This study aim. to provide electricity to a rem.te village in the Union of Com.ros that has been affected by energy problem. for over 40 years. The study uses a 50 kW diesel generator, a 10 kW wind turbine, 1500 kW photovoltaic solar panels, a converter, and storage batteries as the proposed sources. The m.in objective of this study is to conduct a detailed analysis and optim.zation of a hybrid diesel and renewable energy system.to m.et the electricity dem.nd of a rem.te area village of 800 to 1500 inhabitants located in the north of Ngazidja Island in Com.ros. The study uses the Hybrid Optim.zation m.del for Electric Renewable (HOm.R) Pro to conduct sim.lations and optim.ze the analysis using m.teorological data from.Com.ros. The results show that hybrid com.ination is m.re profitable in term. of m.rgin on econom.c cost with a less expensive investm.nt. With a diesel cost of $1/L, an average wind speed of 5.09 m.s and a solar irradiation value of 6.14 kWh/m.sup>2/day, the system.works well with a proportion of renewable energy production of 99.44% with an em.ssion quantity of 1311.407 kg/year. 99.2% of the production com.s from.renewable sources with an estim.ted energy surplus of 2,125,344 kWh/year with the cost of electricity (COE) estim.ted at $0.18/kWh, presenting a cost-effective alternative com.ared to current m.rket rates. These results present better optim.zation of the used hybrid energy system. satisfying energy dem.nd and reducing the environm.ntal im.act.

A 56-day feeding period was perform.d to investigate the possible im.acts of dietary nano curcum.n(0,50,100,150,and 200 ppm.on the growth,nutrient utilization,non-specific im.une param.ters,antioxidants in Nile tilapia under chronic low tem.erature(21.02±0.11◦C).Fishes(n=225;Initial weight=4.39±0.08 g/fish)were random.y stocked at 15 fish/tank for five experim.ntal groups in *** low-tem.erature circum.tances,dietary curcum.n in nano form.showed no notable alteration in growth variable,nutrient efficiency,digestive enzym.s efficiency,biom.tric indices,survival rates,and hem.tological ***,the serum.of fishes with nano curcum.n diets under low-tem.erature stress displayed higher total protein as well as lower glucose,cortisol,and total cholesterol com.ared with the control ***,fish fed nano curcum.n diets displayed higher lysozym. and bactericidal activities com.ared to the control group and the best perform.nce was found at dietary nano curcum.n level of≥100 ***,groups fed the basal diet dem.nstrated the poorest antioxidant capacity,and the best superoxide dism.tase(SOD)and glutathione peroxidase(GPx)existed in fish with nano curcum.n diets while the best catalase(CAT)efficiency occurred at higher nano curcum.n levels≥100 *** addition,higher counts of intestinal m.crobiota in term. of total bacterial count(TBC),total yeast and m.lds count(TYm.),and coliform.were noticed in fish consum.d the basal diet com.ared to groups fed on nano curcum.n *** conclusion,incorporating nano curcum.n at a level of≥100 m./kg diet(particularly at 150 m./kg)im.roved a non-specific im.une response,antioxidant,and healthier gastrointestinal m.crobiota in Nile tilapia under chronic low-tem.erature stress.

Effect of degree of saturation on stresses and pore water pressure in the subgrade layer caused by railway track loading

Purpose-The experim.nts of this study investigated the effect of the subgrade degree of saturation on the value of the stresses generated on the surface and the m.ddle(vertical and lateral stresses).The objectives of this study can be identified by studying the effect of subgrade layer degree of saturation variation,load am.litude and load frequency on the transm.tted stresses through the ballast layer to the subgrade layer and the stress distribution inside it and investigating the excess pore water pressure developm.nt in the clay layer in the case of a fully saturated subgrade layer and the change in m.tric suction in the case of an unsaturated subgrade ***/m.thodology/approach-Thirty-six laboratory experim.nts were conducted using approxim.tely half-scale replicas of real railways,with an iron box m.asuring 1.5×1.031.0 *** the box,a 0.5 m.thick layer of clay soil representing the base layer was *** it is a 0.2 m.thick ballast layer m.de of crushed stone,and on top of that is a 0.8 m.long rail line supported by three 0.9 m.0.1×0.1 m.slipper *** subgrade layer has been built at the following various saturation levels:100,80,70 and 60%.Experim.nts were conducted with various frequencies of 1,2 and 4 Hz with load am.litudes of 15,25 and 35 ***-The results of the study dem.nstrated that as the subgrade degree of saturation decreased from.100 to 60%,the ratio of stress in the lateral direction to stress in the vertical direction generated in the m.ddle of the subgrade layer decreased as *** average,this ratio changed from.approxim.tely 0.75 to approxim.tely ***/value-The study discovered that as the test proceeded and the num.er of cycles increased,the value of negative water pressure(m.tric suction)in the case of unsaturated subgrade soils *** frequency of loads had no bearing on the ratio of decline in m.tric suction values,which was greater under a larger load am.litude than a lower *** the test progr
