GiS Mapping, Biomonitoring and Distribution of Heavy Metal Concentrations Using Neem (Azadirachta indica) Bark in Makurdi Town, Benue State, Nigeria

The present work determined the concentration and spatial distribution of heavy metals (As, Hg, Cr, Cd and Pb) in soil samples from Makurdi and its environs using geographic information system (GiS). The specific objective is to produce the spatial distribution maps showing the spatial distribution of toxic heavy metals in the study area. inverse Distance Weighting (iDW), a GiS technique was used to produce dotted maps showing the spatial distribution of heavy metals in neem bark for better visualization of contamination zones and non-contamination zones. The map reveals few hotspot areas showing areas of high concentrations of the heavy metals investigated which were identified in red colours, the following concentration ranges were obtained;As (4.71 - 6.43 mg/kg), Cd (13.9 - 16.84 mg/kg), Cr (46.3 - 60.84 mg/kg), Hg (3.70 - 5.05 mg/kg) and Pb (24.02 - 31.34 mg/kg). These hotspot areas were found close to business outlets, fuel filling and service stations, farm sites where the application of fertilizers and pesticides were persistent coupled with heavy traffic of vehicles and other machinery which was associated with As, Hg, Cd, Pb and Cr been released into the environment thus, suggesting anthropogenic activities controlling the concentration of these heavy metals in the study areas. The cumulative effect of these heavy metals into the barks of neem could pose as danger, because this plant is used as herbs in folk medicine.

Due to the inherent insecure nature of the internet,it is crucial to ensure the secure transmission of image data over this ***,given the limitations of computers,it becomes evenmore important to employ efficient and fast image encryption *** 1D chaotic maps offer a practical approach to real-time image encryption,their limited flexibility and increased vulnerability restrict their practical *** this research,we have utilized a 3DHindmarsh-Rosemodel to construct a secure *** randomness of the chaotic map is assessed through standard *** proposed system enhances security by incorporating an increased number of system parameters and a wide range of chaotic parameters,as well as ensuring a uniformdistribution of chaotic signals across the entire value ***,a fast image encryption technique utilizing the new chaotic system is *** novelty of the approach is confirmed through time complexity *** further strengthen the resistance against cryptanalysis attacks and differential attacks,the sha-256 algorithm is employed for secure key *** results through a number of parameters demonstrate the strong cryptographic performance of the proposed image encryption approach,highlighting its exceptional suitability for secure ***,the security of the proposed scheme has been compared with stateof-the-art image encryption schemes,and all comparison metrics indicate the superior performance of the proposed scheme.

An Efficient Color-image Encryption Method Using DNA Sequence and Chaos Cipher

Nowadays,high-resolution images pose several challenges in the context of image *** encryption of huge images’file sizes requires high computational *** encryption techniques like,Data Encryption Standard(DES),and Advanced Encryption Standard(AES)are not only inefficient,but also less *** to characteristics of chaos theory,such as periodicity,sensitivity to initial conditions and control parameters,and ***,the characteristics of deoxyribonucleic acid(DNA),such as vast parallelism and large storage capacity,make it a promising *** paper presents an efficient color image encryption method utilizing DNA encoding with two types of hyper-chaotic *** proposed encryption method comprises three *** first step initializes the conditions for generating Lorenz and Rossler hyper-chaotic maps using a plain image Secure Hash Algorithm(sha-256/384).The second step performs a confusion procedure by scrambling the three components of the image(red,green,and blue)using Lorenz hyper-chaotic ***,the third step combines three approaches to encrypt the scrambled components for diffusion:DNA encoding/decoding,addition operation between components,and XORing with Rossler hyper-chaotic *** simulation results indicate that the suggested encryption algorithm satisfies the requirements of *** entropy value of confusion and diffusion is 7.997,the key space is 2200,and the correlation coefficient is nearly *** efficacy of the proposed method has been verified through numerous evaluations,and the results show its resistance and effectiveness against several attacks,like statistical and brute-force ***,the devised algorithm vanquishes other relevant color image encryption algorithms.

The Circular Electron Positron Collider(CEPC)is a large scientific project initiated and hosted by China,fostered through extensive collaboration with international *** complex comprises four accelerators:a 30 GeV Linac,a 1.1 GeV Damping Ring,a Booster capable of achieving energies up to 180 GeV,and a Collider operating at varying energy modes(Z,W,H,and tt).The Linac and Damping Ring are situated on the surface,while the subterranean Booster and Collider are housed in a 100 km circumference underground tunnel,strategically accommodating future expansion with provisions for a potential Super Proton Proton Collider(SPPC).The CEPC primarily serves as a Higgs *** its baseline design with synchrotron radiation(SR)power of 30 MW per beam,it can achieve a luminosity of 5×10^(34)cm^(-2)s^(-1)per interaction point(iP),resulting in an integrated luminosity of 13 ab^(-1)for two iPs over a decade,producing 2.6 million Higgs *** the SR power to 50 MW per beam expands the CEPC's capability to generate 4.3 million Higgs bosons,facilitating precise measurements of Higgs coupling at sub-percent levels,exceeding the precision expected from the HL-LHC by an order of *** Technical Design Report(TDR)follows the Preliminary Conceptual Design Report(Pre-CDR,2015)and the Conceptual Design Report(CDR,2018),comprehensively detailing the machine's layout,performance metrics,physical design and analysis,technical systems design,R&D and prototyping efforts,and associated civil engineering ***,it includes a cost estimate and a preliminary construction timeline,establishing a framework for forthcoming engineering design phase and site selection *** is anticipated to begin around 2027-2028,pending government approval,with an estimated duration of 8 *** commencement of experiments and data collection could potentially be initiated in the mid-2030s.
