Penile prosthetic implantation represents a cornerstone for patients with organic erectile dysfunction(ED)that is refractory,unsatisfactory,or contra-indicated for other approved medical or mechanical *** this study,we introduce the“Ghattas technique,”wherein we constructed a polypropylene mesh sheath that surrounds and is fixed to a 13-mm malleable prosthesis cylinder,which can increase the cylinder diameter for cases that need a larger *** patients underwent preoperative evaluation and completed the five-item International Index of Erectile Function questionnaire(IIEF-5).Postoperative outcomes were evaluated by IIEF-5 and Erectile Dysfunction Inventory of Treatment Satisfaction(EDITS)questionnaires at final *** mean age of the 23 included patients was 57.9(standard deviation[s.d.]:11.4)years and the mean duration of ED was 8.5(s.d.:7.9)*** improvement was determined by comparing mean preoperative and postoperative IIEF-5 scores(8.3[s.d.:3.9]vs 24.6[s.d.:0.6],Plarger than 13 *** studies are needed to confirm these results.

Objective:To evaluate three flowers of Hibiscus rosa-sinensis(***-sinensis),Quisqualis indica(***) and Senna surattensis(***) for their antioxidant activity by different methods in addition to total phenolic,flavonoid and pigment ***:Antioxidant activity of water,ethanol and absolute ethanol extracts of three flowers; ***-sinensis,*** and *** was *** antioxidant activity was assessed by 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl free radical scavenging activity,ferrous chelating activity,reducing power,nitric oxide scavenging activity,hydroxyl radical scavenging activity as well as total antioxidant *** flavonoids,total phenols and total pigments including chlorophylls and carotenoids were measured for the three ***:The results showed that the highest total antioxidant capacity at concentration of 500 mg/l was found in *** as 0.479 ± *** activity of ***,*** and *** flower extracts against 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl radical showed the highest activity of(90.20 ± 0.29)% with 500 mg/*** screening of the three flowers extracts were carried out for alkaloids,flavonoids,saponins,tannins,steroids,glycosides,terpenoids,amino acid and ***-sinensis showed the total phenolic in water extract of(235.77 ± 14.31) mg/100 g,the other two flowers *** and *** had the total phenolic in ethanol extracts of(937.70 ± 25.06) and(850.30 ± 13.81) mg/100 g,*** the other hand total flavonoids were identified in absolute ethanol extracts in the three flowers[(32.83 ± 1.34),(49.24 ± 4.87) and(2.79 ± 0.23) mg/100 g,respectively].Conclusions:The extracts in the constituents of the three flowers could be used as additives as supplement fractions in foods.

Experimental evaluations were conducted to determine the water sorptivity,setting time,and resistance to a highly acidic environment,of mortar with alkali-activated ground granulated blast furnace slag(GBS)binder and also of combinations of fly ash and GBS *** were activated using mixtures of NaOH and Na_(2)SiO_(3)*** molarity of NaOH in the mixtures ranged from 10 mol·l^(−1)to 16 mol·l^(−1),and the Na_(2)SiO_(3)/NaOH ratio was varied from 1.5 to *** samples were produced using three binder combinations:1)GBS as the only binder;2)blended binder with a slag-to-fly ash ratio of 3:1;and 3)mixed binder with 1:1 ratio of slag to fly *** samples were mixed and cured at(22±2)°C till the day of the *** impact of activator solution alkalinity,activator ratio Na_(2)SiO_(3)/NaOH,GBS content on the rate of water absorption were *** 7,28,and 90 d of immersion in a 10%sulfuric acid solution,the resistance of a geopolymer matrix to degradation was assessed by measuring the change in sample *** influence of solution alkalinity and relative fly ash content on setting times was ***-activated mortar with a slag-to-fly ash ratio of 3:1 had the least sorptivity compared to the two other binder combinations,at each curing age,and for mortars made with each of the NaOH alkaline activator *** sorptivity decreased with age and sodium hydroxide concentrations,suggesting the production of geopolymerization *** reduction in weight of sample occurred after immersion in the strong acid H_(2)SO_(4)solution for three months,regardless of binder *** was due to the synthesis of hydration and geopolymerization products in the presence of curing water,which outweighed the degradation of the geopolymer matrix caused by sulfuric acid.

As hydropower development expands across lowland tropical forests,flooding and concomitant insular fragmentation have become important threats to *** created insular landscapes serve as natural laboratories to investigate biodiversity responses to *** of these most iconic landscapes is the Balbina Hydroelectric Reservoir in Brazilian Amazonia,occupying>400000 ha and comprising>3500 forest ***,we synthesise the current knowledge on responses of a wide range of biological groups to insular fragmentation at *** has largely concentrated on a set of 22 islands and three mainland *** total,39 studies were conducted over nearly two decades,covering 17 vertebrate,invertebrate,and plant *** species responses varied according to taxonomic group,island area was consistently included and played a pivotal role in 66.7%of all studies examining patterns of species *** persistence was further affected by species traits,mostly related to species capacity to use/traverse the aquatic matrix or tolerate habitat degradation,as noted for species of vertebrates and orchid *** research is needed to improve our understanding of such effects on wider ecosystem *** Impact Assessments must account for changes in both the remaining habitat amount and configuration,and subsequent long-term species losses.

It was a 36-year-old patient, 5th Pregnancy, 5th Delivery, 4 live children, and I deceased, had a consultation in the department for the removal of implants. Questioning revealed that she had had the implant three years ago without medical follow-up. It was in view of the difficulties in extracting the capsule that the chest X-ray and CT scan carried out concluded that the implant had migrated into a branch of the left pulmonary artery. Therapeutic abstention has been the attitude of cardiovascular surgeons.

Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi(AMF)are plant root symbionts that play key roles in plant growth and soil *** are obligate biotrophic fungi that form coenocytic multinucleated hyphae and *** studies have shown that diverse microorganisms live on the surface of and inside their mycelia,resulting in a metagenome when whole-genome sequencing(WGS)data are obtained from sequencing AMF cultivated in *** metagenome contains not only the AMF sequences,but also those from associated *** this study,we introduce a novel bioinformatics program,Spore-associated Symbiotic Microbes(SeSaMe),designed for taxonomic classification of short sequences obtained by next-generation DNA sequencing.A genus-specific usage bias database was created based on amino acid usage and codon usage of a three consecutive codon DNA 9-mer encoding an amino acid trimer in a protein secondary *** program distinguishes between coding sequence(CDS)and non-CDS,and classifies a query sequence into a genus group out of 54 genera used as *** mean percentages of correct predictions of the CDS and the non-CDS test sets at the genus level were 71% and 50% for bacteria,68% and 73% for fungi(excluding AMF),and 49% and 72% for AMF(Rhizophagus irregularis),*** provides not only a means for estimating taxonomic diversity and abundance but also the gene reservoir of the reference taxonomic groups associated with ***,it enables users to study the symbiotic roles of associated *** can also be applicable to other microorganisms as well as soil *** is freely available at ***.

The delafossite CuCrO2 elaborated by sol-gel from 40 nm diameter colloid is optically active in the visible region. It is characterized physically and photoelectrochemically. The microstrncture is fairly homogenous with a mean crystallite size of ca. 2 Ixm. The optical gap （1.30 eV）, determined from the diffuse reflectance, is well suited to the sunlight spectrum. The Mott Schottky plot is characteristic of P-type conductivity with a flat band potential of-0.26 VscE. As application, the photoreduction of chromate is successfully achieved in air-equilibrated suspension CuCrO2/ZnO （1/1）. CuCrO2 is photoactivated by visible light and the electrons in the conduction band （-1.34 VscE） are injected to ZnO. In the presence of salicylic acid, a conversion of Cr（VI） to Cr（III） of 57% is obtained under optimal conditions （pH 3 at 25~C, 5x 10-4 mol/l） because of the HCrO4- dark adsorption onto ZnO （4HCrO4- ＋ 3C7H603 ＋ 1802 ＋ 16H~ 4Cr3＋＋ 21CO2 ＋ 19H20, AGO = -557 kcal/mol）. Prolonged illumination is accompanied by a deceleration in the photoactivity owing to the competitive water reduction, an issue of energetic concern. The hetero-system exhibits self sensitization for hydrogen production with an evolution rate of 149 Ixmol/（hr.g）.
