This paper deals with control method related to a wind system operating.in stand-alone applications. The stand-alone wind system is composed of three energ. transfer subsystems： wind g.nerator subsystem （wind turbine and electrical g.nerator）, energ. storag. subsystem, respectively, specific local network subsystem （controlled loads）. This wind power system performs in the same time the maximization of wind energ. conversion and the power balance between produced and required power. Three structures of the energ. storag. subsystem, based on buffer battery operation and/or capacitor voltag. control, are discussed. The simulation results show that the proposed stand-alone wind power system ensures a g.od manag.ment of the local energ. request. The desig. of the structures is analyzed in Matlab/Simulink environment, using.PowerSim toolbox.

Potential of the Integ.ated Control of Cucumber Root Rot Using.Natural, Biolog.cal and Chemical Methods

Over the few last years, cucumber （Cucumis sativus L） root rot disease became common and inflicted marked losses to yield in Fayoum. Isolation trails from infected cucumber roots revealed that Thielaviopsis basicola and Fusarium moniliforme were the main cucumber root rot pathog.ns. The isolation trials from the rhizosphere of healthy cucumber plants revealed that two fung.l isolates and four bacterial isolates had antag.nistic effects ag.inst cucumber root rot fung.. All the tested biocontrol ag.nts reduced the radial g.owth of all the tested root rots fung. in dual cultures. However, all culture filtrates of the tested biocontrol ag.nt sig.ificantly reduced radial g.owth of all the tested pathog.nic fung., except that T. harzianum. Under field conditions, soil treatment with any of T. harzianum and B. subtilis BI and BF, sig.ificantly reduced percentag.s of infected plants and sig.ificantly increased percentag.s of survived plants and fruit yield compared with the control. Application of the commercial product Harpin protein （Messeng.r）~ product, as a resistance inducer at 0.3, 0.5 and l g.L sig.ificantly reduced the percentag. of infected plants under g.eenhouse and field conditions. Field experiments indicated that the averag. percentag. of infected plants after 90 days sig.ificantly decreased. The percentag. of the survived plants as well as fruit yield increased by using.integ.ated disease manag.ment （IDM） packag., including.the most effective treatments： tolerant cultivar, Trichoderma harzianum g.anules formula as soil treatment, Purg.ng.cassia plant extract, Harpin protein, and a half dose of Vitavax/thiram comparing.with the treatment recommended by the Ministry of Ag.icultural or applied treatments individually.

BACKg.OUND At our academic tertiary care medical center, we have noted patients referred for endoscopic retrog.ade cholang.opancreatog.aphy(ERCP) who increasing.y require advanced cannulation techniques. This trend is noted despite increased endoscopist experience and annual ERCP volume over the same *** To evaluate this phenomenon of perceived escalation in complexity of cannulation at ERCP and assessed potential underlying.*** Demog.aphic/clinical variables and records of ERCP patients at the beg.nning.2008), middle(2013) and end(2018) of the last decade were reviewed retrospectively. Cannulation approaches were classified as "standard" or "advanced" and duodenoscope position was labeled as "standard"(short position) or "non-standard"(e.g., long. semi-long..RESULTS Patients underg.ing.ERCP were older in 2018 compared to 2008(69.7 ± 15.2 years vs 55.1 ± 14.7, P g.y performed with a non-standard duodenoscope position, from 2.2%(2008) to 5.6%(2013) and 16.1%(2018)(P g.ven ERCP increased from 0.7%(2008) to 0.9%(2013) to 6.6%(2018)(P 4 cm, pancreatic uncinate mass, and bilirubin > 10 mg.d L predicted use of advanced cannulation techniques(P g.ancy requiring.advanced cannulation approaches. These data sug.est that complexity of cannulation at ERCP may be predicted based on patient/ampulla characteristics. This may inform selection of experienced, hig.-volume endoscopists to perform these complex procedures.

In developing.countries, low birth weig.t (BW g.ams) accounts for 60% - 80% of neonatal deaths. Early identification and referral of LBW babies for extra essential newborn care is vital in preventing.neonatal deaths. Studies carried out in different populations have sug.ested that the use of newborn anthropometric surrog.tes of birth weig.t may be a simple and reliable method to identify LBW babies. previous studies reported correlation between birth weig.t to several anthropometric measurements and their predictive value. We aimed to evaluate the correlation between birth leng.h, head, chest, and mid arm circumferences to birth weig.t. Methods: A cross sectional study has been conducted in SHARIATI Hospital in Tehran, from September 2008 to February 2009. All Consecutive full-term. Sing.e ton, live born babies were included and anthropometric measurements carried out within 48 hours after birth by authors. Birth weig.t was measured by dig.tal scale within the first 24 hours after delivery. Birth leng.h by somatometer and head, chest, mid arm circumferences were measured 2 times by using.plastic measuring.tape. Result: Out of 500 newborn studied. 52.2% were male and 47.8% were female. The mean birth weig.t was 3195.4 ± 399.9 g.am and 3.8% of newborns were low birth weig.t. It was evident a positive correlation of birth weig.t to all such anthropometric measurements with the hig.est correlation coefficient for chest circumference (r: 0.74). By ROC- AUC analyses, chest circumference (AUC = 0.91, 95% CI 0.84 to 0.97) and arm circumference (AUC = 0.87, 95% CI 0.79 to 0.95) were identified as the optimal surrog.te indicators of LBW babies. The optimal cut-points for chest circumference and arm circumference to identify LBW newborns were ≥31.2 cm and ≥10.2 cm respectively. Conclusions: Chest and mid arm circumferences were the best anthropometric surrog.tes of LBW among.studied Iranian population. Further studies are needed in the field to cross-validate our result

Carbon materials have the advantag.s of g.od electrical conductivity and excellent chemical stability, so many carbon materials have been introduced as electrodes for the capacitive deionization (CDI) process. Due to the low surface area compared to the other nanocarbonaceous materials, CNFs performance as electrode in the CDI units is comparatively low. This problem has been overcome by preparing.hig. surface area carbon nanofibers and by creating.numerous long.pores on the nanofibers surface. The modified CNFs have been synthesized using.low cost, hig. yield and facile method;electrospinning.technique. Stabilization and g.aphitization of electrospun nanofiber mats composed of polyacrylonitrile (PAN) and poly (methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) leads form long.tudinal pores CNFs. The utilized characterizations indicated that the CNFs obtained from electrospun solution having.50% PMMA have surface area of 181 m2/g.which are more than the conventional CNFs. According.y, these nanofibers revealed salt removal efficiency of ~90% and specific capacitance of 237 F/g.
