The current article communicates a numerical investigation on laminar flow of dissipative generalized Newtonian Carreau nanofluid flowing through vertical conduit with converging and diverging plane *** and concentration characteristics due to enthalpy change,activation energy,and non-linear thermal radiation have been examined in the presence of buoyancy *** channel walls for both temperature and volumetric fraction are assumed to be *** instability mechanism of nanofluids is reported using a two-phase nanofluid model,which works reasonably well for nanoparticle concentrations below a certain threshold.A Jeffery-hamel(J-h)flow model is developed by assuming an incompressible purely radial flow of Carreau nanofluids with heat and mass *** the suitable non-dimensional variables,the resulting nonlinear partial differential equations are turned into a system of ordinary differential *** modified governing equations are then numerically solved using the built-in boundary value problem solver bvp4c,on the template form of commercial software *** impacts of material,geometrical and thermophysical parameters governing the J-h problem are discussed and *** indicate that higher buoyance forces incline the velocity profiles in converging enclosure,while a slight reduction is perceived in opposing forces.A significant decrease of wall heat transmission is reflected for larger values of activation energy and radiation *** endorsing this communication,a comparison analysis is established with existing research and noticed a remarkable ***,the flow inside converging and diverging channels are deployed in nuclear reactors that use plate-type nuclear energies,high heat-flux condensed heat exchangers,high-performance micro-electronic cooling systems,jets,rockets nozzles,and jet propulsion inlet.

The Salvadora persica(***)*** stick,usually known as miswak,is still being em-ployed as an oral hygiene agent for plaque and gingivitis *** study aims to assess the antibacterial,antibiofilm,antioxidant,and phytochemical profile of *** *** ***-sica was purchased from a local market,grinded and extracted with petroleum *** disk dif-fusion,microdilution,and micro-plate assays were performed to evaluate the antibacterial and an-tibiofilm activities of the prepared extract at different concentrations against𝛽-lactam resistance Streptococcus *** radical scavenging 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl(DPPh)and stable radical cationic chromophore,2,2-azinobis-(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonate)(ABTS)methods were used to determine their antioxidant *** and spectrometric analyses were performed using gas chromatography-mass(GC-MS)*** minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC)of *** extract against𝛽-lactam resistance Streptococcus species ranged from 6.25 to 12.5 mg/*** maximum suppression of biofilm formation by *** extract was observed at MIC with a percentage of 68.66%,against Streptococcus *** *** ex-tract exhibited antioxidant activity with IC 50 of 20μg/mL and 35μg/mL from DPPh and ABTS,*** phytochemical characterization showed the presence of 22 compounds with ma-jor compounds;benzyl isothiocyanate(36.21%)and n-hexadecanoic acid(27.62%).The *** extract exhibited antibacterial activity against𝛽-lactam resistant Streptococcus species,showing a promising natural alternative that could be a treatment option.

This article aims to assess health habits,safety behaviors,and anxiety factors in the community during the novel coronavirus disease(COVID-19)pandemic in Saudi Arabia based on primary data collected through a questionnaire with 320 *** other words,this paper aims to provide empirical insights into the correlation and the correspondence between sociodemographic factors(gender,nationality,age,citizenship factors,income,and education),and psycho-behavioral effects on individuals in response to the emergence of this new *** focus on the interaction between these variables and their effects,we suggest different methods of analysis,comprising regression trees and support vector machine regression(SVMR)*** to the regression tree results,the age variable plays a predominant role in health habits,safety behaviors,and *** health habit index,which focuses on the extent of behavioral change toward the commitment to use the health and protection methods,is highly affected by gender and age *** average monthly income is also a relevant factor but has contrasting effects during the COVID-19 pandemic *** results of the SVMR model reveal a strong positive effect of income,with R^(2) values of 99.59%,99.93%and 99.88%corresponding to health habits,safety behaviors,and anxiety.

Surface functionalization of blast furnace slag with sulfamic acid(a zwitterion)was performed for the removal of Cr^(3+)and methylene blue dye(MB)from water *** slag functionalization process was optimized using Response Surface Methodology *** analysis of the parameters that include the sulfamic acid amount(A),reaction time(B),and temperature(C)revealed that(A)increase had a negative effect on the adsorption of both pollutants by the zwitterion slag,whereas(B)and(C)increase presented a positive *** the optimum condition of 2 g sulfamic acid amount,50 min reaction time and 37℃ temperature,the prepared slag showed a removal efficiency of more than 90% for both Cr^(3+)and *** characterization by SEM/EDS,FTIR,XPS and surface area analyser,showed an improvement in surface properties and the incorporation of zwitterionic Nh^(2+)and S=O groups of sulfamic *** isotherm and kinetic studies conducted with the zwitterion slag showed the adsorption process was suited to Freundlich isotherm model and pseudo-second-order kinetic *** thermodynamic study conducted revealed the spontaneity of the process based on the calculated negativeΔG(Gibb’s free energy)*** prepared zwitterion slag offered easy regeneration with dilute hCl solution and showed a considerable removal(Cr^(3+):65% and MB:80%)for both pollutants even after 3 cycles of usage.

Phase Change Materials(PCMs)have high thermal inertia,and hemp concrete(hC),a bio-based concrete,has strong hygroscopic *** previous studies,PCM has been extensively combined with many materials,however,most of these studies focused on thermal properties while neglecting hygroscopic *** this study,the two materials have been combined into a building envelope and the related hygrothermal properties have been *** particular,numerical studies have been performed to investigate the temperature and relative humidity behavior inside the hC,and the effect of adding PCM on the hygrothermal behavior of the *** results show that there is a high coupling between temperature and relative humidity inside the hC,since the relative humidity changes on the second and third days are different,with values of 8%and 4%,***,the variation of relative humidity with temperature indicates the dominant influence of temperature on relative humidity *** the presence of PCM,the temperature variation inside the hC is damped due to the high thermal inertia of the PCM,which also leads to suppression of moisture evaporation and thus damping of relative humidity *** the second and third days,the temperature changes at the central position are reduced by 4.6%and 5.1%,compared to the quarter *** the relative humidity change,the reductions are 5.3%and 5.4%on the second and third days,***,PCM,with high thermal inertia,acts as a temperature damper and has the potential to increase the moisture buffering capacity inside the *** makes it possible for such a combined envelope to have both thermal and hygric inertia.

Lithium/Sodium-ion batteries(LIB/SIB)have attracted enormous attention as a promising electrochemical energy storage system due to their high energy density and long cycle *** of the major hurdles is the initial irreversible capacity loss during the first few cycles owing to forming the solid electrolyte interphase layer(SEI).This process consumes a profusion of lithium/sodium,which reduces the overall energy density and cycle ***,a suitable approach to compensate for the irreversible capacity loss must be developed to improve the energy density and cycle ***-lithiation/sodiation is a widely accepted process to compensate for the irreversible capacity loss during the initial *** strategies such as physical,chemical,and electrochemical pre-lithiation/sodiation have been explored;however,these approaches add an extra step to the current manufacturing *** to these strategies,pre-lithiation/sodiation additives have attracted enormous attention due to their easy adaptability and compatibility with the current battery manufacturing *** this review,we consolidate recent developments and emphasize the importance of using pre-lithiation/sodiation additives(anode and cathode)to overcome the irreversible capacity loss during the initial cycles in lithium/sodium-ion *** review also addresses the technical and scientific challenges of using pre-lithiation/sodiation additives and offers the insights to boost the energy density and cycle life with their possible commercial *** most important prerequisites for designing effective pre-lithiation/sodiation additives have been explored and the future directions have been discussed.

The ground state properties of the spherical nucleus ^(40)Ca have been investigated by using constrainedspherical hartree-Fock (CShF) approximation at equilibrium and under high radial compression in a six major *** effective baryon-baryon interaction that includes the Δ(1236) resonance freedom degrees to calculate nuclear propertiesis *** nucleon-nucleon (N-N) interaction is based on Reid soft core (RSC) *** results of calculationsshow that much of increase in the nuclear energy generated under compression is used to create the massive A *** number of Δ's can be increased to about 2.1% of constituents of nucleus when nuclear density reaches about 1.34times of normal *** single particle energy levels are calculated and their behavior under compression is alsoexamined.A good agreement has been found between current calculations and phenomenological shell model for lowlying single-particle *** gap between shells is very clear and L-S coupling become stronger as increasing thestatic load on the *** results show a considerable reduction in compressibility when freedom degrees of Δ's aretaken into *** has been found that the total nuclear radial density becomes denser in the interior and less densein the exterior region of *** surface of nucleus becomes more and more responsive to compression than outerregion.
