In this paper, we have focused on several relevant sensors [Laser (for speed measurements), Sonar (for space scanning) and RF (for access rights)] to cooperate in monitoring the security status of multiple dynamic agent in surveillance area. Such coordination is achieved by employing novel concepts of sensors similarity and complementarity. Furthermore, this system is aided with Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) in order to estimate the agent’s non-linear movement. Finally, transforms system state to be able to make a security suspiciousness decision by using type-2 fuzzy logic system to handle uncertainty. It is shown that the system performance can exhibit promising improvements for this dynamic security monitoring application.

Wireless sensors networks (WSNs) combined with cognitive radio have developed and solved the limited space of the frequency spectrum. In this paper, we propose different types of spectrums sensing and their own decisions depend on the probabilities that applied into fusion center, and how these probabilities’ techniques help to enhance the energy consumption of WSNs. In the same way, the importance of designing balanced distribution between the wireless sensors networks and their own sinks. This research also provides an overview of security issues in CR-WSN, especially in Spectrum Sensing Data Falsification (SSDF) attacks that enforces harmful effects on spectrum sensing and spectrum sharing. We adopt OR rule as four types of CRSN sensing protocolin greenhouses application by using Matlab and Netsim simulators. Our results show that the designing balanced wireless sensors and their sinks in greenhouses are very significant to decrease the energy, which is due to the traffic congestion in the sink range area. Furthermore, by applying OR rule has enhanced the energy consumption, and improved the sensors network lifetime compared to cognitive radio network.

Increased pollution levels have caused damage to our planet. Many scientists are now warning on the long term effects. Green houses gases causes more of the sunlight to be trapped within the Earth’s atmosphere and thus causing increased Earth temperature. Individuals, governments, and private entities are now acting on fixing this problem. One of the most promising solutions is installing an array of solar cells in residential areas. Doing so makes sense for areas with abundant sunlight as the dependency on the grid can be minimized and even completely illuminated while providing a feasible economic perspective at the same time. This paper presents the modelling of a residential setup as a complete system along with an electric vehicle. The modelled components include: Photovoltaic Cells, Home Load Usage, Electric Vehicle, High-Voltage battery as an energy storage, Boost, and Inverter. The presented analysis will help engineers and system designers do better cost analysis. The study can also be used as a basis for maximizing the solar energy usage and perform component optimization.

Nonlinear Control of Chaotic Forced Duffing and Van der Pol Oscillators

This paper discusses a novel technique and implementation to perform nonlinear control for two different forced model state oscillators and actuators. The paper starts by discussing the Duffing oscillator which features a second order non-linear differential equation describing complex motion whereas the second model is the Van der Pol oscillator with non-linear damping. A first order actuator is added to both models to expand on the chaotic behavior of the oscillators. In order to control the system without comprising linearization, Lyapunov non-linear control was used. A control Lyapunov function was tailored to the system. This led to improved maneuverability of the controller and the performance of the overall system. The controller was found to be highly efficient in system tracking and had swift response time. Simulations were performed on both the uncontrolled and controlled cases. Both simulation results ultimately confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed controller.
