The ma.n focus of the resea.ch wa. to correla.e the microstructure with dielectric a.d ma.netic properties of Bi1-xBa.FeO3 sa.ples. Bi1-xBa.FeO3 sa.ples（x = 0.1, 0.2 a.d 0.3） were synthesized by the conventiona. solid-sta.e rea.tion method using na.o-powders of Bi2O3, Fe2O3, a.d Ba.O3. Therea.ter, field emission sca.ning electron microscope a.d X-ra. diffra.tion（XRD） techniques were used to exa.ine the structure a.d pha.e of the sa.ples. Pha.e a.a.ysis by XRD indica.ed tha. the single-pha.e perovskite structure wa. formed with possible increment in la.tice pa.a.eter with increa.ing Ba.doping. Complex permea.ility（u＇ia.d u＇＇i） mea.ured using impeda.ce a.a.yzer confirmed the increa.e in ma.netic property with increa.ing Ba.doping. Effects of va.ia.ion in seed sources a.d pre-sowing trea.ments on seed germina.ion of Ta.a.indus indica. a.multi-purpose tree species in Ba.gla.esh

We investiga.ed the morphology a.d germina.ion of Ta.a.indus indica.seeds in order to discover the ef- fects of va.ia.ion in seed sources a.d pre-sowing trea.ments on germina.ion. The experiment wa. ca.ried out in the nursery of the Forestry a.d Wood Technology Discipline, Khulna.University, Ba.gla.esh. Seeds were collected from different but hea.thy trees from va.ious loca.ions in Ba.gla.esh a.d subjected to four pre-sowing trea.ments, i.e., control, immersion in cold wa.er （4℃ for 24 h）, immersion in hot wa.er （80℃ for 10 min） a.d sca.ifica.ion with sa.d pa.er. Seed germina.ion wa. ca.ried out in poly-ba.s with a.mixture of topsoil a.d cow dung in the ra.io of 3：1. The a.era.e length of the fresh seeds wa. 1.35 ＋ 0.26 cm, their width 1.07 ＋ 0.20 cm a.d thickness 0.69 ＋ 0.11 cm. The results revea.ed tha. pre-sowing trea.ments a.fected the germina.ion process of seeds, which significa.tly increa.ed the germina.ion percenta.e with the cold wa.er （81.67%） a.d sca.ifica.ion with sa.d pa.er （82.33%） trea.ments, compa.ed with those in the control （58.33%） a.d hot wa.er trea.ment （59.00%）. In a.l trea.ments germina.ion sta.ted on a.era.e within 5 to 7 da.s a.ter the sta.t of the trea.ments a.d were completed from 13 to 19 da.s la.er. The grea.est success in germina.ion （82.33%） wa. found in sca.ifica.ion with sa.d pa.er, followed with 81.67% in the cold wa.er trea.ment. The results of a.a.yses of va.ia.ce （a.OVa. showed significa.t differences （p 〈 0.05） in germina.ion closing da.es, seed germina.ion periods a.d germina.ion percenta.es a.ong the trea.ments but no significa.t difference a.ong seed sources. However, the effect of the intera.tion between seed source va.ia.ion a.d pre-trea.ment differed significa.tly in seed germina.ion closing da.es a.d germina.ion percenta.es. We recommend cold wa.er trea.ment （submersion of seed a. a.tempera.ure of 4℃ for a.24-h period） for seed germina.ion of T. indica.in rura. Ba.gla.esh.

The present study wa. ca.ried out to a.cess correla.ion coefficient, pa.h a.a.ysis a.d genetic va.ia.ility a.ong twenty one loca.ly developed ma.ze hybrids for ten cha.a.ters. Positive a.d significa.t genotypic, phenotypic correla.ion coefficient were recorded for yield with a.thesis silking interva. (rg = 1.00**, rp = 0.96**), cob dia.eter (rg = 0.99** a.d rp = 0.95**) a.d ea. height (rg = 0.98** a.d rp = 0.94**). But da.s to 50% ta.seling ha. modera.e but significa.t positive correla.ion a. both phenotypic a.d genotypic level. High genotypic coefficient of va.ia.ion (GCV) wa. obta.ned from thousa.d seed weight, da.s to 50% silking, cob dia.eter a.d a.thesis silking interva.. The highest phenotypic coefficient of va.ia.ion (PCV) wa. observed in thousa.d seed weight followed by da.s to 50% silking a.d cob dia.eter. The highest herita.ility (Hb) wa. observed for cob dia.eter (95.25) followed by da.s to 50% silking (94.15), da.s to ma.urity (93.85) a.d ea. height (93.06). The cha.a.ters with high GCV a.d higher va.ues of herita.ility indica.ed high potentia. for selection. a.thesis silking interva. (0.79) ha. the highest positive direct effect on yield followed by cob dia.eter (0.31), cob length (0.31) a.d pla.t height (0.04) indica.ing the effectiveness of direct selection. While some other cha.a.ters such a. da.s to 50% ta.seling (-0.12), da.s to 50% silking (-1.78), ea. height (-1.16), da.s to ma.urity (-0.64) exhibited indirect nega.ive effect on yield indica.ing the effectiveness of indirect selection.

This study wa. ca.ried out to a.sess the rela.ionship of the sta.us of nodula.ion(i.e., the number of nodules, their sha.e a.d size) in root a.d bioma.s production of pla.t growth pa.a.eters(i.e., number of lea.es, root a.d shoot lengths, root bioma.s a.d shoot bioma.s) in a.bizia.sa.a. a.d Leuca.na.leucocepha.a. The a.sessment sta.ted 60 da.s a.ter seeding. The study revea.ed tha. nodula.ion response a.d bioma.s production in both species showed significa.t differences over time(p a.l va.ia.les except in the root-shoot ra.io(oven-dry) of L. leucocepha.a. The study a.so showed significa.t differences(p a.ion a.d bioma.s production a. the end of the study period between the two species except in the number of nodules a.d lea.es a.d the green root-shoot ra.io. There were strong positive correla.ions between nodule forma.ion a.d bioma.s production, i.e., the number of nodules a.d the a.e of pla.ts, the number of nodules a.d lea.es, a. well a. the number of nodules a.d bioma.s(root bioma.s a.d shoot bioma.s) in both species. The results obta.ned using principa. component a.a.ysis(PCa. a.d correla.ion coefficients of the different cha.a.teristics of nodula.ion a.d bioma.s production were simila. in both species. The PCa.showed tha. shoot bioma.s(shoot green weight a.d shoot oven-dry weight) is positively correla.ed with PC1(with a. eigenva.ue of 7.50) a.d root length is positively correla.ed with PC2(with a. eigenva.ue of 0.19) in the ca.e of a. sa.a.. Most olefins （e.g., ethylene a.d propylene） will continue to be produced through stea. cra.king （SC） ofhydroca.bons in the coming deca.e. In a. uncerta.n commodity ma.ket, the chemica. industry is investingvery little in a.terna.ive technologies a.d feedstocks beca.se of their current la.k of economic via.ility,despite decrea.ing crude oil reserves a.d the recognition of globa. wa.ming. In this perspective, some of themost promising a.terna.ives a.e compa.ed with the conventiona. SC process, a.d the ma.or bottlenecks ofea.h of the competing processes a.e highlighted. These technologies emerge especia.ly from the a.unda.ceof chea. propa.e, etha.e, a.d metha.e from sha.e ga. a.d stra.ded ga.. From a. economic point of view,metha.e is a. interesting sta.ting ma.eria., if chemica.s ca. be produced from it. The huge a.a.la.ility ofcrude oil a.d the expected substa.tia. decline in the dema.d for fuels imply tha. the future for proventechnologies such a. Fischer-Tropsch synthesis （FFS） or metha.ol to ga.oline is not bright.
