Software testing is an important and cost intensive activity in software *** major contribution in cost is due to test case ***-based testing is an approach in which test cases are derivative from requirements without considering the implementation’s internal ***-based testing includes functional and nonfunctional *** objective of this study is to explore the approaches that generate test cases from requirements.A systematic literature review based on two research questions and extensive quality assessment criteria includes *** study identies 30 primary studies from 410 studies spanned from 2000 to *** review’s nding shows that 53%of journal papers,42%of conference papers,and 5%of book chapters’address requirementsbased *** of the studies use UML,activity,and use case diagrams for test case generation from *** of the signicant lessons learned is that most software testing errors are traced back to errors in natural language requirements.A substantial amount of work focuses on UML diagrams for test case generations,which cannot capture all the system’s developed ***,there is a lack of UML-based models that can generate test cases from natural language requirements by rening them in *** criteria indicate how efciently the testing has been performed 12.37%of studies use requirements coverage,20%of studies cover path coverage,and 17%study basic coverage.

Reproductive disturbances among Saudi adolescent girls and young women with type 1 diabetes mellitus

AIM To identify reproductive disturbances among adolescent girls and young women with type 1 diabetes mellitus(T1 DM) in Saudi *** This cross sectional study was conducted among 102 female with T1 DM,(aged 13-29 years) who attended the Diabetes Clinic at Diabetes Treatment Center, Prince Sultan Military Medical City, Saudi Arabia between April 2015 to March 2016. Clinical history, anthropometric characteristics and reproductive disturbance were collected through a *** Of 102 patients included in this analysis, 26.5%(27/102) were reported that they experienced an irregular menses. Of these patients, when compared to whose diabetes was diagnosed before menarche(35.4%, 17/48), patients diagnosed with diabetes after menarche(18.5%, 10/54) showed significantly less irregular menses(difference 16.9%, P = 0.04). Similarly, compared to patients diagnosed with diabetes prior to menarche(mean age 12.9 years; n = 48), patients diagnosed with diabetes after menarche(meanage 12.26 years; n = 54) were found to have 0.64 years delay in the age of menarche(P = 0.04). Among the studied patients, 15.7%(16/102) had polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS). Of these PCOS patients, 37.5%(6/16) had irregular menses, 6.3%(1/16) had Celiac disease, 37.5%(6/16) had Hashimoto thyroiditis and 18.7%(3/16) had *** More than one fourth of the study population with T1 DM experiencing an irregular menses. Adolescent girls and young women diagnosed with diabetes prior to menarche showed higher menstrual irregularity and a delay in the age of menarche.

Mesoporous nitrogen-doped titania(TON)anatase phase photocatalysts were successfully prepared using sol-gel and solvent evaporation induced self-assembly(SEISA)***(DDA)and diethylenetriamine(DETA)were used as surfactants for endowing mesoporosity,complexing agents,base catalysts for polymerizing titania source(titanium isopropoxide),and sources for nitrogen *** was found that the titania source and the amount of DDA and DETA influenced strongly the textural[specific surface area(SBET),pore volume,and pore size],optical[UV-Vis absorbance and band gap energy(Eg)],morpholoical properties,and photocatalytic activity of TON photocatalysts.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy study revealed the presence of substitutional and interstitial oxidized nitrogen *** TON photocatalysts showed superiority in degrading methylene blue(MB)dye than the commercially-available Fluka titania anatase phase catalyst under visilbe irradiation between 400 nm and 800 *** photocatalyst with the highest SBET and the smallest Eg exhibited the fastest rate for the photodegradation of MB.

Screening for variants in the <i>MUTYH</i>gene in Saudis

MUTYH is a base excision repair glycosylase responsible for correcting the G:A mismatches that arise from replication of a damaged DNA, such impairment results from attacks by reactive oxygen species that are produced from different sources including cigarette smoking. The produced reactive oxygen species trigger the oxidation of guanine in to 8-oxo-G and the latter mispairs with adenine. Alterations in the MUTYH gene can affect its glycosylase function and hence the DNA repair capacity that is tightly linked to cancer development. Defects in the MUTYH were found to be associated with predisposition to colorectal cancer;the third most common cancer in the world. Although some studies suggested the existence of an ethnic differentiation among MUTYH mutations, there are no documented reports regarding this gene in Saudi cases or controls so far. 153 healthy Saudi individuals including smokers were screened for the IVS1 + 5 G/C, V22M, Y165C, R231C, H324Q and G382D MUTYH variants using either ARMS or RFLP or direct sequencing. Allelic frequencies were calculated and were found to be as follows: IVS1 + 5 G/C = 1/0, V22M = 0.99/0.01, Y165C = 1/0, R231C = 1/0, H324Q = 0.29/0.71 and G382D = 0.997/0.003. Comparison of the allele frequencies between Saudis and other populations revealed a significant difference between the Saudis and Europeans for the V22M (p-value: 0.0003, OR: 5.899, 95% CI: 1.999 - 17.408);and between the Saudis and Asians for the H324Q (p-value: MUTYH variants in Saudi populations and support the existence of an ethnic difference between MUTYH variants which is beneficial as some MUTYH common polymorphisms in certain populations may correlate with disease predisposition in other rare populations.

Apoptosis plays a central role in the pathogenesis of a number of human diseases. Because apoptosis represents a fundamental process in the response to such infections, it may represent a therapeutic target for their treatment. There is thus likely to be future clinical relevance in harnessing our growing knowledge both of apoptotic mechanisms, and their regulation, in the search to achieve modalities for therapeutic benefit. This brief review aims to summarize what we currently know about the role of apoptosis in response to a range of microbial infections (including bacterial and viral).

Framework to Classify and Analyze Social Media Content

In the last decade, a large amount of data has been published in different fields and can be used as a data source for research and study. However, identifying a specific type of data requires processing, which involves machine learning classifying techniques. To facilitate this, we propose a general framework that can be applied to any social media content to develop an intelligent system. The framework consists of three main parts: an interface, classifier and ana-lyzer. The analyzer uses media recognition to identify specific features. Then, the classifier uses these features and involves them in the classification process. The interface organizes the interaction between the system compo-nents. We tested the framework and developed a system to be applied to im-age-based social media networks (Instagram). The system was implemented as a mobile application (My Interests) that works as a recommendation and filtering system for Instagram users and reduces the time they spend on irre-levant information. It analyzes the images, categorizes them, identifies the in-teresting ones, and finally, reports the results. We used the Cloud Vision API as a tool to analyze the images and extract their features. Furthermore, we adapted support vector machine (SVM), a machine learning method, to classify images and to predict the preferred ones.

A country’s economy heavily depends on agricultural ***,due to several plant diseases,crop growth rate and quality are highly *** identification of these diseases via a manual procedure is very challenging and time-consuming because of the deficiency of domain experts and low-contrast ***,the agricultural management system is searching for an automatic early disease detection *** this end,an efficient and lightweight Deep Learning(DL)-based framework(E-GreenNet)is proposed to overcome these problems and precisely classify the various *** the end-to-end architecture,a MobileNetV3Smallmodel is utilized as a backbone that generates refined,discriminative,and prominent ***,the proposed model is trained over the PlantVillage(PV),Data Repository of Leaf Images(DRLI),and a new Plant Composite(PC)dataset individually,and later on test samples,its actual performance is *** extensive experimental analysis,the proposed model obtained 1.00%,0.96%and 0.99%accuracies on all three included ***,the proposed method achieves better inference speed when compared with other State-Of-The-Art(SOTA)*** addition,a comparative analysis is conducted where the proposed strategy shows tremendous discriminative scores as compared to the various pretrained models and other Machine Learning(ML)and DL methods.

Evaluation of Infection Prevention and Control Programmes (IPC), and Assessment Tools for IPC-Programmes at MOH-Health Facilities in Saudi Arabia

Infection Prevention and Control is a Quality Standard and is crucial in all health care facilities. Many hospitals remain deficient in trained infection control professionals (ICPs), and now there is an acute awareness of the need to correct this shortfall. The objectives of the study were to describe the current status of ICP programs at ministry of health (MOH) and to evaluate the current status of infection prevention and control programs at health care facilities in kingdom of Saudi Arabia. A cross sectional interview and a self assessment study were conducted on infection prevention and control (IPC) program in Saudi Arabia. All the MOH hospital in all regions was randomly chosen to the study setting. The selection of facilities was done at random with a clear intention to include twenty regions. A random sample was taken from these hospitals with sample size 56 (55.4%), by Multi stage random sampling technique. Results showed that the total facility in all over the kingdom was 51.4% where central area covered the facility score 58.2%, followed by western area (54.8%), south (53.7%), east (46.3%), and lastly with (45.8%) north area. Survey revealed that the infrastructure for infection control program in Saudi Arabian hospitals remained underdeveloped. There were defects in the identified components of effective infection control programs.

Clinical Outcomes Associated with Use of Subcutaneous Sliding Scale Insulin Compared to Other Insulin Regimens in Hospitalized Patients

Background: Hyperglycemia in hospitalized patients is managed through one of the following approaches: sliding scale insulin (SSI) alone;SSI plus long-acting insulin and basal-bolus insulin (BBI). The optimal insulin treatment regimen is still debated. Objectives: To evaluate the clinical outcomes associated with the use of SSI compared to other regimens. Setting: The general medical wards in King Abdulaziz Medical City, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Methods: Medical charts for adult patients admitted between October 2014-December 2015 with type 2 diabetes or uncontrolled hyperglycemia with insulin treatment were reviewed. Data from capillary blood glucose were measured daily for the first 5 days of hospitalization and recorded. Demographics and blood glucose levels were compared by group using one-way ANOVA or Chi-square test. The number of hyperglycemic/hypoglycemic episodes was analyzed using the Kruskal-Wallis test. Results: A total of 240 patients were included. The three insulin regimen groups were not statistically different in terms of the number of days with episodes of hyper- or hypoglycemia (p > 0.05). However, a significantly bigger change from baseline (improvement) in random blood glucose (RBG) levels was observed in BBI and SSI plus glargine patients compared to SSI (p = 0.014). Conclusion: Our study showed no significant difference in the number of days with episodes of hyper- or hypoglycemia for SSI vs. other insulin regimens. However, SSI patients had less improvement in their RBG levels compared to other insulin regimen groups. Further studies with a larger sample size are needed to confirm these findings.

Irritable Bowel Syndrome among Medical and Non-Medical Northern Border University Students, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: Across Sectional Study

Background: Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is a common functional gastrointestinal disorder (FGID), characterized by abdominal pain or discomfort and alteration in bowel habits. Aim of the study: To determine the overall prevalence, prevalence of each type and risk factors of IBS among Northern Border University (NBU) students, Arar, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Material and methods: We use cross sectional, descriptive study with multistage cluster probability sample. Using Rome III criteria questionnaire of IBS;which is a self-administrated consists of ten questions assessing the current status of an apparently normal person. The questionnaire is administrated to Northern Border University students. Results: A total of 228 University students of them, 94 (41.2%) males and 134 (58.8%) females were included in the study. The overall prevalence of IBS according to Rome III criteria in northern border University was (32.5%). The disease prevalence was 33.6% in females and 30.9% in males. Among the study participants, the most common type of IBS was the mixed one 12.7%, followed by the constipation predominant type 10.5%, then the diarrhea pre-dominant type 5.7% while the least common was unsubtyped cases (3.5%). Statistically significant increase in prevalence of this disease was found among female students (60.8% vs. 39.2% in males) (p-value < 0.05), the students who experienced psychic stress and irritability (79.7%) (p-value < 0.05) and students who were obese (p-value < 0.001). Conclusion: The results of this study concluded the prevalence rate of 32.5% for IBS among the students studying in Northern Border University. Stress and high body mass index were significantly associated with IBS. In addition, this study concluded that IBS was not significantly associated with socio-demographic characteristics and smoking.
