Temperature-jump tensile tests to induce optimized TRIP/TWIP effect in a metastable austenitic stainless steel

In the present work,plastic deformation mechanisms were initially tailored by adjusting the deformation temperature in the range of 0 to 200℃ in AISI 304L austenitic stainless steel,aiming to optimize the strength-ductility *** was shown that the combined twinning-induced plasticity(TWIP)/transformation-induced plasticity(TRIP)effects and a wider strain range for the TRIP effect up to higher strains by adjusting the deformation temperature are good strategies to improve the strength-ductility synergy of this metastable stainless *** this regard,by consideration of the observed temperature-dependency of plastic deformation,the controlled sequence of TWIP and TRIP effects for archiving superior strength-ductility trade-off was intended by the pre-designed temperature jump tensile ***,the optimum tensile toughness of 846 MJ/m^(3) and total elongation to 133% were obtained by this strategy via exploiting the advantages of the TWIP effect at 100℃ and the TRIP effect at 25℃ at the later stages of the ***,a deformation-temperature-transformation(DTT)diagram was developed for this metastable ***,based on work-hardening analysis,it was found that the main phenomenon constraining further improvement in the ductility and strengthening was the yielding of the deformation-induced α′-martensite.

The effects of deformation temperature on the transformation-induced plasticity(TRIP)-aided 304L,twinning-induced plasti-city(TWIP)-assisted 316L,and highly alloyed stable 904L austenitic stainless steels were compared for the first time to tune the mechan-ical properties,strengthening mechanisms,and strength-ductility *** this purpose,the scanning electron microscopy(SEM),electron backscattered diffraction(EBSD),X-ray diffraction(XRD),tensile testing,work-hardening analysis,and thermodynamics calcu-lations were *** induced plasticity effects led to a high temperature-dependency of work-hardening behavior in the 304L and 316L stainless *** the deformation temperature increased,the metastable 304L stainless steel showed the sequence of TRIP,TWIP,and weakening of the induced plasticity mechanism;while the disappearance of the TWIP effect in the 316L stainless steel was also ***,the solid-solution strengthening in the 904L superaustenitic stainless steel maintained the tensile properties over a wide temper-ature range,surpassing the performance of 304L and 316L stainless *** this regard,the dependency of the total elongation on the de-formation temperature was less pronounced for the 904L alloy due to the absence of additional plasticity *** results re-vealed the importance of solid-solution strengthening and the associated high friction stress for superior mechanical behavior over a wide temperature range.

Growing concerns for food security and the alleviation of hunger necessitate knowledge-based crop management technologies for sustainable crop *** this study,13 winter bread wheat genotypes(old,relatively old,modern,and breeding lines)were evaluated under three different tillage systems,i.e.,conventional tillage(CT,full tillage with residue removed),reduced tillage(RT,chisel tillage with residue retained)and no-tillage(NT,no-tillage with residue retained on the soil surface)in farmer’s fields under rainfed conditions using strip-plot arrangements in a randomized complete block design with three replications in the west of Iran(Kamyaran and Hosseinabad locations)over two cropping seasons(2018–2019 and 2019–2020).The main objectives were to investigate the effects of tillage systems and growing conditions on the agronomic characteristics,grain yield and stability performance of rainfed winter bread wheat ***(P<0.01)genotype×tillage system interaction effects on grain yield and agronomic traits suggested that the genotypes responded differently to the different tillage *** number of grains per spike and plant height were positively(P<0.0)associated with grain yield under the NT system,so they may be considered as targeted traits for future wheat *** statistical models,the modern cultivars(“Sadra”and“Baran”)were identified as high yielding and showed yield stability across the different tillage *** per each tillage system,genotype“Sadra”followed by“Zargana-6//Dari 1-7 Sabalan”exhibited higher adaption to CT;while cultivars“Jam”and“Azar2”showed better performance under the RT system;and cultivars“Varan”and“Baran”tended to have better performance expression in the NT *** increased grain yields achieved in combination with lower costs and greater profits from conservation agriculture suggest that adapted cultivar and NT systems should be evaluated and promoted more widely to farmers in the west of Iran as an a

In this study,Au nanoparticles/poly 5-[（2-hydroxynaphthalen-l-yl）diazenyl]isophthalic acid film modified glassy carbon electrode（AuNPs/poly（NDI）/GCE） has shown excellent electrocatalytic activity toward the oxidation of adrenaline（ADR）,paracetamol（PAC）,and tryptophan（Trp）.The bare glassy carbon electrode（GCE） fails to separate the oxidation peak potentials of these molecules,while the poly（NDI） film modified electrode can resolve *** impedance spectroscopy（EIS）indicates that the charge transfer resistance of the bare electrode decreases as 5-[（2-hydroxynaphthalen-l-yl）diazenyl]isophthalic acid is electropolymerized on the bare ***,EIS exhibits enhancement of electron transfer kinetics between analytes and the electrode after electrodeposition of Au *** pulse voltammetry results show that the electrocatalytic current increases linearly in the ranges of 0.01-680.0 μmol L^-1 for ADR,0.05-498.0 μmol L^-1 for PAC,and 3.0-632.0 μmol L^-1 for Trp;with detection limits（S/N = 3） of 0.009 μmol L^-1,0.005 μmol L^-1,and 0.09 μmol L^-1 for ADR,PAC,and Trp,*** proposed method has been successfully applied for simultaneous determination of ADR,PAC,and Trp in biological samples.

We assessed the potential of white poplar（Populus alba L.） and its inter-sectional hybridization with euphrates poplar（P. euphratica Oliv.） for carbon storage and sequestration in central Iran. Trials were established at planting density of 2,500 trees per hectare in block randomized design with three replicates. After 6 years, we measured the above-ground biomass of tree components（trunk, branch, bark, twig and leaf）, and assessed soil carbon at three depths. P. alba 9 euphratica plantation stored significantly more carbon（22.3 t ha-1） than P. alba（16.7 t ha-1） and P. euphratica 9 alba（13.1 t ha-1）.Most of the carbon was accumulated in the above-ground biomass（61.1 % in P. alba, 72.4 % in P. alba 9 euphratica and 56.0 % in P. euphratica 9 alba）. There was no significant difference in soil carbon storage. Also, biomass allocation was different between white poplar P. alba and its inter-sectional hybridization. Therefore, there was a yield difference due to genomic imprinting, which increased the possibility that paternally and maternally inherited wood production alleles would be differentially expressed in the new crossing.

Inflammatory bowel disease(IBD)refers to a group of disorders characterized by chronic inflammation of the gastrointestinal(GI)*** elevated levels of nitric oxide(NO)in serum and affected tissues;mainly synthesized by the inducible nitric oxide synthase(iNOS)enzyme;can exacerbate GI inflammation and is one of the major biomarkers of GI *** natural and synthetic agents are able to ameliorate GI inflammation and decrease iNOS expression to the extent comparable with some IBD ***,the purpose of this study was to gather a list of natural or synthetic mediators capable of modulating IBD through the NO *** databases including Google Scholar and PubMed were searched from 1980 to May *** found that polyphenols and particularly flavonoids are able to markedly attenuate NO production and iNOS expression through the nuclear factorκB(NF-κB)and JAK/STAT signaling *** and probiotics can also alter the GI microbiota and reduce NO expression in IBD models through a broad array of mechanisms.A number of synthetic molecules have been found to suppress NO expression either dependent on the NF-κB signaling pathway(i.e.,dexamethasone,pioglitazone,tropisetron)or independent from this pathway(i.e.,nicotine,prednisolone,celecoxib,β-adrenoceptor antagonists).Co-administration of natural and synthetic agents can affect the tissue level of NO and may improve IBD symptoms mainly by modulating the Toll like receptor-4 and NF-κB signaling pathways.

Toll-like receptors are well-defined barriers in innate immunity. Among them hTLR4 on the surface of monocytes, plays a critical role in the formation of atherosclerotic plaques, plaque instability and arterial remodeling through production of inflammatory cytokines. This study was designed to examine the association of hTLR4 monocyte expression and response with the severity of coronary stenosis in patients with stable angina (SA). Blood samples were obtained from 39 patients with SA who were scheduled for a coronary angiography and from 28 healthy volunteers. The samples were collected before the procedure. Expression of hTLR4 on CD14+ monocytes and serum levels of TNF-α and IL-1β were measured using flowcytometry and ELISA techniques respectively. Percentage stenosis diameter was measured by comparing the area of coronary stenosis to an adjacent normal segment of the vessel. Compared with control group, patients showed upregulation of hTLR4+/CD14+ monocytes. Furthermore, patients with more severe coronary stenosis exhibited enhanced expression of hTLR4+/CD14+ monocytes (p α (p β. In addition, significant correlations were seen between percentage stenosis diameter and monocyte expression of hTLR4 as well as TNF-α. hTLR4 monocytic expression and related cytokines are positively associated percentage stenosis diameter. These results suggest that hTLR4 activity may be involved in progression of atherosclerosis.
