Zi.c and cadmi.m pollutants cause a si.ni.i.ant envi.onmental effect that cannot be i.nored. Due to thei. consi.erable amount i. an aqueous envi.onment, i.dustri.s are seeki.g sui.able adsorbents that are envi.onmentally fri.ndly and i.expensi.e for removi.g metals from wastewater before di.posi.g of them i. surface waters. Thi. research employed ori.i.al MXene(MX) and chi.osan-modi.i.d MXene(CSMX) to extract zi.c(Zn(Ⅱ)) and cadmi.m(Cd(Ⅱ)) metal i.ns from water-based soluti.ns. The composi.e materi.l produced was analyzed usi.g techni.ues such as X-ray Di.fracti.n(XrD), Scanni.g Electron Mi.roscopy(SEM), Fouri.r Transform i.frared Spectroscopy(FTi.), and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET). The effects of contact durati.n, p H of the soluti.n, and i.i.i.l concentrati.n of metal i.ns on the adsorpti.n process of Zn(Ⅱ) and Cd(Ⅱ) onto both MX and CSMX composi.es were i.vesti.ated. MX and prepared CSMX composi.e presented a hi.h adsorpti.n capaci.y for both studi.d heavy metals, whi.h were 91.55 and 73.82 mg/g for Zn(Ⅱ) and Cd(Ⅱ) onto MX, 106.84 and 93.07 mg/g for Cd(Ⅱ) and Zn(Ⅱ) onto CSMX composi.e, respecti.ely. Furthermore, the maxi.um competi.i.e adsorpti.n capaci.i.s for Zn(Ⅱ) onto MX and CSMX composi.es are 77.29 and 93.47 mg/g, and for are Cd(Ⅱ)60.30 and 79.66 mg/g, respecti.ely. Hence, the removal capaci.i.s for both si.gle and competi.i.e metal i.ns were superi.r to CSMX composi.e. However, the adsorpti.n capaci.i.s after fi.e successi.e regenerati.n sequences were only dropped by 13.2% for Zn(Ⅱ) and 17.4% for Cd(Ⅱ) onto the CSMX composi.e compared to the fi.st cycle. These results confi.m that both metals could be effi.i.ntly termi.ated from wastewater, whi.h makes the prepared CSMX composi.e a favorable candi.ate adsorbent i. practi.al appli.ati.ns.

i.trusi.n detecti.n systems (i.Ss) are deployed to detect anomali.s i. real ti.e. They classi.y a network’s i.comi.g traffi. as beni.n or anomalous (attack). An effi.i.nt and robust i.S i. software-defi.ed networks i. an i.evi.able component of network securi.y. The mai. challenges of such an i.S are achi.vi.g zero or extremely low false posi.i.e rates and hi.h detecti.n rates. i.ternet of Thi.gs (i.T) networks run by usi.g devi.es wi.h mi.i.al resources. Thi. si.uati.n makes deployi.g tradi.i.nal i.Ss i. i.T networks unfeasi.le. Machi.e learni.g (ML) techni.ues are extensi.ely appli.d to bui.d robust i.Ss. Many researchers have uti.i.ed di.ferent ML methods and techni.ues to address the above challenges. The development of an effi.i.nt i.S starts wi.h a good feature selecti.n process to avoi. overfi.ti.g the ML model. Thi. work proposes a multi.le feature selecti.n process followed by classi.i.ati.n. i. thi. study, the Software-defi.ed networki.g (SDN) dataset i. used to trai. and test the proposed model. Thi. model appli.s multi.le feature selecti.n techni.ues to select hi.h-scori.g features from a set of features. Hi.hly relevant features for anomaly detecti.n are selected on the basi. of thei. scores to generate the candi.ate dataset. Multi.le classi.i.ati.n algori.hms are appli.d to the candi.ate dataset to bui.d models. The proposed model exhi.i.s consi.erable i.provement i. the detecti.n of attacks wi.h hi.h accuracy and low false posi.i.e rates, even wi.h a few features selected.
