Wind-lens turbines(WlTs)exhibit the prospect of a higher output power and more suitability for urban areas in comparison to bare wind *** wind-lens typically comprises a diffuser shroud coupled with a flange appended to the exit periphery of the ***-lenses can boost the velocity of the incoming wind through the turbine rotor owing to the creation of a lowpressure zone downstream the flanged *** this paper,the aerodynamic performance of the wind-lens is computationally assessed using high-fidelity transient CFD simulations for shrouds with different profiles,aiming to assess the effect of change of some design parameters such as length,area ratio and flange height of the diffuser shroud on the power *** power coefficient(Cp)is calculated by solving the URANS equations with the aid of the SST k–ω***,comparisons with experimental data for validation are accomplished to prove that the proposed methodology could be able to precisely predict the aerodynamic behavior of the windlens *** results affirm that wind-lens with cycloidal profile yield an augmentation of about 58%increase in power coefficient compared to bare wind turbine of the same rotor *** is also emphasized that diffusers(cycloid type)of small length could achieve a twice increase in power coefficient while maintaining large flange heights.

Penile prosthetic implantation represents a cornerstone for patients with organic erectile dysfunction(ED)that is refractory,unsatisfactory,or contra-indicated for other approved medical or mechanical *** this study,we introduce the“Ghattas technique,”wherein we constructed a polypropylene mesh sheath that surrounds and is fixed to a 13-mm malleable prosthesis cylinder,which can increase the cylinder diameter for cases that need a larger *** patients underwent preoperative evaluation and completed the five-item International Index of Erectile Function questionnaire(IIEF-5).Postoperative outcomes were evaluated by IIEF-5 and Erectile Dysfunction Inventory of Treatment Satisfaction(EDITS)questionnaires at final *** mean age of the 23 included patients was 57.9(standard deviation[s.d.]:11.4)years and the mean duration of ED was 8.5(s.d.:7.9)*** improvement was determined by comparing mean preoperative and postoperative IIEF-5 scores(8.3[s.d.:3.9]vs 24.6[s.d.:0.6],Plarger than 13 *** studies are needed to confirm these results.

This work deals with robust inverse neural control strategy for a class of single-input single-output(SISO) discrete-time nonlinear system affected by parametric uncertainties. According to the control scheme, in the first step, a direct neural model(DNM)is used to learn the behavior of the system, then, an inverse neural model(INM) is synthesized using a specialized learning technique and cascaded to the uncertain system as a controller. In previous works, the neural models are trained classically by backpropagation(BP) algorithm. In this work, the sliding mode-backpropagation(SM-BP) algorithm, presenting some important properties such as robustness and speedy learning, is investigated. Moreover, four combinations using classical BP and SM-BP are tested to determine the best configuration for the robust control of uncertain nonlinear systems. Two simulation examples are treated to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.

Text-to-image generation is a vital task in different fields,such as combating crime and terrorism and quickly arresting *** several years,due to a lack of deep learning and machine learning resources,police officials required artists to draw the face of a *** methods of identifying criminals are inefficient and *** paper presented a new proposed hybrid model for converting the text into the nearest images,then ranking the produced images according to the available *** framework contains two main steps:generation of the image using an Identity Generative Adversarial Network(IGAN)and ranking of the images according to the available data using multi-criteria decision-making based on neutrosophic *** IGAN has the same architecture as the classical Generative Adversarial Networks(GANs),but with different modifications,such as adding a non-linear identity block,smoothing the standard GAN loss function by using a modified loss function and label smoothing,and using mini-batch *** model achieves efficient results in Inception Distance(FID)and inception score(IS)when compared with other architectures of GANs for generating images from *** IGAN achieves 42.16 as FID and 14.96 as *** it comes to ranking the generated images using Neutrosophic,the framework also performs well in the case of missing information and missing data.

Advanced DriverAssistance Systems(ADAS)technologies can assist drivers or be part of automatic driving systems to support the driving process and improve the level of safety and comfort on the *** Sign Recognition System(TSRS)is one of themost important components *** the challengeswith TSRS is being able to recognize road signs with the highest accuracy and the shortest processing ***,this paper introduces a new real time methodology recognizing Speed limit Signs based on a trio of developed ***,the Speed limit Detection(SlD)module uses the Haar Cascade technique to generate a new Sl detector in order to localize Sl signs within captured ***,the Speed limit Classification(SlC)module,featuring machine learning classifiers alongside a newly developed model called DeepSl,harnesses the power of a CNN architecture to extract intricate features from speed limit sign images,ensuring efficient and precise *** addition,a new Speed limit Classifiers Fusion(SlCF)module has been developed by combining trained Ml classifiers and the DeepSl model by using the Dempster-Shafer theory of belief functions and ensemble learning’s voting *** rigorous software and hardware validation processes,the proposedmethodology has achieved highly significant F1 scores of 99.98%and 99.96%for DS theory and the votingmethod,***,a prototype encompassing all components demonstrates outstanding reliability and efficacy,with processing times of 150 ms for the Raspberry Pi board and 81.5 ms for the Nano Jetson board,marking a significant advancement in TSRS technology.

Comparison of drug release from liquid crystalline monoolein dispersions and solid lipid nanoparticles using a flow cytometric technique

Colloidal lipid particles such as solid lipid nanoparticles and liquid crystalline nanoparticles have great opportunities as drug carriers especially for lipophilic drugs intended for intravenous administration. In order to evaluate drug release from these nanoparticles and determine their behavior after administration, emulsion droplets were used as a lipophilic compartment to which the transfer of a model drug was measured. The detection of the model drug transferred from monoolein cubic particles and trimyristin solid lipid nanoparticles into emulsion droplets was performed using a flow cytometric technique. A higher rate and amount of porphyrin transfer from the solid lipid nanoparticles compared to the monoolein cubic particles was observed. This difference might be attributed to the formation of a highly ordered particle which leads to the expulsion of drug to the surface of the crystalline ***, the sponge-like structure of the monoolein cubic particles decreases the rate and amount of drug transferred. In conclusion, the flow cytometric technique is a suitable technique to study drug transfer from these carriers to large lipophilic acceptors. Monoolein cubic particles with their unique structure can be used successfully as a drug carrier with slow drug release compared with trimyristin nanoparticles.

Paleontological and sedimentological analyses were carried out in sediment core from southeastern Mediterranean Sea,offshore Egypt to reconstruct the past environmental changes in trophic state and temperature during *** achieve our goals,grain size,total organic carbon,planktic and benthic foraminifera,dinoflagellate cysts have been *** micropalaentological studies have been done in the studied area and none of them used the combined proxies of benthic foraminifera and dinoflagellate *** combined proxies reflects more comprehensive paleoenvironmental *** and abiotic data have been analysed with multivariate technique including Redundancy Analysis(RDA).Diversity indices such as:Fisher alpha index(α)and Shannon index(H)have been *** foraminiferal study yields 9 planktic species and 10 benthic *** assemblages have low species diversity indices especially at sapropel layer *** sapropels are layers with elevated organic carbon concentrations that contrast with surrounding organic poor *** occur periodically in sedimentary sequences of the last millions years,which have been the subject of extensive previous *** Analysis(RDA)yields two groups of foraminiferal assemblages depending on the changes of total organic carbon and clay *** dinocysts study yields 15 species,the majority of cyst types belonging to the order *** association of dinoflagellate cyst shows two depositional phases in the *** sapropel layer S1,with anoxic condition and warmer temperature,is recorded at depth 28-46 cm where heterotrophic taxa dominate and the post-sapropel layer is recorded at depth 0-28 cm;where autotrophic taxa dominate.
