Developing anatase/rutile phase-junction in Ti O_(2)to construct Z-scheme system is quite effective to improve its photoelectrochemical *** this work,the anatase/rutile phase-junction Ag/Ti O_(2)nanocomposites are developed as photocathodes for hydrogen *** optimized Ag/Ti O_(2)nanocomposite achieves a high current density of 1.28 m A cm-2,an incident photon-to-current conversion efficiency(IPCE)of 10.8%,an applied bias photon-to-current efficiency(ABPE)of 0.32 at 390 nm and a charge carriers’lifetime up to 2000 *** enhancement on photoelectrochemical activity can be attributed to:(ⅰ)the generated Z-scheme system in the anatase/rutile phase-junction Ag/Ti O_(2)photocathode enhances the separation,diffusion and transformation of electron/hole pairs inside the structure,(ⅱ)Ag nanodots modification in the anatase/rutile phases leading to the tuned band gap with enhanced light absorption and(ⅲ)the formed schottky barrier after Ag nanodots surface modification provides enough electron traps to avoid the recombination of photogenerated electrons and *** results here suggest that developing phase-junction nanocomposite as photocathode will provide a new vision for their enhanced photoelectrochemical generation of hydrogen.

A robust multi-objective and multi-physics optimization of multi-physics behavior of microstructure

A new strategy is presented to solve robust multi-physics multi-objective optimization problem known as improved multi-objective collaborative optimization （IMOCO） and its extension improved multi-objective robust collaborative （IMORCO）. In this work, the proposed IMORCO approach combined the IMOCO method, the worst possible point （WPP） constraint cuts and the Genetic algorithm NsGA-II type as an optimizer in order to solve the robust optimization problem of multi-physics of microstructures with uncertainties. The optimization problem is hierarchically decomposed into two levels： a microstructure level, and a disciplines levels, For validation purposes, two examples were selected： a numerical example, and an engineering example of capacitive micro machined ultrasonic transducers （CMUT） type. The obtained results are compared with those obtained from robust non-distributed and distributed optimization approach, non-distributed multi-objective robust optimization （NDMORO） and multi-objective collaborative robust optimization （McRO）, respectively. Results obtained from the application of the IMOCO approach to an optimization problem of a CMUT cell have reduced the CPU time by 44% ensuring a Pareto front close to the reference non-distributed multi-objective optimization （NDMO） approach （mahalanobis distance, D2M =0.9503 and overall spread, so=0.2309）. In addition, the consideration of robustness in IMORCO approach applied to a CMUT cell of optimization problem under interval uncertainty has reduced the CPU time by 23% keeping a robust Pareto front overlaps with that obtained by the robust NDMORO approach （D2M =10.3869 and so=0.0537）.

simple, rapid and reliable method for the determination of albendazole （ABZ） was described. This includes the utility of some π-acceptors such as 2,3-dichloro-5,6-dicyano-p-benzoquinone （DDQ） and 3,6-dichloro-2,5-dihydroxy-p-benzoquinone （p-CLA） for estimation of ABZ drug （act as donor）. The experimental conditions were optimized and the system obeys Beer＇s law for 7.50-80 and 10.00-85.00 ug·mL-1 of ABZ using DDQ and p-CLA, respectively. The molar absorptivity and sandell sensitivity were calculated to be 1.83× 10^3 and 1.12× 10^3 L·mol ·cm -1 and 2.60 and 3.40 ng·cm -2 using DDQ and p-CLA, respectively. The limits of detection and quantification were calculated to be （7.42 and 6.73） and （9.94 and 4.13） ug·mL-1 using DDQ and p-CLA, respectively. The proposed methods were successfully applied to the determination of ABZ in commercially available dosage forms. The reliability of the assays was established by parallel determination by the official method and recovery studies. The chemical structures of the solid charge-transfer （CT） complexes formed via reaction between ABZ under study and π-acceptors, have been elucidated using elemental analyses （C, H and N）, IR, 1H NMR and mass spectra.

In the contemporary era,the global expansion of electrical grids is propelled by various renewable energy sources(REss).Efficient integration of stochastic REss and optimal power flow(OPF)management are critical for network *** study introduces an innovative solution,the Gaussian Bare-Bones Levy Cheetah Optimizer(GBBLCO),addressing OPF challenges in power generation systems with stochastic *** primary objective is to minimize the total operating costs of REss,considering four functions:overall operating costs,voltage deviation management,emissions reduction,voltage stability index(VsI)and power loss ***,a carbon tax is included in the objective function to reduce carbon *** scrutiny,using modified IEEE 30-bus and IEEE 118-bus systems,validates GBBLCO’s superior performance in achieving optimal *** results demonstrate GBBLCO’s efficacy in six optimization scenarios:total cost with valve point effects,total cost with emission and carbon tax,total cost with prohibited operating zones,active power loss optimization,voltage deviation optimization and enhancing voltage stability index(VsI).GBBLCO outperforms conventional techniques in each scenario,showcasing rapid convergence and superior solution ***,GBBLCO navigates complexities introduced by valve point effects,adapts to environmental constraints,optimizes costs while considering prohibited operating zones,minimizes active power losses,and optimizes voltage deviation by enhancing the voltage stability index(VsI)*** research significantly contributes to advancing OPF,emphasizing GBBLCO’s improved global search capabilities and ability to address challenges related to local *** emerges as a versatile and robust optimization tool for diverse challenges in power systems,offering a promising solution for the evolving needs of renewable energy-integrated power grids.

The suspension system is a key element in motor vehicles. Advancements in electronics and microprocessor technology have led to the realization of mechatronic suspensions. since its introduction in some production motorcars in the 1980 s, it has remained an area which sees active research and development, and this will likely continue for many years to come. With the aim of identifying current trends and future focus areas, this paper presents a review on the state-of-the-art of mechatronic suspensions. First, some commonly used classifications of mechatronic suspensions are presented. This is followed by a discussion on some of the actuating mechanisms used to provide control action. A survey is then reported on the many types of control approaches, including look-ahead preview, predictive, fuzzy logic, proportional–integral–derivative(PID), optimal, robust, adaptive, robust adaptive,and switching control. In conclusion, hydraulic actuators are most commonly used, but they impose high power requirements, limiting practical realizations of active suspensions. Electromagnetic actuators are seen to hold the promise of lower power requirements, and rigorous research and development should be conducted to make them commercially usable. Current focus on control methods that are robust to suspension parameter variations also seems to produce limited performance improvements, and future control approaches should be adaptive to the changeable driving conditions.

This manuscript presents the comprehensive study of thickness stretching effects on the free vibration,static stability and bending of multilayer functionally graded(FG)carbon nanotubes reinforced composite(CNTRC)*** nanoscale and microstructure influences are considered through a modified nonlocal strain gradient continuum *** on power-law functions,four different patterns of CNTs distribution are considered in this analysis,a uniform distribution UD,FG-V CNTRC,FG-X CNTRC,and FG-O CNTRC.A 3D kinematic shear deformation theory is proposed to include the stretching influence,which is neglected in classical ***'s principle is applied to derive the governing equations of motion and associated boundary *** solutions are developed based on Galerkin method to solve the governing equilibrium equations based on the generalized higher-order shear deformation theory and the nonlocal strain gradient theory and get the static bending,buckling loads,and natural frequencies of *** with previous works is presented.A detailed parametric analysis is carried out to highlight the impact of thickness stretching,length scale parameter(nonlocal),material scale parameter(gradient),CNTs distribution pattern,geometry of the plate,various boundary conditions and the total number of layers on the stresses,deformation,critical buckling loads and vibration *** new results are also reported in the current study,which will serve as a benchmark for future research.

In the last decade, the seismic AVO analysis have become prominent in the direct hydrocarbons indicator(DHI), aimed at characterizing the fluid content or the lithology of a possible reservoir and reducing theexploration drilling risk. This research discuss the impact of studying the common depth point (CDP)gathers on Near, Mid and Far-offsets, to verify the credibility of the amplitude response in the prospectevaluation, through analyzing a case study of two exploratory wells;one has already penetrated a gasbearing sandstone as a reservoir and the other one is dry-sand, but drilled in two different prospects,using the amplitude versus offset (AVO) analysis, to understand the reservoir configuration and itsrelation to the different amplitude response. The results show, that the missing of the short-offset data isthe reason of the false anomaly encountered in the dry sand, due to some urban surface obstacles duringacquiring the seismic data in the field especially, the study area is located in El Mansoura city, which it isa highly cultivated flat terrain, with multiple channels and many large orchards on the edge of the river,and sugar cane and rice fields. several lessons have been learned, which how to differentiate between thegas reservoirs and non-reservoirs, by understanding the relation between the Near and Far-offset traces,to reduce the amplitude anomalies to their right justification, where missing of Near-offset data led to apseudo-amplitude anomaly. The results led to a high success of exploration ratio as the positives vastlyoutweigh the negatives.

The khettaras constitute a hydraulic system for mobilising water by gravity from the water table to the surface to irrigate felds in *** system,which has been fairly widespread in North Africa,in particular in Algeria(foggara)and Morocco(khettaras),was introduced several centuries ago in the oases of southeastern Morocco and has contin‑ued to operate despite various natural and anthropic *** on these ingenious and millennial hydraulic systems,successive civilisations living in these environments have been able to establish laws and regulations for the management and mobilisation of natural resources,especially ***,to get the most out of these systems,users have had to abide by rules(Al Orf/Azref)designed to protect,promote,and care for the systems to enhance their *** hydraulic systems have declined in recent years,notably due to extensive groundwater pumping,climate variability(severe droughts),and the local population’s disinterest for this type of ***,we have unfortunately witnessed the loss of a thousand-year-old local ancestral know-how that had been developed by diferent succeeding civilisations in the *** initiatives(2008–2011)have been undertaken by the Moroccan government for the restoration and development of some abandoned khettaras in the Taflalet Oasis so that they could be utilised in the development of an oasis-based cultural tourism and integrated in a tourist circuit known as *** initiative,still in its infancy,has constituted an alternative and a fairly encouraging development for this national and world heritage.
