Periventricular leukomalacia （PVL）, a white matter injury （WMI） affecting the premature infant＇s brain is commonly associated with ce- rebral palsy （CP）. Among premature infants 〈 1,500 g, approximately 7,000 develop CP yearly and 20,000-30,000 exhibit major cognitive deficits yearly （Volpe, 2009）. PVL results from hypoxia-ischemia （HI） with or without infection and is characterized by white matter necrotic lesions, hypomyelination, microglial activation, astrogliosis, and neuronal death. Risk factors for the development of PVL include： prematurity associated with immature cerebrovascular development, HI insults with lack of appropriate auto-regulation of cerebral blood flow, free radical production, energy deprivation, intrauterine infec- tion and chorioamnionitis. Affected infants show definitive signs of cerebral palsy such as spastic diplegia, seizures, developmental delay, visual and hearing impairment, scoliosis and incontinence by 6-9 months of age. PVL can also occur in term infants with certain con- genital cyanotic heart disease which will not be our focus here （Volpe, 2001）.

An integrated approach,involving land use patterns and heavy metal contents of the surficial and cored sediment,was proposed to detect the characteristic spatial and temporal scale of point and non-point source human disturbances on the Oualidia lagoon in *** and description of the temporal and spatial distributions of the main contamination sources of heavy metals are analyzed using statistics and gIS *** results show that surficial sediments are highly enriched in heavy metals compared to their preindustrial background ***-use types affected lagoon sediment pollution in different ways:1) agricultural areas had the highest potential for sediment contamination by heavy metals,particularly Pb,Cu and Hg,2) Ni and Cr are the main pollutants originating from urban sewage and 3) oyster farming and traditional land uses such as salt flats,pastures showed low levels of others *** enrichment factors(normalized by Al) obtained from the sediment cores indicated that the lagoon is(strongly/moderately) polluted by all metals which were attributed to agricultural activities and wastewater discharges from urbanized areas.

Pyrethroid esters are widely used as insecticides worldwide. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the harmful effect of deltamethrin on the male reproductive system through the assessment of reproductive hormones, inflammatorymarkers, and testicular function. To achieve our aim, eighty male 7-9-week-old, Wistar rats were taken, weighed, and divided into four experimental groups. The first group was kept as a control group, and the other three groups were given deltamethrin orally at different concentrations (0.87, 8.7, and 17.4 mg/kg body weight) for nine weeks. The resultsindicated that deltamethrin administration associated with a significant decrease in reproductive hormones, especially FSH, LH, and significant elevation in the interleukin 2 (IL2), interleukin 6 (IL6), histamine, and cortisol levels. Also, thesignificance of inhibition of sperm motility and viability, decreased testis weights, sperm count, and fructose in semen were noted. These findings clarify the harmful effect of deltamethrin on the male reproductive system by producing a significant alteration in reproductive hormones, inflammatory markers as well as testicular function.

Nowadays,healthcare applications necessitate maximum volume of medical data to be fed to help the physicians,academicians,pathologists,doctors and other healthcare *** in the domain of Wireless Sensor Networks(WSN)andMultimediaWireless Sensor Networks(MWSN)are tremendous.M-WMSN is an advanced form of conventional Wireless Sensor Networks(WSN)to networks that use multimedia *** compared with traditional WSN,the quantity of data transmission in M-WMSN is significantly high due to the presence of multimedia ***,clustering techniques are deployed to achieve low amount of energy *** current research work aims at introducing a new Density Based Clustering(DBC)technique to achieve energy efficiency *** DBC technique is mainly employed for data collection in healthcare environment which primarily depends on three input parameters namely remaining energy level,distance,and node *** addition,two static data collector points called Super Cluster Head(SCH)are placed,which collects the data from normal CHs and forwards it to the Base Station(BS)*** supports multi-hop data transmission that assists in effectively balancing the available *** simulation analysiswas conducted to showcase the superior performance of DBC technique and the results were examined under diverse *** simulation outcomes concluded that the proposed DBC technique improved the network lifetime to a maximum of 16,500 rounds,which is significantly higher compared to existing methods.

green-Naghdi （g-N） theory of thermoelasticity is employed to study the deformation of micropolar thermoelastic solid with voids considering the influence of various sources acting on the plane surface. The normal mode analysis is used to obtain the analytical expressions of the displacement components, force stress, coupled stress, variation of volume fraction field and temperature distribution. The computed results are presented graphically when the volume source is applied. Comparisons of type II and type III with and without micropolarity effect are made with the results predicted in the context of （g-N） theory.

BACKgROUND Epithelial-myoepithelial carcinoma (EMC) is a rare, low-grade, malignant tumor that constitutes less than one percent of all salivary gland tumors. To date, only one other case report has described radiation-associated EMC in the English language medical *** SUMMARY In this report, we describe the case of a 56-year-old male patient who presented with a neck mass diagnosed as EMC of the left submandibular gland approximately 30 years after mantle field radiation and chemotherapy for Hodgkin lymphoma. Treatment included resection, re-resection with nodal dissection, and adjuvant chemoradiotherapy. This patient was also diagnosed with 4 other secondary malignancies, including stage IV diffuse large B cell lymphoma in the abdomen with subsequent brain metastases, low-grade neuroendocrine carcinoma of the lung, Hurthle cell adenoma, and small B cell lymphoma before the patient expired. This case provides important information regarding the pathology, clinical sequelae, and management of a patient diagnosed with radiation-associated EMC amidst four concurrent *** Further investigation is needed on the efficacy of adjuvant radiotherapy in EMC,especially atypical EMC.
