A New Speed Limit Recognition Methodology Based on Ensemble Learning:Hardware Validation

Advanced DriverAssistance Systems(ADAS)technologies can assist drivers or be part of.automatic driving systems to support the driving process and improve the level of.saf.ty and comf.rt on the *** Sign Recognition System(TSRS)is one of.themost important components *** the challengeswith TSRS is being able to recognize road signs with the highest accuracy and the shortest processing ***,this paper introduces a new real time methodology recognizing Speed Limit Signs based on a trio of.developed ***,the Speed Limit Detection(SLD)module uses the Haar Cascade technique to generate a new SL detector in order to localize SL signs within captured ***,the Speed Limit Classif.cation(SLC)module,f.aturing machine learning classif.ers alongside a newly developed model called DeepSL,harnesses the power of.a CNN architecture to extract intricate f.atures f.om speed limit sign images,ensuring ef.icient and precise *** addition,a new Speed Limit Classif.ers f.sion(SLCf.module has been developed by combining trained ML classif.ers and the DeepSL model by using the Dempster-Shaf.r theory of.belief.f.nctions and ensemble learning’s voting *** rigorous sof.ware and hardware validation processes,the proposedmethodology has achieved highly signif.cant f. scores of.99.98%and 99.96%f.r DS theory and the votingmethod,***,a prototype encompassing all components demonstrates outstanding reliability and ef.icacy,with processing times of.150 ms f.r the Raspberry Pi board and 81.5 ms f.r the Nano Jetson board,marking a signif.cant advancement in TSRS technology.

Hot dry rock(HDR)is rich in reserve,widely distributed,green,low-carbon,and has broad development potential and *** this paper,a distributionally robust optimization(DRO)scheduling model f.r a regionally integrated energy system(RIES)considering HDR co-generation is ***,the HDR-enhanced geothermal system(HDR-EGS)is introduced into the ***-EGS realizes the thermoelectric decoupling of.combined heat and power(CHP)through coordinated operation with the regional power grid and the regional heat grid,which enhances the system wind power(WP)f.ed-in ***,peak-hour loads are shif.ed using price demand response guidance in the context of.time-of.day ***,the optimization objective is established to minimize the total cost in the RIES scheduling cycle and construct a DRO scheduling model f.r RIES with *** simulating a real small-scale RIES,the results show that HDR-EGS can ef.ectively promote WP consumption and reduce the operating cost of.the system.

With the prevalence of.the Internet of.Things(IoT)systems,smart cities comprise complex networks,including sensors,actuators,appliances,and cyber *** complexity and heterogeneity of.smart cities have become vulnerable to sophisticated cyber-attacks,especially privacy-related attacks such as inf.rence and data poisoning *** Learning(f.)has been regarded as a hopef.l method to enable distributed learning with privacypreserved intelligence in IoT *** though the signif.cance of.developing privacy-preserving f. has drawn as a great research interest,the current research only concentrates on f. with independent identically distributed(i.i.d)data and f.w studies have addressed the non-i.i.d *** is known to be vulnerable to Generative Adversarial Network(GAN)attacks,where an adversary can presume to act as a contributor participating in the training process to acquire the private data of.other *** paper proposes an innovative Privacy Protection-based f.derated Deep Learning(PP-f.L)f.amework,which accomplishes data protection against privacy-related GAN attacks,along with high classif.cation rates f.om non-i.i.d ***-f.L is designed to enable f.g nodes to cooperate to train the f.L model in a way that ensures contributors have no access to the data of.each other,where class probabilities are protected utilizing a private identif.er generated f.r each *** PP-f.L f.amework is evaluated f.r image classif.cation using simple convolutional networks which are trained using MNIST and CIf.R-10 *** empirical results have revealed that Pf.Df. can achieve data protection and the f.amework outperf.rms the other three state-of.the-art models with 3%–8%as accuracy improvements.

Comparison between seismic analysis of.twisting and regular 52-story towers considering soil-structure interaction

A dynamic analysis of.both twisting and regular towers is carried out to determine the results of.considering soil-structure interaction(SSI)on high-rise *** addition,the dif.erence between the seismic perf.rmance of.using twisting towers over regular ones is *** twisting tower is a simulation of.the Evolution Tower(Moscow).The towers’skeletons consist of.RC elements and rest on a reinf.rced concrete piled-raf. *** soil model is considered as multi-layered with the same soil properties as the zone chosen f.r the analysis(New Mansoura City,Egypt).The only dif.erence between both towers is their shape in *** whole system is modelled and analyzed in a single step as one f.ll 3D model,which is known as the direct approach in *** analyses are carried out using f.nite-element sof.ware(Midas GTS NX).Dynamic output responses due to three records of.seismic loads are proposed and presented in some *** on the results,it is concluded that SSI has a considerable ef.ect on the dynamic response of.tall buildings mainly because of.the f.undation f.exibility,as it leads to lengthening the vibration period,increasing the story drif. and the base shear f.r both cases.

Condition monitoring of.the insulating system within power transf.rmers has a massive importance according to the electrical *** gas analysis(DGA)is f.equently used f.r this ***,DGA lacks the necessary level of.accuracy to identif. all equipment f.ults,particularly in their initial stages of.***,it does not have the capability f.r real-time monitoring and relies on manual sampling and laboratory testing,causing potential delays in f.ult ***,the interpretation of.DGA data necessitates specialised expertise,which may pose dif.iculties f.r smaller entities that have limited access to ***,the contribution of.this research is to use inf.ared spectroscopy measurements as a new ef.ective technique substituting the DGA method f.r f.ult diagnosis in insulating *** inception f.ults that were considered in this study were the electrical f.ult(discharges of.high energy)and the thermal f.ult(300°Cf.ed especially f.r serving the simulation processes inside the laboratory f.r both types of.inception ***,six samples of.pure paraf.inic mineral oil were taken to be degraded in the *** that,all of.them besides another sample that were not subjected to any kind of.f.ults were taken to be examined by f.urier transf.rm inf.ared(f.IR)spectroscopy to obtain an overview of.the oil's behaviour in each f.ult *** that,the f.IR analysis was initially verif.ed utilising the DGA ***,f.r f.rther af.irmation,the dielectric dissipation f.ctor(DDf.f.r all samples was *** the f.nal analysis,the verif.cation tests provide experimental evidence about the outperf.rmance of.this new optical technique in detecting the transf.rmer's inception f.ults in addition to proving its potential f.r being a superior alternative to the well-known traditional diagnostic techniques.

Optimized system f.r combined production of.electricity/green hydrogen f.r multiple energy pathways:a case study of.Egypt

By optimal sizing of.a wind/photovoltaic hybrid renewable-energy(RE)system,trimming the surplus capacity to reduce the f.uctuations in the electricity supplied to the grid,and using it to produce green hydrogen through electrolysis,a stable output with maximum possible capacity f.ctor(Cf.is generated to maintain the electricity grid ***,the trimmed energy is used in a secondary conversion path that minimizes the weighted average cost of.the energy generated f.om the entire *** surplus power-to-gas conversion allows the use of.green hydrogen to produce electricity,methanol,or ammonia subject to the resource availability,site characteristics,and f.nancial *** on robust site selection criteria,the best perf.rmance is obtained at two sites:Ras Ghareb and Minya,achieving the lowest energy cost with some variance in their *** the Ras Ghareb site,the optimally sized RE plant provided the grid with a quasi-steady capacity of.423 MW with a Cf.of.80.04%and was capable of.injecting 2965.8648 GWh throughout the year with the lowest cost of.2.4355¢/kWh.A surplus of.3.9%of.the total energy produced f.om the plant was directed to produce 1922-ton H_(2)/year,achieving the lowest cost of.hydrogen production of.1.9745/kg H_(2).f.r the other selected site,Minya,the clipped energy is used to produce 3330.47-ton H_(2)/year with an optimized lowest cost of.3.5268/kg H_(2).The dif.erence in hydrogen costs was attributed to the number of.f.ll operating hours of.the electrolyser in both *** cost is mainly af.ected by the electricity price and the electrolyser *** both tending to decrease,f.ture f.recasts show hydrogen cost reductions.

The conversion of.the cartesian coordinates of.a point to its geodetic equivalent coordinates in ref.rence to the geodetic ellipsoid is one of.the main challenges in *** ellipse equation in the meridian plane signif.cantly inf.uences the value of.the geodetic *** research analyzes this inf.uence and how it can contribute to their *** study investigates the mathematical relation between them and presents an exact f.rmula relating to the geodetic height and the ellipse *** addition,a heuristic f.rmula f.r the relation between the geodetic height and the ellipse equation is proposed,which is independent of.the geodetic latitude and has a relative accuracy better than 99.9 %.The calculation is stable,and the cost is low.

The measurement and mapping of.objects in the outer environment have traditionally been conducted using ground-based monitoring systems,as well as *** recently,unmanned aerial vehicles have also been employed f.r this *** accurate detection and mapping of.a target such as buildings,trees,and terrains are of.utmost importance in various applications of.unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs),including search and rescue operations,object transportation,object detection,inspection tasks,and mapping ***,the rapid measurement and mapping of.the object are not currently achievable due to f.ctors such as the object’s size,the intricate nature of.the sites,and the complexity of.mapping *** present system introduces a costef.ective solution f.r measurement and mapping by utilizing a small unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)equipped with an 8-beam Light Detection and Ranging(LiDAR)*** approach of.ers advantages over traditional methods that rely on expensive cameras and complex algorithm-based *** ref.ective properties of.laser beams have also been *** system provides prompt results in comparison to traditional camerabased surveillance,with minimal latency and the need f.r complex *** Kalman estimation method demonstrates improved perf.rmance in the presence of.*** measurement and mapping of.external objects have been successf.lly conducted at varying distances,utilizing dif.erent resolutions.
