Navigating the hydrogen prospect:A comprehensive review of sustainable source-based production technologies,transport solutions,advanced storage mechanisms,and CCUS integration

Climate change and finger millet: Perception, trend and impact on yield in different ecological regions in Central Nepal

The views of local people on climate change along different ecological regions are relatively unexplored in Nepal. This study was conducted in 13 villages in central Nepal at different altitudes to document the views of small holder farmers and compare their perception with trends of climatic variables, finger millet yield, natural disasters, plant phenology(flowering and fruiting), status of forest and wild life, as well as the spread of diseases and pests. Analysis on the climatic data of stations for 36-41 years between 1975 and 2016 showed significant increases in the minimum temperature in lower tropical climatic region(<500 m), upper tropical to subtropical climatic region(500-2000 m) and temperate climatic region(2000-3000 m) by 0.01, 0.026 and 0.054℃/year, respectively, and an increase of maximum temperature by 0.008, 0.018, and 0.019℃/year, respectively. Rainfall showed a strongly significant decreasing trend in all elevation regions. This result matches with the views of respondents except 38% respondent from temperate climatic region. People from the temperate climatic region also mentioned that current onset of snowfall is delayed but amount of snowfall remained the same. From the documented records, except events of wild fire, frequency of natural disasters events have increased in the recent years, which was in harmony with the views of local people. Multi-linear regression analysis showed that contribution of climatic variables on finger millet yield in lower tropical climatic region and upper tropical to subtropical regions was 23% and 57.3%, respectively, which was supported by increasing trend on average growing degree day(GDD) temperature at the rate of 0.01℃ in upper tropical to subtropical region and 0.007℃ in lower tropical climatic region yearly. Finger millet yield has been increasing at the rate of 7.39 and 36.9 kg/ha yearly in lower tropical climatic region and upper tropical to subtropical climatic region, respectively. Hybridization of graphene-reinforced two polymer nanocomposites

This article focuses on the hybridization of thermoplastic polymer matrices with conducting polymers and graphene ***(PP),polymethylmethacrylate(PMMA)and polyox-ymethylene(POM)were used as primary polymer matrices and polypyrrole(PPY)and polyaniline(PANI)as secondary conducting *** conductive-reduced graphene oxide(rGO)and graphene(G)have been used as reinforcements.A Taguchi analy-sis has been performed for the blends to find the optimal combi-nation of the blends with respect to electrical conductivity(σ)and mechanical *** electrical and mechanical properties were improved by the hybridization *** maximum elec-trical conductivity of 0.85 ***^(−1) has been acquired with POM/PPY/G blend with 3 wt.%and 5 wt.%of PPY and graphene load-ing,*** mechanical properties have been found to improve with all the blends but,PP/PPY/G blend with 3 wt.%and 6 wt.%of PPY and graphene loading displays overall better prop-erties in comparison with other blends.

Structural, Thermal, Linear and Nonlinear Optical Studies on New NLO Crystal∶DL-Threonium Trichloroacetate

Crystals of DL-threonium trichloroacetate (DLTTCA) was synthesized from an aqueous solution by slow evaporation technique. The grown crystals were characterized by X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, UV-Vis-NIR and SHG measurements. Vibrational structure of the crystal was elucidated from FTIR analysis and the hydrogen bond interactions were discussed in detail. The ultraviolet transparent cutoff falls at 212 nm. Thermal stability of the compound was also studied. The powder SHG efficiency of the compound was measured as 0.62 times to that of KDP.

Synchronous occurrence of adenocarcinoma and mucosa associated lymphoid tissue(MALT) lymphoma of colon is rare,and its presence with coexisting tuberculosis is still *** our knowledge,this may be the first case *** the present report,we describe a 43-year-old female who presented with a history of abdominal pain,fever,loss of weight and loss of *** showed a large ulceroproliferative mass arising from the caecum,biopsy of which showed it to be adenocarcinoma of the colon.A right hemicolectomy was performed and microscopic study of the colon revealed tuberculosis and synchronous adenocarcinoma with *** of sixteen lymph nodes showed tuberculosis and three of sixteenpericoloniclymphnodes showed metastatic *** further confirmed the tumour to be adenocarcinoma with MALT *** would like to highlight the diagnostic challenges arising from the multi-faceted presentations of these three conditions.

Effects of Synthetic and Processing Methods on Dispersion Characteristics of Nanoclay in Polypropylene Polymer Matrix Composites

This work presents the effect of synthetic procedures (extrusion and casting) on the dispersion characteristics of nano layered silicate clay particles in the polypropylene (PP) polymer matrix. Three different molecular weights PP samples are taken and filled with nanoclay of 1 wt% and 3 wt%, and these nanocomposites were synthesized by using an extrusion or casting methods. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) is used to characterize the structure and morphology of nanocomposites. Rheological and mechanical results show that the extruded products are better than that of cast products. The outcome of this work is discussed in this paper.

Using Image Analysis for Structural and Mechanical Cha-racterization of Nanoclay Reinforced Polypropylene Com-posites

This paper focuses on the micromechanical study of the tensile property of Polymer-Clay Nanocomposites (PCN). Polypropylene (PP) filled with nanoclay is chosen as the PCN. Measurements of optical dispersion parameters (as discussed by Basu et al., namely, exfoliation number (ξn), degree of dispersions (χ) and agglomerate %) in PCN system were carried out using Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and Optical Microscopy (OM). The experimentally obtained tensile modulus is compared with theoretically obtained modulus values from the optical dispersion parameters and observed a close matching between these values. Also, the tensile values are compared with other standard theoretical models and observed that the results obtained from optical dispersion parameters are suited well with experimental results.
