The number of mobile devices accessing wireless networks isskyrocketing due to the rapid advancement of sensors and wireless communicationtechnology. In the upcoming years, it is anticipated that mobile datatraffic would rise even more. The development of a new cellular networkparadigm is being driven by the Internet of Things, smart homes, and moresophisticated applications with greater data rates and latency *** are being used up quickly due to the steady growth of smartphonedevices andmultimedia apps. Computation offloading to either several distantclouds or close mobile devices has consistently improved the performance ofmobile devices. The computation latency can also be decreased by offloadingcomputing duties to edge servers with a specific level of computing ***-to-device (D2D) collaboration can assist in processing small-scaleactivities that are time-sensitive in order to further reduce task delays. The taskoffloading performance is drastically reduced due to the variation of differentperformance capabilities of edge nodes. Therefore, this paper addressed thisproblem and proposed a new method for D2D communication. In thismethod, the time delay is reduced by enabling the edge nodes to exchangedata samples. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has betterperformance than traditional algorithm.

A study is conducted on the performances of a solar powered continuous-adsorption refrigerator considering two particular days as references cases,namely,the summer solstice(June 21st)and the autumn equinox(September 21st).The cooling capacity,system performance coefficient and the daily rate of available cooling energy are *** main goal is to compare the performances of a solar adsorption chiller equipped with a hot water tank(HWT)with an equivalent system relying on solar collectors with no heat storage *** daily cooling rates for the solar refrigerator are found to be 102.4 kWh and 74.3 kWh,respectively,on June 21st and on September 21st,using a total collector’s area of 43.47 *** corresponding values for the adsorption chiller equipped with a hot water tank of 2 m3(and using a total collector’s area of 72.45 m2),are 127.1 kWh and 106.13 kWh,respectively.

While scan-based compression is widely utilized in order to alleviate the test time and data volume problems,the overall compression level is dictated not only by the chain to channel ratio but also the ratio of encodable *** increasing the number of scan chains in an effort to raise the compression levels may reduce the ratio of encodable patterns,degrading the overall compression *** this paper,we present various methods to improve the ratio of encodable *** methods are based on manipulating the care bit distribution of an unencodable pattern,thereby rendering it compliant with the correlation induced by the decompressor, and thus converting it into an encodable *** proposed transformations,which are simple yet effective,target improvements over fanout and XOR decompressors,while they can be utilized to enhance other types of decompressors, such as multiplexer-based ones;simple nature of these transformations help preserve the simplicity benefits of combinational *** bit manipulation is effected in the form of selective chain delay, selective slice rotate/invert, or both. By developing computationally efficient algorithms and cost-effective hardware blocks for these manipulation methods, we show that the encodability, and thus the compression levels, of stimulus decompressors can be significantly improved through the practical and design flow compatible solution that we propose.

Gardner syndrome (also known as familial colorectal polyposis) is a rare autosomal dominant condition. It is characterized by osteomas, familial polyposis of the colon, cutaneous epidermoid cysts, soft tissue tumors, as well as certain dental anomalies. We report the case of a 29 years old male patient with Gardner’s syndrome who presented with no intestinal polyps but instead had an osteoma on the left side of the mandible and multiple impacted teeth. The case showed the possibility to manage the multiple impacted teeth without jeopardizing the health of the teeth in terms of mobility or significant root resorption taking into consideration the increased bone density in such patients.

Purpose: To determine the prevalence of cutaneous disorders of PCOS and indicate the specific cutaneous lesions that have reliable association with PCOS. Methods: 134 female participants had met the criteria to be diagnosed as PCOS. Dermatological examination regarding hirsutism, acne, androgenic alopecia and acanthosis nigricans as well as any other cutaneous manifestations and assessment of each as regards duration, distribution and scoring was done. Hormonal assay for FSH/LH was done together with ultrasound examination. Results: The study included 134 female participants who had met the criteria to be diagnosed as PCOS; the range of age was 18 - 35 years, with a mean (26.31 ± 4.47 years). Among the PCOS patients at least one cutaneous disorder was found in 18 patients (13.4%), two cutaneous disorders in 44 patients (32.8%), three cutaneous disorders in 47 patients (35.1%), four cutaneous disorders in 24 (17.9%) and five cutaneous disorders were found in only one patient (0.7%). Statistically, there was a significant positive correlations between hirsutism, acne, acanthosis nigricans and LH/F.S.H ratio (p < 0.001), and total testosterone level (p = 0.019, p < 0.001, p < 0.001) respectively.
