CO oxidation and 4-nitrophenol reduction over ceria-promoted platinum nanoparticles impregnated with ZSM-5 zeolite

Active new ceria-promoted platinum supported on ZSM-5 catalysts were prepared and characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform infrared spectra(FtIR),transform electron microscopy(tEM),temperature programmed desorption(tPD),and FtIR of CO *** samples were prepared by the incipient wetness impregnation method and calcined at 500℃.the XRD patterns and FtIR spectra prove that the zeolite framework is kept unaltered after metal *** images prove the presence of Pt nanoparticles with particle size starting from 14 to 27 *** FtIR data suggest the formation of Pt-O-Ce ***-situ FtIR of CO adsorption over reduced samples proves the presence of Pt~0 only,and no Pt^(n+)-CO species are *** prepared catalysts were tested in both oxidation reaction(CO oxidation) in the gas phase and in reduction reaction(4-nitrophenol reduction) in the aqueous ***,CO oxidation by O_(2) results in the formation of a CO_(2) peak at 2347 cm^(-1) as the only CO oxidation product in the studied frequency *** intensity of the CO_(2) peak increases after the addition of Ce,and it is 4 times higher in Pt_(1) Ce_(0.5)ZSM-5 than that in the Ce-free *** to the FtIR data and previous reports,the increase in the catalytic activity may be due to the formation of Pt-O-Ce ***,Ce-promoted Pt_(1) ZSM5 also exhibits enhanced catalytic activity towards the reduction of 4-nitrophenol to 4-aminophenol by NaBH_(4) in the aqueous *** first-order rate constant of the reduction increases ≈13 times after incorporating equal ratios of Pt and Ce(Pt_(1) Ce_(1)ZSM-5),and the activation energy(E_(a)) decreases to 40% of that in the reaction over Pt_(1) ZSM-5.

Effectiveness of external prestressing in enhancing the non-ductile hanger failure mechanism in reinforced concrete inverted t-beams

Recently,inverted t-beams have been used in reinforced concrete(RC)bridges to support transverse precast *** t-beams,contrary to practice with conventional beams,are loaded on the flanges upper *** loading configuration causes hanger failure due to the generation of vertical tensile stresses near the bottom of the *** key purpose of this study is to investigate the efficiency of vertical external prestressing stainless-steel bars in mitigating non-ductile hanger failure in reinforced concrete inverted *** experimental study on six inverted-t beams,including two un-strengthened specimens,was carried *** study showed that the value of the prestressing level had a considerable impact on the performance of hanger mechanism in relation to crack pattern,ultimate loads,cracking behavior,load-deflection,strains,and *** experimental results indicated that the suggested method for strengthening inverted t-beams had efficacy in reducing the seriousness of the non-ductile hanger failure and resulted in a strength increase of up to 53% when compared to that of the un-strengthened ***,two analytical models for estimating the hanger capacity and the average crack width of the strengthened RC inverted t-beams were *** models that were proposed exhibited a high degree of agreement with the experimental results.

GraphFlow+:Exploiting Conversation Flow in Conversational Machine Comprehension with Graph Neural Networks

this paper introduces a paradigm shift in atomic force microscope(AFM)scan control,leveraging an artificial intelligence(AI)-based *** contrast to conventional control methods,which either show a limited performance,such as proportional integral differential(PID)control,or which purely focus on mathematical optimality as classical optimal control approaches,our proposed AI approach redefines the objective of control for achieving practical *** presented AI controller minimizes the root-mean-square control deviations in routine scans by a factor of about 4 compared to PID control in the presented setup and also showcases a distinctive asymmetric response in complex situations,prioritizing the safety of the AFM tip and sample instead of the lowest possible control *** development and testing of the AI control concept are performed on simulated AFM scans,demonstrating its huge potential.

Impact of auditory stimulation nursing protocol on auditory response in cerebrovascular stroke patients

Objectives:the objective of the study was to explore the impact of auditory stimulation protocol on auditory response in cerebrovascular stroke(CVS)*** and Methods:A pre-posttest nonequivalent control group quasi-experimental study was conducted at Al Mainal Hospital at Al Kars Einy Hospital,Cairo University,among 60 CVS patients,and the sample was randomly assigned through a coin to allocate subjects to study or control group(30 for each group).Auditory stimulation techniques were applied three times per week for the study group for two consecutive *** in the control group received only routine hospital care during the study *** Glasgow Coma Scale(GCS)score for assessing the neurological function and level of arousal and the auditory subscale score of Western Neuro Sensory Stimulation Profile(WNSSP)for assessing auditory response were recorded and compared between the two groups before and after the ***:there were statistically significant differences between the study group and the control group regarding third reading of GCS score(11.5±0.3 vs.10.6±0.9,t=4.676,P=0.000).the scores of all auditory subscales of WNSSP in the study groups increased after implementing the auditory stimulation protocol(Ptilizing the auditory stimulation protocol by nurse proves to be an effective method for enhancing hearing responses in individuals with CVS.

Study the Effect of thickness on the Performance of PM6:Y6 Organic Solar Using SCAPS Simulation

In this study, organic solar cells (OSCs) with an active layer, a blend of polymer of non-fullerene (NFA) Y6 as an acceptor, and donor PBDB-t-2F as donor were simulated through the one-dimensional solar capacitance simulator (SCAPS-1D) software to examine the performance of this type of organic polymer thin-film solar cell by varying the thickness of the active layer. PFN-Br interfacial layer entrenched in OPV devices gives overall enhanced open-circuit voltage, short-circuit current density and fill factor thus improving device performance. PEDOt: PSS is an electro-conductive polymer solution that has been extensively utilized in solar cell devices as a hole transport layer (HtL) due to its strong hole affinity, good thermal and mechanical stability, high work function, and high transparency in the visible range. the structure of the organic solar cell is ItO/PEDOt: PSS/BtP-4F: PBDB-t-2F/PFN-Br/Ag. Firstly, the active layer thickness was optimized to 100 nm;after that, the active-layer thickness was varied up to 900 nm. the results of these simulations demonstrated that the active layer thickness improves efficiency significantly up to 500 nm, then it decreased with increasing the thickness of the active layer from 600 nm, also notice that the short circuit current and the fill factor decrease with increasing the active layer from 600 nm, while the open voltage circuit increased with increasing the thickness of the active layer. the optimum thickness is 500 nm.
