Food Waste(FW)is a pressing environmental concern that affects every country *** one-third of the food that is produced ends up as waste,contributing to the carbon ***,the FW must be properly treated to reduce environmental *** study evaluates a few available Food Waste Treatment(FWT)technologies,such as anaerobic digestion,composting,landfill,and incineration,which are widely used.A Bipolar Picture Fuzzy set(BPFs)is proposed to deal with the ambiguity and uncertainty that arise when converting a real-world problem to a mathematical model.A novel Criteria Importance Through Intercriteria Correlation-stable Preference Ordering Towards Ideal solution(CRITIC-sPOTIs)approach is developed to objectively analyze FWT selection based on thirteen criteria covering the industry’s technical,environmental,and entrepreneurial *** CRITIC method is used for the objective analysis of the importance of each criterion in FWT *** sPOTIs method is adopted to rank the alternative hassle-free,following the *** proposed model offers a rank reversal-free model,i.e.,the rank of the alternatives remains unaffected even after the addition or removal of an *** addition,comparative and sensitivity analyses are performed to ensure the reliability and robustness of the proposed model and to validate the proposed result.

The study was carried out in Matiranga Upazila,Bandarban district,which is considered one of Bangladesh’s major hill tract *** study aimed to identify present farming conditions,prospects,and problems and suitable solutions to the problems of fish *** participatory rapid appraisal tools such as focus group discussion,field visits,and farmers’interviews were used to collect relevant fish farming information in the study *** polyculture method was the most practised aquaculture *** the selected farms,eleven fish species were identified as culture *** transportation cost for seeds purchased from remote areas was high(11%of total seed cost).The average transportation-related mortality of fish fry and fingerlings was 7.2%and 2.8%.Feed cost was found as the major cost(58.4%)in *** and revenue for fish production per decimal varied from BDT 311 to 3528 and BDT 23 to *** of vacant lake,youth and women engagement,integrated aquaculture,the desire of people to engage in aquaculture,and available human resources were found as significant *** major problems identified were lack of hatchery,high feed cost,lack of stakeholder linkage,lack of capital for fish farming,and lack of proper knowledge,guidelines,and consultancy for fish culture.A community-based aquaculture model was proposed to overcome the present challenges and problems in the study *** model may help to expand aquaculture and thus improve the livelihood and socio-economic status of the people of the hilly areas of Bangladesh.

In the present study,the effect of injecting air bubble size on the thermal performance of a vertical counter-current shell and coiled tube heat exchanger is experimentally *** experiments were accomplished in a cylindrical shape heat exchanger with a 50 cm height and 15 cm outer *** coil with 3.939 m equivalent length and 0.6 cm outer diameter was used to carry the hot fluid(water).Four different cold fluid(shell side)flow rates(Q_(s)=2;4;6 and 8 LPM)Þunder laminar flow conditions(316≤Re≤1223),constant hot(coil side)flow rate fluid rates(Q_(h)=1 LPM),four different injected air flow rates(Q_(a)=0:5;1;1:5 and 2 LPM),invariant temperature difference(ΔT=20°C),and constant bubble’s number(1400)were *** demonstrate the effect of bubble size,a sparger with orifice diameters of 0.1,0.8,and 1.5 mm was manufactured and used in the *** overall heat transfer coefficient(U),NTU,effectiveness,and pressure loss were *** experimental results clearly showed that the heat exchanger’s thermal efficiency significantly improved with increasing the shell side flow rate and the injected air flow *** maximum improvement in U,NTU,and effectiveness was 153%,153%,and 68%,*** thermal performance of the heat exchanger was shown to be improved with increasing the bubble *** the latter finding agrees with recent CFD published results,more studies need to be confirmed.

Anorectal malformation(ARM)is a frequently occurring surgical condition in neonates,with a prevalence of 1 in 4000 live births.'In boys with this anomaly,the rectum and urinary tract share a common wall for some distance,often ending up in fistulous *** goals of definite reconstruction are to separate the rectum from the urinary tract without injuring the urethra and mobilizing the rectum to the perineum within the muscle *** the rectum and the urinary tract is the most critical part of this operation and is associated with a significant risk of urinary tract injury.2-5 The original procedure described by Pena and Devries involves multiple stay sutures on the rectal mucosa just above the fistula,lifting the mucosa and continuing a submucosal dissection up to the prostate,where the entire thickness of the intestine can be separated from the urinary tract.

sclerosing mucoepidermoid thyroid cancer (sMECE) is a rare entity with less than 100 cases reported in the literature. Previously considered to have an indolent course, however, recent evidence has reported an aggressive nature ranging from local invasion to distant metastasis. We present a 66-year-old Caucasian female with sMECE who initially presented neck compressive symptoms. A thyroid ultrasound (Us) revealed a solid hypoechoic mass replacing the left thyroid lobe. Fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) of the nodule resulted in suspicion of Papillary Thyroid Cancer, Bethesda category 5. The patient underwent total thyroidectomy and surgical pathology showed sMECE. Post-therapy whole-body scan following treatment with 150 mCi I-131 showed no residual or metastatic disease. sMECE is more common in females, between the third to eighth decade of life. Preoperative diagnosis may not be accurate given variable cytopathologic features. Differential diagnoses include primary squamous cell carcinoma of the thyroid, squamous differentiation of other thyroid malignancies, anaplastic thyroid cancer and nodular sclerosing variety of Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Due to its rarity, treatment of sMECE has ranged from thyroid surgery without or with radioactive iodine therapy, to surgery and external beam radiation and even chemotherapy.

In this study we used the deep eutectic solvents (ionic liquids) to investigate the reaction between copper (II) with ethylene diamine (en). Two of the existing methods for analyzing spectrophotometric measurements have been applied for establishing, the stoichiometry and whenever possible, the stability constants of the chelates formed. The method of continuous variations was necessary to determine first whether, the metal ion and the ligand ethylene diamine form one or more than one chelate, when more than one chelate formed, the results obtained depend on the wavelength and for meaningful conclusions the wavelengths were carefully selected. The empirical formulae of the chelates were further substantiated by the molar ratio method. The effect of time and temperature on the formation and stability of these chelates in solution is also studied. The stability constants, K1 and K2 for the copper (II) chelates were calculated, though reliable, and are comparable to literature values.

Wind energy has posed new challenges in both transmission and distribution systems owing to its uncertain nature. The effect of wind turbines (WTs) on the actual payments charged by upstream networks to distribution system companies (DIsCOs) is one challenge. Moreover, when the grid-connected inverters of WT operate in the lead or lag modes, WTs absorb or inject reactive power from the system. This paper proposes an approach to assess the importance of operation modes of WTs to minimize the costs by DIsCOs in the presence of system uncertainties. Accordingly, an optimization problem is formulated to minimize the costs to DIsCO by determining the optimal locations and sizes of WTs in optimally reconfigured distribution systems. In addition, an improved vector-based swarm optimization (IVBsO) algorithm is proposed because it is highly suitable for vector-based problems. Two distribution systems are used in the simulations to evaluate the proposed algorithm. Firstly, the capabilities of the IVBsO algorithm to determine better solutions over other heuristic algorithms are confirmed using the IEEE 33-bus test system. secondly, the BijanAbad distribution system (BDs) is used to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed optimization problem. Accordingly, the distribution system model, cumulative distribution function of wind speed, and load profile are all extracted from the actual data of the BijanAbad region. Finally, the optimization problem is applied to BDs in both the lead and lag modes of WTs. Results indicate that the total costs of DIsCO are lower when WTs operate in the lag mode than in the lead mode.
