Introduction: Urethral prolapse, a rare benign lesion of the female urethra, is considered unusual in children, but it is far from exceptional in girls aged 18 to 24. African origin. The diagnosis is clinical but can be overlooked or confused with other pathologies. Treatment remains controversial. The aim of this work is to study the epidemiological, clinical and therapeutic data of urethral mucosal prolapse in young girls in our department. Materials and methods: Retrospective and descriptive study on urethral mucosal prolapse in little girls identified from the hospitalization records of the Sino-Guinean Friendship Hospital in Conakry. The study period was 5 years. Patients were selected randomly. Outcome assessment focused on the occurrence of recurrences and urinary incontinence. The mean follow-up duration was 24 months. The parameters studied were: Age, clinical and histological findings, therapeutic data and patient outcomes. Results: The incidence of urethral mucosal prolapse in girls in the urology department was 2.2 cases/year. The mean age of the patients was 6.7 years (with extremes of 5 months and 10 years). The age group of 7 to 10 years was the most represented, observed in 63.63% of patients. The most frequent reason for consultation was vulvar bleeding in 7 patients, or 63.63%. Malpighian hyperplasia with a congested chorion was the most observed histological type, in 4 patients. Surgical treatment consisting of complete excision of the prolapsed part had given excellent results. Conclusion: Urethral prolapse is a rare pathology, observed mainly in young black girls. Its diagnosis is based mainly on clinical examination. Surgical treatment gives satisfactory results, both clinically and aesthetically.

Introduction: Foreign bodies (FB) in the lower airways (LAs) constitute a potentially life-threatening emergency requiring immediate management. The objective of our study was to describe the patient pathway and management of foreign bodies in the lower airways. Methodology: This was a descriptive study with retrospective data collection conducted over a 6-year period (January 1, 2014, to December 31, 2019) in the ENT and Head and Neck Surgery Department of Donka National Hospital. Results: We observed a prevalence of 1.79%. The average age was 5.71 years, with a sex ratio of 1.2. However, 82.61% of the cases originated from rural areas. We noted that 78.83% of patients were referred after visiting 1 to 2 healthcare facilities (75.36%). The consultation delay was 3 days. Penetration syndrome was present in 98.56% of cases. The foreign body incidents occurred during play in 54.84% and during meals in 29.09% of cases. Radiographs were performed in 93.9% of cases. Endoscopy was used for both diagnostic and therapeutic purposes in all patients. The foreign bodies were located in the trachea (37.68%), larynx (26.08%), and bronchi (21.73%). Non-organic foreign bodies were predominant (52.17%). Postoperative outcomes were uncomplicated in 95.98% of cases, and the lethality rate was 2.85%. Conclusion: The pathway of patients with foreign bodies in the airways remains unpredictable in our context due to parental hesitations. Early management reduces morbidity and mortality rates.

Recently there is an increasing need for interactive human-driven analysis on large volumes of data. Online aggregation （OLA）, which provides a quick sketch of massive data before a long wait of the final accurate query result, has drawn significant research attention. However, the direct processing of OLA on duplicate data will lead to incorrect query answers, since sampling from duplicate records leads to an over representation of the duplicate data in the sample. This violates the prerequisite of uniform distributions in most statistical theories. In this paper, we propose CrowdOLA, a novel framework for integrating online aggregation processing with deduplication. Instead of cleaning the whole dataset, Crow~ dOLA retrieves block-level samples continuously from the dataset, and employs a crowd-based entity resolution approach to detect duplicates in the sample in a pay-as-you-go fashion. After cleaning the sample, an unbiased estimator is provided to address the error bias that is introduced by the duplication. We evaluate CrowdOLA on both real-world and synthetic workloads. Experimental results show that CrowdOLA provides a good balance between efficiency and accuracy.

Coffee is a major cash and export crop in Sierra Leone and is mainly cultivated in southern and eastern ***,Kailahun,Moyamba,Bo,Pujehun and Kono are major coffee growing districts in the *** study looks at the extent of phenotypic diversity of the rare and wild Coffea stenophylla in Kenema and Moyamba *** Shannon-Weaver diversity index(H')revealed variations among the samples for the observed 13 morphological traits which ranges from 0 for both fruit colour and calyx limb persistence to 0.87 for angle of insertion of primary branches on the main *** the 13 morphological traits assessed,angle of insertion of primary branches on main stem(0.87),growth habit(0.78),bean size(0.75),young leaf colour(0.66),stem habit(0.66)and fruit shape(0.65)exhibited high level of diversity while seed shape(0.58),stipule shape(0.46),leaf shape(0.43),seed uniformity(0.31)and leaf apex shape(0.06)showed low levels of *** is the first report of phenotypic diversity of *** in Sierra Leone and the study thus unraveled existence of diversity among *** is recommended that these observed variabilities be exploited in order to develop better accessions that are high yielding yet maintain the same ***,genetic fingerprinting needs to be applied to provide a complementary assessment of the observed phenotypic diversity.

Global coffee production is dominated by Coffea arabica(Arabica coffee)and ***(Robusta coffee)due to their relatively high-yielding and quality attributes as opposed to other coffee *** these advantages,production of Arabica and Robusta coffee is facing mounting challenges though not limited to increasing prevalence and severity of biotic and abiotic *** challenges bring forth an indication that the global coffee crop portfolio requires diversification to ensure resilience to the key challenges for sustainable *** Leone is in the center of genetic diversity of genus Coffea,and the country hosts rich coffee genetic *** ***,*** and possibly other wild relative species are indigenous to Sierra Leone and these species offer great potential for a new coffee market and income ***,more efforts of conservation and genetic improvement on these species,are needed to realize these *** objective of this paper is to review the coffee genetic resources in Sierra Leone with an emphasis on the wild coffee species including their conservation status,and the phenotypic and molecular *** also present perspectives for future genetic improvement of ***,and discuss breeding methods,combining ability,and molecular marker-assisted prediction of hybrid ***,with the availability of recently developed single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNP)markers on ***,we suggest that new technologies of molecular breeding,such as genomic selection can significantly accelerate the breeding progress and deliver improved varieties with high yield,good adaptability,and disease resistance.

Open Fractures of Limbs by the Bite of Domestic Donkeys: An Unusual Aetiology

Introduction: The aim of this study is to describe the epidemiological, lesional, therapeutic and evolutionary profile of open fractures of limbs by bites of domestic donkeys. Patients and Methods: This is a prospective descriptive study over 28 months made in the Orthopedics-Traumatology department of the Tambacounda Regional Hospital in Senegal, concerning patients bitten by donkeys, resulting in an open fracture of the thoracic and pelvic limbs. Results: Twelve male patients were included. The average age was 10.50 years ± 2.60. The most common circumstance was the bite when two donkeys were separated. The thoracic limbs were the most affected by the occurrence of the arm. Cauchoix-Duparc type II and AO A2 and B2 were predominant. The essential trimming/osteosynthesis was carried out within 24 hours of the bite. Serovaccination was systematic, but on the other hand, a single dose of anti-rabies serum was administered. Pinning was the most commonly used bone synthesis. Complications were mainly infectious, followed by a case of radial nerve palsy and non-union on pins. Conclusion: The typical profile of an open donkey bite fracture is a male child/adolescent who is bitten during the separation of two fighting donkeys. The lesions are most often found in the thoracic limbs with a predominance of Cauchoix-Duparc type II and type A2 and B2 fractures of the AO, whose treatment consisted of trimming and pinning. The infectious complications of the soft tissues marked the evolution.
