The late Neoproterozoïc Toubkal inlier (Ancient Massif of the High-Atlas, Morocco) contains two igneous basaltic series (Tircht and Sidi Chamharouch). Investigated rocks display characteristics of within-plate continental tholeiitic and are similar to rocks originated in orogenic contexts. The geochemical results allow the assumption that subduction active processes are indirectly responsible for the genesis of theses rocks. The orogenic signature is linked probably to a Pan-African magmatic source previously metasomatized in the northern margin of the West African Craton.

Introduction: Kidney cancer represents 2% to 3% of malignant tumors, with an incidence of 5.8/100,000 in Western countries, a very specific subgroup of renal tumors that are cystic tumors. In fact, almost 50% of the population over 50 has a renal cyst. Materials and Methods: The objective of this study is to establish a correlation between the preoperative Bosniak score and the postoperative anatomopathological analysis in order to answer this question, the use of contrast ultrasound or MRI should be systematically performed before an atypical renal cyst? This is a retrospective study of 50 patients treated for renal cysts between January 2010 and March 2016. All patients have an abdominopelvic ultrasound and an abdominal scanner. Cysts have been classified according to the Bosniak classification. We treated our patients based on the radiological examination urocsanner and we classified our patients according to the classification of Bosniak, and uro MRI was performed in cases of atypical cysts or diagnostic doubt before considering a therapeutic attituderding to the classification of Bosniak. Results: In our work, the Uro MRI was sharper for atypical cysts (type IIF and Type III cyst) with sensitivity greater than that of the scanner but with a specificity similar to that of the scanner. And therefore be a key examination in the atypical kidney cysts. Conclusions: URO MRI is currently in 2020 a key examination of atypical bonsiak IIf and III cysts before management of the therapeutic load.

AIM: To investigate rates of drug and alcohol use and their association with academic performance in Moroccan youth. METHODS: An adapted version of the European School Project on Alcohol and Other Drugs survey was administered to 2139 10^(th)-12^(th) graders in 36 Moroccan public high schools. Two multiple logistic regressions were completed, one for male and one for female subjects. Grade average was used as a two-part outcome variable, and drug use was used as a four-level categorical independent variable. Parents' education levels and socioeconomic status were included as covariates. RESULTS: Of the subjects, 181 girls(16%) and 390 boys(40%) reported ever having used alcohol, hashish, or psychotropic drugs. Girls who had used any of those substances in the past 30 d demonstrated an adjusted odds ratio(AOR) of 2.62(95%CI: 1.31-5.22) of having average or below-average grades, and those with any lifetime use showed an AOR of 1.72(95%CI: 1.07-2.77). Among the boys, use in the past 30 d was associated with an AOR of 2.08(95%CI: 1.33-3.24) of average or below average grades, and use in the last 12 mo with an AOR of 1.74(95%CI: 1.00-3.05). Any lifetime use among male and previous 12 mo use among female subjects were not significantly associated with academic ***: Among Moroccan adolescents, drug use is substantially different between boys and girls. In both genders, lower academic achievement was associated with alcohol, hashish, or psychotropic drug use in the last 30 d.

The photovoltaic sector in Morocco is a serious option for the future. The integration of this type of energy into the grid has a considerable effect on the adequacy of the grid. The objective of this work is to assess the reliability of the Moroccan power grid at the hierarchical level I (HLI: load coverage under the assumption of infinite node) using a non-sequential Monte Carlo simulation in which photovoltaic generation is introduced. In order to lead such a study, a model was used in order to calculate the hourly solar radiation and to determine the time evolution of the electrical power produced by photovoltaic power plants. Finally, we also compared the impact of both PV and wind generations in terms of adequacy of the Moroccan electrical supply.

Hexavalent chromium （Cr（VI）） pollution has become one of the most serious environmental problems today. One removal strategy comprises the microbial reduction of Cr（VI）, is regarded as a cost-effective biotechnology for the treatment of high volume and low concentration complex wastewaters. In this work a yeast strain that exhibits high Cr（VI） resistance was isolated from soil sediment. The isolated yeast was identified as Pichia anomala by sequencing analysis. The yeast showed a remarkable capacity to completely reduce 25 and 50 mg/L of Cr（VI） in 48 h under aerobic conditions. The increase of initial Cr（VI） concentration influenced reduction, growth and specific growth rate. This strain also exhibited multiple heavy metal tolerance. The presence of anions and cations in the medium had a great influence on chromium reduction. Fractionation of the cells showed that the mechanism of Cr（VI） removal by this strain is ＂adsorption-coupled reduction＂ and the hexavalent chromate reductase activity was expressed constitutively. FTIR analysis of the biomass exposed to chromium showed that the binding process of the chromium ions involves the active participation of functional groups present in the external surface of biomass. High Cr（VI） concentration resistance and high Cr（VI） reducing ability of this strain make it a suitable candidate for bioremediation.

In response to the global food crisis and the imperative to address soil degradation, the international agricultural policy is actively working to alleviate the adverse impacts of soil salinity. As part of this initiative, a field trial spanning two consecutive seasons (2019/20-2020/21) was conducted under saline conditions. The primary objective was to evaluate the influence of various compost sources, including vermicompost at a rate of 0.5 ton·fed-1 and plant residues compost at a rate of 5.0 ton·fed-1, as main plots. Subplots were established by applying agricultural gypsum, both in the presence and absence of gypsum requirements. Additionally, sub-subplots were created by externally applying cobalt at a rate of 10.0 mg·L-1, with one sub-subplot receiving foliar cobalt application and the other not. The trial sought to assess the growth performance, chemical composition, enzymatic antioxidants, yield, and quality of cabbage plants (Brassica oleracea var. capitata L.) cultivated in saline soil. According to the findings, cabbage plants exhibited the most favorable response in terms of plant height, chlorophyll content, carotene levels, leaf area, nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K), head yield, vitamin C, and total dissolved solids (TDS) when treated with vermicompost, followed by plant compost. Conversely, plants grown without compost exhibited the least improvement in performance. Cabbage treated with agricultural gypsum requirements showed better performance than those without gypsum amendment. Moreover, plants subjected to cobalt spray demonstrated the highest growth, yield, and quality parameters compared to those without cobalt foliar application. In contrast, the control group (plants without the studied treatments) displayed the highest levels of enzymatic antioxidants, specifically catalase and peroxidase. This indicates that soil salinity stress led to an increase in catalase and peroxidase production in cabbage

Malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumors of the scalp are rare lesions of the nervous system. ?Only 16 cases have been reported to date. In this report, we present a case of a malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor (MPNST) of the scalp and retrospectively analyze the clinical features, imaging findings, pathological features, and prognoses of these tumors.

The elastic Ligation of Internal Hemorrhoids: Where Are We Now?

Hemorrhoidal disease requires different means of treatment: medical, surgical and instrumental. Among these, the elastic ligature seems to be an effective and widespread technique in the world. The aim of our study is to report our experience in methodology and short and medium term results of ligation in a population that strongly fears surgery. Patients and Methods: It’s about a retrospective and descriptive study of 208 outpatients treated with elastic ligations for symptomatic internal hemorrhoids. These patients were collected over a period of 15 years (October 2003-April 2018) at the gastroenterology department of Hassan II CHU in Fez. Results: The average age of our patients was 50.3 years [20 - 82 years] with a sex-ratio M/F of 2.85. The clinical signs were dominated by rectorrhagia (99%) complicated by anemia in 116 cases requiring blood transfusion in 72 cases, followed by proctalgia (27.4%). Transit disorders were noted in 65 patients (31.2%). Indications for elastic ligation were symptomatic internal hemorrhoids Grade 3 (65.4%) and Grade 2 (34.6%). The average number of ligation sessions that achieved the therapeutic goal was 2.30 sessions [1 - 4]. The average number of rings per session was 3.1 rings [1 - 6]. Moderate to severe pain was reported by 20 patients (9.6%) mostly within 6 hours of ligation. Minimal rectorrhagia was reported in 33 cases (15.8%). There were no major complications who required a hospitalization. The success rate was 80.7% (n = 168). Surgery was performed in 31 patients (14.9%) and sclerosis in 7 patients (3.3%). Conclusion: The elastic ligation of internal hemorrhoids remains an effective and inexpensive technique when it comes to the treatment of symptomatic internal hemorrhoids of Grade 2 to 3. The results obtained in our study were very reassuring and motivating.
