Assessment of Biosafety Practices in Clinical Laboratories in Khartoum State, Sudan

Background: Several related accidents occur in the laboratories due to insufficient regulation, inappropriate implementation of safety measures or unawareness attitude and practice toward safety precaution. Biosafety is a tool through which we are managing safety and security related to any kinds of hazards that may be either to the human, animals, plants and environment as well. We can implement good laboratory practice to minimize the risk while performing any kind of test procedures, either handling to the samples like blood and other body fluids which is playing important role for infections and transmissible diseases. If we will provide facilities and training to the lab personnel, then we can protect public, agriculture, and the environment from which is leading cause of infections as well as hazards such as biological, chemical, electrical and glassware. For achieving effective and necessary biosafety and security, it should make sure that any unauthorized person is not able to handle, process, transport to minimize loss and misuse of the any kind of hazards especially biohazards. Therefore, it’s highly recommended to make an international system to avoid any kind of biosafety related issues. Objective: Because biosafety is an important element in quality management system (QMS) and it is a fundamental tool for compliance with accreditation and certification standards, the aim of this study was to assess the practices of lab personnel towards biosafety measures in their laboratories. Method: The study was cross-sectional study that conducted among 70 laboratories by use of structured questionnaire. Data analysis was done by using statistical package for social science (SPSS). Result: Among 70 laboratories, 2 (3%) were appointing a biosafety officer, 16 (23%) have fire detection system and fire alarm system, and 20 (29%) of all laboratories were provided by fire extinguisher. Brachyuran Crab Fauna Character Estimated from Marine Water of Bangladesh and Noted New Record (Crustacea: Decapoda) as Distribution

As habitat and distribution, in the study a total of 18 crab species were identified, belonging to 10 families (Calappidae, Epialtidae, Gecarcinidae, Grapsidae, Matutidae, Ocypodidae, Panopeidae, Sesarmidae, Varunidae, and Xanthidae) order Decapoda under subphylum crustacean with relevant distinguish morphological and meristic character and geographical position. We investigated crab species of Bangladesh from December 2013 to October 2014. All species samples were collected by hand picking on a baseline survey in Saint Martin’s Island (the only coral island of Bangladesh) and adjacent marine water body of Bay of Bengal, Satkhira area (brackish and freshwater) and mangrove forest area (Sundarban). Among 18 species, 10 crab species from Family Epialtidae (1 species), Gecarcinidae (2 species), Ocypodidae (1 species), Panopeidae (1 species), Sesarmidae (1 species) and Xanthidae (4 species) were newly occurred in the Bay of Bengal, Bangladesh. Cardisoma armatum and Zosymus aeneus species were larger than other enlisted species.

Anisotropic Standard Decelerating Cosmological Model with Quadratic Equation of State

Spatially homogeneous and anisotropic Bianchi type-I cosmological model containing perfect fluid with quadratic equation of state has been diagnosed in general theory of relativity. To obtain a deterministic solution, we have used a relation between metric potentials. The exact solution of Einstein’s field equations thus obtained represents an expanding and decelerating universe. The physical and kinematical parameters of the model have also been analyzed with certain constrained between the parameters of the quadratic equation of state.

Cloud computing is a kind of computing that depends on shared figuring assets instead of having nearby servers or individual gadgets to deal with applications. Technology is moving to the cloud more and more. It’s not just a trend, the shift away from ancient package models to package as service has steadily gained momentum over the last ten years. Looking forward, the following decade of cloud computing guarantees significantly more approaches to work from anyplace, utilizing cell phones. Cloud computing focused on better performances, better scalability and resource consumption but it also has some security issue with the data stored in it. The proposed algorithm intents to come with some solutions that will reduce the security threats and ensure far better security to the data stored in cloud.

Introduction: Hemorrhoids, more commonly known as piles, are swollen veins, similar to varicose veins in the lower rectum. Hemorrhoids can develop both inside and outside the rectum, and oftentimes, the cause of hemorrhoids remains unknown. This is an extremely common ailment faced by three out of four adults in their lifetime. Hemorrhoids can cause various kinds of complications, but the most common and serious ones are perianal thrombosis and incarcerated prolapsed internal hemorrhoids with subsequent thrombosis. They are accompanied by severe pain in the perianal region, and possible bleeding. Data on the coexistence of hemorrhoids with other conditions are sparse. Some data are consistent with a common pathophysiological link between straining at stool, constipation, and obstetrical events such as pregnancy and delivery. These events are also involved in the development of Chronic Vein Disease (CVD) or Chronic Vein Insufficiency (CVI). CVI is a condition that occurs when the venous walls or valves in the leg veins stop working properly, causing difficulty in blood returning to the heart from the legs. The present study was conducted with an aim to determine the frequency of complaints in hemorrhoidal patients and to assess the possible concomitance between hemorrhoidal disease and chronic venous disease. Hydrostatic reduction of intussusception with intermittent radiography:an alternative to fluoroscopy or ultrasoundguided reduction in low-income and middle-income countries

Background Although hydrostatic reduction of intussusception with ultrasound(US)or fluoroscopy guidance is well known,it is not yet well established in many low-income and middle-income *** aim of the study is to report our results of hydrostatic reduction with intermittent radiography,which has the potential to be practiced in resource-limited *** We retrospectively analyzed our patients with intussusception from 2009 to 2019(11 years).Hydrostatic reduction was performed using water-soluble contrast medium(iopamidol),and reduction was followed with intermittent X-rays taken after every 50 mL of diluted contrast *** procedure was not continuously monitored by US or *** in outcome based on age and gender,and yearly trends of admission for intussusception,types of treatment and mortality were *** Among 672 patients,the ratio of boys to girls was 2.46:1.0,and their ages ranged from 1 month to 15 years(median 8 months).Hydrostatic reduction was performed successfully in 351(52.23%)patients;308(45.83%)patients underwent surgery;and 13(1.93%)patients died before any *** were significant differences in age between patients with successful hydrostatic reduction(median 7 months)and patients needing surgery(median 9 months)(p<0.001).The number of successful hydrostatic reductions increased during the 11 years of the study(R2=0.88).One patient(0.15%)died after hydrostatic reduction,and 10(1.49%)died after *** Hydrostatic reduction with intermittent radiography was performed successfully in more than half of the patients with acceptable complication rates.

Magnetohydrodynamic Boundary Layer Flow of Non-Newtonian Fluid and Combined Heat and Mass Transfer about an Inclined Stretching Sheet

The steady magneto hydrodynamic (MHD) boundary layer flow and combined heat and mass transfer of a non-Newtonian fluid over an inclined stretching sheet have been investigated in the present analysis. The effects of the flow parameters on the velocity, temperature, species concentration, local skin friction, local Nusselt number, and Sherwood number are computed, discussed and have been graphically represented in figures and tables for various values of different parameters. The numerical results are carried out for several values of the combined effects of magnetic parameter M, stretching parameter λ, Prandtl number Pr, Eckert number Ec, Schmidt number Sc, Soret number S0, slip parameter A and Casson parameter n on velocity, temperature and concentration profiles and also the skin-friction coefficient ?f?"(0)?local Nusselt number -θ'(0)?and local Sherwood number -ψ'(0)?are discussed and presented in tabular form. The results pertaining to the present study indicate that the velocity profiles decrease as the increase of magnetic field parameter, but reverse trend arises for the effect of Casson parameter and stretching ratio parameter for both Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids. The temperature profiles increase forthe effect of magnetic parameter, Prandtl number and Eckert number in case of Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids. The concentration profile increases for the effect of Soret number while concentration profile decreases for the increasing values of Schmidt number, magnetic parameter, Prandtl number and Eckert number for both Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids. By considering the cooling plate the numerical results for the skin-friction coefficient f?"(0) , local Nusselt number?-θ'(0) and local Sherwood number ?-ψ'(0) are presented in Tables 1-3.

Fuzzy Logic is used to derive the optimal inventory policies in the Supply Chain (SC) numbers. We examine the performance of the optimal inventory policies by cutting the costs and increasing the supply chain management efficiency. The proposed inventory policy uses multi-agent and Fuzzy logic, and provides managerial insights on the impact of the decision making in all the SC numbers. In particular, we focus on the way in which our agent purchases components using a mixed procurement strategy (combining long and short term planning) and how it sets its prices according to the prevailing market conditions and its own inventory level (because this adaptivity and flexibility are key to its success). In modern global market, one of the most important issues of the supply chain (SC) management is to satisfy changing customer demands and enterprises should enhance the long-term advantage through the optimal inventory control. In this paper an intelligent multi-agent system to simulate supply chain management has been developed.
