In this research,plasma electrolytic oxidation coatings were prepared on AZ31 Mg alloy in a silicate-based solution containing K_(2)TiF_(6) using bipolar and soft sparking waveforms with 10,20,and 30%cathodic duty *** coatings displayed a net-like surface morphology consisted of irregular micro-pores,micro-cracks,fused oxide particles,and a sintered *** to the incorporation of TiO_(2) colloidal particles and the cathodic pulse repair effect,most of the micro-pores were ***-term corrosion performance of the coatings was investigated using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy during immersion in 3.5 wt.%NaCl solution up to 14 *** coating grown by the soft sparking waveform with a 20%cathodic duty cycle having the lowest porosity(6.2%)and a sharp layer concentrated in F element at the substrate/coating interface shows the highest corrosion *** friction coefficient of this coating has remained stable during the sliding even under 5 N normal load,showing relatively higher wear resistance than other *** coating produced using the equivalent unipolar waveform,as the reference specimen,showed the highest friction coefficient and the lowest wear resistance despite its highest micro-hardness.

Estrogen hormones as a group of endocrine disruptive compounds （EDC） can interfere with endocrine system in humans and animals. The goal of this study was to investigate the elimination rate of Estrone （El）, 17β-estradiol （E2） and 17α-ethinyl estradiol （EE2） in Moving Bed Bioreactor （MBBR）. These analytes extracted by Dispersive Liquid-Liquid Microextraction （DLLME） technique, followed by derivatization, and detected by GC/MS. Estrogen removal efficiency in MBBR improved at high solid retention times （SRTs）, which notion is owing to development ofnitrification. Estrogenspecificremovalratewasbetween 0,22-1.45μg.（gVSS） 1.d -1 for natural and synthetic hormones. The adsorption rate was 0.9%-3.2% 0-1.3%, and 0.7%-5.7% for E1, E2, and EE2, respectively. In addition, the biodegradation rates were more than 95% for these compounds. These results illustrated that in MBBR, the hiodegradation and the adsorption to biomass are considered as two significant routes for elimination of estrogenic compounds. As a whole, the deterioration rate of estrogens enhanced by MBBR compared to other biological wastewater treatment processes such as conventional activated sludge.

Given that the development of scour downstream of hydraulic structures increases the risk of structural damage,it is important to find cost-effective and environmental approaches to reduce this *** study aimed to experimentally evaluate the effect of synthetic fibers on the scour profile downstream of a sluice gate with a rigid *** were performed with the same Froude number and with different weight percentages of synthetic fibers on both non-cohesive and cohesive *** uniform sand was used as the non-cohesive sediment,and three different cohesive sediments were prepared by mixing different percentages of kaolinite soil with the used *** scouring experiments showed that the presence of synthetic fibers did not considerably affect the scour hole dimension in non-cohesive *** of the scour in the cohesive sediments in silty sand(SM)texture found that an increase in the percentage of silt reduced the scour hole *** effect of synthetic fibers on scour of SM-texture-based sediments was also investigated,and the results showed that increasing the percentage of synthetic fibers decreased the scour hole *** addition,the cohesive sediments in SM texture did not have a similar non-dimensional scour profile,and the presence of synthetic fibers did not significantly affect the scour hole.

Localization of sensor nodes in the internet of underwater things(IoUT)is of considerable significance due to its various applications,such as navigation,data tagging,and detection of underwater ***,in this paper,we propose a hybrid Bayesian multidimensional scaling(BMDS)based localization technique that can work on a fully hybrid IoUT network where the nodes can communicate using either optical,magnetic induction,and acoustic *** communication technologies are already used for communication in the underwater environment;however,lacking localization *** and magnetic induction communication achieves higher data rates for short *** the contrary,acoustic waves provide a low data rate for long-range underwater *** proposed method collectively uses optical,magnetic induction,and acoustic communication-based ranging to estimate the underwater sensor nodes’final ***,we also analyze the proposed scheme by deriving the hybrid Cramer-Rao lower bound(H-CRLB).Simulation results provide a complete comparative analysis of the proposed method with the literature.

Accelerator-based neutron sources could outstandingly compete with the reactor-based ones, which are widely used for research aims and radioisotope *** neutron sources are used by many research centers. In this work, the potential of natural uranium spallation target irradiated by low-energy protons for production of an external neutron source was *** code was used to model the spallation target. The results showed using 30-Me V protons of 100 μA current a neutron flux in order of 10~7n/s cm^2 leaks from an optimized-dimension target. Different physical models available in the computational code do not result in significant relative discrepancies for neutron yield and deposited heat calculations. Water with a velocity of 0.6 m/s can be used as coolant for the spallation target to keep the surface temperature under 100 °C at atmospheric pressure.

Tractor as one of the most widely used agricultural machinery should be considered from different *** frequent application of clutch and brake pedals and also the steering wheel within farms,along with the unfavorable working conditions,cause negative effects on the occupational health of the tractor ***,in this research,the imposed forces on three engaged muscles including:Gastrocnemius,Trapezius and Quadrate’s lumborum of the tractor drivers during clutching have been *** this regard,algometer device was used to determine the applied forces on selective muscles of drivers during clutching of MF285 and MF399 *** experiments were performed employing sample of 30 drivers and were conducted on two Iranian frequently used tractors including:MF285 and MF399 *** results showed that the clutching forces for MF285 and MF399 tractors were 340 N and 290 N,*** knee angle of the drivers of the two tractors was statistically different at the one percent level of *** reduction of pain threshold after 30 and 60 s clutching and also 60 s rest after clutching in MF285 tractor,for all three muscles,were more than those of MF399 *** impact of clutching on the average decreases of pain threshold,for all drivers and all clutching periods,during and after clutching,in the Quadratus lumborum muscle was more than the other two muscles,in both *** order to reduce the clutching force for MF285 tractor some modifications is *** this regard the force transfer joint between the pedal and the clutch release linkage may be replaced with one made of cast iron.

In the present study,hydraulic and thermal behavior of an automatic transmission nano-fluid(ATNF) inside a tube with a twisted tape has been *** heat transfer improvement and pressure drop of transmission oil for each of case of using twisted tape and nano-particles were also examined separately and compared with each *** Cu O nano-particles were used to prepare the *** effects of different Reynolds numbers and different mass fractions of nano-particle were *** results showed that applying nano-particles and twisted tape simultaneously increases both the pressure drop and Nusselt number,on average by about 53% and 76%,*** using a parameter,namely thermal performance index η,the effect of increasing heat transfer and pressure drop was studied *** heat transfer improvement predominates the pressure drop increment in all *** was observed that the highest thermal performance of 1.9 was obtained at Re=634 and Φ=2%.Furthermore,regarding the increment of the Nu number,it was shown that the use of twisted tapes individually could increase the average Nu number by 41%,while the max increment arising from individual use of 2% nano-particles is 13%,so using twisted tape is a more effective-technique for this case study.
