Evaluation of novel Chitosan Based Composites Coating on Wettability for Pure Titanium Implants

This work aims to prepare chitosan(CS)-based coated layers,CS(10 wt%nanosilver/90 wt%CS,10 wt%biotin/90 wt%CS,and 5 wt%nanosilver–5 wt%biotin)/90 wt%CS coatings are prepared,onto pure Ti *** surface morphology of the novel CS composite coating was studied using field emission scanning electron microscopy,atomic force microscopy(AFM),Fourier transforms infrared(FTIR)and wettability *** show that the addition of(biotin,nanosilver)5 Vol.%improves the properties of composite *** different particles’scale size aid in improving the combinations in the alginate,producing a dual effect on film *** surface roughness decreased in the chitosan-based biocomposite with preferable homogeneity and crack-free coating layers,as confirmed by *** increase in surface roughness ensured substitution,which enhanced the surface *** high wettability of the CS-based coating layers was due to the presence of nanoparticles,and the composite coatings with CS,nanosilver,or biotin had excellent wettability because of the good hydrophilic nature of the CS matrix combined with reinforced *** FTIR results showed that peaks of the blending of CS plus nanoparticles,CS plus biotin,or CS plus nanosilver plus biotin were excellent matching with no changes in the structure of the matrix.

The sandstones of the Late miocene–Pliocene Dibdibba Formation in the najaf–Karbala Plateau and Basra were examined to determine their source rocks and origin. The rare earth elements(REE) and trace elements(Sc, Co, V, and Th) concentrations in these sandstones revealed that they likely derived from a single source. The steep light rare earth elements(LREE) and flat, heavy rare earth element(HREE) patterns, negative Eu anomaly, and high ΣREE contents in sandstones suggest its derivation from a suggests that a passive continen.al margin environment and originated from felsic source rocks. The average concentration of ΣREE is 93.5 ppm, which is lower than that of the average crustal compositions like Upper Continen.al Crust and Post Archean Australian Shale. The higher proportion of LREE compared to HREE implies that these sandstones were recycled and derived from a distal source. The Th/Co, Th/Sc, La/Sc, La/Co, Eu/Eu*and(La/Lu)cn elemen.al ratios indicated that these Late Miocene–Pliocene sandstones were derived from felsic rocks located in the marginal region of the Arabian Shield.

Simulation of Liquid Argon Flow along a nanochannel： Effect of Applied Force

Liquid argon flow along a nanochannel is studied using molecular dynamics (MD) simulation in this ***-scale Atomic/Molecular Massively Parallel Simulator (LAMMPS) is used as the MD *** effects of reduced forces at 0.5,1.0 and 2.0 on argon flow on system energy in the form of system potential energy,pressure and velocity profile are *** in the form of three-dimensional visualization of the system at steady-state condition using Visual Molecular Dynamics (VMD) is provided to describe the dynamics of the argon *** equilibrium state is reached after 16000 time *** effects on system energy,pressure and velocity profile due to reduced force of 2.0 (F2) are clearly distinguishable from the other two lower forces where sufficiently high net force along the direction of the nanochannel for F2 renders the attractive and repulsive forces between the argon atoms virtually non-existent.A reduced force of 0.5 (F0.5) provides liquid argon flow that approaches Poiseuille (laminar) flow as clearly shown by the n-shaped average velocity *** extension of the present MD model to a more practical application affords scientists and engineers a good option for simulation of other nanofluidic dynamics processes.

Local Geoid Model Generation Using the Geometrical Approach

The global navigation satellite systems(GnSS)provide an accurate three-dimensional positioning including the geodetic(ellipsoidal)height(h),which is,in most cases,must be transformed to the local/regional orthometric height(H)to have physically the desired meaning of the elevation above the national vertical datum(e.g.,MSL(Mean Sea Level)).Usually,the local orthometric heights are determined based on the value of geoid undulation(n),which is obtained by methods of gravimetrical observations or derived by methods of interpolation utilizing the local geoid models(LGM).The current paper highlights one of the methods of generating LGM that is based on the geometrical relationship between the global datum WGS84 and the Iraqi datum Karbala *** DGPS(Differential GPS)method is used to get the geodetic coordinates of about 97 selected points to cover the experimen.al area,within the boundaries of Erbil municipality,which has been partitioned into four ***,four LGM were generated individually for each one of the four parts with an estimated uncertainty equal to±0.076 m.

跟腱疾病通常是由于过度劳损造成的,常发生于体育运动、繁重体力劳动等场合,呈逐年递增趋势。肌腱损伤常常不能自愈,治疗这一运动疾病需要生物工程学家的参与。本研究设计了一种新的、精确易用的冷冻夹具,解决了以往肌腱损伤修复基础研究中力学测试困难的困境。该冷冻夹具通过液氮将预冷的肌肉在力学测试过程中保持在冷冻状态,从而解决了拉伸测试过程中肌肉/肌腱的相对滑移和应力集中问题。该夹具还设计了一个生理盐水浴环境,从而使整个测试过程很好的模拟了生理环境,保证了体外测试数据能真实体现体内生理状况。本研究以大鼠跟腱为对象,利用设计的冷冻夹具进行拉伸测试。共20个待测试样,随机分为4组,分别测试不同预冷方法、样品拉伸环境、夹具移动速度下跟腱的力学特性。具体分组和测试方法如下：A组,将样品放置-20℃冷冻1周,生理盐水浴环境拉伸,夹具移动速度为10mm/min;B组,将样品放置液氮速冻1分钟,生理盐水浴环境拉伸,夹具移动速度10mm/min;C组,将样品放置液氮速冻1分钟,室温（25℃）空气环境拉伸,夹具移动速度10mm/min;D组,将样品放置液氮速冻1分钟,室温（25℃）空气环境拉伸,夹具移动速度500mm/min。记录力-位移曲线,本研究获取了4组样品的最大断裂力、断裂点最大位移、杨氏模量,结果分别如下：A组,119.2±25n,1.868±0.174mm,264.64±108.78MPa;B组,90.5±13n,3.6838±0.8825mm,66.926±24.743MPa;C组,70±20n,2.966±1.279mm,86.822±27.915MPa;D组,53±10n,2.130±0.719mm,38.078±9.765MPa。结果经过统计分析表明：-20℃冷冻1周和液氮速冻1分钟的样品处理方式最大断裂力无显著差异,生理盐水浴的拉伸环境最大断裂力显著大于室温（25℃）空气环境,夹具移动速度在低速（10mm/min）和高速（500mm/min）时最大断裂力无显著差异,但低速时断裂点最大位移更均一。
