Background:In Egypt,around 1 million children are on the *** children's health is an issue that is not well *** objective of the current study was to determine the health problems of a targeted group of street children seeking medical care and to generate a hypothesis about the positive/negative role of street children care ***:A cross-sectional study was done on 2169 street children who sought medical care at El-Basma clinic at the Center for social and Preventive Medicine in Cairo University Children Hospital from January 2011 to July ***:Respiratory illnesses and skin problems were the most prevalent conditions,affecting 485 (22.4%) and 359 (16.6%) of the patients,*** issues and trauma were significantly higher among the adolescent *** and gastrointestinal problems were significantly higher among children aged less than 2 *** and cardiac problems were significantly higher among those referred from organizations whereas trauma was significantly higher among those coming directly from the streets.A significant proportion of children at the extremes of the studied age spectrum were coming directly from the *** transmitted infections were rare ***:Respiratory and skin diseases were the major morbidity problems among street children,especially adolescent *** afforded opportunities for access to different health care services.

Three different bismuth-lead systems namely, Wood＇s alloy （Bi50Pb25sn12.5Cd12.5）, Newton＇s alloy （Bi50Pb31.2sn18.8） and Rose＇s alloy （B50Pb28sn22）, with one used as fusible alloys were quenched from melt by melt spinning technique. Thermal analysis, structure and mechanical properties of all alloys have been studied and analyzed. From X-ray diffraction analysis, an intermetallic compound phase, designated Pb7Bi3 is detected. The formation of an intermetallic compound phase causes a pronounced increase in the electrical resistivity. The Wood＇s alloy containing-cadmium exhibits mechanical properties superior to both the Newton＇s and Rose＇s alloys. The presence of cadmium in Wood＇s alloy decreases its melting point. Wood＇s alloy has better properties, which make it useful in various applications such as in protection shields for radiotherapy, locking of mechanical devices and welding at low temperature.

A convenient synthesis of intermediate 4,5-diamino-3-aryl-l-phenylpyrazoles 4a--4c was reported. The different cyclization reactions were carried out with chalcone, 2-mercaptoacetic acid and p-anisialdehyde, ethyl chloroformate, glyoxal and thiourea to afford different N and s containing heterocycles. The reaction conditions were compared by conventional heating and microwave irradiation. The structures of the cyclization products were de- termined by analytical and spectroscopic data. All the synthesized compounds were screened for antibacterial activities in vitro.

This paper proposed a new scheme for smooth handoff over F-HMIPv6 networks based on Location Based services(LBs). It uses the available information about mobile node(MN) such as user mobility patterns and MN's velocity to reduce handoff latency. In the proposed scheme, the movement pattern of users plays an important role in the performance analysis. The proposed scheme develops LBs that records a number of mobility patterns based on user daily behavior, and exploits these information to reduce the handoff latency. The proposed scheme is analyzed and compared with F-HMIPv6 protocol. The results show that it improves the performance in terms of handoff latency, packet delivery cost, and location update cost. specifically, the proposed scheme achieves the tradeoff between realizing a smooth handoff and minimizing the cost that is the demand for all customers of mobile services.

A new polyglycerol phthalate extractant was prepared and characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, proton nuclear magnetic resonance(~1H NMR) spectroscopy, and thermogravimetric analysis. A preliminary study of the extraction of long-lived(^(90) sr and ^(152+154)Eu) and short-lived(^(90) Y) radionuclides by polyglycerol phthalate was performed. The influence of different diluents, concentration of the acid, type of acid, and various interfering ions was explored. The stripping of ^(152+154)Eu radionuclide was studied by using different acid solutions, and it was found that sulfuric acid was the ideal acid for this purpose. Furthermore,^(152+154)Eu was extracted from the fission products(^(90) sr) and the extraction% of^(90) sr was found to improve in the presence of interfering ions.

Objective:To evaluate the combination therapy of pyronaridine tetraphosphate and diminazene aceturate against Babesia in vitro and in ***:Bioinformatic analysis was performed using atom pair *** in vitro combination test was performed against Babesia bovis and Theileria ***,the in vivo chemotherapeutic efficacy of pyronaridine tetraphosphate in combination with diminazene aceturate was investigated against the growth of Babesia microti in mice using a fluorescence inhibitory ***:Pyronaridine tetraphosphate and diminazene aceturate exhibited nearly similar molecular *** in vitro combination of pyronaridine tetraphosphate and diminazene aceturate was synergistic on Babesia bovis and additive on Theileria *** addition,5 mg/kg pyronaridine tetraphosphate combined with 10 mg/kg diminazene aceturate inhibited Babesia microti growth significantly compared with those observed after treatment with 25 mg/kg diminazene aceturate alone from day 6 post treatment to day 12 post *** combination therapy also normalized the hematological parameters of infected ***:An oral dose of pyronaridine tetraphosphate combined with a subcutaneous dose of diminazene aceturate inhibits Babesia in vitro and in mice,suggesting it might be a new paradigm for the treatment of babesiosis.

An analysis has been achieved to study the natural convection of a non-Newtonian fluid （namely a Carreau fluid） in a vertical channel with rhythmically contracting walls. The Navier-stokes and the energy equations are reduced to a system of non- linear PDE by using the long wavelength approximation. The optimal homotopy analysis method （OHAM） is introduced to obtain the exact solutions for velocity and temperature fields. The convergence of the obtained OHAM solution is discussed explicitly. Numerical calculations are carried out for the pressure rise and the features of the flow and temperature characteristics are analyzed by plotting graphs and discussed in detail.

Advanced algorithms for retrieving pileup peaks of digital alpha spectroscopy using antlions and particle swarm optimizations

Optimization algorithms are applied to resolve the second-order pileup(sOP)issue from high counting rates occurring in digital alpha *** are antlion optimizer(ALO)and particle swarm optimization(PsO)*** optimization algorithms are coupled to one of the three proposed peak finder *** custom time-domain algorithms are proposed for retrieving sOP peaks,namely peak seek,slope tangent,and fast array *** addition,an average combinational algorithm is *** time occurrence of the retrieved peaks is tested for an elimination of illusive *** methods are inaccurate and *** and PsO optimizations are used for the localization of retrieved *** cost values that achieve the best fitness values are ***,the optimum positions of the detected peak heights are *** metrics of the optimized algorithms and their influences on the retrieved peaks parameters are *** among such algorithms are investigated,and the algorithms are inspected in terms of their computational time and average *** peak seek algorithm achieves the lowest average computational error for pulse parameters(amplitude and position).However,the fast array algorithm introduces the largest average error for pulse *** addition,the peak seek algorithm coupled with an ALO or PsO algorithm is observed to realize a better performance in terms of the optimum cost and computational *** contrast,the performance of the peak seek recovery algorithm is improved using the ***,the computational time of the peak optimization using the PsO is much better than that of the ALO *** a final conclusion,the accuracy of the peaks detected by the PsO surpasses that for the peaks detected by the *** implemented peak retrieval algorithms are validated through a comparison with experimental results from previous *** proposed algorithms achieve a notable pr
