Resveratrol downregulates TGF-β1 and Smad3 expression and attenuates oxidative stress in CCl_4-induced kidney damage in rats

Objective:To evaluate the effect of resveratrol against CCl4-induced ***:Forty-two male Wistar rats were divided into seven groups *** six weeks,kidney weight,body weight,blood urea,serum creatinine,oxidative stress markers,and gene expression of renal transforming growth factor-beta1(TGF-β1),TGF-βreceptor type 1(TGF-βR1)and Smad3 were *** addition,the protein level of TGF-β1 in the tissue lysate was ***:Resveratrol had a protective role in renal tissue by the improvement of antioxidant balance and reduction of renal parameters such as creatinine and urea(P<0.001).In addition,the renal m RNA level of TGF-β1,TGF-βR1,Smad3,as well as the protein level of TGF-β1 were decreased in rats treated with resveratrol(P<0.001),compared to the CCl4 ***:Overall,resveratrol shows a protective effect against nephrotoxicity in CCl4 treated rats by reducing oxidative stress status and modulating the TGF-βsignaling.

Optimized design of a linear vibrating screen based on efficiency maximisation and mesh wear minimisation employing discrete element method

This article investigates the combined effect and the order of influence of feed rate,inclination angle,vibration amplitude,frequency,and angle on the efficiency and mesh wear rate of a linear vibrating screen,as well as the average velocity,and mass of the accumulated *** discrete element modeling simulations were conducted using LIGGGHTS open-source code to analyze particles *** Taguchi method was employed to evaluate the combined effect of the ***,the simulation results were analyzed using analysis of *** optimal values of the parameters for maximising efficiency and minimising mesh wear were determined using grey relational *** results indicated that the most effective parameters on screening efficiency and average velocity of particles were the inclination angle,vibration angle,frequency,amplitude,and feed rate,*** most influential parameters on screen mesh wear rate were feed rate,inclination angle,vibration angle,frequency,and amplitude,respectively.

Studying the particle size ratio effect on granular mixing in a vertically vibrated bed of two particle types
