This work carried out a measurement study of the Ethereum Peer-to-Peer(P2P)network to gain a better understanding of the underlying *** was applied because it pioneered distributed applications,smart contracts,and ***,its application layer language“Solidity”is widely used in smart contracts across different public and private *** this end,we wrote a new Ethereum client based on Geth to collect Ethereum node ***,various web scrapers have been written to collect nodes’historical data fromthe Internet Archive and the Wayback Machine *** collected data has been compared with two other services that harvest the number of *** has collectedmore than 30% more than the other *** data trained a neural network model regarding time series to predict the number of online nodes in the *** findings show that there are less than 20% of the same nodes daily,indicating thatmost nodes in the network change *** poses a question of the stability of the ***,historical data shows that the top ten countries with Ethereum clients have not changed since *** popular operating system of the underlying nodes has shifted from Windows to Linux over time,increasing node *** results have also shown that the number of Middle East and North Africa(MENA)Ethereum nodes is neglected compared with nodes recorded from other *** opens the door for developing new mechanisms to encourage users from these regions to contribute to this ***,the model has been trained and demonstrated an accuracy of 92% in predicting the future number of nodes in the Ethereum network.

Assessment of liquefaction potential based on shear wave velocity: Strain energy approach

Liquefaction assessment based on strain energy is significantly superior to conventional stress-based methods. The main purpose of the present study is to investigate the correlation between shear wave velocity and strain energy capacity of silty sands. The dissipated energy until liquefaction occurs was calculated by analyzing the results of three series of comprehensive cyclic direct simple shear and triaxial tests on Ottawa F65, Nevada, and Firoozkuh sands with varying silt content by weight and relative densities. Additionally, the shear wave velocity of each series was obtained using bender element or resonant column tests. Consequently, for the first time, a liquefaction triggering criterion, relating to effective overburden normalized liquefaction capacity energy (W-L/sigma(c)') to effective overburden stress-corrected shear wave velocity (V-s1) has been introduced. The accuracy of the proposed criteria was evaluated using in situ data. The results confirm the ability of shear wave velocity as a distinguishing parameter for separating liquefied and non-liquefied soils when it is calculated against liquefaction capacity energy (W-L/sigma(c)'). However, the proposed W-L/sigma(c)'-V-s1 curve, similar to previously proposed cyclic resistance ratio (CRR)-V-s1 relationships, should be used conservatively for fields vulnerable to liquefaction-induced lateral spreading. Garden pea productivity and qualities are hampered in zinc(Zn),boron(B),and molybdenum(Mo)deficient ***,the combination of micronutrients(i.e.,Zn,B,and Mo)and rhizobium is necessary to increase the productivity and quality of garden peas,since this management for garden peas is neglected in ***,the present study was made to assess the effectiveness of rhizobium inoculant singly or in combination with the micronutrients(i.e.,Zn,B,and Mo)on growth,yield,nutrient uptake,and quality of garden *** were:T_(1)=Control,T_(2)=Rhizobium inoculation at 50 g/kg seed,T_(3)=T_(2)+Zn_(3)Mo1,T_(4)=T_(2)+B_(2)Mo1,T_(5)=T_(2)+Zn_(3)B_(2),T_(6)=T_(2)+Zn_(3)B_(2)Mo1 and T_(7)=Zn_(3)B_(2)*** treatments were arranged in a randomized complete block design and repeated all treatments in three *** application of 3 kg Zn,2 kg B,and 1 kg Mo ha^(−1)with inoculation of Rhizobium at 50 g kg^(−1)seed(T_(6))facilitated to increase of 44.8%in the green pod and 29.7%seed yield over *** same treatment contributed to attaining the maximum nodulation(25.3 plant^(−1)),Vitamin C(43.5 mg 100 g^(−1)),protein content(22.2%),and nutrient uptake as well as accumulation in garden *** all treatment combinations,treatment T_(6)was found superior to others based on microbial activities,soil fertility,and *** results of the study found that the application of 3 kg Zn,2 kg B,and 1 kg Mo ha^(−1)in combination with Rhizobium inoculation(50 g kg^(−1)seed)can improve the yield and quality of garden *** results of the study have the potential for the areas,where there is no use of Rhizobium inoculant or Zn,B,and Mo fertilizer for cultivation of garden pea.

Gastric cancers are caused primarily due to the activation and amplification of the EGFR or HER2 kinases resulting in cell proliferation,adhesion,angiogenesis,and *** therapies are ineffective due to the intra-tumoral heterogeneity and concomitant genetic ***,dual inhibition strategies are recommended to increase potency and reduce *** this study,we have conducted computational high-throughput screening of the ChemBridge library followed by in vitro assays and identified novel selective inhibitors that have a dual impediment of EGFR/HER2 kinase ***-based High-throughput Virtual Screening(D-HTVS)was used to screen the whole ChemBridge small molecular library against EGFR and *** atomistic molecular dynamic simulation was conducted to understand the dynamics and stability of the protein-ligand ***/HER2 kinase enzymes,KATOIII,and Snu-5 cells were used for in vitro *** atomistic Molecular Dynamics simulations followed by solvent-based Gibbs binding free energy calculation of top molecules,identified compound C3(5-(4-oxo-4H-3,1-benzoxazin-2-yl)-2-[3-(4-oxo-4H-3,1-benzoxazin-2-yl)phenyl]-1H-isoindole-1,3(2H)-dione)to have a good affinity for both EGFR and *** predicted compound,C3,was promising with better binding energy,good binding pose,and optimum interactions with the EGFR and HER2 residues.C3 inhibited EGFR and HER2 kinases with IC50 values of 37.24 and 45.83 nM,*** GI50 values of C3 to inhibit KATOIII and Snu-5 cells were 84.76 and 48.26 nM,*** on these findings,we conclude that the identified compound C3 showed a conceivable dual inhibitory activity on EGFR/HER2 kinase,and therefore can be considered as a plausible lead-like molecule for treating gastric cancers with minimal side effects,though testing in higher models with pharmacokinetic approach is required.

Improving the Segmentation of Arabic Handwriting Using Ligature Detection Technique

Recognizing handwritten characters remains a critical and formidable challenge within the realm of computervision. Although considerable strides have been made in enhancing English handwritten character recognitionthrough various techniques, deciphering Arabic handwritten characters is particularly intricate. This complexityarises from the diverse array of writing styles among individuals, coupled with the various shapes that a singlecharacter can take when positioned differently within document images, rendering the task more perplexing. Inthis study, a novel segmentation method for Arabic handwritten scripts is suggested. This work aims to locatethe local minima of the vertical and diagonal word image densities to precisely identify the segmentation pointsbetween the cursive letters. The proposed method starts with pre-processing the word image without affectingits main features, then calculates the directions pixel density of the word image by scanning it vertically and fromangles 30° to 90° to count the pixel density fromall directions and address the problem of overlapping letters, whichis a commonly attitude in writing Arabic texts by many people. Local minima and thresholds are also determinedto identify the ideal segmentation area. The proposed technique is tested on samples obtained fromtwo datasets: Aself-curated image dataset and the IFN/ENIT dataset. The results demonstrate that the proposed method achievesa significant improvement in the proportions of cursive segmentation of 92.96% on our dataset, as well as 89.37%on the IFN/ENIT dataset.
