The intuitive fuzzy set has found important application in decision-making and machine *** enrich and utilize the intuitive fuzzy set,this study designed and developed a deep neural network-based glaucoma eye detection using fuzzy difference equations in the domain where the retinal images *** image detections are categorized as normal eye recognition,suspected glaucomatous eye recognition,and glaucomatous eye *** degrees associated with weighted values are calculated to determine the level of concentration between the fuzzy partition and the retinal *** proposed model was used to diagnose glaucoma using retinal images and involved utilizing the Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)and deep learning to identify the fuzzy weighted regularization between *** methodology was used to clarify the input images and make them adequate for the process of glaucoma *** objective of this study was to propose a novel approach to the early diagnosis of glaucoma using the Fuzzy Expert system(FEs)and Fuzzy differential equation(FdE).The intensities of the different regions in the images and their respective peak levels were *** the peak regions were identified,the recurrence relationships among those peaks were then *** partitioning was done due to varying degrees of similar and dissimilar concentrations in the *** and dissimilar concentration levels and spatial frequency generated a threshold image from the combined fuzzy matrix and *** distinguished between a normal and abnormal eye condition,thus detecting patients with glaucomatous eyes.

Côte d’Ivoire is currently experiencing strong growth in the mining sector. Identifying the formations present in our subsoil is therefore essential for mining recovery. It is in this context that we conducted studies on the formations present in the locality of Guintéguéla. It is located in the northwest of Côte d’Ivoire in the bafing region. The aim of this work was to determine the petrographic and structural characteristics of the formations of the area. The methodology began with documentation and then followed petrography and structural analysis work on the macroscopic and microscopic levels. We observed six groups of rocks: granitoids, amphibolites, orthogneiss, quartzites (poor and rich in magnetites), volcano-sediments and filonian rocks. metamorphism is of amphibolite to granulite facies. However, volcano-sediments must be associated with the green schist facies. With regard to the structural, structures and microstructures such as foliation;fractures;sigmoidal figures reveal that the studied area was affected by ductile and also brittle tectonics whose main directions are oriented along the shear corridor, so N-s to NNW-ssE.

Audits of death in HIV-Infected Children and Adolescents Followed up in the Pediatric department of the Regional Teaching Hospital of Borgou/Alibori from 2005 to 2020

Introduction: Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is a major public health problem with high morbidity and mortality among children. The objective of this work was to audit the deaths of children and adolescents with HIV infection followed up in the pediatric department of the Regional Teaching Hospital of Borgou/Alibori (CHUdB/A) the from 2005 to 2020. Patients and method: This was a retrospective and descriptive study conducted in the pediatric department of CHUd/B-A in Parakou. All children with HIV infection who died from January 1, 2005 to August 31, 2020 were included. data collection was carried out in three stages: a phase of medical records processing, a phase of community survey and a phase of death audits. The variables studied were sociodemographic, clinical, biological, therapeutic and evolutionary. Results: Over the study period, the data of 464 infected children were recorded, including 92 deaths, representing a case fatality rate of 19.83%. severe acute malnutrition (69.23%), gastro-intestinal tract infections (43.58%) and serious opportunistic pulmonary infections (24.36% pulmonary tuberculosis and 19.23% pneumocystis) were the main causes of death. The main dysfunctions found were: the delayed diagnosis of HIV infection (79.35%), the absence or delay in consultation when the child’s clinical condition deteriorates (32.61% and 47.83%), delayed initiation of antiretroviral treatment (42.39%) and non-adherence to treatment (38.04%). Non-adherence to treatment was predominant in adolescents (90.49%). Conclusion: specific interventions for early detection, adequate nutritional care, psychosocial support for adolescents and mothers of children are necessary to reduce mortality due to HIV among children and adolescents.

Children with sickle Cell disease in Northern Benin: Follow up of a Cohort at the Borgou/Alibori Branch of Integrated medical Healthcare Center for Infants and Pregnant Women with sickle Cell disease from 2017 to 2022

Introduction: sickle cell disease is a public health problem in sub-saharan Africa. A national referral center for the management of infants and pregnant women with sickle cell disease (CPmI-NFEd) was created three decades ago in Cotonou, in the south of Benin with two regional branches including that of Parakou in the North for better access of patients to specialized care. This work is a review of five years of activities in order to describe the epidemiological, clinical, hematological and evolutionary profiles of the children followed up in the said branch. method: This was a descriptive and retrospective cross-sectional study on the medical records of children with sickle cell disease, followed up at the regional branch of CPmI-NFEd in Borgou/Alibori from June 1, 2017 to may 31, 2022. The variables studied were epidemiological, clinical, biological and evolutionary. Results: A total of 101 children with sickle cell disease were included in the study, including 78 homozygous ss (77.2%) and 23 heterozygous sC (22.8%). Their mean age at inclusion was 51.2 ± 37.6 months [6 - 204]. The sex ratio was 1.4. Vaso-occlusive crises were the main diagnostic circumstances in 42.3% of homozygotes. more than half of the children (51.5%) had a regular follow-up. The average baseline level of hemoglobin (Hb) in homozygous children was 8.8 ± 1.4 g/dl [5.8 - 11.5];and the rate of Hb s varied between 61.9 and 94.7%. In heterozygous sC children, the mean baseline level of Hb was 10.7 ± 0.6 g/dl [9.7 - 11.5]. Acute complications observed during follow-up were dominated by pneumonia and vaso-occlusive crises in both phenotypes. The overall mortality was 3% and only affected homozygous patients. Conclusion: On average, three out of four children were homozygous in our cohort. The main acute complications were infectious and vaso-occlusive. Gomphrena serrata L. (Amaranthaceae) is a medicinal plant widely used traditionally in rural areas to treat many diseases, including gastrointestinal helminthiasis of small ruminants. This work aims to estimate the plant extracts phytochemical potential and study the activities of the aqueous decoction (Gs_Ad), aqueous macerate (Gs_Am), and hydroalcoholic macerate (Gs_HEm) of Gomphrena serrata extracts on two developmental stages (eggs and adult worms) of Haemonchus contortus. Phytochemical screening was carried out. The acute toxicity test was performed according to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and development (OECd) test guideline 423. The Haemonchus contortus eggs hatching inhibition test was performed left to incubate for 48 hours in the presence of the different plant extracts at increasing concentrations of 0.125;0.25;0.5;0.625;1;2;3 mg/mL. For the motility inhibition test on adult worms, the worms were contacted with the extracts at concentrations of 0.75;1;1.25;1.5;2;3;4 mg/mL and left to incubate for 24 hours. Albendazole and levamisole were used as standard. Phytochemical screening revealed the presence of tannins, saponins, reducing compounds, coumarins and derivatives, anthocyanins, steroids, triterpenes, and flavonoids. An acute toxicity study showed that the oral Ldsub>50sub> value of G. serrata was estimated to be 5000 mg/kg. All extracts showed an effect on both stages of parasite development. The hatching inhibition rate was 100% from 3 mg/mL for all three extracts. The rate of inhibition of motility was 100% from 4 mg/mL for each extract. HEm is more efficient on eggs and Haemonchus contortus adult worms than other extracts with ICsub>50sub> of 0.457 mg/mL and LCsub>50sub>sub> sub>of 1.329 mg/mL, respectively. These results suggest that Gomphrena serrata, a plant used by farmers, has anthelmintic properties.

Three dimensional(3d)echocardiogram enables cardiologists to visua-lize suspicious cardiac structures in *** recent years,this three-dimensional echocardiogram carries important clinical value in virtual surgical ***,this 3d echocardiogram involves a trade-off difficulty between accu-racy and efficient computation in clinical *** paper presents a novel Flip directional 3d Volume Reconstruction(Fd-3dVR)method for the recon-struction of echocardiogram *** proposed method consists of two main steps:multiplanar volumetric imaging and 3d volume *** the crea-tion of multiplanar volumetric imaging,two-dimensional(2d)image pixels are mapped into voxels of the volumetric *** the obtained slices are discontin-uous,there are some missing voxels in the volume *** restore the structural and textural information of 3d ultrasound volume,the proposed method creates a volume pyramid in parallel with theflip directional texture ***,the nearest neighbors of missing voxels in the multiplanar volumetric imaging are identified by 3d ANN(Approximate Nearest Neighbor)patch matching ***,aflip directional texture pyramid is proposed and aggregated with distance in patch matching tofind out the most similar *** the recon-struction step,structural and textural information obtained from differentflip angle directions can reconstruct 3d volume well with the desired ***-pared with existing 3d reconstruction methods,the proposed Flip directional 3d Volume Reconstruction(Fd-3dVR)method provides superior performance for the mean peak signal-to-noise ratio(40.538 for the proposed method I and 39.626 for the proposed method II).Experimental results performed on the cardi-ac datasets demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed method for the reconstruc-tion of echocardiogram images.
