.335%and 2.708%against the state-of-the-art LABS heuristic algorithm,xLastovka,and Golay,*** results indicated that the proposed algorithm’s simulation had quality solutions in terms of fast convergence curve with better optimal means,and standard deviation.

High Frequency Oscillator Design Using a Single 45 nm CMOS Current Controlled Current Conveyor (CCCII+) with Minimum Passive Components

In the field of analog VLSI design, current conveyors have reasonably established their identity as an important circuit design element. In the literature published during the past few years, numerous application have been reported which are based on a variety of current conveyors. In this paper, an oscillator circuit has been proposed. This oscillator is designed using a single positive type second generation current controlled current conveyor (CCCII+). A CCCII has parasitic input resistance on it’s current input node. This resistance could be exploited to reduce circuit complexities. Thus in this accord, a novel oscillator circuit is proposed which utilizes the parasitic resistance of the CCCII+ along with a few more passive components.

Low Temperature Growth of Vertically Aligned Carbon Nanotubes via Floating Catalyst Chemical Vapor Deposition Method

Synthesis of carbon nanotubes （CNTs） below 600℃ using supporting catalyst chemical vapor deposition method was reported by many research groups. However, the floating catalyst chemical vapor deposition received less attention due to imperfect nanotubes produced. In this work, the effects of varying the preheating temperature on the synthesis of CNT were investigated. The reaction temperature was set at 570℃. The preheating set temperature was varied from 150 to 400℃ at 50℃ interval. Three O-ring shape heating mantels were used as heating source for the preheater. In situ monitoring device was used to observe the temperature profile in the reactor. Benzene and ferrocene were used as the carbon source and catalyst precursor, respectively. Vertically aligned CNTs were synthesized when the preheating temperature was set at 400℃. When the preheating temperature was increased up to 400℃, both the length and the alignment of CNTs produced were improved.
