Objective:To observe the effects of vitamin E on post-vitrification preimplantation development,gross morphology as well as mitochondrial distribution and ***:Twenty-four female C57BL/6NTac mice,aged 12-16 weeks,were randomly divided into four *** A did not receive any treatment and served as the control *** B was treated with corn oil stripped of tocopherols and served as the vehicle *** C was treated with 60 mg/kg body weight of tocotrienol-rich-fraction with corn oil stripped of *** D was treated with 60 mg/kg body weight of alpha-tocopherol with corn oil stripped of *** treatments were administered orally for 7 consecutive *** superovulation and mating with fertile males,2-cell stage embryos were harvested for *** vitrification development in vitro,gross morphology and ultrastructure were compared between ***:The number of 2 and 8-cell embryo,and blastocysts in the treatment and control groups were not significantly different(P>0.05).Following vitrification,all 2-cell embryos had equal-sized blastomeres and intact zona *** aggregation toward the perinuclear region was seen in all of the treatment *** groups C and D had vacuolated mitochondria,which was reflected in the trend of preimplantation development ***:Vitamin E supplementation of 60 mg/kg body weight does not improve the viability of healthy embryos according to this *** a result,the most effective dose of vitamin E supplementation may be determined by the initial quality of the embryos.

Objective: To evaluate the impact of Olea (O.) europaea extract on markers of oxidative stress and apoptosis of ovarian tissues in a rat model of torsion/detorsion-induced ovarian damage. Methods: A total of 28 Wistar female rats were randomly assigned into 4 groups, with 7 rats in each group. The sham group received a 2.5 cm longitudinal incision in the midline part of the abdomen which was then sutured with 5-0 nylon thread;the torsion/detorsion group underwent torsion induction for 3 h followed by reperfusion for 10 days;the torsion/detorsion+O. europaea group received 300 mg/kg hydro-alcoholic extract of O. europaea 30 min before detorsion, followed by reperfusion for 10 days;and the O. europaea group only received 300 mg/kg hydro-alcoholic extract of O. europaea for 10 days. After the treatment period, blood samples were taken;the levels of estrogen, glutathione peroxidase, superoxide dismutase, and malondialdehyde were assayed. The histological changes, as well as the rate of apoptosis in ovarian tissues, were also carried out by histomorphometric analysis at day 10 post-procedure. Results: Histological comparisons demonstrated a significant detrimental change in the torsion/detorsion group as compared with other groups. The number of pre-antral and antral follicles and corpus luteum was significantly decreased in the torsion/detorsion group compared with the sham group, while treatment with O. europaea could enhance their numbers (P<0.05). The index of apoptosis and the number of atretic body in the ovarian tissue were significantly higher in the torsion/detorsion group compared with the sham group (P<0.05). The concentrations of glutathione peroxidase, estrogen, and superoxide dismutase as well as the mRNA expression of Bcl-2 were considerably diminished in the torsion/detorsion group while they were elevated in the torsion/detorsion+O. europaea group (P<0.05) compared with the torsion/detorsion group. The Evolution of Iron-Related Comorbidities and Hospitalization in Patients with Hemochromatosis:An Analysis of the Nationwide Inpatient Sample

Hemochromatosis,either hereditary hemochromatosis(HH)or secondary hemochromatosis,consists of the accumulation of iron in the liver,heart,and other *** leads to end-organ damage in a proportion of affected *** liver-related morbidity(cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma[HCC])and mortality are well established,the frequency of these complications remains *** aim of this study is to examine the rate of hospitalization and the incidence of iron overload-related comorbidities in patients with hemochromatosis between the years of 2002 and *** queried the Nationwide Inpatient Sample(NIS)database from the year 2002 to *** included adults(age≥18 years)and used the ICD-CM 9 code 275.0x to identify hospitalized patients with a diagnosis of *** analysis for this study was generated using SAS software version 9.4.A total of 168,614 hospitalized patients between 2002 and 2010 had a diagnosis of *** majority were males(57%)with a median age of 54 years(37–68),with a predominance of white patients(63.3%)followed by black(26.8%).The rate of hospitalization among patients with hemochromatosis increased by 79%between the years 2002 and 2010(34.5/100,000 in 2002 vs 61.4/100,000 in 2010).The main associated diagnoses were diabetes mellitus(20.2%),cardiac disease,including arrhythmias(14%)and cardiomyopathy(dilated 3.8%;peri-,endo-,myocarditis 1.3%),liver cirrhosis(8.6%),HCC(1.6%),and acute liver failure(0.81%).Of note,HCC was associated with cirrhosis in 1188 patients(43%of HCC patients)and male sex(87%).Diagnostic biopsies were performed in 6023(3.6%)of those patients and liver transplant was performed in 881(0.5%).In-hospital mortality occurred in 3638(2.16%)*** this large database study,we found a rising trend in hospitalization for hemochromatosis,possibly due to the increased recognition of this entity and billing for the *** incidence of cirrhosis in hemochromatosis was found to be simi

Energy Harvesting From Sea Waves With Consideration of Airy and JONSWAP Theory and Optimization of Energy Harvester Parameters

One of the new methods for powering low-power electronic devices at sea is a wave energy harvesting system. In this method, piezoelectric material is employed to convert the mechanical energy of sea waves into electrical energy. The advantage of this method is based on avoiding a battery charging system. Studies have been done on energy harvesting from sea waves, however, considering energy harvesting with random JONSWAP wave theory, then determining the optimum values of energy harvested is new. This paper does that by implementing the JONSWAP wave model, calculating produced power, and realistically showing that output power is decreased in comparison with the more simple Airy wave model. In addition, parameters of the energy harvester system are optimized using a simulated annealing algorithm, yielding increased produced power.

The study aims to afford a deeper knowledge on reproductive biology of Mystus bleekeri from Surma River,Bangladesh in a multidisciplinary ***,the species is in demand as food and ornamental fish in Bangladesh but still now comprehensive details on reproductive biology of this species is *** 600 fish samples were derived from commercial catches from July 2018 to June *** differences in sex ratio,size distribution,condition factor(Kn),fecundity,gonadosomatic index and gonadal maturation cycle were *** results showed 384(64%)female and 216(36%)male with an overall sex ratio of 1.77:1(female:male).Mean total length(TL)and body weight(BW)of all fish studied were 14.85±3.38 cm TL and 27.54±15.76 g,*** Kn varied with length groups,the highest(1.45±0.23)and lowest(0.89±0.18)values obtained in 16.0-16.9 and 10.0-10.9 cm TL groups,*** highest Kn was documented in October while the lowest was in *** GSI values showed two peaks in July and November for both the *** fecundity was found to vary from 1120 to 14790 eggs with average value of 4968±3047 with 14.4-18.3 cm in TL and 19.97-34.7g in *** relationship of fecundity with TL and BW was F=1.385TL13.405,r^(2)=0.885 and F=5.201BW^(4.827),r^(2)=*** behavior of spawning together with allochronic oocytes development has also been found through *** results of this study could be used for predicting the response of populations of fish in Surma River and/or other where to human interferences and environmental change.

【Research Objectives】 Short term extreme temperature(ET) has been predicted to fluctuate in rice yield and quality under future climate. The objectives of this study were to explore the mechanism by which the extreme temperature impacts on rice yield and quality during the diverse growth stages through morpho-physiology, physiochemical and particular gene expressions observation.【Methods】From the verdict of last decade climate, extreme high temperature(EHT) and extreme low temperature(ELT) were exposed(from 7-0 days before heading(DBH);1-7 days after heading(DAH);8-14 DAH and 15-21 DAH) to Wanxiangyouhuazhan(V1) and Rongyouhuazhan(V2) cultivars in controlled climatic chamber.【Results】ET significantly decline yield, seed setting rate, filled grain number, chlorophyll fluorescence, chlorophyll index and photosynthetic components across both cultivars. Averaged across both the cultivars, grain yield was reduced by12%-17%. Conversely, EHT and ELT significantly reduced the amylose content, peak, trough and final viscosity, breakdown, peak time, brown rice(%), milled rice(%), head rice(%) and grain length-width ratio across cultivars and stages. Inversely, a significant enhanced response in case of protein content, gelatinization temperature, broken rice(%), chalkiness number(%), chalkiness area(%) and transparency with extreme temperature. Interestingly, 8-14 DAH stage showed the most prominent impact among almost all the parameters under EHT exposure and we focused to examine the gene expression at 4 th and 7 th days of treatment. EHT significantly increased the expression of Os AAP6 gene and decrease expression of Waxy gene, which results consistently with protein and amylose content in both rice cultivars, respectively.【Conclusion】Interestingly, EHT exhibited prominent strain than ELT at initial grain filling and will severely distress global food quality, nutrition and security. The present study investigated the potential probiotic effect of Enterococcus faecalis against a pathogenic microorganism,Vibrio harveyi occurring in the giant freshwater prawn(Macrobrachium rosenbergii).*** was isolated from the intestine of *** through biochemical tests and PCR-based molecular *** in-vitro challenge was conducted by mixing isolated probiotic(5.12 log CFU/g)and ***(3.09 log CFU/g).Feeds incorporated with ***(9.02 log CFU/g)were applied to the treatment group during in vivo test in the aquarium and earthen pond(70 m^(2),1 m depth).Pathogenic bacteria were found to be reduced after 8 h(from 5.02 to 3.62 log CFU/g)and 60 days(from 5.44 to 2.15 log CFU/g)of probiotic administration in the in vitro and in vivo test,*** *** mixed feed also showed higher weight gain(WG%,481.22%±17.71%;SGR%,2.93%±0.18%)and digestive enzymes activities(amylase,1.26±0.08 unit/mg;protease,2.78±0.02 unit/mg)compared to control group(WG%,371.31%±13.35%;SGR%,2.30%±0.32%;amylase,0.7±0.03 unit/mg;protease,1.82±0.02 unit/mg).Furthermore,the probiotic also improved the immune response by augmenting NGH(from 73.33%±0.23%to 74.63%±0.11%)and SGH(from 22.24%±0.06%to 23.13%±0.08%)in the treatment ***,*** could be recommended to use against bacterial infections of the ***.

阿月浑子树木虱Agonoscena pistaciaeBurckhardt and Lauterer（半翅目：木虱总科）是伊朗园林树木阿月浑子树上常见的最具破坏性的害虫,其捕食性天敌锈褐原花蝽Anthocoris minki pistaciaeWagner在伊朗阿月浑子树种植区为该害虫的生防因子。本研究在17.5~35℃的8个恒温以及相对湿度55%±5%,光照周期16L∶8D的控制条件下,在***若虫上饲养这种捕食性花蝽的同时,调查温度对其发育的影响。结果表明：这种捕食性花蝽在17.5~32℃下可成功发育;然而在35℃下,卵不能孵化,且只有10%的若虫进入成虫阶段。30℃下从卵至成虫羽化的发育历期最短。据测算估计,这种捕食性花蝽的卵、若虫发育以及整个发育（卵至成虫）的积温分别为77,200和263度.日;卵、若虫和整个发育的低温度阈值分别为8.53,9.2和9.47℃。这些结果为建立阿月浑子树木虱的综合防治计划提供了宝贵的信息。
