In the present paper, Copper Phthalocyanine (CuPc) thin films were deposited on glass and silicon substrate by thermal evaporation and pulsed laser deposition (PLD) methods. CuPc thin films prepared at different annealing temperatures (298, 323, 348, 373, 423 K) respectively. The structure and surface morphology of CuPc in powder and thin films forms prepared by two methods were studied using Energy dispersive X-ray (EDX), X-ray f§lt;span§gt;lorescence (XRF), X-ray§lt;/span§gt;diffraction (XRD), Atomic force microscope (AFM), and Scanning electron microscope (SEM). It showed that there was a change and enhancement in the crystallinity and surface morphology due to change in the annealing temperature (T§lt;sub§gt;a§lt;/sub§gt;). The purpose of our work is to find the optimal temperature for which the film produces best structural properties for CuPc thin film to produce organic field effect transistor. Analysis of X-ray diffraction patterns of CuPc in powder form showed that it had an α-poly-crystalline phase with monoclinic structure, with preferentially oriented (100) plane transform to §lt;i§gt;β§lt;/i§gt;-single crystalline morestable structure at different annealing temperatures.

Vitiligo is a common pigmentary disorder. Many studies across decades and all over the world have attempted to illustrate the pathogenesis behind it; however, the pathogenesis of vitiligo remains elusive. This review article, we present the findings behind the most and updated theories behind this psychologically debilitating and disfiguring disease. The discussion begun with the role of genetic predisposition followed by neural theory first proposed in the 1950 s. Wehighlight the autoimmune hypothesis, followed by the reactive oxygen species model, zinc-α2-glycoprotein deficiency hypothesis, viral theory, intrinsic theory and biochemical, molecular and cellular alterations accounting for loss of functioning melanocytes in vitiligo. Many theories were elaborated to clarify vitiligo pathogenesis. It is a multifactorial disease involving the interplay of several factors. Future research is needed to clarify the interaction of these factors for better understanding of vitiligo pathogenesis and subsequent successful treatment.

The present work measured the bulk etch rate (VB?) of solid state nuclear track detector by taking the diameter time measurement of alpha particle in CR-39 detector. The values of the track diameter have been found by using TRACK-TEST program from Yu et al. function and Brun et al. function with different energies of alpha particles. The results showed that the time-diameter (t-d) method gave good results of the bulk etch rate (VB?) and these values were (1.705 and 1.72) μm·hr-1. They showed good agreement with the values measured by using the other methods, and it was a simple method because it required getting diameters of the tracks in the detector with the etching time.

Evaluation of Ceranock Attract and Kill System to Control Mediterranean Fruit Fly （Ceratitis capitata） in Citrus Orchards of Iraq

Field experiments were conducted using Ceranock bait station, ＂attract and kill＂ system to combat Mediterranean fruit fly, Ceratitis capitata, in citrus orchards of Baghdad and Wasit governorates, Iraq, during 2013-2014 season. Control program was implemented in six citrus orchards of mixed citrus varieties： Orange, Citrus sinensis; Mandarin, C. reticulate; Lemon, C. lemon; and Bergamot, C. aurantium. Ceranock traps 240/ha were hanged in trees of two separate orchards in each location, with third orchard served as control. Delta and McPhail traps supplied with pheromone were used to monitor Medfly population density in treated and control orchards. Results indicated that Medfly activity and presence in citrus orchards started during the first week of October coincide with the beginning of fruits ripening. The result indicated that Medfly population density in Wasit orchards was more than that of Baghdad orchards. The total trapped insects after two weeks of Ceranock were 59, 94, 142 and 205, 277, 765 adults for the firsst, second and the control orchards in the two locations, respectively. The percentage of fruit injuries were increased dramatically when fruits mature and its color turn to yellowish reaching of 35%, 56%, 21% and 32% in mandarin and orange fruits in Baghdad and Wasit orchards, respectively, compared with 3%, 4%, 4% and 5% in treated orchards, respectively. Calculated percentage of fruit damage indicated that reduction in injuries were 97% in mandarin and 96% in orange at Baghdad orchards and were 95% and 96%, respectively, in Wasit orchards. The results of this study demonstrate clearly the efficacy of Ceranock bait station, ＂attract and kill＂ system as a control measure for Medfly in citrus orchards.

Background and Aim: Association of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and liver related mortality is well-known;however;its cardiovascular risk remains questionable. The aim of this work was to highlight the association between NAFLD and the severity of coronary heart disease. Method: The study was conducted between July and December 2019 at Qena university hospital, Qena, Egypt on patients who were scheduled for coronary angiography. Liver steatosis was diagnosed using FibroScan and the severity of coronary artery occlusion was assessed by Gensini score calculation. Statistical analysis was done to study the correlation between liver steatosis and angiography findings. Result: A total of 100 patients were included, mean age 48 years (±8 SD). Correlation between coronary angiography and the baseline variables revealed statistically significant positive correlation between Gensini score and ALT (p = 0.002), FBS (p Conclusion: NAFLD is an independent cardiovascular risk predictor with statistically significant increase in Gensini score with the higher grades of NAFLD.

The three-photon absorption (3PA) in nanostructure wide-band gap ZnO semiconductor material is observed under high intensity femtosecond Titanium-Sapphire laser of 800 nm wavelength excitation. The ZnO film was prepared by chemical spray pyrolysis technique with substrate temperature of 400℃. The optical properties concerning the absorp-tion, transmission, reflection, Raman and the photoluminescence spectra are studied for the prepared film. The structure of the ZnO film was tested with the X-Ray diffraction and it was found to be a polycrystalline with recognized peaks oriented in (002), and (102). The measured of three photon absorption coefficient was found to be about 0.0166 cm3/Gwatt2, which is about five times higher than the bulk value. The fully computerized z-scan system was used to measure the nonlinear coefficients from the Gaussian fit of the transmitted laser incident.

Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANETs) operate without infrastructure where nodes can move randomly. Therefore, routing in MANETs is a challenging task. In this paper we evaluate the performance of three important MANET routing protocols: Ad hoc On-Demand Distance Vector (AODV), Dynamic Source Routing (DSR) and Optimized Link State Routing (OLSR) when employed to forward scalable video contents. AODV and DSR are reactive protocols in that routing paths are established once needed. On the other hand, OLSR is a proactive routing protocol where routing information is exchanged and maintained continuously. The goal of the performance evaluation in this study is to assess the performance of AODV, DSR and OLSR in communicating scalable video contents. In the simulation part of this paper, a real video sequence is communicated where the characteristics and quality of the video decoded at receiver nodes are evaluated. NS2 along with extensions and other evaluation frameworks have been used to assess the performance of the MANET routing protocols when used for scalable video communication. The framework allows starting from a raw video that is encoded, packetized, transmitted through a network topology and collected at receiver to be decoded, played, and evaluated. Delay and timing constraints are taken into consideration when decoding the received video packets.

In this study, the fabrication and characterization of capacitive humidity sensors using cobalt-phthalocyanine （CoPc） as the active material were presented. Thin films of CoPc were deposited by drop casting on glass substrates with pre-deposited aluminum electrodes to form A1/CoPc/A1 surface-type humidity sensors. The effect of humidity on the electrical properties of the CoPc film was investigated by measuring capacitance and resistance of the samples at four different frequencies of the applied voltage. It was observed that the capacitance of the sensor increased while the resistance decreased with raising the relative humidity. It was also found that the values of capacitance and resistance decreased with increasing frequency. The optical absorption spectra and optical band gap energy of CoPc films were measured. The structure of CoPc powder and thin films has been studied by X-ray diffraction （XRD）, scanning electron microscopy （SEM）, and atomic force microscopy （AFM）. Results of XRD studies show that the film structure is polycrystalline with the monoclinic structure while thin films have a peak for annealing temperatures with （100） orientation. Also, the surface morphology （grain size and roughness） for CoPc films have been studied by AFM.

Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a pathological condition seen as histological change ranging from simple steatosis to steatohepatitis, advanced fibrosis and liver disease among patients without significant alcohol consumption. Microalbuminuria which is defined as the urinary albumin excretion of 30 - 300 mg/24h has been reported to be a risk factor for renal and cardiovascular disorders. It also has independent correlation to high mortality in diabetic and hypertensive patients. NAFLD is affecting non obese non diabetic individuals;Microalbuminuria is correlated to visceral adipose tissue even in non diabetic non obese patients with limited studies in this aspect. Microalbuminuria is considered as a risk factor for cardiovascular and chronic kidney disease. Aim of the work: To assess urinary albumin creatinine ratio in non-obese non-diabetic patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. Patients and methods: Total number of 80 patients with NAFLD that were non diabetic non obese patients. Abdominal ultrasonography and laboratory investigations were done. Results: Eighty non-obese, non-diabetic subjects (32 women, 48 men) with the mean age of 50.9 were included in this study. The population of the study was classified into four groups according to ultrasonographic degrees of steatosis. Control Group (A), (No. 25) 31.25% of total cases are reported as no fat accumulation in liver. Group B;No. 21 26.25% of total cases are reported as had mild steatosis (NAFLD 1). Group C;No. 18 (22.5%) of total cases and reported as had moderate fat accumulation (moderate steatosis). Group D;No. 16 (20%) of total cases reported had severe fat accumulation (severe steatosis). Urinary albumin creatinine ratio also shows increase in its values with increasing in the degree of steatosis among different groups which is highly statistically significant. The electronic structure of III-V zinc blend Gallium Phosphide nanocrystals is investigated using ab-initio density functional theory coupled with large unit cell for the core and surface parts. Two kinds of cells are investigated: multiple Bravais and multiple primitive cells. The results show that both energy gap and valence band width depend on the shape of the nanocrystal. Results also revealed that most electronic properties converge to some limit as the size of the large unit cell increases. Furthermore, the results have shown that the cohesive energy is decreasing with increasing size of nanocrystals. The core part is more degenerate, with larger energy gap and smaller valance and conduction bands than the surface.
